281  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] 1 Terahash DX Large [180Ghs] [52/52 Available] on: June 18, 2013, 11:01:16 PM
This is incorrect.  I spoke with them and they said the orders have 5 days to pay for the item to keep their queue.

Thanks for visiting.

hI sTAT,

I haven't purchased it yet.  Need to see how many others are interested.  I don't want to end up being the only investor.  If you want to be a part of a group buy that I have already placed an order on.  You can check out my group buy for the KNCMiners.  Basically I'm spreading my money around.

Whats your order #? Have you paid?
if you haven't paid, you won't be receiving it anytime soon.  orders are processed by when they've been paid.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Problem with Gigabyte7970 at Skrypt mining on: June 18, 2013, 10:27:57 PM
Powered risers are used to prevent the mobo from burning out when 5 or 6 cards are connected.
I use only 4 cards on mobos, and it runs smoothly. So that's why I don't use powered raisers.

Anyway, raisers are definitely not the root of my problems..
Mate, It can be anything... from a faulty ram to a  bios setting you changed (some bios settings changes by themselves after fast reboot or electrical spikes- for eg. Asus P5QDeluxe)
You said your cgminer settings are identical for all your rigs... it's a hardware issue.  Check the pci-e slot with a multimeter (find out which pins in the PCIe slot are the power pins and check what voltage you have there with the multimeter)

I get the same crappy problem with my 7990 Maltas.  One card with two gpus.. one gpu runs at 675 and the other runs at 520.  They both run at 100C

Did they send you a tracking number when they shipped it?  Still waiting for mine!

285  Bitcoin / Group buys / [Group Buy] CLOSED on: June 18, 2013, 06:20:13 PM
This group buy is intended to let forum members take part in the opportunity to purchase cheap hash-rate through the recently launched Terrahash Klondike Assembly performed in the USA.  I am within hours of their office so if anything occurs, i will take the unit there for repairs if necessary.
The Group as a whole will have ownership of the unit.  During our group ownership, if an opportunity presents itself to sell the unit early, we will put it up for a vote.  If more than 60% agrees to sell the unit early.  We will sell and everyone will get their split according to the shares they own.   I personally feel this is the fairest deal and it’s what separates us from other offers.   The unit will be housed at a data center so the unit will be properly cooled at a temperature of 67 degrees 24/7.  The unit will also be connected to a UPS at all times to ensure there’s no electrical issues.
[/b]
A Little info on Terrahash:

TerraHash will sell ASIC Bitcoin mining gear using the Avalon ASIC chips. More information: http://www.terrahash.com

Basically what we are doing is as follows:

We have ordered 20,000 chips from Avalon. We will be ordering Klondike boards, as soon as the design is ready. We are in process of ordering all the other components. Once we have everything, we will assemble the boards and sell them.
Once we have all the components, we will start taking orders for board assembly. In this case, you will send us your chips, we will put them on a boards along with other components and ship them back to you, for a fee of course
We will also be offering plug and play kits with an enclosure, power supply, cooling fas, cables etc.

Update June 13

We now have sample Avalon chips and few board. Will update when we assemble one.

Group Buy info:

The unit that the shares relate to is the Terrahash DX Large miner advertised for 180 GH/s (https://terrahash.com/product/terrahash-dx-large/).

I have structured the purchase so that members wanting to get access to the exceptionally cheap hash rate/GH that the Terrahash DX offers can secure hash rate from one of the machines without spending the full 100+ BTC for a purchase.

According to Terrahash shipping should begin sometime in late July:

Offering:

- 52 shares of 2BTC each are available.
- Each share is worth 3ghs of hashing power
- Each share entitles the owner to 1/60 of the BTC proceeds from a KNC Miner Saturn mining 24/7 for 30 months*, payment will be made to the address of the shareholders weekly. (* Miner breaking after 12 month warranty, random acts of nature like datacenter burns down etc.,internet downtime, not covered in 24/7 for 30 months(should not be a problem))
- The 8 outstanding shares will be owned by OP as payment for power/maintenance of the miner, peripheral hardware needed (UPS, possible router etc).
- After 30 months we will consider decommissioning the miner if it is no longer profitable to run.

IN CASE OF NON DELIVERY: I take no responsibility for the possibility that Terrahash does not deliver the miner. I have done what I consider a thorough due diligence but as we all know, you can never 100% guarantee anything when it comes to pre-orders.

To purchase shares:

- Send 2BTC per share to address: 1BmMNnMMEgw6EpDBNx1d9ZdRaiZw5y1ycB

- PM me/and post the transaction ID (txid) in this thread. ONLY use sending addresses you fully control. I will use the sending address for BTC payouts for your share ownership and if you request change of payout address I will require that you can sign your share purchase address to make this happen OR I WILL NOT CHANGE THE RECEIVING ADDRESS. This is for your own protection.

If I have forgotten anything or you require more info etc. Please feel free to ask/post in this thread.

Should the Group Buy not sell atleast 35 shares within 48 hours I reserve the right to refund all share holders their purchase price -1% for transaction fees and management of the group buy.

This will be interesting to watch. Will get some popcorn...

Honestly there's not much to see here. Save your popcorn for Yifu's response to the public as to whether he will refund what is mined with the rigs while they hold them.

Whatever...

294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: hypothetical, how would you turn 2000 bitcoins into cash? on: June 15, 2013, 07:24:26 PM
Hello, after a cursory look at Mt. Gox's limitations on withdrawal $ amounts, and maybe Coinbase's withdrawal amounts

I was wondering how one would turn an amount of bitcoins over $10,000 into cash. Mt. Gox has a $10,000/month limit for everyone I believe

so what are the best ways to convert larger amounts quickly? pros and cons of these methods (fees, how long it takes, etc)

is there any exchange that will let a user wire $100,000 out, or via ACH

Easy..just got to BTC-E and do it.. or I can help..
295  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB 3 btc monthly with paypal on: June 15, 2013, 07:23:58 PM

If the PayPal seller insists on using the red highlighted payment type to send you the USD (or any other currency) then it is likely a scam.

I think gifts are reversable also.. if it's from a stolen credit card..etc
