It will be a new transaction therefore it doesn't require a full xmr blockchain download but how will exodus know not to download the whole xmr blockchain, do I get to choose after I click sync?

Because it's a newly generated wallet, Exodus "knows" it doesn't need to download the entire Monero blockchain. You can manually adjust the block height following the instructions provided in my previous reply: "How do I reset the wallet block height?"

Lol   Grin Grin Grin

It seems you forgot that you were logging in with your alt account to answer posts from BlackBoss_, I saw your unedited post.

This is from the edition, how to screw up a new life before it begins

Yep!  It also means he was ban-evading. He created and used the ArikeTobi account while the Nathrixxx account was banned.
283  Economy / Reputation / Re: Which campaign has the most spammers? on: February 16, 2024, 10:25:26 AM
Check the most active posters. Currently, the top 5-24 is completely filled with only Stake signatures:

This is from the last 7 days only? Bitvest and Elonshitcoin campaigns are currently paused, if I'm not mistaken.

Can account be ban without any issues, I think it's because of plagiarism or not, I don't know why account got ban, so what's my offence and nobody have told me my offence why this account got ban since is not a plagiarism.

Your account is banned due to excessive spamming and probably plagiarism, but I think you already know that. You explained yourself:

Yes you are right, spammers that is not contributing anything meaningful to the forum is supposed to ban because the reason the forum is created  for good communication and also bring a solution that will solve big problems. But some of us don't read and don't take the rules and regulations serious, so they are supposed to be ban. It's in the law of the forum that pointless contribution is not supported and any pointless response is as off-topic, so if what they will be given is off topic let them be ban.

That's just imagination that dataispower is connected to those numerous account, their is no legitimate proof to show that dataispower is connected <cut>

That's not true. Here's your legitimate proof:

I tried to apply to one campaign, but my attempts were unsuccessful.

I'm sorry to be blunt, but judging by your post history and your reputation, I wouldn't hire you either. To be clear, I'm not talking about your main account. I don't know who you really are. Maybe you are actually a good, quality member. We might even have a good interaction with each other. But not with this account. This one seems more like a useless shit-stirring throwaway account.  Wink
286  Economy / Reputation / Re: Since Richbased locked his thread.... on: February 15, 2024, 04:54:26 PM
Already the highest you can do is to tag the both accounts for being alts 🙄 and I see you have already done that without even evaluating the evidence and fact around the issue so I see no reasons for all these drama or am I missing something here
<snip>

You are probably missing the fact that both accounts are involved in taking no-collateral loans on the forum, so their potential connection matters in terms of reputation and trust.  I mean, if they were just your average Joes, no one would bat an eye about them being alt accounts. But since they're knee-deep in potentially dodgy stuff, well, that's a different story, wouldn't you say?
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the lost BTC? on: February 15, 2024, 08:02:59 AM
Well, if you have a money that is locked forever, even if you know that it is there, but it can't be used or moved, than it can be considered lost, can't it? hahaha

Well, I guess if you had money that was somehow locked away permanently, with no way to access it ever again, there'd be no way to definitively prove the money was yours. Even if you knew deep down that you earned or owned that money at some point, with no private keys as the rightful owner you'd have no evidence to back up your claim over it.

So, in that kind of situation, how could you conclusively prove the money doesn't actually belong to someone else instead? If you can't verify your own ownership of it, the door is open for another party to potentially step in and argue it's their money that got locked away. And, if it is someone else's, then it is not lost.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if? (2) on: February 15, 2024, 07:51:12 AM

If there is a "deadly solar storm" I think losing bitcoin is the least of our problems.
Haven't you seen the movie "2012"?  Grin

Just kidding about the movie of course but yeah, like I said there would be much more urgent issues than wondering how much crypto coins are doing right now.
In situations like this it's all about resources you can eat, drink and live on, not something you can't even physically touch.

Exactly! A complete internet blackout would certainly cause major disruptions across society.  Without access to online communication and financial transactions, people would struggle to connect, share information, or conduct business.

We'd likely see a resurgence in older technologies as folks scramble for alternative ways to interact.  Using landline phones and radios, even sending letters through the postal service are communication channels that could regain prominence, at least temporarily.  For financial transactions, physical currency would probably become necessary again since online banking credit cards and payment apps wouldn't function.

But beyond the inconveniences to individuals, an internet outage poses risks that could have catastrophic ripple effects. and  Emergency response systems often rely on internet connectivity, so medical, fire and police assistance could be dangerously delayed or unavailable.  Transportation networks like air travel depend on online coordination potentially stranding people away from home.  Supply chains that deliver food, medicine and other life-sustaining goods also lean heavily on internet-enabled logistics, threatening shortages.

So, yeah! It's kind of a freaky thought when you actually stop and realize how screwed we'd be if we lost internet access.  I mean, sure we got along fine without the internet for thousands of years.  But good grief, can you even picture modern society trying to function without it? It would be total chaos.

290  Economy / Lending / Re: I need Help on: February 14, 2024, 02:20:06 PM
If you don't want to give me job please give me a loan. I am not scammer and don't know if I will be the winner of looser. If I am winner I will pay you back with 50% profit.

You had me at "not a scammer," but then you lost me at "winner" OR "looser". Hahaha!  What happens with my money if you're a loser?

Based on that logic, and your forum history, I might be better off putting my $100 at an online casino with a 1.5x multiplier. I'll have a much better chance of getting my money back.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a wallet that stores more than one crytpo on your desktop? on: February 14, 2024, 08:20:15 AM
Can I start using the receive address for monero straight away without syncing Exodus as its asking me to do, I can see it's generated an XMR address for me to use without going thru sync. I want to avoid large download which is why I want to bypass sync if possible of Exodus.

Read this reddit reply from official Exodus staff, which may explain it better:

Hey there! For most assets, Exodus is a "lite wallet" that doesn't need to download the full blockchain. However, XMR is an exception. It doesn't need to download the whole blockchain in order for you to send/receive XMR, it needs to download the blockchain to know what your balance is.

However, the whole blockchain only needs to be downloaded if your wallet has transactions dating back to the early days of XMR. Since this isn't necessary for most users, you can download a smaller part of the blockchain. We have a guide to doing so here.

So if you just downloaded exodus, never sync before it's ok to generate a receive address and start using it? And after receiving the funds the blockchain ledgers will know I have conducted a transaction even though I never sync before?

Yes, it's ok to generate an address and start using it. The Monero Blockchain ledger will know about the transaction after the transaction has been confirmed by the miners, but your wallet will not know about the transaction until it is synced with the blockchain.

The latest blockchain/broadcast transactions are helpful in what situations?

To see the correct wallet balance and to be able to use the received coins.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a wallet that stores more than one crytpo on your desktop? on: February 14, 2024, 07:57:02 AM
Why is exodus offering me a receiving address to receive monero if I haven't done the full sync to its blockchain yet? Are you sure I can't avoid downloading the whole blockchain. There's multiple coins, are all their individual blockchains going to downloaded if I click sync?

Generating new addresses is not an on-chain event, but pure math. You can generate valid addresses while you are completely offline. Basically, you only need to sync up if you want to catch up on the latest blockchain transactions or broadcast new transactions of your own.

Syncing doesn't always mean downloading the whole blockchain! Since Exodus isn't a full-node wallet, it uses external servers to function. But, to keep your info updated, you'll still need to sync it with those servers for the latest transaction details.
293  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why does Redtrust give without any data proof ? on: February 13, 2024, 08:51:05 AM
Fucking Forum fucking forum Senior member ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,no reason why redtrust me

Such an attitude is unlikely to help you get rid of your red trust...

But, more importantly, if you made an honest mistake in your post the Turkish board, why didn't you at least make an effort to correct it and explain the situation?

Seriously, what's the deal with folks thinking admitting their mistakes and apologies are below them? Is it pride? Stubbornness?
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a wallet that stores more than one crytpo on your desktop? on: February 13, 2024, 08:10:29 AM
The several hrs wait seems like a hassle, do I have to click sync?

Exodus receive address appears without having to click sync and wait needlessly around for several hrs. Can I start receiving xmr with this or do I need to sync and wait around hrs? I am confused is it mandatory to click sync or should I ignore it?

All wallets have to be synced with the blockchain in some way. Full node wallets download and verify the entire blockchain history, so it takes some time when it's done for the first time, and requires more storage space on your machine. Light wallets, like Electrum or MetaMask, don't require full synchronization but rely on external servers for information, so you sacrifice a bit of your privacy by using them.

Is this exodus a HD (Hierarchical Deterministic) wallets as I need the capability to generate new addresses for both receiving and sending transactions.

The vast majority of modern cryptocurrency wallets are Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallets.

To switch off exodus do I just click close (upper right blue icon). No password required?

Some wallets may not require a password by default, but using a password to encrypt your wallet is always recommended for added security. For convenience, the password is usually only required to open the wallet, not when closing the software.

I'm still deciding on a second desktop wallet that's HD (Hierarchical Deterministic)  for monero and btc. Which way should I go. I have Electrum for btc and Exodus for alt like xmr would there be benefit in getting one more hd? I really after HD (Hierarchical Deterministic) desktop wallet as I need the capability to generate new addresses for both receiving and sending transactions with monero.

If you have become comfortable with the Exodus wallet, there's no need to switch unless you have a specific reason. Of course, exploring new options is always fun! But before diving in, remember to prioritize security. Ideally, test new software on a machine you don't use for crucial stuff. If that's not possible, consider using a virtual machine or a dual-boot system.

296  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why High Demand for Bitcoin Testnet Coins? on: February 12, 2024, 07:58:20 AM
Looks like I'm missing something... I seem to have some t'network coins, but I'm a little confused since my Bitcoin address starts with "m" and not "t".

If I'm not mistaken, addresses starting with "m" or "n" are P2PKH (legacy) addresses, and addresses starting with "tb1" are in Bech32 format. Testnet wallets should be able to send to all addresses, regardless of whether the prefix is "m", "n", or "tb1".
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a wallet that stores more than one crytpo on your desktop? on: February 12, 2024, 07:37:12 AM
Cake Wallet is an option to consider (https://cakewallet.com/).
Do these  offer different wallet addresses which one can use to store different cryptos  i.e. coin can't be stored in one wallet but in separate wallets.

I haven't used it much myself (except for testing and review only), but according to the features listed on the official website it has full support for separate wallets, subaddresses, and accounts!
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a wallet that stores more than one crytpo on your desktop? on: February 11, 2024, 11:04:02 PM
I think it is not possible. All the projects (coins) has their own wallet to hodle their coin. And if Op is looking for a wallet that he can use to hold or store his coin on a desktop computer, then, it would be a wallet like "Trustwallet" because in Trustwallet there are different wallet addresses which one can use to store different cryptos but even at that the coin can't be stored in one wallet but in separate wallets. Therefore I don't know where one wallet can be used to store different cryptos.

I'm sure he meant wallet software, not a single network (blockchain) wallet. But even if it is the latter, your statement is still not true. There are numerous wallets that support multiple crypto assets. For example, most wallets that communicate with the Ethereum blockchain support multiple crypto assets (tokens) on a single address. ETH, USDT, USDC, DAI, SHIB... to name a few.

I am not an expert or wallet analysis and I made my comment base on the Op content and not other people replies. And if you understand my comment I made mentioned of "Trustwallet" which can be used to store more cryptos with different addresses I don't know where my comment is nonsense and not truth. Well in life everyone has their own way of understanding. And apart from Trustwallet, one can use unstoppable wallet as well. I made the comment base on the Op please.

I believe I have explained clearly enough why I find your comment nonsensical. Read my reply again if you didn't understand it the first time.

By the way, Unstoppable wallet doesn't exist in desktop version. I don't know why you even bring it up since the OP was pretty specific about that.

Have a few BTC wallets , without passwords unfortunately…. Among others the 31K … darned , wish I had the password …
Anyway is there anyone here with tips , and I don’t mean password hashing , cause did that , been there …
Any tips regarding passwords would be nice ! Also have 4250 btc wallet , 1730 btc , 844 , 1225 , 109 844 , 26 etc etc etc …
Any information is appreciated !

It has already been explained to you on many occasions that these are fake wallet.dat files. Stop fooling yourself - you'll never be able to "hack" any of them.

These wallet.dat scams are so ridiculous.  Like how in the world do people think some body will sell a 31 thousand Bitcoin worth of a wallet.dat if the file is recoverable.  How do they guarantee you are the only owner of it.  They can send you the file and they will continue to have access over it among every body else who may have purchased it.

But then again.  How some people believe some body will sell a file worth over 1 BILLION DOLLARS for not even 0.1 percent of it and even believe it can ever be 'unlocked' is beyond my understanding.

OP.  You lost money on a file that will most certainly never be unlocked to you.  Take the loss and move on.  You can not get 31 thousand Bitcoin for cheap any more, so take what you can get and be happy with it.

Yeah. It's wild what folks will fall for.  But hey, maybe some learn the hard way.  Still messed up though.
300  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: help plz. i got scammed for 500$ from rollbit help razer on: February 11, 2024, 10:27:34 PM
and again since u asked me the 500 was a tip from a buddy people can tip each other on rollbit.. so he did and i try to cash and well got banned and money gone funny i did kyc as they ask and still banned

So you tried to cash in a $500 tip you got from someone without gambling at all? I'm pretty sure no casino would allow that because it's against the AML policy.

for some people like me 500$ is quite a lot of money .

In that case, I suggest that you quit gambling altogether.  It sounds like it's causing you more harm than good.
