did you compile it from source? If not it will be library dependent and you probably are missing libriaries. |

Another strike for clueless posters, the devs haven't released a cgminer for Maxcoin therefore any that are out there are not going to work are they. You are either a botnet op or just another ignorant noob. The devs a clearly out of their league with this release. Hey, your the clueless noob that said scrypt was better. I couldn't stop laughing. Scrypt is the most power wasting hardware destroying thing that ever happened to alt-coins. Sha3 is about 300 times faster than scrypt. |

OK, let me get this straight: - This is coin is SHA-3 in order to be CPU minable only - It soon will, or already is, possible to mine with GPU anyway - No botnet protection Why not make it a Scrypt coin in the first place?  Am I missing something? Yes you are missing something. sha3 is better. |

Asics can not mine it.. do not worry about that at all.
But do worry about massive botnets hoping on this fast.. and i would not be surprised if Max himself did not have one ready to go
There will be some bot nets configured and waiting to mine right now. They will not doubt cause a few coin forks early on whilst the diff is low, so watch out for that. Make sure you have lots of confirms before trying to transfer any coins. |

Learn to read, nobody is mining MaXcoin yet. I apologize I must be in some form of temporal vortex or something because what I read said. Tl;dr - SHA-3 coin. Launches 7.30PM GMT on Wednesday 5th February 2014. More info to be seeded out via @MaxCoinProject. Not a fork of dogecoin which has past. I have found the twitter now though and seen about the relaunch. This was posted to the irc channel: http://www.sendspace.com/file/hw8ccuThey said it was maxcoin-cpuminer compiled for Windows. I laughed but then people were saying it was working so I tested it out in a VM and it looks legit. I ran it like this: minerd.exe --algo=keccak --benchmarkand it was getting about 1100 kh/s on my Windows 7 64 bit VM with 1 virtual cpu. I got about the same on a per core on an 3450 Xeon on Ubuntu. About 1/3rd. of the speed of sha256d. |

anyone care to share the linux source for either cpuminer or wallet?
It's only been mentioned like half a dozen times in this thread today. I guess some people just don't bother to read. http://www.maxcoin.co.uk/downloads/However people are saying the wallet is a dud file. So wait until tomorrow like the rest of us. |
