Bitconnect will not destroy cryptocurrencies but it has already destroyed itself. Many people like myself avoided this project in the beginning. Those affected were lured into this ponzi scheme with hopes of getting rich and now they have been burned badly. Hopefully they can recover from this disaster but it'll be hard if they fell for it hard and went in 100%.
I agree with you one hindered percent. Bitconnect is nothing, but a ponzi scheme and cannot cause any significant crash.

Everybody with a little brain is thinking "Just HOLD".
The news of South Korea and China are nothing serious yet, but some people saw the opportunity to sell before the dip and almost everybody is panicking after that.
Well, I think, it's almost over so, "Just HOLD"!
"South Korean ministers have suggested that trading in the currencies could be banned entirely"
"China’s government is planning to shut down Bitcoin miners in its latest crackdown on the cryptocurrency."
This news are the two main reasons for this huge dip. But nothing is final, they are just talking and everybody is panicking.

I think it was time for correction. The prices jumped too quickly too high. Now it's going to be good time to fill up some holes in portfolio. I think very soon everything will be back to normal.
I think it is just a price correction. I think the price will drop a bit more, before start raising again. Cardano is promising project and I have faith in it. I would definitely not sell now and I am considering buying more.
Most people, I have talk with, say "Are you crazy? You don't know what this is and what is really doing on." After I make some of my friends read a little bit, now they ask questions all the time. I have one that invested some money already.
I don't think market is crashing. It is just market cycle that is all. Yes we went too fast, too high, but that why the corrections are needed. It is not the end of it, don't worry.

I don't think this question has one answer only. It is very different story if you sell the tokens right away or you hold it for a month or two. The difference can be huge. Take DeepOnion for example.

I use MyEtherWallet all the time and I never had a problem. Protect your private keys, that is the most important and be careful is it the real site you are going to. Never open link someone send it to you.
I am holding, buying and selling different altcoins all the time. Some I keep long time like Bitcoin, Cardano, IOTA and Ethereum. Some I am trading more often and do not keep for long. Ripple for example.
Just use https://www.myetherwallet.com/ You should protect your private key, bookmark the address and open from there only and never open a link form email or messenger. If you keep this simple rules you will be fine.

Crypto is the beginning of an alternative monetary system. The next stage in the evolution of money.
A system where (crypto) currencies are actually forced to compete for market share. What a concept!
Government-backed currencies have operated as monopolies for far too long. There's no innovation. Fiat money is simply a blunt tool for controlling people.
Crypto gives me hope that we can build a better system... and eventually end the central banking system.
I'm not alone in that hope. Millions of people are now betting on crypto to change the world.
I believe this is what's really fueling crypto's rise. The widespread desire for a system that is fundamentally different and better.
Sure, speculation and profit-seeking play a role. But people don't just invest in crypto... They join it, like it's a movement.
So the next time you hear somebody mention tulips, bubbles and crypto in the same sentence, consider giving them a different perspective.
I am seriously doubting that crypto will change the world the way that we will get rid of the central banking system. I believe most of the people are here just seeking profit and not dreaming of different world.

I hope it is just an initial investment and will be followed by more in the future. But now I would go for Ripple. The price is good right now and I am buying again, as well.
No one know for sure when it is going to crash (I mean big, giant crash, that will kill the market for months). Everything depends of how hard is the market pumped and how crazy the prices will go. For now I think we are all safe, but if the market grow 9-10 time the current market cap, and is without any regulations, than I would be worry.

I think it is a great time to buy Bitcoin. I do not believe the price will drop much more. Ethereum is good option as well, but it is on the rise and it's always better to buy them when they are cheap, so for now I suggest to buy Bitcoin.
I think that Bitcoin will past 20000$. But why do you need to sell all allts? A lot of them are good options as well, like Cardano, Ethereum, IOTA and so on. Some of the alts will give you better return and will make you more money, than Bitcoin.

2017 changed my life thanks to crypto. Many people in crypto make the mistake to go in projects that are already high. Maybe most people are just too lazy or dont have the time to analyze and look at coins below the top100 at Coinmarketcap ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Colx combines Monero and Raiblocks and will x100 in 2018. But I think we will see many cheap altcoins explode in 2018, while Bitcoin stays relatively stable. Agree or disagree? I definitely agree with you. 2018 will be great year, a lot of cheap coins will gather value and bitcoin will be on the rise as well.

Ethereum is on the rise, I have good amount of money invested in it, but I hope will not double its price for 7 weeks. It is possible to raise to 2k, but I think the results of this fast raising will be good in long term prospective.
We have talk a lot about this 1000$ milestone in the forum. So it did and will keep growing. The next big think is going to be Cardano in my opinion.

I do not have much respect for pump and dump mainly, because you are playing somebody's game, but not yours. If you are late, guess who is the winner and who is the loser. You will be better off following your own strategy!
