281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 19, 2023, 07:45:49 PM
The Australian Government once said about abolishing gambling ads as a means of reducing gambling activities amongst underage people. But, I think they'll be no successful way of stopping young people from gambling.

It's not about a complete stoppage as it seems impossible to happened as long as gambling there is legal, but what matters there is, the gambling activity for underage or minors will be reduced. It's good to see such country having a focus on that problem rather than doing nothing.

I thought about, how come or who thought these kids about betting money during a long argument. I was able to memorize, back when I was a kid. We easily said, how much would you bet if it turns out I'm saying the truth; during an argument. It made me understand that, despite during those days we had no phones or access to the internet, gambling is somehow embedded to the brain of humans.

I understand the situation. As you mentioned, during those days when having phones or the internet was not a thing, as a kid, I was already involved in gambling without even seeing ads related to it, seeing adults doing that thing, or anything.

It's a common thing to encounter while we grow up that's why it's totally nonsense to me to hide gambling from kids since that will just make them curious. But look at me, even though I was involved in gambling during my youngster days I didn't end up irresponsible. It's because of our natural common sense where we know what's right or wrong.

I do believe that those kids that do some kiddy gambling activity like the one you shared on your story are just for entertainment and there is no way they will treat gambling seriously at that age. The purpose of those kids in the story is to determine who's right between and not to earn money out from that betting.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Crypto gambling on: October 14, 2023, 10:24:02 PM
Does anyone here really utilize these online crypto casinos to place bets in bitcoin and have you had much luck with it? What have you found to give you the best odds in winning? Is there any skill involved in any of their games or is it all purely chance?

Yes, there are lots of people who already won a huge amount in gambling. Are they lucky? Yes.

It won't be called gambling if everything is that easy to achieve. Though luck is really necessary to win big, there are gambling types where strategies can be applied such as sports betting, card games, sports, and any types of strategy-based games. In these games, you are not relying purely on luck but there's a method where you can increase your winning chances.

If you are asking what gambling type gives most gamblers the best odds of winning, and you will follow it for the sake of testing your luck, that's a wrong move. You should choose a gambling type that you feel comfortable playing with. We are risking our money here that's why at least you have an interest in what you are gambling for.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 14, 2023, 10:00:55 PM
TNT Katropa might not depend their crown as they are having these personal issues of their players. Pogoy out, then there is this rumors that Mikey Williams won't be back in the PBA as he might be pasturing a greener pasture in Japan, these not sounds good to coach Jolas.

Roger Pogoy having that medical condition will be undoubtedly bad for Coach Jolas. But for Mikey Williams? I should say Coach Jolas won't mind him even how good that player is because he settles for a player with good behavior rather than just allowing Mikey to do what he likes because he thinks he's the superstar for the team.

Remember when Coach Jolas was vocal about the unprofessionalism of Mikey Williams before? Even though he's the star of the team, a 1-week suspension was taken in motion to M. Williams. Even way before that, Williams did really show some boastful attitude during the re-signing with TNT several seasons ago.

Talking about Pogoy, he's one of the best cagers in the TNT. I even think no one from the team can even fill the space that he will leave.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it easy to trust someone? on: October 14, 2023, 09:08:24 PM
It's not a problem for me since I do have a friend or family that I can trust with that important matter.

I'm grateful that I have these kinds of people who I believed won't do some bullshit on me especially when it comes to money. But I know in reality and it really exists in most parts of the globe that there are families and even close friends that have a history of distrust even how solid the relationship is just because of money.

Anyway, I do have someone who knows where my personal keys are stored such as PINs, bank account passwords, and even Seedphrase. Even if I will bet my life on it, nothing bullshit will happen to my private belongings because of that said person I have mentioned. I do understand though that there are people who have trust issues toward someone because of a bad experience.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 14, 2023, 08:57:47 PM
However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins, so I do conclude that an online gambling site with good reputation is the best for gambler, so what do you guys have to say about this?.

Nah, that case doesn't have to do with online gambling being the best for most gamblers. We can't generalize that physical betting is not the best to consider for most gamblers as both have pros and cons and gamblers have different considerations.

That story of yours might be an isolated case or that gambling shop is not a registered business.

I don't find any advantage of the owner running away since if the business is legit, they have the ability to cover all the winnings and since they are registered, running away does mean the owners just put a danger on their name of being a wanter person.

If the said business is not registered or legit, then I think the obvious ones to blame on that story are the gamblers themselves.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 14, 2023, 08:47:18 PM
I feel you, OP. Even though there's already an obvious sign that something wrong is happening and my luck is not around the corner, I'm still trying to push for it and hope that it will be another way around and later on, mostly ended up wrecked. And it doesn't stop there, even if luck is not on my side, will still push for it and will deposit another round and the same result.

I don't know but there's something really pushing us to play more even though there are lots of signs already that we won't make it this round.

But after a rest of 1 or 2 days, I can assure you that there's something like luck replenishment and the fun will start again. Just a repeated cycle indeed.
287  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Discussion]Business idea gamit ang Bitcoin on: October 14, 2023, 08:05:07 PM

Later on, gawing makinang ang crypto payment sa business by also accepting other cryptocurrencies (although optional lang naman since focus mo is Bitcoin at nabanggit mong doon ka mag savings).

Although we know the risk of using it, just stick with the reputable ones.

May mga business idea ba kayo na maganda iapply ang Bitcoin? Any idea even insane idea. Walang criticism but make sure na tanggap nyo na maaaring gamitin ng kabayan natin dito yung shared idea nyo.[/b]

I think every business will do kasi ang purpose is more payment method para mas maabot ang convenience ng mga tao.

Kahit kaunti lang ang gumamit ng bitcoin payment method basta tuloy-tuloy lang sa pag include ng payment method na yan no matter what.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 14, 2023, 07:42:04 PM
Making gambling a full time job might be seen as risky but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.

What do you all think?

There are people who are able to turn their gambling career into a successful one. Those are truly skilled and they built that for years.

But that good fortune can't be applied to everyone that's why considering gambling as a full-time job sounds horrible.

It's not that easy to accomplish without a unique skill of our own since gambling requires our own money to start with. How come it can be considered a full-time job if in the first place, we need to risk our own money just to earn from it and our success rate depends only on luck?
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 14, 2023, 07:13:35 PM
In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?

Looking for suggestions about that?

I must say that should be a personal decision and you should have your own approach to that.

Gamblers have different financial status therefore, most suggestions might not suit you or technically, can't applied to your situation.

It's not that gamblers continue to gamble just for the sake of covering the losses, gamblers have different reasons why they continue. Now ask yourself, what's your reason to gamble? Can your source of income or revenue keep up with your gambling habit regardless of the reason?
290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common mistakes by unskilled traders on: October 14, 2023, 06:41:07 PM
Many newbie and crypto enthusiastic think trading is easy until they lose on the first day, 1 week,1month, 1year and they finally quit.
Remember trading requires not just strategy, but discipline

Seeing newbies having traits that are not appropriate for trading? Of course, they are newbies.

If these newbies were able to earn a good amount on their early traders, expect them to have a mindset that trading is easy, bearable, not that difficult to learn, not that challenging, easy money, quick profits, and their mind will only fill with positive thoughts even it's unrealistic.

As they lose, especially on a losing streak, if these traders are really eager to continue their trading career, they will now understand that something is wrong and their approach will now be changed into something much more disciplined and very well-planned. Unfortunately, there are people who after a series of losses in trades, will decide to quit and give up.

Experience always starts at losing that's why it's better for me to see newbies having a tough run while they progress.
291  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Educational plan sa Bitcoin o Insurance? on: October 14, 2023, 06:22:50 PM

For me, parang di appropriate kung pipili between educational plan o Bitcoin kasi in the first place, magkaiba ang purpose technically kaya natin sila kinonsider sa ating mga financial plans. Kung kaya naman silang pagsabayin, why not? Although pag may educational plan, talagang dapat isapuso ang desisyon na kumuha nyan dahil di rin biro ang monthly payment at as much as possible, walang mintis sa pagbayad.
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 13, 2023, 10:58:51 PM
We can't really say when our luck will come to us that's why if that happens, then take advantage of it.

I'm not that really unlucky when doing gambling but my winnings are not that can be considered a jackpot. What matters here is, that I continue winning over losing streak. If ever a huge jackpot finally comes to me, I will admit not to stop gambling but still in responsible act.

It's fine to continue gambling after winning a jackpot as long as the money is used in a proper way.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 13, 2023, 10:35:21 PM
While keeping ourselves involved in gambling in the long run, we will automatically know the ways to protect our bankroll.

Knowing the basics is good but for newbies to understand everything, they need to feel the pressure once they are involved in gambling for real.

We should at least expect our common sense to do the things for us that don't really need to spoon-feed to us especially when it involves protection, security, and anything related to that in gambling. As we build gambling experience, we should know how to deal with that kind of gambling-related concern in the long run.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 13, 2023, 10:22:15 PM
What matters is, that these people are shifting their interest to something less risky as long as on the way, they manage not to make things worse.

For example, from addiction to gambling, the interest shifted to addiction to gadgets. Even though they spend lots of money purchasing several gadgets compared to what they spend during their gambling addiction, the benefits and advantages are still used by these people since they actually don't lose their money without anything good in return unlike in gambling where they literally lose money, and in return, they will end up regrettable on what they did.

Cross-addiction will just be bad if in some case, the worst just become worse in the long run.
295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade only Bitcoin on: October 13, 2023, 10:00:13 PM
Trading is a lifetime skill that is always beneficial if you know what you are doing, the biggest mistake of traders is trading alt that most times doesn't obey market structure,
when it comes to cryptocurrency, trade only Bitcoin.
Bitcoin doesn't just give you profit, it gives you security, it obeys market structure, for the past 2yrs I have been trading, I only have losess only when I trading Alt, price action trading I utilize will trading always gives me result when trading Bitcoin, but when it comes to Alt I really do feel as if am gambling, so my fellow traders, trade only Bitcoin, I don't know if anyone feel the same way?

It's not about bitcoin or altcoin obeys the market structure you are talking but trading requires experience to somehow have a good result. Even long-time traders today are still losing therefore just try to keep up with the market volatility as possible as you can.

There are lots of altcoin traders who already made a good profit from altcoin trading. If they can, you can also have the same result.

In the meantime, since you do feel not comfortable with altcoin trading, it's good to stay away from it. Until such time that you are ready to take your trading career into an advanced stage, you can now do altcoin trading while doing bitcoin trading at the same time.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 13, 2023, 09:36:49 PM
I understand the feeling but contrary to what happened OP, I have never lost my focus on work while gambling at the same time.

Actually, I always play whenever I'm working. I admit that there's a time it can be a distraction but it doesn't mean I'm not fully focusing on my work. I can even settle all my daily tasks even while gambling. Maybe it depends on the person and how to deal with it.

It's just that, there's a thing called "boredom" while working and you want something to energize you.

Just make sure that when there's a meeting or what, refrain from gambling in the meantime lol.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My dice strategy for quick 1.5x on: October 13, 2023, 09:02:55 PM
You can make a quick 1.50x if you want to risk your bankroll or you can set stop loss to protect your bankroll. I once doubled my bankroll but after losing 3-4 bets in a row i lost it all,
sometimes that losing streak of 3 in a row comes in initial bets sometimes it takes time,
and the longer you play, the more likely that losing streak of 3 will come.

A quick 1.5x of the whole bankroll or just a 1.50x per bet amount?

Seriously, do you want to increase the bet amount by 300% each time you lose a round? Aside from calling that strategy a quick way to achieve a 1.5x, it's also a quick way to lose your bankroll lol. I don't see something different or special with that strategy there.

Anyway, if that strategy of yours is effective for you, then good for you. Good luck using that in the long run.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 13, 2023, 08:44:33 PM
And typically how long will it take before the addict starts to feel more in control and less withdrawal symptoms?

There's no definite period or duration of the effectiveness of that therapy since it requires the cooperation of the gambler.

Even how serious the process applied, depends on the gambler on how long they can withstand the temptation of gambling.

You will find some general answers to that question via Google search or ask directly a gambling rehabilitation center near you.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 08, 2023, 11:47:46 PM

Casimero is only in the rank 7. If anyone deserves the shot to a title, it's Luis Nery but even him was skipped by Innoue all for unification. There is a possibility that Inoue will move to 126 lbs and probably skip all but challenge Robeisy Ramirez. After all, he already beat Fulton which is below Robeisy so fighting Fulton I think is more of a strategy to get the WBO belt from Robeisy.

Too much hype for Luis Nery. He will just be eaten alive by Naoya Inoue if they will face off. Nery was being skipped by Inoue? Definitely no. Inoue is not like that but it's om his promoter that is arranging the fight. It's just that Nery is likely prohibited to fight in Japan (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Nery is just full of talk. I don't see him a good match for Inoue.

Marlon Tapales is the most reasonable boxer that Inoue should face and it now happened. Casimero will soon catch up but to become a champion again regardless of who will be his opponent at that time.

I think Nery will be too small for Inoue though, although Nery has the power to knockout anyone at this weight, but he hasn't face a fighter with a caliber of Inoue. For me, it's better if we will see Nery vs Casimero, two trash talker and had power and see who will be the last man standing.

Inoue should focus first on Marlon Tapales, although we wanted to support him as a big underdog, but we really haven't seen a boxer close to defeat Inoue. Only Nonito was able to almost beat Inoue in their first encounter, very close fight and Donaire broke Inoue's orbital bone. But after that, Inoue level up and knockout everyone he fights, including a rematch with the Filipino Flash.

No offense to Nery fans around but I really stand on my view that Nery is just a full talk here in the 122 lbs division.

Of course, to be able to be considered in a big fight, he will throw words on the dominant boxers here, especially against Naoya Inoue where he calls the Japanese "he's not a monster" and states that he will defeat Inoue if they will face off. Too much confidence is like being arrogant.

I hope that if there's a chance that Nery will face Inoue in the future, he will experience kissing the canvas thru Inoue's deadly punch.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: October 08, 2023, 11:37:13 PM
The outcome of the majority of casino games is mostly controlled by luck rather than ability. Examples that are often used include craps, roulette, and slot machines. Players wager on numerous outcomes in these games, and the casino has an inherent advantage that ensures they will profit in the long term.
Casino gaming is a popular source of entertainment. Instead of looking at it as a means of making money, players should approach it with the intention of having fun.

Yes, I won't argue that casino games are a game of chance. That's why it became a form of entertainment for anyone since when luck hit us, expect an amazing experience that we won't forget even if we count for several years especially if that's a decent and really a huge win.

It's very obvious that treating gambling as a form of making money is the worst idea. Making money out of luck is a risky thing to do.

Don't dare to make gambling a source of income. Not all people have a fortunate future out of doing that.
We all have that friend or have been that friend who's been enticed by the big prize. Lights, sounds, that momentary thrill... All part of the experience. It keeps casinogoers coming back. Right, making it your income? Just asking for problems.

I've seen people dive into gambling expecting it'll be their golden goose. However, for every millionaire, numerous others have lost everything. It's cyclical. Win a bit, get excited, lose more, chase that loss, etc.

What if, just what if, there was a way to teach discipline in gambling? Would that alter the outcome? Probably not, but a thought.

Just go with the flow of the situation then. We all know that gamblers do have different reasons why they gamble.

Either they consider gambling as a form of money-making or entertainment, only they know. What we need to do is just act on our own and always be responsible at our actions while doing gambling. Even there are gamblers who are losing lot in gambling, they are still on their right mind to act properly.

Just take it easy. Gambling is a game of luck and being aggressive to win here is not a good idea.
