P2pool @~100MH/s, block ETA 5 mins.
Nodes in ascending local power order:
http://p2pool.dtdns.net:9904 ~1.5MH/s
http://p2pool.gotgeeks.com:9904 ~9MH/s
http://solidpool.org:9904 ~42MH/s
http://rav3n.dtdns.net:9904 ~53MH/s
It would be nice to have over 3 nodes that have up to 20% of pool power to make node efficiency closer one to another.
Nodes on lower power have smaller "reporting" shares diff, pool share diff is now 0.45
DO NOT mine on CPU or Nvidia there. Power less than 300kh/s is useless for P2pool. It will take hours to get share and payout.

I started to mine the second the wallet came online with 2.2mh , found 5 blocks between 1:19 and 1:35AM then i swapped to OGC launch.
Boot my wallet today and 4 blocks have vanished and only 1 got confirmed ?
Were the other 4 orphans or ?

Signatures are so 2014.

If you are still getting payout you should cointinue ofc Smiley
I meant some 5kh cpu and 70kh gpu blipping on graphs from time to time.
If your payout graph is still solid or it is goin to 0 only for moment it is ok Smiley But if it mostly on 0 and blipping up form time to time - swap pls.

Yes. It is beauty of solo mining. Blocks doing "poof!".

There were some issues with the launch, so that's not too surprising. Most of us lost out on quite a few blocks.

How do people get more than 1 mhash? What kind of rig are you guys using.

All it would take is a dual-GPU system with a couple of AMD GPUs. A couple of 7950's or higher could pull 1MH/s or higher. Or a single 7990 or possibly an overclocked 290x.

You also don't need to use SLi/Crossfire for mining, so you can get away with mixing up the cards (for instance a 7870 and a 7970). In fact it's probably better to not use it and run them separately.

I'm tempted to buy a 280x when I eventually make enough money out of all of this.. except there's a stock shortage on AMD cards at the moment and even a 280x would only give me a 2.5x increase from my 670 or so (to around 800KH/s or so), which still isn't that useful outside of the first day or two of a new coin's launch.

I guess I could hit around 1MH/s with the two cards, assuming you can mix and match AMD/Nvidia cards for mining (I assume so). But eh..

7970 have up to 700-750Kh
I have 7970+7870xt and making ~1MH/s on low clocks.

In terms of raw mining performance, probably the 7990 (though it's actually a dual-GPU card, and I wouldn't want a dual-GPU card for anything but mining, microstuttering can be a bitch in games for example). I think the 290x is the next one down, but it's also pretty expensive.

The 280x is the best value for money card for mining at the moment from what I've heard. It's up in the ~700KH/s range while being significantly cheaper than the 290x.

280x will give probably the best hash for the money on purchase (unless you can find a good deal on 7990's).  But bear in mind power usage.  2x 280x will consume more power than a single 7990.  Depends on how much somebody wants to outlay in one go, as a 7990 can run double the cost of a 280x.

The 7990 when running at 1300 KH + get hot.  Very hot.  No way on earth they could be inside a case mining at 1300+ without water cooling.  Which of course is extra expense.  I have two, which Ive had to undervolt slightly, sat in open air, with external large fan blowing ambient air of about 12 C (53 fahrenheit) at them, and they still sit at 75 C.  in a case without water cooling and they wil reach 100 in minutes.  So unless you plan on having them in open air (and they are very loud), then 7990 may not be for you and 2 x 280x would be better.
