282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned in famous youtuber video!!! on: December 30, 2015, 02:43:57 PM
First of all, this dude is not so famous, because I never seen him before until now. Secondly, it seems like rather insignificant 'fun fact' people hear and forgot almost instantly.
If I was not familiar with bitcoin before I would probably did not know what Mattew Santoro is talking about. I am still waiting for REAL famous YouTuber - like PeWDiePie to mention bitcoins.

I had not heard of him either but he has 5 mil subscribers and get very higher figures viewing per vid.  It only takes 2 seconds to look at the stats.  Its a big world out there and bitcoin can be used anywhere, he is clearly very famous.

OP feel free to add this link to the main OP also, maybe we could get something started here with a mega thread:

This was JennaMarbles mentioning bitcoin in a 4.5 mil view vid a while back.
284  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which site you don't want to gamble in 2016? on: December 30, 2015, 02:14:14 PM
I dont see battlecoin on the list but i dont think its needed as you are saying what sites to avoid are you?

I'd like to see more skill game gambling sites like battlecoin in 2016 please Smiley
285  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to get celebrities gambling? on: December 30, 2015, 02:10:33 PM
it would be very great promotion for bitcoins if celebrities started gambling with it and telling other people who like those famous ones about their experience with bitcoins, but i dont think we can do too much about it as we cant make them go gamble

you never know. some might even be here already hiding behind username. and i mean they themselves wouldnt announce such

There for sure are, when i was into poker big time we'd often hear about different usernames being different celebs.  Its very common as they are humans aswell they do things like gamble online like any other human.
286  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here part of "1 million club"? on: December 30, 2015, 02:08:35 PM
Anyone here has 21 BTC or more? I see some people aiming for that as a long term goal and long term hold, I also would like to reach this amount, that is why I hope for the price to stay as low as possible so it's easier to achieve, if it keeps growing it will be impossible for me. I still don't even have 2 figures. There is just something great knowing that you are part of only 1 million people to ever own 21 BTC, I would like that.

I think a fair few people were on the forums until gox screw a ton of us.  Also remember there will be less and less 21 mil clubbers as we go the bigger holders are picking up more coins and the price is going up.  This is probably the last year where average joe might have a chance at it.
287  Economy / Economics / Re: A Resource Based Economy on: December 30, 2015, 02:03:15 PM
because humans are negligent, stupid and evil.

answer this, where do you think those traits coming from?

Thats what humans are. If you look for a paradise, you are not going to get it with humans, because we are corrupt by design.

I'd like to think of us more as a blank canvas, we can do good things and bad things. If we are bad at the moment of birth there really is no point we might aswell all top ourselves as RBE wont save us either way.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How could I explain easily to someone that know nothing about Bitcoin what it is ? on: December 30, 2015, 01:58:03 PM
How could I explain what Bitcoin is to someone that don't know about Bitcoin at all nor about computers in general ? The only way I have now is to say it's like PayPal but I don't like it that much Undecided. Anyone has an idea ?

I would just ask them stuff like where do they think the money they use right now comes from and how it gets its value, who decides that etc.  Once you get past that step then you can tell them about new designs of money creation.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned in famous youtuber video!!! on: December 30, 2015, 01:55:06 PM
So i was watching Matthew Santorro new video that came out a few hours ago and in it he told one fact about bitcoins. I guess bitcoins will attract some new members as a lot of people view his videos.

Here is the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVN7ywBSyIk the fact about bitcoins is #4

Awesome and i learned about purple being a royal colour also.... never knew that.

Would have liked to see more on bitcoin, we should have a thread of bitcoin being mentioned on random youtube vids.... hmmm maybe i will make one.
290  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to get celebrities gambling? on: December 30, 2015, 01:50:42 PM
Guys like Dan Bilzerian and Mayweather are huge gamblers. How to get them to start playing on the Bitcoin gambling game? this would bring lots of media attention which at the end of the day is all that counts. Those guys talking about Bitcoin means lots of new people starting in the gambling Bitcoin ecosystem since they have millions of followers.

Im thinking tons of celebs are already gambling and maybe some are using bitcoin.  Why would they want to make what they do public though?  unless they are sponsored by the sites like we see in poker it makes little sense, who wants to be known for losing half a mil or something.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 30, 2015, 01:48:56 PM
Today only game Sunderland - Liverpool, my first choice is draw, then under 2.5 goals.
Score prediction is 1-1. I don't expect a lot of attacking approach in this match.

Im thinking 3-0 liverpool actually, might stay away from this one though could be tricky.

Great point for leicester against city to keep the prem title dream alive.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 28, 2015, 03:58:20 PM

294  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your gambling stategy? Are you risky, or do you prefer slow? on: December 28, 2015, 10:45:48 AM
my strategy is very simple in my opinion the strategy i use is called martingale and if i use it i play with very small sums in order to minimize the chances of loosing all the money i deposit to the gambling websites despite this fact i often manage to loose great amounts of money

Think everyone goes through the martingale phaise i know i spent a good deal of time trying to work out why it could win.  Its fun to play that way though and always a big rush when you have got down to your last big bet trying to keep the run going.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 28, 2015, 10:41:49 AM
for me as a United fan, I'm very sorry for what will LVG never be Liverpool or Manchester City manager. Sad
what he does in United would wish the greatest enemies  Grin

Hes always played the same brand of football from what i can remember and its no good in the modern high paced attacking game now.  Looks like he will get the retirement with his wife hes wanted, good for him.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Centralization and Decentralization (1952) on: December 28, 2015, 10:37:32 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smhyEinAgPk

Found this interesting video on Centralization and Decentralization.  Seems like a propaganda video to justify centralization i would say. Without tools like bitcoin and the internet it seems people didnt have much choice to go centralized for some things?  Thank god for technology and its now our generations responsilbity to push to decentralize everything as this other video i watced today suggests: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFgnrd3G81U
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 27, 2015, 10:43:07 AM

Van gaal is now 1/40 to be the next prem manager to leave, its not even worth betting on its that much likely it will happen haha who would have thought things would turn that quickly.  I think hes gone before they play chelsea.
298  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin exchange in Europe? on: December 26, 2015, 04:19:18 PM
Kraken and Coinbase have been the best though, but if you are very much concerned about your coins to be stolen, then you should go for Localbitcoins as you will be able to find some cash transactions too to hide everything and do it anonymously...
I think I have most commonly seen Bitstamp and localbitcoins suggested for Europeans. because As I saw price is also and little safety better than other exchanges. But be aware of scammers as well.Wink Take a look and see if that works well for all.

Kraken has better security record vs bitstamp remember stamp lost 16k bitcoin and kraken has lost zero.  One thing you can say for stamp is they stuck around despite going through bad times.  My vote is still with kraken.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 26, 2015, 04:15:56 PM
poor manchester united! poor van gaal! in 7 match never win,  i hope van gaal will get fired soon.

Wow yeah i saw it was 2-0, im thinking this is RIP van gaal, i put a bet on this now.  Cannot see how he could survive, i cannot remember such a poor run for united against lower quality teams.
300  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: December 26, 2015, 04:12:32 PM
I saw someone mention some things about wishing they could buy gas and food with btc ...
I agree with them both, food especially.

So what about you guys ?
Anything that you wish you could buy with btc ? (legal things of course LOL Cheesy)

The simple answer is i wish i could buy everything.

I would like to see housing market fully loaded with bitcoin though but yeah basically that would mean everyone accepts bitcoin to get to that state.  Paying rent and bills would be nice.
