281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will get tezossed next, XRP? XLM? EOS? on: July 22, 2018, 06:16:31 PM
And what is the problem to pass KYC? This takes 5 minutes.
Yes, they acted lousy when they disappeared for 8 months and then announced KYC.
But to pass KYC it is not a big problem

The process may not that long but that's not the main issue. It's a problem because a lot of other people are simply not willing to give their personal info to some company that showed incompetence (or any company really) because the point of cryptocurrencies is privacy.
282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Open source tools to track bitcoin flows on: July 22, 2018, 05:33:50 PM
What do you exactly mean by that? If you want just want to see the transactions that you're sending and receiving then you could create a watch-only wallet in Electrum.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fork Bitcoin with a new Core that has no miner's fees. on: July 22, 2018, 02:10:25 PM
It's not going to work and it would be just a matter of time until miners stop mining it. Miners may start getting block rewards at first but once that's over, they won't be getting anything so they'll stop mining and that will give us a vulnerable network, not to mention the spam attacks that could occur etc.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Walleting.Services] AUTOMATIC Bitcoin Fork Claiming: BTG BCD SBTC BCX BTCP BIFI on: July 19, 2018, 11:20:27 AM
A new project called Revaloot is going to fork BTC and unlike the previous forks, it looks promising as It's not meant to be the same as bitcoin, it has a new concept, you may want to take a look.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LOL!!!! BIS Chief: WTF did you say!? Litecoin bought a Bank on: July 19, 2018, 10:41:40 AM
In my opinion, Charlie Lee is one of the few crypto figures that deserve respect and that can be trusted. It's still unclear on what he's trying to achieve by this, but I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing, exciting times coming ahead!
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bank and crypto industry unite or be linked? on: July 19, 2018, 08:58:01 AM
Regardless of what anyone says including CEOs of big banks, this is never going to happen.

Banksters want to control, there is no place for decentralization or anonymity here. The system is made to enrich the rich and to enslave the poor, they'll never accept or any other cryptocurrency that they don't have full control of.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will get tezossed next, XRP? XLM? EOS? on: July 19, 2018, 08:36:30 AM
Well, that should be valid for ICO projects who haven't distributed the tokens to their customers yet. I don't see any project actually giving tokens and then blocking smart contracts (assuming that it's possible) and then enforce people to pass a KYC verification, that would be chaotic. I got affected by what Tezos did, and I'm still not willing to pass the KYC.

This should be a lesson for us, If there is a coin that could claim that they are transparent, and truly decentralized, that would be "bitcoin" and nothing else. It's all about money for these people, If they did care about what cryptocurrencies are really about, they wouldn't aim to crowdfund millions of dollars to do that.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Etherscan vs Ethplorer on: July 17, 2018, 05:09:29 PM
In case my question wasn't clear enough, I'm asking about the API and not about the service itself because I'm planning to build a tool.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ? on: July 17, 2018, 04:32:21 PM
Not only Ethereum won't pass BTC in 2019 but I will go further and say that Ethereum and the rest of the altcoins could see their death in the next 5 years assuming that the development will continue as it is (and from what we've seen, the community is only growing more and more).

What to expect from bitcoin in the future? Atomic swaps, Submarine swaps, Lightning network, Schnorr Signatures, TumbleBit etc. All these things combined with the big community and the strong userbase that bitcoin currently have should give you an idea on what's going to happen.
290  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawing from an exchange to another exchange on: July 17, 2018, 10:50:36 AM
A withdrawal is a withdrawal, It doesn't matter where It's going to (exchange, another person etc.) as long as It's a valid address.

Most of the funds are kept in cold storage for security purposes (since hackers can't touch it)  and the remaining funds that that are moving are kept in a hot wallet otherwise It would take forever to process them.
291  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What do you think of all the giveaways lately? on: July 17, 2018, 09:09:19 AM
I'm not aware of these giveaways but my guess is that is a scam. A person who is only interested in the iPad won't look at the project so as far as I'm concerned, I don't see why would anyone read about the project afterwards.

It's very possible that they are simply collecting data from the accounts you're linking/using in the giveaway and then sell them or something so to answer your question, no, I don't think it add any value to the project (If it's done before/during the ICO). If it's done after, then that could be helpful.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Steemit take place of Facebook? on: July 16, 2018, 04:53:54 PM
The marketcap is basically the same for as long as I can remember so no, it's not going anywhere. The idea of a decentralized social media website is good but Steemit is poorly designed.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Etherscan vs Ethplorer on: July 16, 2018, 11:27:54 AM
I prefer Etherscan.io when it comes to checking my addresses and transactions because of the design but I would to know about the API If someone have used them before.

Which one is better when it comes to the limits and data that it can provide?
294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For this reason, wouldn't ETH be the future of all crypto? on: July 16, 2018, 07:39:20 AM
I used to have the same idea but not anymore. The sad truth is that shit projects will remain there and people will continue to invest and buy things that they know nothing about because a random ico rating site gave a high score for that coin or their favorite youtuber spoke about it. so when you say "figure out and simply not use them" I honestly don't know what you're talking about because unless people get educated, they'll keep using them.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEW holey! Take care of your money! on: July 15, 2018, 05:58:20 PM
Myetherwallet is open source and even though, they face technical issues from time to time, they are still a reputable service so If you're accusing them of stealing your funds, be sure that It's not from them.

If you lookup for this address in Etherscan.io, you'll see in the comments that this wallet is related to HOLA VPN vulnerability found a few days ago.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTG is the garbage coin right? on: July 15, 2018, 05:02:08 PM
You should worry about every BTC fork. They all claim to follow satoshi's vision while all they care about is money, I wouldn't trust these developers so to answer your question, yes It's a garbage coin, you should sell it as soon as you can because It's not going anywhere.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas MyEtherWallet ? on: July 15, 2018, 03:55:36 PM
Try to import your wallet to MyCrypto and see If the fees are the same or lower. I don't use the wallet but It's possible that its their algorithm but If the same problem applies everywhere, It's probably because of the Ethereum network being overloaded.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EXPERIMENT! It is possible to build the ICO project by the community? on: July 15, 2018, 02:05:48 PM
Probably not. Bitcoin is the only project that could've achieved that and since everything is about the money right now, there will be no project like it.

If you're genuine about the idea, I suggest trying to design your cryptocurrency, publish a whitepaper and code to back it up. If the idea is unique and good enough, people will join.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin ETF on: July 14, 2018, 08:40:38 PM
If there is something I've learned in the crypto world in the past few years is that whenever people expect something that could dramatically increase/decrease the price, it never happens (take the halving block reward for example).

This should be no different. I honestly suggest everyone to forget about the ETF and 10th of august. If it happens, good and If it doesn't, move on. Please don't put too much hopes on it.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes listing of coins so high on: July 11, 2018, 01:11:16 PM
With shitcoins coming from all over the place, I believe that it's reasonable from exchanges to set high fees to avoid spam requests. And no, this is not the reason why coins are dying. These ICOs are screwing up because they are a scam and they failing to deliver one time after the other because If we look at it from the money perspective, ICOs have millions of dollars and yet, don 't want to invest in decent exchanges so there is no one to blame except themselves.

We should not exagerate though, I believe the exchange that require the highest listing fee is Binance with $ 1M. If you want for your coin to be listed in other exchanges (mostly the decentralized ones), you could pay much less.
