281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see 20k+ again? on: January 20, 2018, 11:56:28 AM
You can't say it will never reach £20k plus.  But it's not looking like it's going to happen any time soon.  I must say I thought yesterday we were in for another drop but it didn't happen and then today again it's up a bit.  But it could go either way now.  In another 12 or so hours we might have an better idea in what direction it's moving.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin rising on: January 19, 2018, 09:34:10 PM
It's neither rising nor falling from what I can see but holding steady.  I thought earlier tonight we might be in for another drop but it's still holding steady.  If it starts dropping to 11000k then it will further I think.  I certainly can't see any boom this next month or so.  The most people can hope for is no big drop.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bigger dip to come? on: January 19, 2018, 05:50:46 PM
I noticed the price drop in the last hour or so.  I think if it drops below 11k again then there might be a bigger dip.  If it holds above that then probably not.
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else think "long term" hodlers are idiots? on: January 19, 2018, 05:27:33 PM
I think you need to sell some of your Bitcoin if the price goes up substantially.  Because if you wait long enough you take the chance it might crash.   No point in hoarding Bitcoin if you're sitting on a profit.  Keep some and sell some.  And if the price goes down then buy back at a lower price.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Whats to stop more than 21m Bitcoin being mined on: January 19, 2018, 05:05:42 PM
If somebody decides they will allow more than 21m Bitcoin to be mined who will say they can't do this or who would stop them.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: January 19, 2018, 01:22:58 PM
It's asset but only if used to buy something or exchanged for cash.  The same as something is only an asset if somebody else wants it.  If nobody wants it isn't an asset.   It's not a currency as it isn't widely accepted enough.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sky rocket comeback on: January 19, 2018, 11:15:47 AM
The only reason Bitcoin will sky rocket is if people pay lots of money in.  So it depends on money going in if the price is to go up.  And that is  people's individual decision.  But they need to make sure they're not the ones who will be selling for less than they paid.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin decline has ended? on: January 19, 2018, 11:02:41 AM
If Bitcoin wants to be accepted as a currency it's got to be accepted in more places.  And it really needs to be stable.  Nobody wants to have 11k and wake up tomorrow and have 8k saved.   It would be nice if it was 15K but no guarantees.    Some people can afford to take a chance with their savings but a lot of people can't.
289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC fall again within a few days? on: January 19, 2018, 12:57:42 AM
It all depends on the people who are buying/selling Bitcoin.  If lots of people buy then the price will go up.  If nobody buys and people sell then the price will go down.  It's the people who are influencing Bitcoin not Bitcoin influencing the people.  If that makes sense.
290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is buy bitcoin valuable on: January 19, 2018, 12:40:55 AM
No Bitcoin isn't valuable.  People believe it's valuable because others are willing to pay a good price for it.  And that's only because they think other people will pay even more.  So it's really valuable only because it's in people's mind that it is.  It has no value in itself.  It can't be used to purchase very much.  The minute people stop believing in it the price will crash.  But up till now people believe in it so the price holds.  For now.
291  Economy / Speculation / Re: The falling can't be real on: January 19, 2018, 12:04:23 AM
I'd say they want the price to go up slightly so people think Bitcoin is on the up and then buy it.  It's hard to say if this recovery is temporary and it will fall again.  I thought it would fall to around £6k sterling but it didn't.  .
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news The market began to rise and return !!! on: January 18, 2018, 11:14:37 PM
I don't think this very small increase means a big recovery.  It might mean that it won't crash but nothing is certain.  It doesn't mean that everything now is rosy and Bitcoin will be 50K any time soon.  It won't be.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Headed to $40,000? on: January 18, 2018, 06:43:53 PM
No.  But if people are crazy enough to throw enough money at it then maybe.  But there will be a lot of losers.  If Bitcoin is £40k who is putting the money in.  It won't be me.
294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC fall again within a few days? on: January 18, 2018, 05:56:49 PM
I think this is anybody's guess.  I thought it would fall quite a bit further than it did before it began to recover.  The recovery might be a short term thing or it might not be.  But I'd be very  surprised if there was any kind of boom in the next month or so.It will probably hover around £8-9k sterling for a while.  Unless it crashes again.  If it does hold on to your seats.
295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold or Sell on: January 18, 2018, 05:42:45 PM
Take your profit some time.  If you don't you won't ever have a profit.  If you never sell then you won't get a profit.  If they get to £9.5K sterling then I'd sell some.   If you want a small gamble then maybe buy a small amount as they could go up a bit more.  Don't spend loads though.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bigger dip to come? on: January 18, 2018, 05:09:35 PM
There could be a bigger dip if people aren't convinced the price will go up.  If they think the price will go up then they will buy at this price.  If they don't then they won't.  I don't think I'd buy in very much now.  Maybe a tiny amount to see what happens.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: January 18, 2018, 04:27:15 PM
Because lots of people need to pile in with their money.  So other people can take the profits.  If they don't then there won't be profits.
