281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bought myself some waves on: November 18, 2017, 11:50:36 PM
WAVES is one of those coins I'm still on the fence over. Was so tempted when it took a dip 3 weeks ago (think around $3 was when it started peeking my interest). Think if it ever goes back to those levels during the next altcoin dip I might snag myself some.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: November 18, 2017, 11:46:56 PM
As others have said not sure why some people decide to live in this topic, if you decided to bail after what 3 months then move on. Don't expect to make a quick buck out of every investment. Deciding to invest in a long term project such as this was obviously a stupid move. Learn from your mistakes and stop spreading crap unless you have evidence to back it up.

I've posted some negative stuff about Monetha before (see my post history) but at least it was based on findings and not just "Omg I lost X money, SCAM, Crap project"
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] 🔥5600ETH🔥 Pundi X - Any store can buy, sell and accept Crypto on: November 14, 2017, 11:16:13 PM
Can you please adjust my rank to Member?
Line74 in spreadsheet under signatures.

Also some nice additions to the website since I last visited, looks a lot sleeker. Love the video showing a working product, something hardly any ICOs have these days.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect on: November 14, 2017, 11:10:28 PM
Not that I've done much research into bitconnect or had any dealings with them (since I heard so many negatives) how could they realistically shut it down? Unless the site is hosted within the UK they simply move servers elsewhere. Getting a block put on the UK ISP providers for that site will result in multiple mirrors setup or simple VPN to bypass.

That's the good and the bad blockchain technology, you cant shut it down. But ultimately it means scam companies can continue to run their business unless the community decides to kill it off.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing on ICOS is good or bad ? on: November 14, 2017, 11:05:59 PM
I think the ICO investment boat has passed, back a year ago when you review the percentage of good ICOs with original ideas vs scams it weighed in your favor. These days it's like finding a needle in a haystack but there are still good ones out there. There's been some big boomers in past 3 months like Bitquence, Powerledger, Walton etc sure there's many more. Now compare that with total number of ICOs in past 3 months Tongue
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin is down, all alts are up? on: November 14, 2017, 11:02:24 PM
Need to remember we're entering the Christmas period soon so any companies will most likely wait until Q1 before releasing any big announcements. I wouldn't be surprised to see all coins gradually dip over the holiday period and then come back in the new year.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ENJIN a scam??? on: November 09, 2017, 11:07:40 PM
Being an avid gamer I've been looking in to Enjin and so joined their Telegram. Then I noticed GoNetwork too. Looking at both whitepapers they were very similar. So I went on Enjin telegram and asked their CEO Maxim what he thinks are the main differences between GoNetwork and Enjin. He instantly deleted my messages and banned me. Try it if you don't believe me, ask him the question, you'll be on here confirming that you're banned from the telegram group.

What's more worrying is that GoNetwork's whitepaper really seems to address how they'll bring Ethereum to mobiles. Enjin's does not. I'm wondering now if the price dump is because those more tech savvy than me are aware that Enjin doesn't have the know-how to bring this tech to mobile?

What do you guys think has Maxim got something to hide?

This is Maxim, CEO of Enjin & Enjin Coin. Let me just state the following:

What a pathetic attempt at advertising gonetwork. I will always ban people like you who enter our channel and advertise a dubious upcoming ICO. You should be ashamed of yourself to stoop this low. Stay away from gonetwork guys. They are most likely a scam if they are this desperate for attention.

This right here is how they operate to raise awareness of their upcoming ICO, by trying to combine a successful brand 'Enjin' with the an unknown entity such as gonetwork. A sad attempt to generate drama and advertising.

I welcome non-shills to join our telegram: https://t.me/enjin_coin we have 4248 real users! You can find our official website here: https://enjincoin.io/
and if you wish to trade Enjin, I recommend Binance: https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002560032

Chilly, pass this message to your CEO, If you continue this pathetic attempt at advertising gonetwork by using our brand (just like your failed attempts in our telegram channel), I'll make sure that it will backfire.

Oh and also, the obvious fake likes / fake retweets / fake users on gonetwork social channels, is not a good look and rather obvious.

Game currency crypto drama, gonetwork you going to sit down and take that? lol *Grabs some popcorn

Can't wait for news from the Tokyo meetup, Agrello and Everex two other strong new ICOs. Congrats to everyone that held and didn't bail.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: caught SLEEPING! noob to the crypto world... ETH? BIT? NEO? RIPPLE? -advice- on: November 08, 2017, 10:24:03 PM
First off, hold your horses! You missed it by 5 years but it'll be around for many more so be glad you're getting in now. But don't go making the mistake of looking for quick wins. Invest in a solid crypto and be prepared to hold for a few years if you want to be big returns.

If your looking for a quick buck to make up the loss of not investing 5 years only way is playing the scalping game but be prepared to lose it all as you most likely will.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to buy eth and altcoins with lowest fees on: November 08, 2017, 10:21:36 PM
Maybe not the cheapest but by far the safest, coinbase. You can get reduced fees with IBAN payments using GDAX which they also own. Check how much your bank charges first though for IBAN payments as sometimes it's cheaper to pay by card.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ENJIN a scam??? on: November 06, 2017, 11:31:32 PM
Price seems to be slowly tanking, I'll give it another few weeks before I jump on board!

Whitepaper was really good but their behaviour seems really odd. Higher risk but potentially higher reward.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoins to buy ? on: November 06, 2017, 11:26:17 PM
As others have said stick with reliable altcoins when first starting out, avoid ICOs completely unless your 100% certain it's the right decision. Most can be picked up afterwards for cheaper in majority of cases or worst case scenario slightly more when bounty holders dump.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: overgrowth BTC on: November 02, 2017, 11:09:05 PM
Think people are finally learning their lesson from all the ICOs which have no actual product to sell (apart from a rare few). They see BTC price rising and look at it's history of constant rises and decide that's for them and to be honest I don't blame them.

Also as others have said, the general awareness of crypto currency is becoming more mainstream. The first coins people are most likely to buy are Bitcoin or Ethereum.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost basically my entire investment last night doing something very stupid... on: November 02, 2017, 11:01:08 PM
Sad story to hear, recommend stepping back from it for few months and return when you feel your ready. Start small and see it as a hobby rather than a way of life. Maybe set a limit of say $20 a week or month and slowly start to build up your portfolio. Try rewarding yourself with fund topups maybe by cutting back on things in real life like smoking, if you give up use what you'd pay for a pack to top up your fund. Same with drinking etc you get the idea.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 10 UPCOMING ICOs 2017 Q4 on: November 01, 2017, 12:42:22 AM
I liked GUTS Tickets but the amount they gave away as bounty incentives for a four week period put me off. 2 Eth worth of tokens for 4 weeks (40 posts) significantly devalues the token value.
Not really. There are some bounty hunters who choose to dump their bounties instead of holding them. But even if they do, you can just use that opportunity to buy cheap tokens, so it ultimately doesn't matter.

Exactly, why invest at the ICO stage when so many tokens given out at bounty. More chance of big dumps so I'll just wait until then.

297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KICKICO - PLATFORM FOR FUNDRAISING ON CRYPTOCURRENCY on: October 30, 2017, 11:46:38 PM
If you could get backer projects to give Kick tokens at least a value on par with the ICO then it'd prevent the plummeting of the price on the exchanges. That way people would want to buy KICK tokens due to the bonus amount they get.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ ATB Coin - the world’s fastest and most secure cryptocurrency ★★ on: October 27, 2017, 11:00:32 PM
Waiting until price hits around $1.20 maybe slightly less then I'm out. All the fake shit from newbie accounts claiming they've doubled their token yield from 1 month of mining whilst others have had absolutely nothing.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Name Your Top 5 on: October 27, 2017, 10:45:27 PM
Stupidly high soft/hard caps
Issuing massive amount of bounty rewards which devalues it for the next couple of months due to dumps
Poor communications from team prior or immediately afterwards
ICOs that don't take security serious and end up getting hacked or leaking private data like email addresses
Meme based ICOs
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smaller coins for portfolio. Would you buy these coins? on: October 27, 2017, 10:43:06 PM
Depends on your level of risk vs reward. A project like Substratum has a very ambitious roadmap but if it pays off the returns will be huge. But obviously that carries more risk of failure due to the sheer amount of work and technology that needs completing.

Stuff like Tenx is taking a traditional business model and just applying it to a different currency, not simple by any means but it's not blue sky development so less risk but probably less returns.
