281  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales NEW STOCK ***NOW SHIPPING*** on: January 11, 2014, 05:32:01 AM
Apologies if this is a common question, I didn't see it on first page and this thread has >200 pages on it. Smiley

Is the rPi image you provide required? I run an rPi with MinePeon already for by existing hardware. I wonder if I bought a small 100GH rig if I can just plug it into the existing USB hub my rPi is using currently along with MinePeon.

this miner isn't use usb port instead use GPIO from RPi.

Why are the prize at MBP so overprized?

They aren't really overpriced. Very close to my target range right now. The difference with these are they are ready to ship right now vs the other companies that if you order from now you will not receive for at least 2 or 3 months.

The chips are also more efficient than antminer and avalon G2.

I doubt it. Antminers are running at 1.1V. If run at 0.9V Antminers would be almost as efficient as Bitfury. Check out Bitburner fury which run the chips close to 1.0V and the power consumption sky rockets to almost 2W/ GH/s

The voltage is only part of the equation i think. The bitfury chips only use around 1-1.2W/GH at 2.2GH a chip while the bitmain chips use around 2-2.5w/GH at 3GH per chip

EDIT: ordered 6 cards at the new price. While I think it could/should be a little lower, I had $2100 in store credit so 5 of the cards were 'free' (due to the september shipping delays)

just need to buy 1 more antminer and I will cross the 1TH mark for my mine

nice

Nope, not interested in bitfury chips. Need Avalon

you are not going to find any Avalon G2 asic chip in GB and alot of thing happened to GB for Avalon G1 asic that why.

Would someone recommend a 110 psu for this?  Thanks.

I did some homework, and the 220v PSU will still run on a 120 plugin, I dont want to get into the science of watts and amps and whatnot, but they will work on a 120 plugin as long as you have the correct plug to plug into your wall.

most newer psu will auto to 110 or 220v.

Order placed after discussing with them. Willing to roll the dice on power consumption and getting proper PSUs.

Any thoughts on 2x600w vs 1x1000w?

you better off get 1x1200W psu.

price dont look good for new year 2014 back to 999.00 usd for Hboard and 10 or more for 650.00 usd each hboard.
Prices haven't changed recently.  V1.2 are $675 and V2.2 are $700.

Meanwhile, Antminer 180GHs prices keep dropping  Undecided

that 3 btc for this miner.

How do people get more than 1 mhash? What kind of rig are you guys using.

I'm getting 954KH/s out of a single MSI 7970 GPU at a mind boggling 47 degrees C  using a highly tweaked build of Reaper on Ubuntu (perhaps one of the fastest GPUs on the net).
yeah right  Roll Eyes

Can i get a screenshot?

Already have found 6 blocks of earthcoin since cranking it up a few minutes ago...  Reaper, for those that can get it to work against scrypt runs circles around cgminer all day long Cool

If someone is interested in a binary/build assistance, PM me.

Can you please post HOWTO and everyone had 7970 can use it.

Someone have to ask them for it.

This doesn't seem possible.

How is it you are the only one on the planet who can get those speeds and that temp with air cooling?

Also pulling 200+ more kh/s out of a 7970 than anyone else.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

There are some others that I know but not many. Keep in mind that Reaper is a beast to get working at this level (which is why it isnt wide spread).  As for me and those who have it working, it is in our best interest especially with pool mining to be highly more efficient than the competition.  BTW, the fact that I have a basement especially in the winter gives me even more of an advantage. Cool

Can you post your .conf sample for 7970?
Thank you

What is the fastest single card?

dont forget 7990 uses alot of power and will get very hot.

like buy and sell but someone have to send coins out first.
