281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saved my year on: February 21, 2018, 07:04:17 PM
I started 2017 broke and with a very low wage. My girlfriend also broke up with me in the beginning of the year.
Although I had committed some trade mistakes I was able to get 400% gains, thanks to btc.  This gave me hope and made my year a lot better.
I wonder how many people bitcoin "saved" this year, even preventing some suicides maybe.
Good to hear that. I hope it will also do to all investors and holders. I’m seeing a ray of hope too. I hope this year will be on my favor so i’ll be able to go home to my home country for good. If God permits, in few months i could be a millionaire like most of you who are here. Thanks to cryptocurrency.

283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: February 20, 2018, 11:01:53 PM
No. You are holding what is yours. You didnt hack it or steal it or have taken by force so it is yours and you have the full right to hold it until when you like. The same also with money, you work for it and you have the right to whatever you want to do with it. It is not called greed.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: February 20, 2018, 10:58:14 PM
It is not good i think. They may agree to bet in the beginning but when losing comes here comes also the blaming. Blaming will lead to fight and misunderstanding which will eventually in the end will lead to break up or separation. I dont think there is peace in a realationship of both gamblers. I cant see their futures as both gamblers too. Smiley
285  Economy / Economics / Re: until when will the bounty program remain? on: February 20, 2018, 10:49:21 PM
I think as long as they find it affective and helpful for them. They are implementing it because it helps in promoting their project or ICOs and i can’t also think of a more effective way of promotion other than what is already existing lime social medias and signature campaigns, videos and blogs. It these promotions be removed bounty will also end but i cannot name another way aside from these.

This is not to complain but only to ask for a clarification. I dont even know where to place my post about this topic because There is no off-topic board in the Philippine local section. Whoever are the moderators of this Local board (Philippines), with due respect may i know why do i experience deletion of  posts in this  section aside from the reason you give in your message as off-topic? If i look at my post i could not figure out why it is called off-topic when everything that i said/do is just quote someone’s post and answer it. I’ve never experienced deletion of any of my post in all board in my entire period of stay in this forum and i am grateful for that but in a local board, my own language spoken, it amazes me. And also to mention, i am not the only one who noticed it. Others experience it as well and even more posts deleted from them. May i know sir and ma'am why is this so?
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: February 20, 2018, 06:10:21 PM
Many but not all gamblers are claiming they gamble for fun and pass time. I was just thinking. If it is the reason why people gamble then why not play online games? There is a lot of good and challenging onlne games wherein you can interact with other people online?
I want to gamble in actual i want to interact with my oponent,i want to enjoy my day to be with them not in online. For me it is more challenging and intense in actual ,you can see every emotions of each opponents you play with. I tried to play online but i felt bored.
But there are also online gamblings have you not tried? I also wonder if online gamblings are also boring because i thought about your point. Maybe you are right. There is more suspense feelings, more challenges and more exciting.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: February 20, 2018, 06:07:24 PM
I have tried to think what goes through my mind when ever I am trying to place a bet. I think something strange do happen to me and that is I always have this thinking that what if I lose, how am I going to feel! I have never want to lose in my mind I want to win always but I think this is impossible. Gamblers here did you always want to win all your bet? If you win all how will the gambling company makes profits?
What a question. Gambling companies are not fool not to take profit from your winnings. If you notice you dont really get the full amount f your winnings, some percentage is being deducted and another question you have, it is normal to feel nervous from losing specially if it is your only money. Better not try if you don't have enough money to bet.
289  Economy / Economics / Re: The lack of financial education on: February 20, 2018, 05:59:58 PM
I think it is still depending on the person’s point of view and principles in life. A person can be an economist professionally but when it comes to their financial status they are still managing so poorly. I know a lot of uneducated people who are managing well with their money and even living better than those who are more educated and professionals.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: February 20, 2018, 05:55:40 PM
as I think, maybe the price of ETH will not pass the bitcoin price this fast. but this year I think ETH will grow more than bitcoin.

Ya. You are right. This beginning of the year 2018, though bitcoin crashed ethereum did not really declined that much and even the opposit. It is better now than before. The usability also of ethereum is very good. It is widely used and in demand.
291  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the economy situation in your country that bad? on: February 20, 2018, 05:52:58 PM
It seems there are bad news all around with doom and gloom. Trade figures going down, jobs cuts, security situation not going well, and bad loans.

Is the economy situation in your country that dismal? Or this is just some fear mongering?

Yes it is. Dollars has gone high though better for dollar earning employees but very bad for the country’s economy because basic commodities has gone high also in prices. Unemployment ratings are high, over populations, early marriages and food shortage. Sickness and lack of medical facilities. A lot of problems.
292  Economy / Economics / Re: Positive thinking brings positive things. on: February 20, 2018, 05:49:41 PM
Forums are being filled with speculation, almost all topics that appear lead to falling bitcoin prices, whether this will continue, this is the right time to buy, blah blah blah. Come on, the storm must pass, let us focus on the positive topics instead of continuing to discuss this 50% decline. Start talking about the positive news from Singapore deputy, bitcoin that has gone up 20% today and others. Think positive and positive things will come.
It is easy to say than to do. Thinking positively for those people who are currently suffering the negative results or the problem will find it hard to even think positively. Specially when the odds have beaten them too much. But anyway, they dont have any other choice but to get up and start all over again. Start hoping for a better days to come.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding will be a risk or not?? on: February 20, 2018, 05:28:30 PM
As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.
Every investment is risky. Bitcoin does not promise or guarantee anything. Everything is just speculations and no guarantee at all but it is up to you how determined you are in taking the risks. We all invest in our own expense so we cannot blame anyone by agreeing with us if indeed bitcoin will crash tomorrow or the next day.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a currency? on: February 20, 2018, 05:19:44 PM
It doesnt matter to me it he regards bitcoin a currency or not. If it is not a currency which is somehow true because it is not accepted everywhere but it doesnt affect the value of bitcoin. Bitcoin cant be a currency so it is also ok if it is called an asset. Like gold and even better than gold.
295  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: February 16, 2018, 05:12:59 PM
I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
No it is not gambling but the nature of investment in it is also related to gambling. Like you take the risk of losing your capital because you dont know how much will be the price tomorrow of when is it going to recover in value. It is 50/50 chances too.
296  Other / Off-topic / Re: All CryptoCurrencies are scam? on: February 16, 2018, 05:09:04 PM
How? Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin itself is not a scam but it becomes scam because of greedy people. Greedy people use it to take advantage of other people’s trust and weakness and to satisfy their selfish greedy desire and it created a bad image to cryptocurrency whenever a certain crime is being reported in the news that is connected to crypto.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: February 16, 2018, 05:02:19 PM
Yes they use it money laundering and i think it roots on corruption and theft . Perfect for them to use, anonymous, untraceable and no third party needed. Easy. Those who’ve used bitcoin to scam people is also considered crime.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: February 16, 2018, 04:56:36 PM
I think it is because they dont know much about bitcoin and they just listen to word of mouth that they are hearng from people who dont also know. Those hearsays that people spread make them against it. Or some are against it because they hear crimes being linked to bitcoin, scams and other illegal activites.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meme: "Bitcoin user not affected" on: February 15, 2018, 11:00:15 PM
I made a meme with some of the ideas from here.

Lol! You can also add, “sorry to skeptics”, “sorry to negative”, “go home cowards”.  Grin
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: European Central Bank: It is not our job to Regulate Bitcoin on: February 15, 2018, 10:54:53 PM
It is a good news. But this statement is also ironic. It is not because he excluded bitcoin from their regulations doesnt mean they are not interested in bitcoin too. It could be a reversed psychology. Maybe they are taking a big preparations on their next steps?
