283  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Justcoin · Secure Bitcoin Exchange from Norway (BTC/EUR) on: October 22, 2013, 05:16:51 PM
Your exchange looks promising. I might sell a few coins there.

I can't find any information about the legal part. Do you have an ok from the Norwegian state? Or just how likly is it that the your gorvernment gets pissed and freezes my coins?
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Swiss to vote on 2,500 franc basic income for every adult on: October 17, 2013, 09:55:21 AM
So either you profide the basic income even to people who reside there even if they are not citizens, or they'll just leave.

Mh yes probably it should be also available with the people having a "C" residence permit (need a job for this).

But I think there would be a strong Pull-effect on immigrants, no matter if they can get the basic income (C residence permit) or not.
It has the same effect like now for all the Africans thinking they can get money / work in Europe, no matter if it's true or not, they hear it everywhere and they believe it.
285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Swiss to vote on 2,500 franc basic income for every adult on: October 17, 2013, 08:13:27 AM
The actual law we can vote on doesn't have any numbers included. 2'500 is just a suggestion.

There are two parties who like this idea:
The socialists: They want the basic income additional to all the other social insurance we have so far. (mostly people who never really worked or work for the government)
The liberals (European version): They want to cancel all the social insurances and save the billions it's bureaucracy costs and just give everyone 2.5k.

I'd like the second one because of the following reasons:
If people don't want to work they never will with the system we have today. There are so many insurances you can get money from. So we better stop trying to force them and just give them the 2.5k (or lower). We could reduce the state massively (also: less people working for the government -> less people who vote for higher taxes to get a higher income...).

Also a survey showed that 90% of the people said they would still work, but in the same time most people believed that most other people would stop working^^

Of course we'd have to limit this basic income to Swiss people only and make it even harder (or IMO better impossible) to get a Swiss passport, otherwise we'll have an even bigger amount of immigrants, which we just can't handle (right now already >30% of the people living in Switzerland are immigrants).
286  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: October 17, 2013, 07:26:31 AM
what is your roi and when are you planning to deliver?

I don't think I will get ROI when I look at the difficulty increase we had the last two months.
See my stats at http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/efefa0442b
I've not added shipping costs (local pickup), low fee (1%) and mining date on 1. December (they start shipping on 16.).

If you change to the power safe mode later in February or so you may get a little better result.

So I wont be mining for the profit but to support Bitcoin (the idea) and to secure the network by decentralizing it Grin..

289  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Protocol Documentation? on: October 14, 2013, 01:08:32 PM
I've asked for that too a month ago: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/284

I guess as long as Electrum is in active development (no 1.x release) we won't see any doc since, at least in theory, everything could change.
But you can uncomment
Code:
print_error( "<--",c )
on Line 99 and
Code:
print "-->",request
on line 395 to print the JSON request while running the Electrum client.

What language / technologie do you use for your client?
290  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: October 07, 2013, 05:47:36 PM
we answered individually with the queue position and the estimated delivery time.

Hi
It's now 28 days since your preorder started. I'm still processing and I've paid and ordered within 30 minutes when sales started. Estimated delivery time should be 0, since I chose local pickup.

Or is everyone, that ordered an Avalon and now chose to order a CoinCraft instead of refund, automatically in front of the people which ordered for the first time?

I'm thinking about buying an upgrade with the discount., but I wont if I don't know my position in the queue.

However, I'll knock on your door the first day they getting shipped anyway.

Regards

292  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Swiss national councillor to ban Bitcoins on: September 30, 2013, 08:32:51 AM
The postulat is now translated to German:
http://www.parlament.ch/d/suche/seiten/geschaefte.aspx?gesch_id=20133687

Like others already pointed out they want the Executive to make a report about the risks of Bitcoin (no word about chances..), especially focused on the usage of Bitcoins for money laundering and financing criminal activities. It also calls Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme.

So it's far away from banning yet. AFAIK the parliament has first to accept this postulat,  then Mister Schwaab will probably try to ban Bitcoin with a law. If he can convince the parliament to ban Bitcoin we still have the opportunity to make a referendum. All this will take more than a year.

Can somebody translate the french text?
Parce je ne parle pas de français, like most peopel here I guess
294  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Swiss national councillor to ban Bitcoins on: September 19, 2013, 06:58:16 AM
Hi,
Thanks for the info.
Please next time inform us (people living in Switzerland) also in our local community on Google+: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/113055238568417913658

I'm for sure willing to collect signatures for a referendum, if it is needed.
Maybe Jon Matonis or some other good talkers who are well known in the Bitcoin community is willing to visit us again and speak in front of the parliamentarians this time..

Regards

Ok, so you are still working on clearing the payment? because I paid like 10-20 minutes after I've ordered.

It says: Queue:Preorder Queue
Order status: processing.
My order number is 1097.
296  Economy / Services / Re: [SEARCHING FOR PARTNERS]BitcoinFlights - Flight tickets for Bitcoin community! on: September 10, 2013, 06:43:06 PM
Why do you need Whois-Protection for your website? (http://whois.de/bitcoinflights.net)

Hiding your identity doesn't make me trust.
I guess you use stolen credit card data to buy the tickets?
297  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: September 10, 2013, 02:57:29 PM
Did you start counting from 1090  or 1000 in the order queue?
Because I haven't found anyone that is below 1090.
I've ordered (and paid) withing 10-15 minutes and I'm in position 1097. I can't believe there are more than 1000 people that ordered that fast, since the specs & price weren't clear before one could order..

Anyway, I'll knock on your door in Ticino on the 16th December to get mine. Be prepared  Tongue
298  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Businesses and Developers, Let's Get Started! on: September 10, 2013, 08:49:53 AM
Hi

I've started a small Qt/C++ Bitcoin Utilit library (https://github.com/lclc/QBitcoinUtil).
Might be useful for others too, who want to create for example Mobile or Desktop (KDE) widgets which shows the current BTC/$€£ price, converting tools etc.

I'm also working on a small app / widget which lists the balance of your wallets (or others), for watching your overall Bitcoin wealth Wink
