Bitcoin is always safer than ALT coins so trading with bitcoins will have less chance of loss but there are some ALT coins that I don't think would be too bad to invest in. Everything will depend on the trading skills, if you have perfect trading skills then it is possible to make good money by trading in ALT coins.  

I have always preferred Bitcoin for long term investment, and I believe that no coin can beat Bitcoin for long term investment, but in some cases I have noticed that trading ALT coins is relatively more profitable than Bitcoin.  

It is possible to invest the same amount of capital only the risk is slightly higher. If we can accept the risk then surely we can make profit by trading ALT coins as well.

I am not an expert trader,  but when I tried trading some months back,  I was making a good profit from a particular coin but not Bitcoin and as a long the line I decided to dive into multiple coins trading and at that point I lost my entire capital,  why am I saying this is because trading a single pair is more safer than trading multiple pairs.

Bitcoin is the most. Suitable in that regard and at that we all will look into that to be able to prove how safe it is to trade only assets that have less volatility like bitcoin.

Do what is best for you. But I noticed that I make profit more when I trade altcoins but I choose few because most are very risky. I will not encourage anyone to trade altcoins because they are very volatile. I use very small amount for altcoins and I do not use leverage.

Many people trade altcoins because of their high volatility, they follow market movements, particularly those altcoins with poor returns and reputations in the crypto market. They can readily multiply by ten or more due to minor market changes induced by their developers or market trends. They consider it as a get rich quick coin while trading it and ignore the danger involved, which is negligible when they invest in bitcoin instead.

I so much believe all what you said about bitcoin, and also about alt coin. I have a friend which I told to invest in bitcoin and he told me that he prefers to invest in other coins than bitcoin, he said bitcoin is too expensive that the money he got to invest will only purchase small bitcoin but if its alt coin he will have many of the coin. I try to convinced him that what point will it make by having large quantity of coin without value than having just little with high value. People practicing alt are those that thing cryptocurrency is also gambling because the don't invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin is the reliable and trustworthy coin that never force anyone to commit suicide. It's a relief investment.

High risk will get high return and low risk automatically with low return, its comparison when priority trading with Bitcoin or altcoin, actually many trader still trade with altcoin because have high profitable than have to trade with Bitcoin and small fund not enough to earn much profit as short or long term trade. Not really difficult if amount $300 for trading in altcoin to earn profit above $20 until $60 around 20% profitable with altcoin but need waiting more than one or two months to see Bitcoin have progress up above 20%. If have much fund better and more recommended with trading in bitcoin but have fund under $1k better trade in altcoin but looking for an altcoin have top standings place in CMC and not try with shit or meme coin for trading.

The same way investing in many coins can be dangerous, and not as profitable as investing in just bitcoins, trading many and random cryptocurrency is not still the proper way to trade cryptocurrency, and may not also be as profitable as when you as a trader decide to focus on trading majorly bitcoins. Smart traders know that trading bitcoin is the best choice, but they sometimes trade other cryptocurrencies because they can, and they make profit from it. You will not be a smart trader to know that you can trade other cryptocurrency and make profit from it, but decide to just limit yourself to bitcoins alone. Sincerely trade according to your expertise. If you know you can do it, go for it! If you still have doubts, then play it safe and focus mainly on bitcoins.

The volatility of each coin varies, with Bitcoin having the lowest volatility. Trading simply Bitcoin would be preferable if you wanted to trade more safely, but the potential gain would be lesser than with altcoins. Trading alternative coins is the only way to increase your chances of receiving a significant reward, but since alternative coins are very volatile, you must be careful with your trades and it is wise to increase the size of your stop loss because volatile coins are more vulnerable to manipulation. Before you trade, you must screen a coin and backtest it.

It's just that maybe you are not used to trading altcoins. You can't just come here and advise anyone to only trade Bitcoin.

I disagree that the biggest mistake of traders is trading altcoins. You should already expect that most altcoins don't obey market structure like you are saying because from the start crypto is too volatile and most altcoins are driven by the hype. It's not wrong to get carried away by those altcoins as long as you know what you are doing.

Simple and basic, if you don't know how to trade altcoins, then don't touch it until you gain knowledge.

If you are already satisfied with trading Bitcoin, then just continue what you are doing.

It's hard to figure out trading only with Bitcoin, since it has a higher value compared from the last 5 years. So, the only options I got was to invest with altcoins but there's no greater assurance to acquire huge profit because it's more volatile than bitcoin.
Many projects link with different tokens, has a bad reputation due to scammers took advantage with the ico projects and several so called legit platform that don't exist in the market.
Much better, it we only focused with bitcoin while the value was cheaper instead of having some alternatives that has no assurance in the future.

If trading only bitcoin for you works then that's how you should keep with. But if you're encouraging people to trade what works for you, that's also fine but you'll not know what works for them perfectly. So, if trading altcoin/bitcoin and other tradable assets in the market works for them, then they have to keep with it as well.

Secondly, the biggest mistake isn't that Altcoins don't obey market structure but it's the strategy and mostly trading all assets available out there such that you can not master their behaviour...to counter this bad habit as traders we need to limit ourselves to a maximum of 3 assets so that we get a better understanding of price moves and what external factors influence them the most and see your winning rate go up.

This obey market structure line is a no no no for me as this depends on the strategy and not the asset. If you can trade Bitcoin then you can trade anything, be it future's, currencies, etcetera...

If that's how you looked between Bitcoin trading and Altcoin trading, you can stand your position with that.

But honestly, the majority don't have that same feeling as you as most traders not just deal with Bitcoin trading but also Altcoin trading. I don't know the reason why you ended up thinking that altcoin trading suc*s but maybe I will assume that before you are mostly driven by the hype by these altcoins and ended up being late in action and that results in you feeling disappointed and regret.

Well then, just do your very best at the stuff you have chose, which is Bitcoin trading.

Trading must be done in Bitcoin because Bitcoin always goes up and down in the market. I see a lot of buying low and selling high. And you can rest assured when trading Bitcoin because its market will definitely go up in the future. Alt coins disappear from the market leaving traders completely destitute and empty portfolios.
For example, a few days ago, FTX and other coins disappeared from the market. There too I was busy investing some wealth and trading. So I have not faced any loss trading Bitcoin till date.

It is clear because most of the altcoins just correlate with Bitcoin. That's why the trading volume on Bitcoin is extremely high it is the only trading pair right now that trading volume is high versus other altcoins.
Some whales also mostly trade only Bitcoin pairs.

Pretty much. Most alts are ponzi schemes because there are not enough people believe in these projects. So when an alt pumps to a ridiculous price, it dumps even harder because the whale that holds a big stake in the project dumps everything he has. They do that because they don’t believe in the future of the project. Bitcoin is not like that obviously. Since bitcoin is the first and the original cryptocurrency, even if some people dumps it, there will always be a strong support on the buying side. That doesn’t mean all alts are trash though. Some of them pretty decent but i still don’t see a reason to waste time on them.

What exactly do you mean by "market structure"? You mean a certain pattern? Well, none of the crypto currencies follows that certain structure. Not even bitcoin. And that's why we say that crypto currencies are very volatile and unpredictable. But, yes, I do agree that bitcoin is less volatile when compared to altcoin, specially coins that are not well known. When trading bitcoin, there is less risk associated. Chances of you losing everything is low. But it doesn't mean that you won't lose anything. When trading altcoins , you will be taking more risk, but the profit is also higher when if you can take advantage of the volatility. But I wouldn't say alt coin trading/investing is gambling, unless you don't know what you are doing.
