I do have a question on how do I know the wallet is staking? as there is no icon in the bottom corners that tells me the estimate time to earn a stake like other POS coin wallets do. What new downloaded wallet ? Where is the link ? I still have the only one and I'm minting just fine. It's reached 8 days maturity so now I must just wait a little longer. You must click on mint to see if you minting. There is no weight it uses coin age. I'm not sure what is the best amount of coins to have per month though. Updated wallet some of the improvements include, front logo, a block browser, updated checkpoint, updated qt5, and auto sync functionality. windows version

We've reached a new market cap high over $100,000 and we're nearing a year since release. The circulating supply is only around 240 million, not many alt coins have managed to be this stable, this was a plan designed to ensure increased growth over a long period of time. A long term currency designed for a long term community   Things look great for 808! This round of wallet updates are about wrapped up, one thing we could use is a nice front image for the wallet gui. Right now the update does have an image added to the front but its nothing fancy just "808". I can change it to something nicer if anyone has an image. A more complete gui makeover can be worked on for the next round of updates, this round has more technical focus. |

What does this mean?
Does it mean that you get per day:
800/365 = 2.2% coin rewards
And
one time 17% after 8.08days of staking the coins in your wallet?

Yes but they can stake again after each additional 8.08 days. You will need a large amount to have the best chance of staking quickly. 1 million 808 will stake quickly after it becomes eligible at the current difficulty. Smaller amounts may take longer and you will earn an additional 2.2% per day but lose out on some compounding. After you stake(your block will split in 2) you can use coin control (enable under advanced settings) select your blocks and send them to yourself to this will recombine them into 1 block. Blocks will become eligible to stake again after 8.08 more days. |

For windows you are looking for the appdata roaming 808 folder, create a 808.conf file here and then put your addnode list in it. In the upcoming 808 update i will include a built in node, it will take care of this. Thanks for the info as I'm about to download the wallet but for now I'll wait until this update is complete so then I don't have to worry about adding a conf file. Do you have a time frame on when this update will be complete? as I want to start staking this coin and make up for lost stakes on POSWallet. The update should be done in the next few days. It's looking good so far, some general updates, fixes, checkpoint, built in node, maybe some extra candy. |

and why blocks with more coins have bigger "mintprobability"?
Info in the minting tab can often be inaccurate. However you can enable coin control and look at your Send tab, select inputs, select list mode, sort by confirmations. This allows you to see what blocks are the oldest and ready to stake (they have coindays) . To take advantage of compounding and earn your stakes the quickest, combine all the blocks into one. When they stake they will split into 2 blocks, quickly recombine them and start the next stake period. Think of amount 808 in your block as your mining power, it will have greater mintprobibility and likely stake quicker. Proof of stake has a mining difficulty system so the amount of 808 needed to stake quickly changes. From recent posts i would say its a fair bet 1 million 808 will stake on the 8-9th day(almost immediately when its eligible). thanks for the info! one more question: in the coin control window after i select all the blocks and click ok and than going back to the send coins window, so in "Pay to" i need to fill my own address and at "amount" the 808 quantity i see at the top which is all the coins from all the blocks i combined and than click send? thanks! massive dumping on cryptopia of 808. Not as bad as I expected. There's still 23 million of stolen money on posw.
Interestingly enough, sprouts doing great on posw as 808ers are transferring to sprouts.
Be sure to leave negative feedback on the posw guys btc talk profiles if they scammed your 808 coins too.
my last msg from them  Removed them from the op. These guys are incompetent scammers. Hate to say it but i am not surprised. This seems to be the pattern for this type of site a simialr one stakeminers also did not work out so well as i recall. These poswallet guys are a joke they dont know to set a reservebalance on the hot wallet loaded with dust, which for a "staking" site is 100% unbelievable and inexcusable they understand the coins so little. |

I expect that if they set reservebalance=10000000 in the config or even set -reservebalance=10000000 on the command line, their client will remain stable. But, given their unhelpful response to a legit customer enquiry, I don't hold out much hope that any of the Cryptopia staff are motivated to do anything helpful. At present, this is an educated guess - if someone with SPRTS deposited on Cryptopia can confirm that the coins have recently staked at their Crytopia deposit address, that would dispel the uncertainty (there's an explorer URL quoted a couple of posts after the one I've referenced above).We seem to have an answer. The problem that Cryptopia is experiencing with the Sprouts client is localised to them and is due to their own ineptitude in failing to configure the client's operation for use on an exchange. Cheers Graham This is also likely why poswallet is having issues, yes they contacted me i told them the obvious set a reservebalance, or sync and then import the .dat. They did not contact me further. So im going to vote with Graham and say its the same issue here as well. Exchanges are staking your coins don't leave them parked on the sale side.. you think the exchange will do anything but dump 100% of them asap? i doubt it. |
