I stop make conversation with you. You just know my opinion. You are bluffing. If not - go ahead. I am wating. It could be intresting expierience to see that.

then dump it, it will help me 51% attack sooner
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 06:02:30 AM
Nope not yet - maybe on christmas  Grin

15 on christmas? that's wishful thinking

But let me see if I get this straight. You can dump it to 15 on c-cex? Or on all exchanges? And is that including 15 or just above?
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 05:48:49 AM
bitladen - You are bluffing. That's all. I am waiting for your 51% attack  Grin Bought some popcorn. BTW. Are you emotionally stable? Or maybe have some problem with your sovial life?
I don't belive you and don' care about your opinion and noone from this great community. today i have enogh burst to dump the price to 15 satoshi and lot off people will do the same. What about your daily earings then? Go to beer with friends (if you have any) and go out from the basement.

excellent, dump it to 15 satoshi.

285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 05:38:58 AM

yes, you are right ... more than one line :-)  What i wanted to say is, that open source development does not work the way 'make me donations and i will implement a new features'.
you have to deliver first and hope that it pays out, maybe not always in money, but in reputation.

@yeponlyone i was taking about a fork on github.

Yes, it's true. I never asked for money though.
On the other hand I wasn't seeking as much the reputation, but a solution to a problem both the community and myself have. crowetic even vouched for me. They will still not cooperate, then the next best thing for me is that burst dies so a proper clone can take its place.

And I am willing to provide the pool and miner code, after the reward change. But before this happens, you can see it's not in my advantage to release it. In fact the client code should be added to your miner, to be precise. Mine is dcct cpu port.

In fact they could have had it since february, but they knew better then. And still think they know better now, despite the ongoing crash, which I have predicted.

And the fact is, that I already have a reputation, about 2PB worth of it. They would expect me not to take that into account when dealing with them? How so?
Usually the coders only seek the reputation here, so people got used to this kind of humble attitude.
Not me, my interest are in mining and making a good profit. But my proposals benefits the community, not just myself, if they cannot see that, let's wait until xmas and do nothing... i guess. Though when hashrate drops more - and it will - due to the price, I will do something. It's not a threat, it's a fact.

Did you read what I wrote? If you stand-by that position we are dead. Periods.

You must start the process to get things going.

How about that improved pool protocol, so we are leveling the playing field in that area?

You still offer me nothing. In order to change rewards, I would have to code it, in effect I will begin by offering you something. That's all I will offer for starters.

After that, you know how they say. Friends that care, share.

Code:
    @Override
    public long getBlockReward() {
     if(this.height == 0 || this.height >= 1944000) {
     return 0;
     }
     int month = this.height / 10800;
     long reward = BigInteger.valueOf(10000)
     .multiply(BigInteger.valueOf(95).pow(month))
     .divide(BigInteger.valueOf(100).pow(month)).longValue() * Constants.ONE_NXT;

     return reward;
    }

Hard work changing on line of code ... make a fork, make real improvments ... or nobody will take you serious.

come now luxe, you know better than that, I said:

increase the reward, after a certain block
make further rewards proportional to difficulty.
make 10% dev donation to the specific address.

+ testing.

ok not a huge undertaking, but still not exactly just one line of code.

P.S.: you know what, you please them and work for free, that's what they want. good luck
and if 25% of the hash is not enough to be taken seriously, perhaps 51% will suffice.

Who will do the clone?

I believe the question provides it's own answer.

Negotiating with terrorists? He's a terrorist now? Because of his name? (which I have always thought /bin/laden was absolutely hilarious.)

Yes, it is supposed to be hillarious. DUUUH.
and bitladen as well

Are they really that stupid that we have to explain jokes to them?

Or is it simply that they envy me for my whopping .15 btc a day. And they would pick on anything. Now that's even more pathetic.

10% may be high, easily negotiated. Also, did you not read the part about WHERE the money would go? Certainly not into his hands directly, and not into the hands of a singularly controlled account at all. So to say we're negotiating with a terrorist is pretty far fetched in almost every way.

As I pointed out earlier, its not really that high.
And let's assume we do get so big, that we are gathering millions for the dev fund. That's alright, then we can compete with big companies, and crush them.

I would love nothing more than crush google. I just was hoping you guys could help. Not now, but MAYBE ... in the future.
Or is this also blasphemy to pick on google now?

We agreed on something, bitladen Wink

If you cared to read my post, you would see that we never have been in disagreement.

I have.

So you are ready to share some of the improved stuff you have developed if there is not a "NO" from the community?

As soon as rewards increase, I consider you my friends. Not before.

There are 2 ways to do this: make the reward changes or pump the price. That's truly up to you.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 04:29:26 AM

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 04:28:20 AM
Bitladen shouldn't be executive concerning those funds. He will be a dev among others, working and showing his skills. With time, his and others contributions will add to the coin and change it.

I never asked for that.
But for some reason you would like me to be eager to please. Well I'm NOT. I make .15btc a day with 2PB. Doesn't make me eager at all, hence I don't seek to please you (you as in the community).
Without the reward change I can't imagine that I ever will. As in, I doubt the coin value will go 10x sometime in the future, or even 5x. I can only see it falling, and with rewards decreasing as well, a miner can only hope for the hashrate to drop, which is not sustainable, due to the 51% attack vulnerability.

So indeed, let's not play stupid. Alright?
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 04:22:25 AM
If we will get this to work, it will not be 15 bucks. Don't play stupid.

Indeed, let's not play stupid. What if you don't get it to work. Then all the work would be for free?
As stated in my proposal, the dev funds will go to a member you all trust, not to me. In case you might think that.

And should some of that money ever be awarded to me, that's not for me to decide. You might as well hire somebody else once you get a decent dev fund, and get rid of me. In fact that's why I came up with the idea in the first place.

And from the current $15 amount to a huge amount it's a long way. Huge would be what? $5000? Even that's not huge, you can hire 15-30 good devs with that. Should you ever reach that point, you could use that kind of dev team. There would be lots of work to be done.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 04:14:26 AM
Ok I have a hardcore idea listen up:

1) The dev or a more sr. member here starts a crowfunding to collect 2-3 bitcoins
2) The person then starts a sig campaign on this forum for full members & above advertising BURST, the BURST forum, or the BURST site, or all 3 of them
3) Tons of new investors/participants/speculators will be interested, and price will be pumped probably above 100 satoshi
4) Miner reward problem resolves, as now miners will be more profitable, more will come, and 51% attack will be unlikely

What do you think people?

(Otherwise just keep buying BURST & its ASSETS)

This isn't a bad idea, however it still leaves us without someone who will be willing to commit to future core development of the coin. Not a bad idea tho, and we might do this regardless to test it out.

Not that I'm against it, but I do fail to see how this would work. Spamming the forum about BURST will make people buy it, do I understand this correctly?
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 04:09:21 AM
1. No mining account was ever about 28% ... thats quite far away from 51% ...
2. BurstDev, never said that he quit! True, he did not respond for a few weeks.
3. NO PREMINE, 5% reward reduce, thats the contract i signed :-)
(Sending a % from every block to a whatever account is a 'premine')

It's not a premine as the devs during more than a year proven their dedication and ability to innovation.

To take further steps will need funds.

And contracts can be negotiated. Wink 10% or what ever is way too much.

But did you do the math before making this statement?
.10*5400*360*.00000032*240=14.9299200000

A whopping $15 a day. I must withdraw from this contest, I'm sure you can find lots of developers willing to work for $15 a day, or as you say, even for less. You don't need me at all.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 04:06:52 AM
You might be a botnet master, but you surely do not have a master in communication. Learn the basics. This is purely embarrassing for you.

Quoting myself: "Contribute and you shall be accepted".

better yet, don't accept me and be destroyed. even if I don't attack, you're doing a great job destroying yourselves.

So you are really not ready to reconsider your standpoint that the coin needs you no matter what? Well, the coin might need you. in some degree or a whole lot, but you have +90% of the community against you.

How to change that, the botnet master might ask? Start showing what you have to offer the community, and the community will follow if you do what you promise.

BTW, for every considerable progress you provide, I can promise a well-spread PR (talk to crowetic for details).

Only 90% against me that's kinda low. I'm sure I can achieve 100%.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 03:54:58 AM

1) I think this is a big mistake Bitladen made and, if implemented, can have negative effects on the confidence on the leadership. However, I see no problem that he shows his other side and contribute with his technical knowledge. As he obviously have a botnet, all features he contributes to have to reviewed extensively; I don't want my machines to be part of his network.

I never said I had a botnet. What if I do? In any case I am neither confirming nor denying it.

But let's get one thing clear, it's you who need my help. If you ask me nicely I will help. You are in no position to be demanding me anything.

You have a dying coin, you need help. I can provide. You have my terms, take it or leave it.
And yes, please do review my code, or anybody else's for that matter, before you run it on your machine.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 03:32:15 AM
So it becomes dead coin - a replacement coin will pop up, and we miners switch. If you want to do good for this coin, stop threatening to kill it, and offer something to boost it

That's great, I would favor a replacement, if the situation isn't fixed.

I did offer a solution, you firmly rejected it. I assume you have a better one. Do you?

FYI, I was not concerned by my earnings, I stopped being concerned about burst earnings a long time ago, it's a joke for me. I was merely concerned about the other miners. I would like people to get their ROI, as burst lives up to it's name. Nonetheless, should I get 51% I will not hesitate to take control of the blockchain. I might have pretended I don't have it if I was making profit out of burst, but I'm not. I'm still honestly trying to help. You should know. And you turning against me, is something of a disappointment.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 08, 2015, 03:11:41 AM
pinball, that's quite a theory there.
you left out one aspect. when hashrate goes low enough i will be waiting there and take over the network.
then you will have to mine with 0 reward against me until maybe you can overpower me. until then other miners will get 0. explain the economics of this. why it should work

You get 51%, we request delisting from the exchanges - you have all the burst that can't be traded anywhere. You just killed the coin. congrats.

then im out of .15 btc a day. i will be crushed.
i'd love to see that actually. you will crush the holders, then it's time for a better clone

So build a better clone. We're not turning this coin into BitLaden/Coin

that's too bad, because the alternative is deadcoin, that's what you're turning it into.
besides haitch, I had respect for you. you just lost it. is that a wise thing to do?
