-snip-
I'm talking about, if 3 computers are mining for a coin, it will make more profit than 1.

I'm not talking about node here.

But you are the only one in this thread talking about mining.

I have 3 computers on my home network that my family uses. I run the Bitcoin core program on my computer only as I want to support the Bitcoin network. Is there an advantage for the Bitcoin network for me to run the bitcoin core program on all 3 computers on my home network or is just one program running per internet connection sufficient? I'm a big believer in Bitcoin and if there is an advantage to the network for me to have 3 nodes in my house, I will. Thanks.

Yes, I know.

I meant to point out other possible advantages he can do with the power of his 3 PCs, that's it Smiley
283  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, please help! on: June 14, 2014, 07:17:18 PM
You could also PM Staff and Global Mod., I'm sure they would give you a hand for this.

No, we can't help.

Sorry. I thought you can.

Thanks for pointing out.

OP, then try contacting Theymos.
284  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Getting Started on: June 14, 2014, 07:13:30 PM
I can't say it's a good or bad start until I test, try and calculate the profit from all it's factors.

It's all about math brother, go and try, you will not lose in trying.
285  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The more the merrier? on: June 14, 2014, 07:11:40 PM
Only you will be mining more coins, which is making more profit.

Huh

Yeah, how may I help you ?

A nod is not mining any coins. A node is just a bitcoin wallet that has a full copy of the blockchain.

The smiley is basically say: "WTF is he/she even talking about?"

I'm talking about, if 3 computers are mining for a coin, it will make more profit than 1.

I'm not talking about node here.

It may be interested after PayPal have going into surveys and questionnaires about bitcoins.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people supposed to take huge risks for BTC? on: June 14, 2014, 07:07:12 PM
It differs from person to person, and how they are able to read the market, and what previous exp. they had with bitcoin.

There is always risk in business, even in our normal, it's only each one of us who decides it's %.
288  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: what promotion should we select for our new security crypto related app? on: June 14, 2014, 06:46:14 PM
If you are confident about your product.

You could hold up a "challenge" for cracking our app which contains wallet which contains 1 BTC coin for example, and the 1st who is going to crack it, the 1 BTC is all him.

You made advertisement out of nothing, even here, people will be dying to solve it.

You may increase the BTC to 2 for example, to make it viral in adv.

290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: University Accepts Bitcoin on: June 14, 2014, 06:38:40 PM
If I were you, I would go there.

Only if, you are satisfied with it and you will have proper learning exp. in it.
291  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to Prevent a 51% attack: Multiple PoW algorithms + PoS ??????? on: June 14, 2014, 06:35:19 PM
By this, you will mess with the the concept of how bitcoin miners are operating.

Plus, many thread here are saying there is no much risk involved at that DS attack.

What if I created a account with my name on blockchain and there I've my only one BTC address, still it will be my main one.

You can do this, but you should make a new address for every time you get some coins. Its not like you have to.

May I know why ?

Off-topic :- Your PD signature is messed somehow, the two blue lines are taller than the in-between sentence.
293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here. How do I know wallets are safe to download? on: June 14, 2014, 06:20:26 PM
Better to go for a paper wallet, if you want to be safe, and keep it offline

Goto bitaddress.org and save the page as a html file on your hard drive, then disconnect from the internet and create a few paper wallets.

Deposit your coins into them. It's a start. There are other threads dealing with security, just browse the forrum.  Wink

+1

This is a good solution too, the main purpose of paper wallets to be secret.

So now, you have online and offline option.
294  Other / Meta / Re: How to gain that green trust score ? on: June 14, 2014, 06:17:20 PM
You need to get feedback from someone who is on the default trust list, so start by doing trades and you'll probably get some eventually.

Thank you for pointing out.

TBH, they are sexy and makes you super trusted, not a must for sure.

297  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question. Are paper wallets reloadable? on: June 14, 2014, 06:11:17 PM
That's true, but my friend is asking me, "Can they be used like a debit card, or maybe my Starbucks card that I can add more money to when it gets low?"

Since they are normal bitcoin address, then it reloadable.

I can't find why it can't be used like this at any place which accept BTC.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just want to say (btc value "history") on: June 14, 2014, 06:03:42 PM
Just wanted to note, in two years as we are here, bitcoin had an apreciattion of 10000%
Source bitcoinity, change: +9999.75%

Early adapters of almost every "net" investment almost always make out very well. That is assuming of course that the venture is successful.

And till, it will be more and more successful, we are just at the beginning, there is a time will come when all people joining the party, will not find a way in.
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here. How do I know wallets are safe to download? on: June 14, 2014, 05:59:26 PM
The best wallet to download is the bitcoins official wallet which is bitcoin core.

You can trust it while you are blind, you can download it from the link that's below "Total time logged" counter.

I can't find how is this valid ?

It's, but only in creating super duper weapons to kill innocents.

What is the joy of wars ? To see Medal of Honor or Red Alert live on TV ?
