Getting 2 wickets on a track that is good for batting before the end of day 2 is impressive. I was not expecting early wickets on this track as Ben Duckett is looking impossible to stop. He has already got his century and now he is planning for another one it seems. Bhumrah has not been able to get any wickets for now but he will as he always does. India batted well to get 445 runs in the end Jurel was good with the bat and he has been good behind the wickets too. I guess Bharat might be said goodbye if this debutant performs better than him. So far he is doing good and better than Bharat as per my understanding of cricket.

2 wickets according to the game is not enough but considering the batting track it's okaish, but already they got over 200 with 8 wickets in hand the score from India looks too small and the impressive things about ENG is they are scoring at 6 RPO which disturbs the bowling strategies so Rohit and bowling unit has to come up with new strategies to tackle or India might be given huge trail if they manage to bat for complete 3 sessions tomorrow.

Bumrah will surely make an impact if ball starts to reverse.
282  Local / India / Re: Suggestion! Access Banned International Exchanges with VPNs that Accepts Crypto. on: February 16, 2024, 04:59:17 PM
I am not fan of using centralized exchanges for very long time so this URL ban didn't affect me at all in any way, but people who trade altcoins has to find a way to avoid taxes not to evade and that is why we have seen an exchange named Pi42 for futures that avoid taxation.

I believe p2p is the best possible alternative as of now than using centralized exchange because if we deposit or withdraw fiat from exchange it will connect our account and government will certainly know what we are doing with the money, so VPN just bypasses the access of site, but it doesn't safeguard money trail.

While this list can be useful for someone who trade crypto to crypto and doesn't cash out their crypto in INR.

you cannot trade on a DEX as comfortably as you can do it on a CEX. I have previously traded on pancakeswap and I was not able to make a trade comfortably as I was able to do it on Binance. The sole reason of me using a CEX is not for converting crypto to fiat but for trading. I do not use International exchanges for converting my profits to INR, I still use a local exchange to do it.

DEX is expensive in terms of fees, low liquidity that is why centralized exchanges beat everything when it comes to convenience. And if your going to trade only altcoins then you are supposed not to pay any taxes that means we are not violating the taxation but we have to be careful if exchange prohibits using from banned jurisdiction then our account will be under risk all the time.

Rohit took a page from Stoke's playbook and set a heavy leg side field and Siraj went with the short ball tactics and in the same over they managed to manufacture a wicket, similar to what England did. India needs more of that, even if they go for runs.
Captaincy was not up to the mark in the beginning but at last he did something that he has been reluctant to do in this series.

Tomorrow morning could be the only hope for India, or else ENG will tally the score in another two sessions and then go for runs before spinners came into attack. 500 wickets for ASH that is quite impressive but overall the top class Indian spin attack looks very average against attacking play.

284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 16, 2024, 09:28:07 AM
Duckett of to a flying start and posted 50 in no time.

ENG is pushing for the defensive mindset after such start which is exactly what they need to do and finally ball has been given to Ashwin but so far the runs are flowing in singles as well as boundaries.

Who is going to draw the first blood?
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 16, 2024, 08:42:26 AM
Both debutant played well in thier first test, Jurel neede only 4 runs to get to his furst half century. He missed it an he still has a second innings to get another. Brilliant effort by the tail batters they added good runs to the Indian scoreboard. It won't be that easy for the English batters to chase 445 runs. They will need a good innings and a big partnership to get those runs. Indian bowling attack would prevent them in getting those runs as they did last time.
Well this time the pitch is completely batting friendly so We can't take them for granted.

As usual openers started attacking early and if they manage to survive without losing wickets for the first 10 overs then they are going to be in the crease for very long time. I hope Bumrah will do the magic here too that can make things difficult for them apart from that it's gonna be a run feast.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 15, 2024, 05:39:59 PM

The performance of the Indian team at the beginning of the game was really disappointing as they lost 3 wickets for 33 runs. But later managed to score again and the team turned around, Rohit Sharma's excellent batting performance brought the team back to good form again. For Sarfaraz Khan it must have felt as he was run out he would have made a bigger score if he had stayed in the team. However Ravindra Jadeja scored a great century but if he survives the second day he can be expected to score more runs. If India can hold on to the early going, it looks certain to average 430/450 runs, which is certainly possible if Ravindra Jadeja is at the crease.

Still two batters yet to bat and Ash can hang on long too and the wicket look amazing for run scoring so I would say India need to score as much as they can and atleast for two sessions then the score will close to 480.

Jaddu has the capability too but can he survive the morning? And he should and just fades away the run out if he scores big daddy runs in this innings.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 15, 2024, 04:23:35 PM
IMO now Jaddu needs to score Sarfraz's runs as well and not throw his wicket in the morning, which he's famous for.

The way Sarfraz was playing, I don't think Jadeja can make up for it.
Yeah, tough cookie for Jadeja but he should try and must add another 60 runs to his tally. In this series, he already has ran out 2 (Ash, Sarfraz and himself) of his teammates in just 2 matches, which cost 70-100 runs to India.

The pitch is looking flat atm and with the BAZBALL we can count on England to bat aggressively so need 150 runs more.

After the initial fumble, India managed to recover to 326/5 from 33/3. As said 440–450 looks like the par score and anything above needed and with deep batting lineup its possible but only thing is they need to survive the first 10 overs in the morning then the runs will starts flowing.

Really felt for Sarfraz, because he was dominating but it happens though.

Apart from the run out, Jadeja's batting skill helped India too, which we should not forget. Smiley
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 15, 2024, 06:11:22 AM
India looking in not so good situation right now with 62-3 (Jaiswal, Gill, Patidar gone), Rohit still on crease and Jadeja has come down just after 3rd wicket, which personally I'm not in favor of, whenever someone's original batting position is changed i'm reminded of odiwc where Jadeja came before Surya and well things went downhill Tongue

I am not fan of swapping player's original position either but about this particular move, I feel it's indeed put hold on the wickets column that Jaddu has to came early and it could gone other way if the debutants were put under lot of pressure.

After the initial chaos, Rohit and Jaddu managed to steady the innings for now with 50+ partnership but this match has long way to go because the avg 1st innings score of this venue is above 400 even including the first class matches. India has batting depth upto no.8 on paper but can they deliver?

IND 93/3 at the Lunch Break.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 15, 2024, 04:06:42 AM
Jurel, Sarfraz, Jadeja, Siraj comes in for Bharat, Iyer, Axar and Mukesh

Only one surprise for me there that being Siraj as replacement for Mukesh, I expected Akash Deep there.

For England side, Bashir goes out and Mark Wood is back in.

India won the toss and will be batting first.

I thought Bumrah is going to be rested for this match but due to the inexperienced batting lineup, they have to strengthen their bowling so went with the premium players. Good to see Sarfraz and Jurel got their caps, hope they will make it up to it.

Whenever I watch Jaiswal, he begins with a boundary on the very first ball, just reminding me of Sehwag who revolutionized the test format.

Expected to be a run feast that gives better edge to Englishmen than India in my opinion.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What contributes to a casual gambler becoming an addicted gambler? on: February 14, 2024, 07:58:44 PM
People generally addict to something when they want themselves to get distracted from one thing and we usually call it as escapism.

Let's assume someone who gamble responsibly for very long time in their life but recently they have been struggling in their life whether it's personal or financial issues or just not satisfied with current nature of living may see gambling as one because it's just give an immersive experience once someone gets deep into it and the money factor is the key of falling into addiction as well.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 14, 2024, 06:52:11 PM
Sri Lanka absolutely destroyed Afghanistan in the ODI series and I feel that senior players like Rashid, Mujeeb etc not being available helped them quite a bit since we all know what they are capable of.

Nissanka was the highlight of this series with a double century and a century. Good to see Wellalage performing well too.

Sri Lanka has been performing extremely well against associate nations but when they come to bigger stage they failed and we know SL had one of the most winning streak when entering into Asia Cup and we witnessed Siraj completely destroyed them in the final and in WC too they didn't made any impact.

Good to see the players are gaining experience and I hope we will see them more competitive when playing against SENA and India, Pakistan teams.

New update on the squad:  KL Rahul is ruled out for the 3rd test. Paddikal is his replacement.

Things got so bad that BCCI had to roll out a dictate that if any player is free, they are required to play in Ranji or Domestic cricket.

After becoming IPL riches, lots of players started ignoring their respecting state boards and hardly make themselves available but not anymore, given everything goes well.

BCCI mandates player participation in next round of Ranji Trophy matches

I feel it's good update because the players who are actively performing and not getting chances due to the star players of IPL can be navigated to some extent. But still it's good to form second stride team with more importance like they were in the past so if someone is injured then they can simply replace the player with who can be close to their playing style whether it's batting or bowling but what is happening now is kind of chaotic if one player injures and team combination has to be completed shuffled to fine right one.

^^ I believe he would get next 2 home series as well to come back in form and even if he doesn't then there is a high possiblity of management sticking with him because atm there is no captaincy option, unless they go back to kohli. It'd be wonderful but very unlikely.

What about Bumrah? He is at his prime, and it's long due from team India to have a bowler as a captain. Smiley

Bumrah showed his skill in India as well as in SENA even in his short test career, and it looks like he definitely interested in Leading MI after Hitman and that is why he emote heart Break when Pandya announced as the next captain.
Tricky one IMO.

He's a good candidate for captaincy but he's kind of fragile and prone to injury. If he's not playing any T-20-ODI then he could be a good asset as captain for team India but the way the ICC tourney popping up every year and considering the Indian team's FTP it's tough for a fast bowler.

Fast bowlers are more prone to injury than other players but if he is appointed as vice captain then he should be the one to look for future, or it's just unfair on the player who is giving everything and still not considered as someone who can lead from the front. Workload management is very tricky because BCCI is forcing players to play most matches as possible but considering his age and his current form, if he manages to balance his form and workload in this year then I am sure he will be one.

Another fact: Bumrah joined an elite club

The second player from Asia to reach no.1 ranking in all the formats, and the one is King Kohli.

296  Local / India / Re: Beware! Gov Planning a Cracks Down on Crypto Traders Evading Binance Ban on: February 11, 2024, 05:18:36 PM
The thing is that the government is more focused on getting tax income from cryptocurrency traders and that is why they are going for the kill. After the PayTM bank fiasco wherein a lot of accounts were connected to a single PAN and all these accounts were used for money laundering, it is clear that the government suspects those 4000 accounts are linked to the same issue.

As far as I know, the failure of paying taxes will only result into penalty/fine added with the amount they are supposed to pay and in rare circumstances the individuals maybe imprisoned even after the notice period and not given any valid reason why they haven't paid so this drama is just to increase the tax collection from the people who were doing something to survive.

The rich in this country have been known to evade tax or steal taxpayer's money and run to another country. That has been done for many years now under the watchful eyes of the government and still, they cannot get hold of them. That is why they are turning to those who are not rich but may be pawns of the rich or maybe genuine traders or maybe middle-class individuals who can easily be held responsible for the loss to the exchequer and their incompetence.

We can debate about the dirty politics all day long, but that is what it is and still they are going to be likely be in the power in the upcoming election too due to corruption of opposition part in their ruling period. And now Modi government is planning everything perfectly to keep them in power by making their agenda to majority and media power.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 11, 2024, 05:09:17 PM

Akash Deep  maybe making his debut and that means that two pacers will be in the playing XI (Akash and Jasprit Bumrah). For the spinners, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel are almost certain to be included. And this creates uncertainty for Kuldeep Yadav (also Washington Sundar is in the squad as well). In case Ravindra Jadeja is not fit, then he may get a chance. And I don't understand your post about Pujara. He is not even in the squad. Iyer maybe replaced by either Rajat Patidar or Sarfaraz Khan.

If I am not wrong the squad announced is only for the first two matches and the remaining three matches we will see some changes in the squad that is why I said Pujara might be considered due to the absence of Virat.

Small correction; Kulee is a wrist spinner, not off spinner.

After Pujara-Rahane, a discussion on Rohit will come up if he keeps failing with the bat. He has 2 years of test cricket left at best anyway, given he's in form.

My bad, I've made mistake. Cheesy

Already we can see discussions about Rohit on social media from former cricketers but he has the remaining three matches to prove his form for the test format. Or it is the time to bring new captain for the test format which is also indeed to make great transition.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Watching & betting on cricket matches has bad effects on study on: February 10, 2024, 07:43:40 PM

It's all just priorities. A student should always choose to study and parents shouldn't give their students extra money for their kids unless it's necessary. Extra money for a student means they can do something out of their school.  It may sound harsh but it's a way to keep them on the right path.

Too early for students to bet on games although they may learn this eventually, they shall learn it with the money they earn themselves not from the money given by their parents. Just look at the kid who took his life after losing the money for the school fees, I think all of us read that thread.

the priority for children is to study and focus on their future, not betting on cricket matches. i'm not saying that watching cricket is wrong; in fact, sometimes children need to rest by watching a game they like, but it's just for entertainment, they shouldn't bet on it and get caught up in it.

moreover, children usually get money from their parents, they should use this money for things that their parents allow, such as snacks, buying books, etc., not for betting and gambling all the money that their parents have entrusted to them. because no parent would be proud to see their child betting all the pocket money they received.

First of all, minors are not allowed to bet on betting platforms and if they do then there itself they violates the terms of betting and losing the money even if they manage to win the bets.

And you said it correctly, mostly kids get money from their parents, and how many kids really want to spend that money to bet?

Men over 20, might get deep into sport betting but at that time they are completely capable of knowing what is needed for them and if they choose entertainment over their future then they are digging their own grave.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 10, 2024, 06:28:18 PM

Kuldeep didn't do anything wrong and bowled exceptionally well in the last test so it'd be unfair for management to drop him, only because batters are not doing their job and they want to strengthen their batting lineup. The top order and middle order need to step up and score some runs for a change. How many times do they want number 7-8-9 to save their bum? The lower order has been doing heavy lifting for the last 3-4 years with the ball and bat.

Also if it's not a spinning track then bring Jurel as he's handy with the bat but we never know what management is thinking as the Rohit-Dravid duo is following a defensive strategy.

I would still prefer Kuldeep to be in the playing XI because finger spinners are wicket takers and in flat wickets like Rajkot they might needed him badly even if one or two partnership builds up.

And I am really concerned about Rohit's test form too because it's depleted completely and he has to step up like what he did in WC then only the middle order might regain their confidence. If Iyer is not playing I strongly prefer Pujara to be played but as said Team management is looking for the future talents but they failed to make it in the Balanced way.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Watching & betting on cricket matches has bad effects on study on: February 10, 2024, 03:59:03 PM
But you should watch cricket because it is like entertainment and entertainment is more important than studying.

Not really, we need to know what we should prioritize and if it's entertainment over our future and selecting entertainment then I would call it as stupidity.

I love watching cricket and I do since my childhood but it never affected my studies in any way and cricket matches may happen every day but the country you love may not be playing every day and even IPL only scheduled in the summer holidays of school in India.
