283  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CPU Mining on: January 14, 2014, 04:34:32 PM
If it's scrypt, it's actually kinda decent. But if it's Bitcoin, it's really not worth. I mined Bitcoin with 90 MH/s earlier and wasn't even close reaching the cashout limit after mining several weeks.
You should check out Primecoin or Quarks, which can only be mined with CPU and are therefore more profitable.

You now earn 20% from your referrals instead of 10%!

An easy way to mine alt coins and convert to BTC is by using http://www.middlecoin.com/ with a scrypt miner. It will automatically mine the most scrypt coin and then pay you in Bitcoin once you hit 1 mBTC.
287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: omg why is freebitcoinz captcha so difficult on: January 14, 2014, 02:58:14 PM
http://freebitcoinz.com/

CAN'T EVEN DO IT MYSELF HOW ARE OTHERS GOING TO DO IT???

I guess they use SolveMedia? Then they are mostly to blaim, and only partly FreeBitcoinz. SolveMedia have resently begun using very difficult captchas which is really annoying. I suggest all captcha owners to stop using them (and use something like Are you a human or reCaptcha instead) until they make their captchas easier. Sometimes I have to spend several minutes for just one captcha.

Hello and welcome! I suggest you read the newbie readme and also this Bitcoin guide if you want to learn more about BTC.

Thanks bro, ¿u are the founder of primedice.com?

No, but they pay people for having their link in their signature. Once you have 50 activity (takes 1 post/day for 50 days) you can also do it, if you want. The link to the official thread explaining it can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291387.0
There are also some other sites doing the same thing, but I cannot guarantee if they will actually pay you. I can, however, confirm that PrimeDice will pay you (or they have in the past at least Cheesy).
294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting free bitcoins is still easy. Faucets are a waste of time. on: January 13, 2014, 11:11:36 PM
There are several faucets where you yourself choose when to cashout though, like Hotswap, MMOclub, DailyFreeBitcoin, FreeBitco.in, all the Microwallet faucets if you register an account at Microwallet and many more.
And some PTC sites, like Bitvisitor, also pays out dust.

Sorry for the ? dumb question, but I'm new here  Roll Eyes What exactly is a "faucet"? I'm mining Vertcoin and I keep seeing the official faucet page but have no idea what it means?!?

It is a website that pays you small amounts of cryptocoins, either to promote a coin or earn money from ad revenue.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is so many coins which one is best to mine and keep on: January 13, 2014, 11:06:33 PM
I'd suggest mining Litecoin or Bitcoin with the Middlecoin pool. They are the largest cryptocurrencies and involves the least risk. However, if you want to risk more and maybe gain more, you can mine other coins.
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Absolutely new to bitcoins on: January 13, 2014, 11:03:57 PM
You have to mine 0.01 BTC to pay out from Slush's pool and send it to your Multibit wallet. This will take ages to reach with a normal computer, because there is new hardware made just to mine and it's much more efficient, called ASIC miners.
However, there are other coins, for example those using the hashing algorithm "scrypt" (Bitcoin uses "sha256"). There are no ASIC miners for scrypt, making it much more profitable to mine with standard gear.
So I suggest you download GUIminer scrypt (Google it, it should be the same website as from where you downloaded normal GUIminer) and instead start mining the cryptocurrency Litecoin (one pool where you can do this that I use is Coinotron). Litecoin is the second largest cryptocurrency and has a lot of support. One LTC is worth about 0.03 BTC currently.

However, I'd suggest you stay away from other coins than BTC and LTC in the beginnining since they are a lot more speculative.

Another way you can do if you still want to receive Bitcoin is to use the mining pool Middlecoin (still with GUIminer Scrypt). It will mine the most profitable scrypt coin and then automatically sell it and pay you in Bitcoins once you get 0.001 BTC.

299  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] Free-Btc.net.tf - Faucet, earning bitcoins and guide to BTC on: January 13, 2014, 09:30:33 PM

The website consists of three major parts: The faucet, other ways of earning bitcoins and a guide to help newcomers that might stumble upon the site.
If you think it's too much advertisements on the website, click here to disable all ads except those on the faucet page.

The faucet
Address: http://free-btc.net.tf/#!/faucet
Description:
FreeBTC's faucet is powered by Microwallet and will pay out once the user reaches 50 µBTC. The faucet gives money each hour after filling a reCaptcha.
Each time a user requests money, four random numbers are generated. These numbers then decide how much will be paid. If all of the numbers are different, the lowest payment (25 satoshis) will be added to the account. This happens about 50% of the time. If two numbers (or two pairs of numbers) are similar, the second lowest payment (50 satoshis) will be added to the account. This happens about 45% of the time. After this, the rare jackpots might appear. If all of the four numbers are the same, then 25 µBTC will be added to the account.
But the site says I can earn 100 µBTC/hour? Yes, you can. What I talked above is just the normal prizes. There are several secret combinations of numbers paying out a lot more than normal. One of them even gives 10 000 satoshis, or 100 µBTC.
But I want to earn more! Except the other sites that are listed on the website, you can also get 20% of your referral's clicks.
Tl;dr: ~50 satoshis/hour, 20% from referrals

Other ways to earn free BTC
Address: http://free-btc.net.tf/#!/sites & http://free-btc.net.tf/#!/other_sites
Description:
Here you can find other sites that will also pay you for doing different things. I listed faucets, PTC websites, URL shorteners, advertisement providers and sites paying you if you complete offers/watches videos.
Almost all of the faucets and some of the PTC sites also come with a timer, so that you know when it's time to collect more bitcoins (or litecoins, because there are Litecoin faucets to be found at that website).
Many of the faucets also pay you more if you manage to get referrals or give you a % of your referral's incomes.
Tl;dr: More faucets/free BTC

Bitcoin guide
Address: http://free-btc.net.tf/#!/whats_btc
Description:
This page goes through the basics of Bitcoin, altcoins and the different ways to acquire them. Here you can find information about how to install a wallet, see what common terms means or see different sites related with Bitcoin.
Although this is mainly targeted towards newcomers stumbling upon the site and wondering what Bitcoin is, you can also send this link to your friends (http://free-btc.net.tf/?noads/#!/whats_btc for the ad-less version) if you do not wish to explain the basics of Bitcoin yourself.
Tl;dr: Basic guide to BTC/altcoins

If you have any suggestions, you can post it here, write it in the PM or e-mail me (you can find my e-mail on the website, protected by a reCaptcha).
