281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is once again going through a hard fork? on: May 02, 2021, 03:20:04 PM
I came across a news about Etherlite, a hard fork of Ethereum. Has anyone also heard the news? I have read several articles about it but it seems it is not widely discussed here, not even mentioned in the ANN thread of Ethereum.

In fact, the Mainnet has just been launched today. But it seems it is not a big deal at all. Is this another useless hard fork or is this hard fork directed towards a goal which would really improve the network?

I want to hear the opinions of the expert on this.

Another Hard fork again? It seems that it is never-ending cycles of these easy money copycats scheme, (if that hard fork will be resulting in a new coin) I can say that it's another ride on with the current Ethereum issue's which is the expensive transaction fees and slower network But I think the gas fees are already gone down as I wrote this the current gas fee was 49-51 Gwei which is I think a little bit cheaper compare to the previous weeks or months.
Whether it's copycat or not who cares? Free airdrop means free money, I bet all you got to do is keep some ETH in your wallet to be qualified and that's all, I've heard about the project as well and it looks legit to me, as far as you aren't told to insert your private keys to another wallet you will be fine, free money is yummy
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinZ (HIGH mining profit, NO premine , NO ICOS ) with privacy, low fees) on: May 02, 2021, 03:17:40 PM
Everything have been so quiet about this project for a long time, is there any update and development still ongoing? I used to keep 1,000,000 BCZ in the past and I don't bother to check it again
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Would you buy any of these? on: May 02, 2021, 03:11:30 PM
What's a reasonable amount to buy these cards right now?

1. RTX3070
2. RTX2080ti

Someone trying to sell for me at 1300$ for the RTX2080ti and 1500$ for the RTX3070, would you buy at this price or they are way too high?

the 2080ti is old tech that is a no.

the 3070 for 1500 is ?

at the moment it burns 50 cents a day and make 5.50 a day so 5 bucks net

1500/5 = 300 days so it is a bit pricey

1000/5 = 200 days fairly good.

When I look for a 3060ti or a 3070   I buy at 1000 or under.

So me personally would not buy it.

But I have a lot of gpus. I do not need it.

Philipma between gtx1660 super and RTX2080ti which is more better? I'm curious since you called RTX2080Ti a old tech card, how is that possible? Buying RTX2080Ti at 1000$ still ok I guess, that card can do 60MH if I'm correct
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: new asic ETH miners is coming. what should gpu miner do? on: April 30, 2021, 04:56:41 PM
I've been miing on 150 gpus since late 2016 and I'm not adding and I'm selling a few.  Plan on making almost no money, Eth has so much mining power it will crush most coins to near zero profit.

Not sure who is goign to buy the ASICs with reward reduciotn and POS its a huge gamble.
What do you mean by you plan on making almost no money? I'm sure that something unexpected will come up for ETH mining, these new ASICS shows that mining isn't going away from ETH network soon but PoS is indeed on so maybe there will be fork for ETH PoW and ETH PoS ?? Just a guess
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to choose between these two on: April 30, 2021, 04:51:13 PM
Guys I need your opinions, I'm having a hard time choosing from a RTX2080Ti and a RX6700 for 1000$, is this a good price presently? Also which one has the highest hashrate thus more electricity efficiency ? If you are a owner of either one pls drop your comments and your max hashrate
Where did you find a store with a $ 1000 RX6700 graphics card?
If you do not want problems in mining, then it is better to buy video cards that do not get very hot and consume little electricity.
The RTX2080Ti is very hot and has a lot of power consumption. The RX6700 has a cool graphics card and low power consumption, but a small hash rate.
But I would probably buy a new RX6700 graphics card for $ 1000.
I don't get you, is RX6700 getting very hot when mining with the GPU? Or you are just spreading the warning? I don't believe that RTX2080Ti gets that hot too, if you are talking about hot 🔥 then start from RTX3080 and RTX3090 you will see the big difference
Ofcourse 3080 320W and 3090 350w they will be hotter than rtx2080Ti 250w.
Haha! RTX2080Ti is using 250 watts? This is why I have issue with big cards, two gtx1660 will do 63MH, same hashrate as a RTX2080TI but at 150watts and RTX2080Ti is taking 250watts ? That's a lot
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to choose between these two on: April 30, 2021, 04:48:15 PM
I think you made a mistake friend, OP is talking about RX6700 but you shared a HD6700 link, mind correcting that? I think when it comes to power efficiency the RX6700 wins, anyone using this card for mining?
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Anyone still doing Cpu mining? on: April 29, 2021, 09:17:55 AM
Xup crypto miners pls I have some high-end PC in my home doing nothing because I'm not mining with GPU on them but these PCs have high end CPUs like Xeon gold and the E5 24*** with 6cores and 8cores of cos having multiple threads available, don't tell me there is no coin I can mine with these beasts?
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anybody Source RTX-30xx cards on earth?? for reasonable price/quality on: April 29, 2021, 09:09:25 AM
I will sell all my cards for the right price, not cheap btw...
Currently selling my gtx1660 supers for 500$ each and I've successfully sold some already, actually I bought for 450$ but since GPU price keeps surging it's no crime to make back some money this way either, bear market won't be forgiving 💯
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IDO is going to replace IEO? on: April 29, 2021, 09:00:16 AM
It's happening already, I'm not seeing new projects using IEO like before even binance which is a IEO launchpad wizard have been quiet for some time now, most new projects are leaving centralised exchanges behind for IDO platforms and most have been successfully so far
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Gtx1080 in 2021 on: April 27, 2021, 06:24:10 PM
Would you buy a gtx1080 in 2021 at 400$ each? Someone is giving me this offer presently and he is into PC gaming not mining but 1080 isn't that great anymore, though better than many other old GPUs, what do you say about this? If you are in my shoes will you buy?
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Getting older GPUs to mine on: April 27, 2021, 06:20:26 PM
It looks like some people are just buying graphic cards without doing some calculations on how much time it's going to take them to get their ROI back, this is insane, I'm sure newbies are the ones taking this crazy path, they will end up learning the hard way
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX5700 Vs RX6700 on: April 27, 2021, 06:09:13 PM

i would argue the 5700 needs to be compared to the 6800

and the 5600 needs to be compared to the  6700

or maybe

6900 to 5700
6800 to 5600
6700 to 5500

but do not compare the 5700 to the 6700

I own

5500
5600
5700

6700
6800

have not sourced a 6900

so far i like

5600 a lot.

i can get some to do 39mh at 76 watts

pretty good numbers.

although nothing compares to  well to bitmain’s E9. 3200mh at 2800 watts.
The most power efficiency out of all your cards should be rx5500, correct me if you think I'm wrong, if 5600 can do 39mh at 76watts I'm wondering what the power consumption of rx5500 will be, can you please share that detail with us @philipma1957
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Eth Pow algo isn't going away anytime soon on: April 26, 2021, 02:14:51 PM
Seems like deja vu again.

yeah, even a new eth asic has now surfaced, we all know bitmain made it public, https://www.techpowerup.com/281471/bitmain-releases-antminer-e9-ethereum-asic-with-performance-of-32-rtx-3080-cards

gpu mining is done for with this, let the idiots pay 5x the msrp of gpus then resell for 5x less than what they have paid as soon as this crashes hehe.

one way or the other gpu mining will be done for, imagine all that eth hashrate into other pow coins, eth has been asic haven for quite sometime.
I'm just wondering how many people have already said what you're saying right now in past years, new ASICS means the end for its remaining I don't think so, since 2017 many ASIC miners comes around and yet here we are, anyways I planned on selling my graphics cards next month because I believe that's the best time to opt out of this ETH mining menace and I plan on selling those GPU on eBay for higher price
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prices are low, time to buy some good coin!! on: April 26, 2021, 02:10:35 PM
Almost all top altcoins are cheap presently so I would advise you to go for the best top altcoins like Ethereum and BNB, even LTC isn't a bad idea because the dips that happens days ago was planned to shake off weak hands, any future bullish movement from now will be more stronger than before
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: starting my own altcoin ??? on: April 26, 2021, 02:07:27 PM
OP I would advise you to create something fresh something new something that is not very very common in crypto space because we have thousands of new altcoins today and majority of them have the same exact use cases, the difference between them are not much so the only way to be two steps ahead of these altcoins is to create something new
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mdex SCAM ? on: April 25, 2021, 02:18:47 PM
Is that why you open an account with the same project name? That's not so cool, you could have just create a topic about the project in  scam accusation thread on here, this is the first time I'm hearing the name of this project and it's normal when bounty project refused to pay bounty hunters, my advice is just move on
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Chia generating K32 plot file on 230-240GB SSD on: April 25, 2021, 02:12:01 PM
I believe that CPU capability and Ram speed plays a major role when mining chia or say plotting, your CPU have to be gen 9 or gen 10 if it's i series, if it's XEON build then even better, though some XEON are old, Ive ordered for a XEON build server since they have more cores and threads, also 128g ddr4 RAM onboard.

To plot it's better to use 1TB NVME SSD, though avoid running your OS on this ssd
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on SafeMoon? on: April 24, 2021, 10:31:19 AM
Make money and exit the project, it has nothing good to offer than been a meme coin like dogecoin but it looks like a good way to make some money since the team are damn serious, all that matters is taking profit, if bear market starts safemoon won't have a room to cope, it will dump marginally
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: starting my own altcoin ??? on: April 24, 2021, 10:29:04 AM
hi i wanted to create my own altcoin . i had some questions  help to where do i start from ??
what do i do where i can gain knowalge about how create own coin ?? what do i need learn >>??
i know python only i dont have any idea about solidity language  but i wanted to learn this language //
is it good idea to have own coin  >>>Huh
( no rugpull and rekt )
You asked if it's good idea to own your own coin? I don't think you are even sure what you are up against here, are you sure you have something good to offer? Are you sure you are up to be a worthy developer? What's your plan? What are you trying to solve? This is the most important thing
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GAS fees on the ethereum network are slowly falling on: April 24, 2021, 10:26:29 AM
In recent days I have seen the price of GAS go down. which was above 100 is now starting to get closer to 50. This is very good for the future, what's more, the problem of the high cost of Ethereum transactions has been quite a while. The question is whether this will continue until the gas fees return to normal, or will there be an increase again as transactions become more intense on the ethereum network.

for those of you who want to see the latest GAS prices you can see it at https://ethgasstation.info/
Not completely good, it shows that lesser people are transacting with ETH at the moment, ETH team haven't fixed the high gas fee issue so I suspect that many people aren't doing transactions on eth network right now

Again this is also bad news for ETH miners, their daily reward just got more lower than before
