Both Chelsea and Liverpool got less than good achievements last season, it's just that Liverpool was able to improve their performance at the end of the season and they managed to get 5th place, while Chelsea still has to struggle with their slump. I think this will be a tough match for Chelsea and Liverpool because they both certainly want to start the season with high expectations. So both Chelsea and Liverpool will definitely insist on getting the victory.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea have tough challenges this season as they both have to fight to stay in the title race and finish in the top three. The opening match has brought together two strong teams and both of them have the desire to get full points in the first match in the English league. But for me a draw is the most likely to happen because usually in the opening match any team will play a little carefully to avoid defeat.

In other matches Tottenham were only able to draw with Brentford, although they took the lead in the 11th minute through Romero. Brentford managed to equalize through Mbeumo's penalty and a few minutes later Wissa added to the advantage, until entering the first half ended Emerson managed to equalize. But unfortunately even though the match was dominated by Tottenham, in the second half no goals were created so the match had to end in a 2-2 draw.

Chelsea vs Liverpool Both teams have good strikers, we will pick Liverpool as the stronger team. Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah will surely score goals if he plays well. I will not say for sure that Liverpool will win the match today because Chelsea are also in good form and they are likely to win. But if both teams can attack well then maybe either team will win the match it is not possible to predict it is very difficult task. However, no matter how many attacks, if the goalkeepers of both teams can give a good save, then I claim that the match is likely to be a draw.

That match was an example of fun and much preparedness of one club against the other. I never knew it could be more than 2 goals to nothing judging by the start of a new season, Aston Villa should have started better than that, but with what they played, I see nothing serious in their feat, even a lesser club than Newcastle would also beat them easily. The perceived weakness of the club is why I will not be rushed to judge Newcastle now, I will reserve this until they've played weak, medium and strong clubs, and that will take more than a month. Besides, I'm surprised to have seen people voting who would win already, it might be too early for that.

The defenders of aston villa were making some mistakes. It forces martinez to go up. I can't deny that if aston villa has been making a lot of mistakes. Newcastle deserves three points as its performance was so amazing. I must admit that if eddie howe was using fully offensive strategy which turn to be a successful strategy to beat aston villa yesterday. Newcastle has so many talented players. Adding tonalli to the club was just making the club to be even perfect. Newcastle will compete for the top 4 this season. NU at least made good progress by winning the first game.
The next week gonna be a big match between newcastle vs manchester city. The capability of newcastle gonna be tested once it's gonna facing the best club in the world. What a perfect result from newcastle.
Aston villa like does nothing after the second goal. Tonalli was also initiating almost all of goals.

Liverpool were once the best team. A team like Manchester City could not beat Liverpool. But currently the condition of the team is not very good. The new season has started and the position of the team can be understood by watching a few matches.

Everyone will see how Liverpool's first game of the season will be at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea which is just around the corner today. And I think their match will be very interesting to watch because both of these teams are making changes for the better this season after having performed very poorly in the previous season. They signed Dominik Szoboszlai from Leipzig and Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton. It will be a tough match. But I don't think Liverpool will lose today.

Both clubs are really in transition after the departure of several experienced players, Chelsea have done more this summer. Mauricio Pochettino played down a 3-5-2 formation, placing Sterling and N Jackson up front. Klopp used his favored 4-3-3 formation and was reinforced by Salah, Jota and Diaz in attack.

What's interesting about this party is that the two clubs, both Liverpool and Chelsea, have had changes in the captain's position. R James replaced Azpi and Van Dijk replaced Henderson. It looks like this match will end in a draw, but we'll see.

He was always helping totenham to leave from that kind of problem. He was always making surprises at the crucial moment. Ange shall try to find someone who gonna be suitable to be used as a candidate to replace kane. Richarlison was a bad for a striker.
This guy rarely contributing a lot to the club. Draw is better rather than lose caused by totenham can still get at least 1 point from this match.

The upcoming match gonna be hardest match to predict. Chelsea and liverpool gonna start soon. I hope totenham will be doing better by getting a new striker. Lukaku seems to become the best option this time. Totenham loses its soul once kane left from the club.

Seriously, Liverpool vs. Chelsea will be a difficult game to predict. I am also expecting a draw in the match, but I won’t be surprised if Chelsea end up winning the match. If the match does not end in a draw, then any club that wins is going to have a slight goal difference between them.

I don't think there is anything to predict hear, its plain Liverpool will not lose against Chelsea, I don't see Chelsea doing anything different from last season, and seen a lot of predictions and majority is Liverpool winning, I don't see how someone will be going for a straight win for Chelsea, I don't  see this game has something we can argue about, and now the game have started already. And the highest  that can happen is the game will end draw.

The home factor might make Chelsea a little more confident. But from the appearance in the EPL the rest of last season, Liverpool have improved more.  Pochetino's challenge if he manages to win maybe they will have a better move for the next game. Pochetino and Klopp had almost the same fate last season, this season they have to work hard if they want to compete with Man City. They must seize the moment of transfer to improve club strength.

Yeah home factor might help Chelsea but Liverpools experience  is also another thing to consider,  with this match we can actually decide if Chelsea have improved or not or they will still narrowly escape relegation like last season,  and with the new improvement in Chelsea, am seriously waiting to disturb Chelsea fans since they are always full of there self, and the match have started, my spirit is certain that Liverpool  will win, they are not here for playing, and what C. Chukwuemeka did actually deserves red card, the refree was just considerate. They have a record of yellow  card already.

I had a defense concern for Chelsea, but with the formation that has been initiated so far, it is unlikely that the defense weakness would be exposed, because they are already doing well by leading with a goal against Liverpool who had Salah goal cancelled.

This is just preliminary matches, but we would see the potential of both teams to know which has improved since last season.
I would place my bet on Liverpool to either equalize or win the match.

Tottenham I must say played well in this game as they were playing against strong opponents today,Brentford when playing at home is a great team which usually deliver good results.Richarlison is also a great scorer and I think he is as good as Kane in the scoring goals comparison.That penalty made the game more open and after that Brentford even turned the game around and were most probably closer to winning this game.I am sure Tottenham will improve in the coming weeks but I see very difficult for them to achieve the top 4 spots during this season.

It's gonna be a very hard for totenham. In my understand if totenham has always become centre of club in building an attack. Totenham loses one of its best all time striker. Kane made a lot of goals last season. Totenham needs to learn to play better without kane. Richarlison is not able being relied by totenham as his performance was always average. He never shows outstanding performance. Totenham was facing brentford which is not as strong as another club like brighton or even newcastle.
Son becomes the only one who will help totenham a lot this season. As far as i know if there was a rumor if totenham has been listing a new striker as its target before the transfer season gonna end.

True. It will be so hard as most of the goals from totenham made by him. Totenham loses someone who can also be called as a goal machine for the club. He is capable enough to compete with haaland despite the fact his age was older than haaland.

Given the performance of both teams it should be a draw. Both teams are giving lot of space for each other. Chelsea have been doing that a lot which is why Liverpool have find so much easy opportunities. Chelsea also had some strong chances in the end of the first half and they really are stepping up into the game slowly. Liverpool must need a good to turn the pressure back at them right now.

I would say these kind of games always take a turn in the end which is why I think this one should have a result which will be either Liverpool or Chelsea win.

With 65% possession of the ball, Chelsea dominated the game and they are seen to have very high motivation to win. I think it's because they are playing at home, so they can play confidently. Even though Liverpool faced quite high pressure from Chelsea, but they still had a very promising counterattack which if Chelsea are off guard it could be a nightmare for Chelsea.

neither team created many chances. Chelsea did control the ball better. but they don't have many options for a good final finish. half time score 1-1, if survive until the end you will win your bet.
but it is possible that Liverpool will innovate in attack in the second half. of course, they wouldn't want to be kept under pressure. Liverpool will develop their game. they didn't have much possession in the first half, in fact, they only had 34% possession.

Chelsea managed to end the first half with a score of 1-1 even though they were left behind by Luis Diaz. Chelsea managed to equalize through Axel Disasi although they had several other chances before half-time. Chelsea appear to have changed since Pochettino took charge, it is clear that is what all of his supporters are hoping for.

I think Chelsea could have dominated this match well and won it. But I'm sure Liverpool will of course put up a strong resistance, but Chelsea with their motivation will do their best to win.

Despite the first result, Chelsea seems to be in total control of the game but nothing much to say now until the final whistle is blown. Liverpool is playing amateur game with no pass accuracy and easily handle over the ball to the opponent. On the Chelsea side, Conor Gallagher should not be returning in the second half if the couch is observing the game well. This is new season for Chelsea but Raheem sterling is as dumb as before without improvement while chilwel is missing chances that Alonso will never missed. The officiating is not yet that bad but let watch out how the second half will rollout. Can someone tell me the reason for the 6 minutes added extra time? Is there an overall change in extra time even without wasting time? I think the same thing happened in City match too. What am I missing?
