I've just done a quick search, and here we go: "If you donate 50 BTC, you get VIP status, which allows you to set a custom title", quoted from:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38071.0

But it's interesting that "Hippie Tech" is not in donation site, maybe he doesnt want to be listed there.

282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: free electricity what would you do? on: March 29, 2018, 12:28:20 PM
Many people are selling their rigs after the FUD of ETH asic miner. so if you would like to mine with 2nd hand rigs, you should collect them with reasonable prices, even 2nd hand GPUs (I think most of them just were used in 6 months not more) could last few years more. You have free electric, it means you already get profit then nothing to be regret, you will have ROI for sure but not that fast, so if you think of long term, just wait a bit more, GPU's prices are going down then collect as much as you can. I've started selling some ETH recently, I just want to be ready to buy more GPUs at my expected prices (my electric price is ~0.075-0.08$/kwh).

Raven coins are doing better then zec for the moment.

I've just visited the ANN thread of Raven coin as I saw a lot talks about Raven recently. It seems like the idea is really interesting with rotation algorithms. But I checked their whitepaper, there's not much details. I ever heard one another coin has this idea, but it failed on development. It's hard to say that Raven is doing better than ZEC, but If ZEC creates a fork, so it's yes. The difficulty level of ZEC already double as compared with its in last November. Its trend almost looks like what ETH performs.

...my total plotted files are around 80Tb. But the mined Burst is coming less recently, just ~3200 Burst per month.

What pool are you using? I have 58tb plotted and getting about 2,700 BURST per month on POCC 0-100. I found I got more in 0-100 than in 50-50.

I'm mining at pool.burstmining.club. I dont know how's about the pool rewards, normally I got average 55 Burst per day but even I found a block, I just got only around 830 Burst for that block.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Recently started to try HDD Mining on: March 28, 2018, 12:34:30 PM

Rejected shares were GPU shares at first because blago HDD miner can submit shares as soon as its able to. You can only fail to submit if another block gets found before you submit your ongoing shares. Anyway then my connection became completely unstable. I wasn't even able to connect to the internet.

I didn't try it yet with win7, will do it today probably.

That monitor is a 7" raspberry pi monitor. Yes It has an HDMI port. The one in this link.

Thank you very much! That portable Raspberry pi 7 inch LCD is exactly the thing I need now. Whenever I come to check my rigs, I always need to hand a long with 3kg monitor Sad(
For rejected share, I think in most block my miner could not meet the deadline as well, my total plotted files are around 80Tb. But the mined Burst is coming less recently, just ~3200 Burst per month.

One fan can cool 3 of your HDD's. Those seagates have 2 usb ports on the front panel. You can dial your fan there.

This is my mini rig:

But for some reason something went wrong. My ping went too high. I started to have connection interruptions, started to get too many rejected shares and after a while wifi just didn't work at all. I couldn't keep it going. Whether it was a windows 10 problem or my usb wifi couldn't handle the statical electricity which was generated by the HDD's and my GPU I don't know. The problem was one of those I am sure.

Hi, your setup looks very cool as well. Could you please share me what's that monitor? does it have HDMI? And you mean the rejected shares is for GPU right?

I am thinking to rent some of my HDDs to Storj but as far as I know it may take very long time to fill all the storage with Storj.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Recently started to try HDD Mining on: March 28, 2018, 08:14:14 AM
I joined to mine Burst coin from last December. It's quite interesting as it consumes not much power.

Hi mate, your rig setup is very cool, coolest burst rig I've ever seen for sure. So I wonder do you currently still keep mining Burst coin? Btw, for your Burst coin rigs, how's about your expected ROI? and also how much you need to pay for electric bill per month?
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [2018-02-12]Bitmain To Release Ethereum ASIC Miner F3 With 72Gb DDR3 Dram In Q2 on: March 28, 2018, 03:08:41 AM
I just dont understand how they could make it happen since memory price is a way expensive, while their asic miner was claimed with 72 Gb RAM, so how's it possible with just around 2k usd for 200 mhs. Now I think Bitmain already has many asic miner for ETH and XMR, they just release the miners out to market as XMR is going to change algorithm, or ETH moves to PoS. So, let see how it's going.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to GPU mining (late March 2018)? on: March 28, 2018, 02:44:34 AM
I just saw some news quoted that Bitmain develped Ethereum asic miner "with a massive amount of RAM" which is quite incredible, the shipping date is very close at Q2 of 2018. If it's the case, it's incredibly hard for our GPU rigs, and of course Bitmain's going to kill my mining farm very soon. Even now the mining profit is already very low. https://www.ccn.com/bitmain-has-developed-an-ethereum-asic-miner-wall-street-analyst-claims/
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum miner? on: March 27, 2018, 02:51:01 AM
All you need to do is on POWER PLAN AND OPTIONS

• In search type “Power Options“
• Click on “Show additional plans“
• Select “High Performance” plan
• Then still on “High Performance” plan, click “Change plan settings“
• Select “Never” on all four selections for “Turn off the display” and “Put the computer to sleep“
• Click “Change advanced power settings” and look for “PCI Express” -> “Link State Power Management“, make sure it is set to “OFF“, usually it is but better to check on that
• Restart the rig

And you should put miner shortcut in startup folder, this will let your miner program automatically start as window restarts. In address bar, type: shell:startup

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Medium Size Farm Buildout (Pics Added) on: March 26, 2018, 12:05:10 PM
Your designs look very nice. Especially the cooling setup.
If you are going to build more rigs, I think it's better to make isolation between hot (outtake) and cool air (intake) along with this high speed fan.

293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are you running any masternodes? on: March 26, 2018, 11:56:05 AM
I bought VIVO for running masternode at price ~0.0006 BTC, and at current price which already down 6x, it seems like I could not get the ROI.
Masternodes coins are too volatile and as I see a lot of masternodes coins look the same.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia 1070 not working on Windows with 1709 update? on: March 25, 2018, 06:09:44 AM
It ever happen for my rigs as I updated to fall creator version. In my case, it's just caused by driver did not recognize some GPU, I check every single section in device manager to find where the rest VGA and update the driver for each of them.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Power for mining on: March 25, 2018, 04:27:09 AM
If you're looking for hosting services, I think you may take a look on Ambit Mining.
I followed their youtube channel for a while and I learned a lot from them on how to do maintenance and make ventilation.
And it's quite interesting that I realized that they are going to have an ICO in next month. As far as I know, they focus on hosting services, and it's incredible that the target for their farm is 20 Mega Watts.

296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Router mining ETH at 21Mh/s using only 18Watts on: March 24, 2018, 12:29:23 PM
The design looks very cool. And it's using a Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A53 (1.5Ghz), and a Dual-Core ARM Cortex-R5 (600 MHz) and 1 ARM Mali™-400 MP2, and very nice config with 2x DDR4 SODIMM 4-8GB, but 21 Mh/s is very powerful. It's almost the same with a Gtx 1060, and I think 18 Watts is too good to be true for these programmable logic chips. If its the case, I think Bitmain could make a move very quick with a powerful Asics miner for ETH.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running Corsair 1200 & 1000 watt psu's near max capacity. Safe? on: March 23, 2018, 03:54:41 PM
I've ever tested a rig with 6 x MSI 1070 Seahawk at 100% power limit (full load), Kill a Watt indicated that the total power consumption is 1080W, and the PSU I used is Super Flower 1200W. It run only in about 2 hours than the rig crashed. I think you should not push your PSU too much, I suggest the safe operating range is <80% power limit of your PSU, because we're talking about 24/7, and the thing is PSU's efficiency is getting worse during your mining. For me, I set all of my rigs mine at 75% power limit.

I would like to reserve Vietnamese translation. I have spread the words for more than 50 ICOs, but I have never had a chance to work for Amazix. So hope this time I get it.

299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How can you cool/vent the rigs in a garage? on: March 23, 2018, 04:29:09 AM
I think using air conditioner is not good idea for garage cooling. Before I have a mini garage which is 9m2 with 2 AC, but it seems stuck at ventilation and not effective.
Finally, I have to setup again with 2 box fans and 2 high speed fans and remove all AC. The ventilation is very good, the room temperature is kept at around 34C, but these high speed fans are quite noisy.

300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are some algorithm keeps crashing on me.. on: March 23, 2018, 04:18:22 AM
If you already mined at stock setting (without OC) but it still keep crashing, I think the possible reason is you set too high intensity (for neoscrypt algo).
