2781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: September 25, 2020, 10:41:24 AM
Bitcoin is already popular specially in different social media and many teachers and educators already know it for sure and if they teach business related subject I think they can't avoid to include it. Now that we are in new normal in which everything will be through online, I think the knowledge of the people will become more wider with regards to cryptocurrency.

I do not think that Bitcoin is popular with most teachers and educators since it is not within their syllabus that they are teaching within universities. Its actually should not be taught in business related subjects but Finance subjects and the integration of Technology within the Financial Services. Cryptocurrency is produced thru Blockchain Technologies and learning about Blockchain would be beneficial if they want to develop Cryptocurrency related projects.
Or perhaps it would be much better if they will create a course regards with it in which they did already I think but I'm not so sure where though. Teaching crypto shouldn't be limited to the student who studies at Finance but rather must be taught to everyone because if this will be a future currency much better if everyone will be literate regards to it. As much as possible it should be taught on the adult as well.
2782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What actually makes a token pump? on: September 25, 2020, 02:58:17 AM
What makes a token pump is the demand, demand is based on the hype so basically we can say that demand is drive by several factors that lies in the marketing of the project. The only thing that will make the token pump is when the demand for it increases, there are key takeaways to do it. Noticeably, token pump follows the bitcoin trend, you can see a historic lift of the market when bitcoin reached its ATH last 2017, it was like a crypto party.
Indeed, it was because of demand and nothing more. Since crypto was decentralized authorities or whatsoever have no direct contact to manipulate the price of a certain coin so yeah it was all in the demand. Hype and demand is kinda the same though, if you'll think of it if one coin was in hype then the demand is automatically high and vise versa. Bitcoin trend was also a factor on making a tokens price. If you will take a look for the past, wherever Bitcoin goes to either to pump or dump other coins come along with it.
2783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: September 23, 2020, 02:00:36 PM
I'd say that I am very grateful for the person who introduced this forum and the whole cryptocurrencies. Because of him I able to learn new things that I never known. Because of it I able to experience all the things that I don't think I can pull through without the help of Bitcoin. It serves as my life saver. It helps to fulfill my dreams and more. That is why I am believe that this will also provide me a better future.
2784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Visiting official websites and download official apps, not fake ones. on: September 18, 2020, 04:08:36 PM
Don't:
- Google to find official websites because you can find phishing sites.

I actually do google for official website when I want to get the site or install some software, but I don't just click on the first google result, instead I look at mentions of it from multiple sources and check that they all lead to the same address.

It's actually easier to verify the more popular sites, because they will be mentioned by other sites a lot, so despite all the phishing, you'll easily find the real one, but with some less obscure things, it's hard to find even the references to them. For example, it's hard to find a legitimate cracks for software by googling and nearly all results will have malware, and you'd need to get to some specialized forums to find links to relatively safe cracks.
I do also use google to search the official website and use google play to download thier apps. However, before clicking the link I do check first and for some reason I can identify which link is legitimate and what is not perhaps because I am computer literate. Back in a day my friend was almost got signed in on fake Bitcointalk forum luckily I was there and prevent him before he could do it. The lesson here is that you can do use google to find the website you were looking for but verify it first for your safety.

2787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your plans for the coming bull on: September 16, 2020, 02:57:53 PM
If that happens then I will definitely sell my holdings coz why not? I am waiting for it to come, this time I won't be greedy and wait for more increase. I'll be fine as long as I will recieve a decent profit over it. That's everyone mistake, they waiting for more, they tend to be greedy which is totally wrong, doing this could only lead you on missing the bull run. We should be more thoughful regard this thus our patience shouldn't be put in vain.
2788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: September 16, 2020, 01:47:27 PM
I have a thoughts that it would be difficult for old people to understand this technology knowing that this innovation contains a lot of sophisticated system. Though there are numerous of old people can easily to adapt but still majority of them were not. As a matter of fact most of them having a hard time to deal with this new innovation. Apparently, teaching it to young ones would be much better because they are the future.
2789  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What are the risks of mobile wallets? on: September 15, 2020, 04:22:27 PM
What security risks are involved when storing bitcoins in a an Android mobile app wallet, and how to minimize (or preferably eliminate) those risks when using one (such as Electrum)?
Typically, the risk of using your mobile phone to store your coins is being stolen or loss it somewhere so I wouldn't recommend using your phone with these important information. Besides, avoid downloading unknown software so if possible you should have an another phone designated for your storage and on for your daily use.
Keep away your passphrase online because it is more exposed on hackers, much better if you will place it on cold storage.
2790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 15, 2020, 03:57:25 PM
Bitcoin and the whole industry wasn't difficult to understand at all as long as you are not aiming for in-depth understanding with these token. As long as you were only just on understanding the fundamentals this wouldn't be hard and I think having these are enough for you to survive in this industry. Upon your spending time in this market you will fully understand it eventually. And one more thing having interest on this technology will make it easier to learn.

2794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will a BTC bull market begin in July? on: June 29, 2020, 09:41:00 AM
We don't know if the bitcoin will be able to start on being a bull market on the start of the month of July because as of now that the month of June is ending we don't see any chances that the bitcoin has a big movement when it comes to the value of it. Still the bitcoin is very stable as well as the other cryptocurrency.
2795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "NEW NORMAL" Betting on: June 26, 2020, 12:47:48 PM
vaccine is the only solution to our problem.
Although it's a long wait but at least we have something to wait and although it's just announce in Thailand but for sure, other countries can benefit this.

no way . we can slowly find ways to continue living for now even without the vaccine yet . vaccine isnt the only way to solve this problem we have now but we can solve this if people will just obey to everything that they said to them if whats right for them .

its only the people are the ones that making situation longer to recover and even if there are vaccines , if people are not obeying rules there will still be cases that can be found . this is why im not excited to those so called vaccines that they said .
It is true that even though there will be a vaccine, the virus will still flew and flew away because of the incompetent of the people who are not following the rules and the guidelines of the government in order to prevent the spreading of the virus. If the vaccines was invented then probably it will just lessen the number of the people who are being infected.
2796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I buy cryptocurrency? on: June 24, 2020, 10:25:15 PM
Hi.

I have been trying to find a good service/bitcoin wallet to buy cryptocurrencies but haven't been able to find any. They either don't have the coins that I want to buy or the app doesn't work in my region (United States, New York) or their fees are too high or the app just isn't any good.

Can anyone recommend some good options for how I can buy cryptocurrencies? What are people here at this forum using?

It's been taking too long trying to find one that works well enough to use. I just want to start buying coins already.

I think there are some bitcoin machines located at the United States and you can buy bitcoins or other cryptocurrency there. You can also exchange or convert your dollars into cryptocurrency if you want.
There are so many ways on how you will be able to buy or obtain bitcoin, there are a lot of softwares or online exchangers that allows you to buy bitcoins and other cryptocurrency from them.
2797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying food or groceries with Bitcoin on: June 24, 2020, 12:16:14 PM
I hope more and more stores will make it possible to buy goods using bitcoin.
For them to make their stores available for the purchase of food and groceries we must have one thing to do for this to happen, when buy anything around your visility ensure you ask for bitcoin option payment method. Many of us don't always ask for this option to create the awareness of Bitcoin to the shops owners. Let us play our part in this mass adoption which will be good for the entire industry. Personally, I will buy food and groceries with bitcoin because thus will bring in those who haven't heard about the technology before now.
That's right!! In order for the stores to have a bitcoin transaction on buying some goods, why we don't play our part by just asking them if they are accepting bitcoin or any cryptocurrency as a mode of payment to their products? Due to this kind of asking we will be able to open a door of ignorance to other people that there are some people who are looking for a new and more fast transactions on buying their products through the mode of payment using bitcoin.
2798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble to escape your problem? on: May 27, 2020, 05:58:11 AM
Sometimes yes and sometimes no but it also depends on the situation. Actually currently I am playing poker online and some things that may entertain me in order to escape my sadness today due to boredom because of the current situation of our country because of the lockdown due to the coronavirus, but because of this sometimes I become more sad if I am losing money so I can't deny the fact that there are times that gamble may escape you from problem and may put you into huge problem.

2800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 05, 2020, 04:33:14 PM
If the fight between McGregor and Manny Pacquiao will eventually happens then probably I will bet on Manny Pacquiao in any terms especially when the fight is through boxing because we all know that the punch of Manny Pacquiao was solid as rock and many boxers are already know it, but when it comes to octagon I will still go to Manny Pacquiao because there are some news that they say he also know some martial arts so probably I will go to bet on Manny Pacquiao, but they are both strong McGregor and Pacquiao.
