Fulham are said to be after Juventus striker Moise Kean now. He has just been made a permanent player for Juventus by paying 30 million euros though. Hence I don't know how keen Juventus would be on this. It can actually be seen as an opportunity to sign Lukaku in his place as well. They have been thinking of bringing Lukaku for a while in the end. But would they like to invest into future with Kean or bring an experienced striker like Lukaku instead? They should answer this question first before taking action.

Kean's contract is a 2-year one though. I wonder if they can even have a long-term deal with him later on in case of keeping him.

Very much possible. With Mitrovic moving to Saudi club Al-Ahli the void left by his departure is very huge. They need a massive signing which can put them 18-20 goals as a striker for them and I think Kean is a good piece for that task but I highly doubt Juventus will allow it unless Fulham make a huge bid. Juventus themselves don't have density when it comes to talking about strikers so they will try to get most out of the sale if Fulham are really after the player.

GW 2 was pure FPL, Saka not on penalties anymore was something not many predicted but it worked really well for some, like our GW2 winner Cryptofrka.
Congrats, that will be 1 mBTC free bet paid next Monday.

If some of you are still confused why he won the GW, wait until tomorrow when official page calculates all the points and makes transfers. Odegaard has 3 bonus points, Henry is coming from the bench and White has 1 bonus point. This was perfect Monday for his team Smiley Total of 71 points.

Well done cryptofrka, I thought I had it but he really made it in the end with huge points. Anyway seems like I am at top but I am sure you guys will surpass me in the end as just like cryptofrka, I am also not that good Wink.

Avirunes was so close, if only he switched the keepers he would have won. 10 pointers from Areola on bench will hurt a lot.

Yeah have been messing with the goalkeeper since the first gameweek. Same thing happened as I had Ramsdale in first team and Onana on bench and Onana went on to score 9 points while Ramsdale scored 2. I also switched to Turner this gameweek at last point.. not sure what snapped in me at last point.

That's too soon to say if Newcastle's performance in this season is better than last season's or if they are not improved at all, we know Newcastle got amazing results in the last weeks of the previous season most of the teams in their premier league were is the training camp and they are in the training form, also many players get injured because of not being ready for the gams and that's normal when we see the performance of Newcastle is still unstable in the game, also we can't forget that they were playing against a strong team like Manchester City.
Newcastle effort against Manchester city was lacklustre despite a good victory against Aston Villa. Choosing a defensive strategy prevented them from challenging City superiority on the pitch. The difference in talent between the two teams was clear and Newcastle had to drastically step up their performance to compete on City level. The team hopes could be hampered by Joelinton injury which exacerbates their problems. Newcastle was frustrated by Manchester city solid defensive line which made it difficult to earn even one point in the game.

City and Newcastle are two big teams with a very good density. Newcastle has really become serious in transfer market and bought some really good players to make their squad dense but they still are very far behind if we compare them with City. Still City had tough time yesterday as they were without De Bruyne and it was really was tough to go against solid Newcastle defense.

City plays possession game so it is very hard to get some good playing chance. I feel Newcastle had to switch their tactic to rather counter-attacking style in order to have good amount of chances in their fixture.

Spurs kept clean sheet against manchester united, 2 nil on the scoresheet. The Lilywhites know ways to handle visitors this new season, it's no shocking news to see the excellent performance from the home team. Manchester united suffered defeats in their second league game, really big trouble for the red devils. Manchester united jeopardize most of their goal scoring chances in the first half. Erik Ten Hag needs to get his players in position if he wants to continue winning games. Tottenham Hotspur performance was brilliant, with amazing performance from the players who showed prowess infront of goals.

Spurs were really good yesterday. They have been caught a few times as their defense needs to work out a bit more to get in position at most of the times but if I review the performance of Spurs then I would say it was really good. I would say Bissouma and Maddison were key pieces in the midfield as they were the ones dictating the possession for Spurs most of the times.

United were decent but they need to work out more and score on those easy chances otherwise they are working hard for nothing. United needs someone to step up and score for the team. They can score against weak teams but since they are a big name in PL they need to score against big sides as well.

Mount once again becomes a trending topic on twitter. That being said that if mount may be a flopp. So many critics were coming toward his performance. Two matches, 0 assist and goals. It's horrible performance as his price is not really worth with what he has been given to the united. So many people keep mocking him now and this is why mount may continue performs so badly. It's very hard time for mount as he needs to perform better as soon as possible.
I do feel what happened with him. He has burden to show good performance as soon as possible. People may still speculate his future.
Hold on, Hojlund haven't play yet, if he's already recovered from his injury, we will see Manchester United win streaks Tongue

That's what most of Manchester United fans saying, so Manchester United lose in this match is really normal. Mount's heart is still blue, that's why his performance is bad, he should forget about Chelsea and adapt with his new club.

Mount should play in left winger position since we already know Bruno will always play in attacking midfielder, his position should be replaced with McTominay.

@Despairo when I started watching the match I realised that Manchester United were playing really sloppy football and it was only a matter of time before Tottenham would score so I wasn’t surprised to see Tottenham win this game.

Furthermore Ten Hag should have played Van De Beek even as a sub he would do a better job then Mount because compare their preseason and you’ll see that Donny was the better player and if Ten Hag doesn’t change something quick he may actually become the first manager of the new season to get the sack.

They had some good chances in the first half. Everyone in United had good chances of scoring in first half but they all sent it wide. And so they were punished in second half quite badly. Not surprised by Spurs win as they were really playing nice football but given standards of United, United really should have done better.

About Mount, he could be really useful if ten Haag plays him in role where Fernandes plays but that will mean Fernandes going back to defensive midfield position. They can try Van de Beek but it seems right now ten Haag prefers Mount over Van de Beek.

Now officially a Fulham sticker, Aleksandar Mitrovic has moved to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal from Fulham with a 3-year contract worth €52 million.
The 28-year-old Serbia striker Aleksandra Mitrovic will join the Al-Hilal attack after the signing of Neymar Jr. on Thursday. Mitrovic will become Al-Hilal's third Premier League signing this summer, following Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves.
Image

Mitrovic, who had a very good goal-scoring record. He scored 111 goals in 205 appearances with Fulham after signing from Newcastle United in 2018.
In the 2021–22 season, he broke the Premier League goalscoring record with 43 goals in 44 games. He scored 14 goals in the Premier League last season. He hopes he will keep scoring goals at Al-Hilal.
Source:

At last Fulham let Mitrovic leave but this transfer have left a huge gap in Fulham's squad right now. Someone who scores 20-30 goals for a squad is very important to a team when it's hard for a team to get such kind of player. It will be now a heavy task for Fulham to search for his replacement before this transfer market window ends.

Looking at how easy Brighton has found the net against Wolves, does this suggest Manchester United are not in their best form or its a change of mentality of the small team trying to make a name for themselves against the big boys...it's unbelievable that these guys can get this many goals against Wolves and game isn't over as more could actually come...
Brighton in the last two matches became a goal party with the same score, proving Brighton has improved even with a new coach from last season from his real Potter replacement, there is no change at all, Brighton's performance continues to improve with some players now more prominent than players who are in other big teams.

I am actually amazed with the way De Zerbi has managed Brighton after Potter. He deserves a huge credit behind Brighton exceptional performance since last season. Their signings have been great and also have made some great sales. Their attack, midfield and defence - everything has some good and reliable players. Unless they face some tough opponents like Arsenal, City, United , I don't expect them to lose easily.

Right now even they can give United a tough time.

Quote
Brighton is almost the same as Newcastle looks to continue to impress in every game.

Yeah truly, but Brighton haven't made high investment like Newcastle but are performing in the same way as Magpies.

There was a time when Arsenal was heavily criticized for what Chelsea is doing right now. Arsenal have always loved to buy young players for long term purpose. That is what Chelsea is doing right now. They have invested so much in young players and are still actively in the market to sign more young players because they understand the need to have quality players both on the pitch and the ones for substitute like Manchester City. Chelsea have also joined in a move to try to sign Folarin Balogun from Arsenal. I do not think he will accept Chelsea though because he wants playing time and Chelsea cannot give him that.

https://football-talk.co.uk/190359/chelsea-have-real-interest-in-signing-folarin-balogun/

But question is are Chelsea giving them chances as well. Arsenal gave chances from time to time but with Chelsea with the big squad they are having right now, it has become rather difficult for manager to manage as well. Regarding Balogun, I hope Arsenal does find some solution with him and perhaps try to keep him as much as possible but it would really hurt as Arsenal fan to see him move to our rival Chelsea. There is Monaco also interested in Balogun and there is a top Serie A club interested in him as well.

Even though Nottingham Forest lost their first game at the start of the new English Premier League season, but with the huge boost of strength in their squad through the transfer windows, I think Nottingham Forest should be able to perform much better than last season. I guess Nottingham Forest should not face much difficulty beating Sheffield United in front of their home fans today and it could be their first win in this new season.

Should be an easy win for Nottingham. They have some really pacy players like Gibbs-White, Johnson, Awinoyi, Elanga aand they really can give Blades tough times today. They played a great game against Arsenal in first gameweek and I expect Steve Cooper to make some changes today. They have been really active in the market and it's time to turn in to good result.

I expect Awinoyi to be in scoresheet today as he really is a great finisher and dribbler and I feel they should use him often as he is a player Forest can rely on when it comes to goal scoring.

[...]With players like Ronaldo, Benzema, Neymar, Riyad, and more on different teams it's likely to create competition for whom will take the Lead this season and show more skills.
These players have all benefited from good sums of money that I believe nobody got before and it’s the highest deals on their careers, making it hard for them to refuse such offers.

Wellmost of them had no options left but honestly I still will say Saudi league is far from PL or LaLiga in terms of competitiveness. Saudi league wants the spotlight which they are doing by signing some big names but question is can they really come at the level of PL or LaLiga or Bundesliga in future? I hardly think so. Anyway it is good for players to rake in all the big offers and make huge money before they set off for retirement as of now.

Madrid will stick with its stance, when Florentino Perez said he would not buy any more players, it meant that PSG really could not have any other choice but to increase Mbappe price for any club that was willing. But in reality, I'm quite looking for pressure or some kind of special request from the French to put pressure on PSG to treat Mbappe well. As the most valuable player in the French national team, they don't want Mbappe to feel like he is being dictated to. Because the path will be quite troublesome.

Real Madrid had made a bid couple of years ago for Mbappe but PSG had no intention of selling Mbappe then and then called out Real Madrid "disrespectful" so PSG- Madrid relation is a bit sour I feel. Perez saying they wouldn't buy anymore players is a year after then and they said it because they bought Camavinga and Tchouameni that window. Mbappe wants Madrid and PSG even if they accept an offer from a club will get denied by Mbappe unless it is Madrid and Madrid doesn't wants to bid as they know they will get Mbappe for free in an year. It is a pickle and unless anything changes Mbappe is going for free.

I think any kind of special request to PSG wouldn't change anything as they are seeking to make something out of Mbappe's sale. Mbappe has been adamant also to not to sign contract extension. So I think this hardly changes anything. Still there could be some interesting developments in an year.

According to news from Spain, Mbappè will stay in Paris this year but he will leave for free next year.

So atlast PSG were the one to bend down. Well it was just as I expected, as PSG were the ones who made this situation fall into this mess. At least now with understanding they can have their main man play for the final season. PSG still have chance if they get an offer from *Madrid* in winter transfer window but that seems unlikely unless Madrid has the change of heart by the otherwise free next year seems to be likely outcome.

You are talking about Yassine Bounou, right? I think it is a good decision by him. He’s already 32 years old. I am going to the Saudi league is definitely a good choice. He should improve the situation of his team. I also agree that his leadership was quite a good way to Morocco in recent times. Consequently, he can likely leverage these qualities to achieve substantial success in his club career within the Saudi league.

Yeah it is good for an old player as he can play at top form there and can have a very good package. But for someone with potential, I don't think it's a good choice as he can obviously develop his skill in much more competitive leagues like PL, LaLiga etc.

I don’t think Liverpool should expect too much from Mohamed Salah. He is getting quite old at this point. I know that he is only 31 years old. But I already think that his age is starting to have an affect on his performance. Liverpool should have thought about it seriously.

I think they are relying heavily on Salah at the moment. Mane, Firmino both have left and Salah is the regular player on left wing now. He is the most experienced and a goalscorer on whom Liverpool is relying this season also. I think despite being 31 he is still performing very good. Last match he had some good shots and made an assist to the only goal as well.

After that massive loss to Leipzig, I am very much weary on when to gamble my money on Bayern Munich because they were completely disappointing even with the likes of Harry Kane coming to the squad so I don't think I will for now actually put my cash on them to do well because that team needs working on so even their game against werder Bremen will be a one of many doubt for me although it's a personal opinion.

Bayern fans would be trying to forget the game against RB Leipzig but I think Werder Bremen are an easy opponent as compared to RB Leipzig. I am sure Kane would start this one and would open his account for Bayern today. Nothing is for sure but I really find Bremen an easy target and Bayern should be able to dominate this one.

Tuchel will also be looking to get his team on track after Supercup final loss.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 17, 2023, 02:57:14 PM
De Bruyne is a better team player compared to Foden. He is thinking of his teammates to score more. I can say that there is a great cooperation between De Bruyne and Haaland in most of their matches. For this reason De Bruyne's absence can affect the productivity of the team in a negative way.

Foden will most probably be the replacement for him now as you also have mentioned. He is a lovely player with great individual skills. Even though he doesn't have the same characteristics with De Bruyne I hope to see him showing a good level of performance in the meantime.

KDB is one of, if not the most important City player. Without him they would not have had the trophy laden years they’ve had under Pep. Foden is a top player but make no mistake about it, they are going to miss KDB. A 4 month absence will hurt City, no doubt about it.

^^100% agreed... Over these months they have lost two most experienced players in their midfield region- De Bruyne and Gundogan. City plays possession game and these two were great in finding players in tight spaces which really give City a winning edge. I am sure with now KDB gone they will really have tough time finding goals.

KDB injury is gonna be a huge head scratcher for Guardiola now.

@rendravolt Liverpool are desperate and I don’t blame them for a reason that I’m yet failing to understand every player they wanted decided to reject them despite their bid being the winning bid. Also I like Poch a lot but how could any player turn down the chance to work under Klopp and agreed they had a bad season but he’s a top class coach and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets the best out of Endo too which will justify why Liverpool bought him.

Do you mean about Caicedo turning down Liverpool? If yes, then actually Caicedo chose Chelsea because it was Chelsea who actually approached Caicedo first. They already had an agreement with the player done before getting things done with Brighton. Liverpool were late in approaching for Caicedo otherwise he would have gone to Liverpool. Had Chelsea not improved the bid, then again Liverpool would have gotten Caicedo.

It's simple as he (Caicedo) gave a word to Chelsea and kept it until the end.

Great Club, great coach, great fanbase and staffs too who have all contributed wholly for the development of the club in the last few months. European win from Man City is a win for every club in the Premier League and English League.
Sevilla did good but they should get another player that takes chances when he has it. El Nesri missed goals yesterday to put Sevilla ahead. One more thing remaining for him to win is to win Fifa World Club Cup to complete it all.
It looks like Manchester city is currently the most popular club for players to win titles. When it comes to money, Saudi Arabia will win, but titles are won in Manchester. Now the Supercup in the penalty shootout, every City player scored, very good. There was only one substitution during the whole game at city, I found that strange. But it was only 90 minutes, not 120.

Manchester City had 10 players on the field for 120 minutes. This means that their fitness is very good. Even then they could not win the match in 120 minutes. I thought City would win in 90 minutes. Because considering the squad, City was much stronger than Sevilla.

Manchester City played well throughout the match. They are having more ball possession, they attack is also several times more than Sevilla's. However, the match was a 1-1 draw. City's attack is considered one of the best in the Premier League. But we haven't seen such a good performance from City. City have to play better if they want to win the Champions League title again.

Thats what happens when you defend real good against a side like City. City plays a possession game but if opponent defenders doesn't gives much space then opponents have real shot at winning against City. With now De Bruyne out with injury their productivity while attack has really taken a hit and City are very much vulnerable right now. To be honest City were lucky to have gotten a win finally against Sevilla but Sevilla really pushed them to the edge.

It is true that high salaries are the key for top European players like Neymar to join the Saudi Pro League with Al Hilal, there are many reasons behind this transfer process. It is reported that Neymar is no longer wanted by Luis Enrique, and is currently at odds with another PSG star Mbappe. But I myself can not confirm the truth of this news, at first glance I think it makes sense.

Neymar presence at Al Hilal further complements and sharpens their attack line, for the adaptation process I think Neymar will not find it difficult, except for being hit by an injury.

Saudi clubs are just trying to make news and get enough attention of the football lovers with money and huge signings. To be honest I feel like they are still far from getting to a level where PL and other league competition is.

As for Neymar, good for him as he is getting a huge contract as his career was becoming more and more uncertain at PSG. PSG is kinda club who ditches player too easily. Also there wasn't a club interested like Al-Hilal with huge proposal. It was obvious where he was gonna go and it was a perfect time I would say for Neymar.

The triumphant look on every Chelsea player now. Captain James and Enzo Fernandez are ready to serve Jackson up front to score goals.
Come on Chelsea. Show how we've played at Stamford Bridge this season.
This further strengthens Moises Caicedo interest.
My bet on Liverpool vs Chelsea's is draw game,  I don't know if it going to be goalless draw or if they're going to record goals against each other but in the end, the match will end in a draw.

I know most speculators will select Liverpool as the winning club because of Chelsea's current situation,  but that notwithstanding even Liverpool also has so many limitations outside players just like Chelsea also so the battle is fair on both clubs.

Given the performance of both teams it should be a draw. Both teams are giving lot of space for each other. Chelsea have been doing that a lot which is why Liverpool have find so much easy opportunities. Chelsea also had some strong chances in the end of the first half and they really are stepping up into the game slowly. Liverpool must need a good to turn the pressure back at them right now.

I would say these kind of games always take a turn in the end which is why I think this one should have a result which will be either Liverpool or Chelsea win.

Breaking news:
Kylian Mbappe has opened the door to extension.
According to French media, Kylian Mbappe has now agreed to extend his contract at PSG. The French international star Kylian Mbappe has changed his mind about a contract extension due to the upcoming departure of Neymar. Kylian Mbappe's contract will expire in 2024, but he has refused to extend it and is trying to move towards Real Madrid. But now he has changed his mind and wants to stay at PSG. On the other hand, PSG has signed 26-year-old Osman Dembele for €50 million from Barcelona. So maybe these were the two reasons that changed Kylian Mbappe's mind about staying in Paris.

I saw that, romano was just giving latest update regarding mbappe.

Mbappe may extend his contract in PSG. It's likely he will not join in real madrid next year. Im happy with this caused by mbappe was thinking which thing that has become the right decision for him. Madrid doesn't wanna buy him and the club doesn't have commitment to recruit him at this moment. PSG really needs him and it seems like that the chance for mbappe to stay in madrid is far higher compared with he leaves from the club. I think that many people are feeling so happy right now. PSG really needs him at this moment to play as central striker.
The sad thing if mbappe just told his intention to extend his contract after madrid signed ramos. If Mbappe plays again, Ramos might have to sit on the bench..

What a U turn from him. Mbappe was just king of drama. I hope he will not make everything become even more complicated again.

I expect another new drama near to next year's summer transfer window again. Good to see PSG now trying to resolve things but I feel Mbappe is very close to exit PSG. Even though talks have been positive now but then again it can go down at any point. In my opinion Mbappe-PSG situation is very "fragile" right now.If anything sets off the mood of any party then it can again break down in a snap.

We can say Mbappe as drama queen but hasn't PSG also had the opportunity to sell him earlier. PSG has been clear that they don't want him to lose him for free then why didn't they took the Madrid's big offer back then? I feel PSG is equally responsible if Mbappe is.

Bayern Munich is not pushing for Kepa too much as far as I know. Because I have also heard that Kepa has expressed a feeling that he wants to play for Real Madrid. So I think they will have a deal in their hands. Of course, Real Madrid can also go for other options. But I don’t think this is going to be a bad idea for Real Madrid if they bring in Kepa. I have heard that Real Madrid is looking to bring him in as a loan transfer. Kepa seems good, but the problem is he’s not going to be able to provide resistance as Thibaut Courtois.

Yeah Bayern weren't in much need so they are out of race now. As for Madrid it is an emergency after Courtois injury and Kepa was the top target for temporary replacement. It seems agreement has been done and Kepa to Madrid is gonna be official soon. He will join Madrid for a season long loan with no buy option included.

Good for Kepa as he will have no competition at Madrid and will play first team until Courtois is back which is gonna take a while.
