281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🇨 Crypterium - Digital Cryptobank with Credit Token & Open Platform🇨 on: October 17, 2017, 01:43:50 PM
I'm not quite understand, how is Crypterium similar to https://request.network/ platform? I see different descriptions in whitepaper but as I see the products are pretty similar, especially where Crypterium says about its own platform for developers.

As I see Request.network is more like PayPal for cryptocurrencies. Crypterium aims to build a bigger and more complicated infrastructure to provide a wider range of banking products. The Request.network concept looks also interesting, we added to our comparison table we will publish soon. Join our Telegram chat in order to get more details https://t.me/crypterium

Hundred of ICOs, thus you will hear hundred of suggestions. Everyone has his/her own favorites. For say, I love Jibrel Network (the project may become the highest raiser of 2017). But that doesn't mean you should follow blindly the preference of others. Most of the suggestions here will be either biased (by investors or bounties joiner) or careless ones.
Better invest on your own study and understandings. In this way you could learn out how to become learned investor.
For insight of new projects follow sites like ICOBench and many others giving honest review of ICO projects.
yes, it may be better to choose your own ICO project. but all this time, I still follow the advice of the masters here. I am still a beginner, so not yet quite understood, which ICO project will be successful

Too many upcoming ICOs and I know Providence will make it successful on November their main sale even, presale ongoing already take a look.

The idea of blockchain-provable fair casino appears in my mind form time to time Cool Thanks! Will check it out

285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam on: October 17, 2017, 01:06:42 PM

Invest in companies with real products that have existing customers! This is why I'm an investor of worldcore, they have a product that is used by real paying customers. Avoid any me-too coins, those are coins that are clones of everything else. Avoid coins with names of animals or that make zero sense. Avoid anything that advertises 50% free coins, or anything else outrageous. Use common sense. Ignore trolls.

This is not enough also. If a company feels just wonderful without a blockchain, why it needs ICO?
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam on: October 17, 2017, 01:05:20 PM
For me, background check matters most. Why not have a research about the team's profile from a reliable source like LinkedIn? Also try to read first their White Paper and/or their website. And with that, that's the time to decide whether you will invest or not in their ICO.

I don't think that's enough to decide. The token distribution structure, cap size, market conditions, and viability of product in general are also matter.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best ico coming... on: October 17, 2017, 03:51:51 AM
hi, brother and sister

how to find a good ico?
any ico recommend ??

thanks...

Easy  Grin

First, learn how to avoid a scam. Second, do IT market research.Third, analyse the team and product closely. While choosin the ICO to join in I would recommend to keep in mind two things also: 1) the product should get more value from blockchain tecnology and 2) blockchain community should get value from the product

My own research for November https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2245059.0
288  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before doing any transactions!) on: October 17, 2017, 03:43:14 AM
Good stuff, thanks. Is there a similar topic for ICO scams?

290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICOs you suggest to November on: October 17, 2017, 03:31:54 AM
I’m definitely looking into Worldcore ICO. They are an established company and are looking to expand their operations. It looks solid IMHO.

Be careful, Worldcore is likely scam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2236259.0

These guys raised so much money that they can easily rest on the islands right now)

I guess this is not so easy as you think. And I hope they won't

I mean, is there an exact list of rules that could guarantee that someone who follows them will surely not become a victim of another ICO scam. Of course there are obvious rules like event participation, reputation of team members among ather prifessionals, approve by well-known advisors. But potential scammers also know all these criteria and know what to fake exactly.

Is there a 'blockchain way' to create an algorithm, scheme or set of conditions allowing to recognise and ban scammers? Not government laws way which also good for the market in my opinion.

Would be appreciate a link to an old thread, perhaps I just didn't find it.

UPD Best Advices:
  • learn about previous ICO projects, select viable ones and participate similar ICOs

In my opinion, I think that reading should be the first rule before you can actually consider investing in any ICO, a lot of investors who usually get scammed are those who hardly read and understand the projects they are willing to invest in.

If you read and understand the idea behind the project, its rare that you will get scammed. Read almost every document that is related to the project, understand and familiarise yourself with the team behind and ensure that their profiles are not fake. Further ensure that documents such as the whitepaper, roadmap are brought forward and understand everything that is written on the white paper.

Agree about it. I would also recommend to think about the value blockchaing technology brings to the product

Thank you mate! Nice one, I've thought about such a project just recently
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICOs you suggest for November on: October 16, 2017, 07:49:03 PM
Probably someone already mentioned it, anyway, check out Wordcoin. Their product is almost finished but the ICO is still live because their plans are quite ambitious so they need money for multilingual support and other improvements. They are developing platform for freelance services. And they already raised almost 1 million USD! Website: https://wordcoin.io

Another one that I would suggest is Ice Rock Mining. It's very simple. You buy tokens for 1 dollar and they buy them back for the price 3 dollars on 1st May 2018. So profit is basically guaranteed. https://icerockmining.io
i like the wordcoin idea, but they did not able to collect good money, i hope they will collect much money at the last days of ico

I agree, the project is good but not strong enough. Probably because the problem it trying to solve doesn't exist
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICOs you suggest to November on: October 16, 2017, 07:35:08 PM
Although ICOs keep popping up like mushrooms, right now, I continue with the same preference which is Enjin Coin, Filecoin, ARToken by Cappasity and Unify. Each one of them attempts to address a real issue that has great potencial in my opinion.

Enjin has a good dev team, is doing a very good marketing campaign, and will create a very good feature for games. I'm a gamer myself, and I would love to be able to bring those special itens across games, or sell them for profit. We all know how important itens in a game are incredibly valuable for players, so they might have a great market there.

Filecoin fights the monopoly of centralized storage, so it looks like a good project as well.

As for ARToken by Cappasity, they also seem to have a good team behind the project, that already worked in big companies, so they probably know what they are doing. I haven't seen any marketing in the forum, but I see them around, so I think they are getting to users. Their project is very specific, but it has great potencial, because it 3D content and VR has a great market in the world and it generates millions of dollars.

Finally Unify has a very simple and achievable project, and quite important for the crypto world in general. They can't go wrong if they aim to help people get engaged in crypto. They will he helping themselves and all the crypto in general. Also they have very clear goals when it comes to get listed in exchanges, which is also great for the coin. Their "small" goals are quite achievable and the long terms ones, like the crowdfunding platform have great potencial, so I think it will be a good investment.

Agree about ARToken and definitely Filecoin. Will take a look at others too
another project related to gaming is gizer. gizer seems quite good they are already experienced and seems promising. this one could be the next ico project related to game that will success.

Thanks for suggestions. I'm not an ICO expert, but what do you guys think about scalability of all the projects you meant? Despite Gizer of course. This one is new for us and looks very interesting

Thank you! First one is interesting but I not sure the product solves an existing problem. But perhaps it does. Second one is really rocking! Will watch it closely

For me easily the best ICO for november so far is Quantstamp. I did a short review with my reasoning about why I do think is a great one. https://steemit.com/quantstamp/@jlanzago/quantstamp-automated-audits-for-smart-contracts-in-the-ethereum-network

Thank you, this one looks trustworthy, will learn about it more
