281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SPC - SpikesPrivateCoin - Yobit - Rare coin - 50K Coins on: September 03, 2015, 07:50:21 AM
http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=04727798167105275434

I created SpikesCoin android app(this isn't android wallet). You can set an alarm and you'll get notification if price will fell below the threshold you set.  It shows current price from yobit and 24h high and low. There are also most basic informations about the coin and list of items from spc shop.  Maybe it will be useful for someone.  Smiley

Thanks for making this app! I'm going to set it to go off when the price gets under 30k so I can fill my bags back up.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SPC - SpikesPrivateCoin - Yobit - Rare coin - 50K Coins on: September 03, 2015, 07:33:13 AM

I just got done talking to JSpike on slack and he sold me serial number #000 of the watches. I'm getting a BTC face for #000. I'm going to buy a Spike face as soon as I buy some more SPC on yobit.

Here's my payment of 1500 SPC: 2b153403c0d5f9518eae62a8ce054659becd8d07f1660f84288e2eb1145e17c7

When I get 1500 more, I'm getting serial #001 and I'm going to make it a Spike face. The rest of you slow pokes are going to have to settle for #002 or later.  Cheesy

And JSpike is going to cryptographically authenticate watches for every buyer who wants it. That way when you go to get it appraised in 5 years, there will be no doubt you have a genuine SPIKE watch!

You have the wrong coin. You can't mine it. Time to stop drinking so you can think straight.

That's awesome! We've had two great pieces of news in less than 24 hours and 8.8 BTC of volume on yobit!
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SPC - SpikesPrivateCoin - Yobit - Rare coin - 50K Coins on: September 02, 2015, 05:24:02 AM
Looking good... Are you the first seller of Cryptocurrency watches... I do not see these anywhere... Great job and looking forward to the full website

Yes these are the original crypto watches. Spike told me about this in the slack and I thought they were going to be plastic. But these are leather bands with alloy bodies, and the back panel is going to have "SPC".

These will be as collectible in 2 or 3 years as Casascius physical coins are today.

Get the first run watches while you can.

Anybody can write a small manual to dummies for the pump feature??

I remembered your question and found something written by Grandpa when I went looking for the interest rates.

Tonight I give an update because I finished my latest to-do item, which is to automate the transaction that joins the pump group. It took a while, but there are a lot of checks to perform when constructing the transaction from the user and P2P input. For example, the user must have enough balance to pay the pump fee (1 SNRG), the transaction fee (about 0.015 SNRG) and still have a minimum balance (most likely to be set at 200 SNRG).

An unfinished manual for joining a pump follows. I've written it mostly to illustrate my progress. It may seem complicated, but it takes only about 10 seconds to join a pump. Here's the short course:

  • Click "Find Address..." and select an address.
  • Click "Set..." and select a stealth address.
  • Click "Join Pump" and confirm the transaction and fee.

Pump Manual - A Work in Progress

P2P Population of Pump Info

First, just by opening the wallet, and waiting to join the network, several fields on the pump page will be automatically populated. These fields are (1) The starting date for the ongoing pump (top panel), (2) the starting date for the next pump (bottom panel), (3) the entry fee for the next pump, and (4) the minimum balance to join the next pump (minus the entry and transaction fees to join, which should be about 1.015 SNRG total). These values come from the P2P messaging system. Another value from the P2P messaging system is the pump group Synergy address to which the user sends the entry information and fee.

I present the entirety of the pump page, missing values in only three fields in the top panel (the pick, the address that the user registered for the ongoing pump, and the minimum balance this address has had since the pump began). Populating these fields through P2P messaging and wallet inspection are my next to-do items.

Selecting the Address for Registration

Second the user uses the "Find Address" button to select an address with enough funds to join. Note that this image shows my testing wallet which is a little light on the funds at the moment.

Selecting the Stealth Address for Encrypted Communication through the Block Chain

Delivering the pick and other info to the user must be asynchronous and private. Asynchrony means that the user should not be required to have a wallet open at the precise time the pump information is communicated (although it might be a good idea). To satisfy both this constraint and the need for privacy, the pick will be communicated with an encrypted message using a secret key known only to the sender (the pump coordinator) and receiver (pump registrant, or user). Stealth Addresses enable the necessary functionality to create this encrypted message on the block chain, where it can be read at the convenience of the registrant. The user selects the Stealth Address using the "Set..." button in the lower panel.

Joining the Pump

Once the registering address and stealth address are set, the user joins the pump by clicking the "Join Pump" button. This button sends a transaction that is constructed behind the scenes. The transaction has a lot of information: the registration address, the stealth address, and the pump in which the user is registering. Since it is a sending transaction, the user is asked to confirm the send.

If the user confirms, typical transaction operations ensue. If the wallet is locked, the user will be prompted for a password to unlock for this transaction. The user must also approve the fee for the transaction, which is a little higher than typical because about 140 bytes of extra information is placed into a public transaction comment. This information need not be identifying. The user is recommended to make a new stealth address for the purpose of joining the pump group.

It is possible to inspect the transaction to join the pump by double-clicking the transaction in the transaction history tab. Notice that the transaction comment has information that is visible in the bottom panel of the pump page. As mentioned earlier, the recipient address comes from P2P messaging.

Dev talked about raising the pos stake reward to 40% per year. Has that been implemented yet? If it has, what block # does it fork?

Vegas

It's already 40% per year. I think he bumped it on the last update to 160%! I don't know what block number it will kick in at.

That's not how it works with a small cap coin. The volume drops after the price drops with small cap. Big cap coins are different. But there's a lot more to it than just volume.

Of course there is, but please stop fudding.

Do you understand what "FUD" is?  YOU have been the one here posting negative, bullshit comments (ie. FUD), nobody else.  It's you.

Quit being a troll.

I think it's a language thing. He's probably just overly concerned about every little price movement. I miss buys and sells all the time, but if a coin has a consistent upward push like this one, there's a lot less to worry about. If you miss a sell and the price drops, buy a little. If you want profit, just wait until it goes up again.

After that last update, I quit worrying about how this coin is going to do. I know it will do well from here even if it's too slow for some of the people around here who like to lose money as fast as they make it.

Warning ! Volume is dropping!

why you dont support coin?  why do you troll here like this?

not the way to be helpful.  its time you go away.

I don't troll cause every time volume drops, price drops soon. Don't you know how to trade  Shocked

The Future: Several Weeks for a Major Update

Just as a notification, my big development updates may slow for the coming weeks. I am working on a significant update that will greatly exceed what I have done with the pump group. However, I am not able to reveal what it is for several reasons. I will be present as we organize pumps, seek out bugs and make some minor updates we have planned. Hopefully I have gained the community's trust with my productivity so far, so please be patient between major pushes to the repository and keep in mind that we will have minor updates in the interim.

Did anyone else notice this "I am working on a significant update that will greatly exceed what I have done with the pump group." That sounds major. If it were some junk developer from shitcoindark, I'd roll my eyes. But after Grandpa rolled out that cool turbo stake page and now the pump group page, I believe what he says. I hope someone dumps a lot because I want to fill my bags before things start heating up.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SNRG] 🔥 Synergy 🔥 Grandpa's Decentralized Pump Group | New Update | Bittrex on: August 26, 2015, 10:25:33 PM
why the price is still down? Because we have beta release?

The price is down? Turn your monitor back right side up.

What I mean it would be at least 50-70 K.

There's no doubt that 50-70k should be the floor after the output that Grandpa has shown. But that's how natural growth goes. It's slower than pump and dump. I just hope the decentralized pump group works out the door. Then we'll see the price get to something that makes more sense.

I've spent two days tracking down this "bug" that prevents the pick from appearing in the GUI interface. It turns out to be user error. The embarrassing thing is that it is my user error. I have been manually sending the picks because I haven't automated that part of the process yet. In doing so, I have used coin control, but have been selecting change addresses inadvertently. Because the user clients do not recognize the change addresses as officially belonging to the pump, the clients will not trust the pick and refuse to display it to the user.

In short: my bad.

We continue to test and I will appreciate tremendously participation by beta testers. Please join the slack channel if you would like to test. PM Live4Crypto, who manages it. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Barring any further bugs, I anticipate moving this release out of beta within a few days. In the course of debugging, I have made a couple of minor improvements to the scans, which have already been pushed to the github repository. I will make silent updates to the download links within a day.

Once this release is settled, we will assemble information on how the pump group will work.

Thanks for the explanation. I joined the pump at the bottom of the pump page and got a response transaction after a while. That must have been you. It said what the pump was in the narration column. But you are right, it didn't show up in my pump page at all. I'll try again when I get a chance now that you have it figured out. I'm glad to see it wasn't me and even happier that it's not a real bug.

Pump Group Public Beta Release
v1.2.0.0 - Protocol 62200

I'm happy to say that everything for the beta release is complete. Beta downloads are available at the very top of the OP. The code has been pushed to github. It included about 2,000 lines of new code.

If you want to be a beta tester, please join the slack for instructions. Please PM Live4Crypto with a functional email address to join.

If you have any problems with the beta, just revert to the previous release. The links for which are further down in the OP. Please remember that this is not a stable release.

My to-do list has every item crossed out now. I include it for completeness.

To-Do for Pump Group Release

  • scan for previous registrations to know which stealth transactions will relay the pick for the current pump
  • scan for said stealth transaction and extract the pick information
  • scan transactions belonging to the registration address to report the minimum balance
  • gui refinements (lock input fields for manual entry and other "fool-proofing")
  • full-cycle testing and associated debugging
  • block reward adjustment (assuming consensus for higher rewards remains unchallenged)
  • deployment (versioning, building, & bundling)

It's great to finally see this update! It loads up and everything. The Pump page is snazzy. I had my slack password somewhere but I'm not sure where it is now. Can I just join the pump to see what happens?

I've got the same questions about when the pumps start and how much I need to get. I bought a bunch before that first pump came out of nowhere. Should I get more?
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SNRG] 🔥 Synergy 🔥 Grandpa's Decentralized Pump Group | New Update | Bittrex on: August 23, 2015, 09:54:23 PM
Well, this certainly isn't following the same pattern as what the trolls claim.  No doubt about that.

Not necessarily. The dev still said you could get quick confirmations with zero time. I question the wisdom of that. Zero time is unproven and has some theoretical holes most of which don't seem to be adequately addressed in the whitepaper or any follow up commentary from the dev John Connor.

Now you are the one fudding. Are you saying that Grandpa is following the same pattern as other pump and dump coins?
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SNRG] 🔥 Synergy 🔥 Grandpa's Decentralized Pump Group | New Update | Bittrex on: August 23, 2015, 06:03:44 PM

  • gui refinements (lock input fields for manual entry and other "fool-proofing")
  • full-cycle testing and associated debugging
  • block reward adjustment (assuming consensus for higher rewards remains unchallenged)
  • deployment (versioning, building, & bundling)

Before I get to the update, I would like to mention that, in addition to bumping block rewards, I want to increase the block time, most likely to 4-6 minutes. Block times are currently 2 minutes. I dislike how fast the chain is growing right now. Short block times gained in popularity when it was assumed that quick confirmations might lead to vendor adoption. However, new technology has become available that obviates short block times. Probably the best example is Vanilla Coin's zero time.

Now to the update.

I finished the GUI "fool-proofing", added the new version information, and have done many full-cycle tests successfully. I only need to put in the new block rewards and then build. I should have a beta release (version 1.2.0.0, protocol 62200)  within 24 hours. During the beta testing period, I will streamline the code so that updating the GUI less CPU intensive than it is now. Mostly, I will set up some caching. For example, I presently execute a full search for the pick transaction on every new block. I wrote this code to be very efficient already, but the best behavior is to not make a search if the results are already available.

Users may not notice the improved efficiency because the present behavior is very fast. However, I consider it good practice to reduce the work load on the CPU, if possible.

I also need to provide feedback if a user has already registered for a pump, but I feel like that can wait for the beta testing period. Presently, users will be required to remember if they have already registered. In the future, the registration status will be indicated in the pump page.

I would have loved to have pushed changes to the github repository tonight, but I decided that I should change the block rewards before pushing. I'm certain that in the remote chance that I don't have builds tomorrow, I will be at a stage where I can push the source code changes to the repository.

Interesting change to the longer block times, that's not something you see very often these days exactly for the reason you state.  Makes no sense to me given nobody is gaining the adoption they think they will.  I trust your judgment on this one as I really don't know better.

That part of the update definitely slipped under the ole radar. Long block times are a long term thing right? I mean if you want a pump and dump, don't you just do 20 second block times so everyone convinces themselves that it will be accepted at coffee shops and fast food establishments within a year?
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SNRG] 🔥 Synergy 🔥 Grandpa's Decentralized Pump Group | New Update | Bittrex on: August 23, 2015, 04:36:53 PM

Yeah, the best is now to wait and see how the things will go...
It was interesting to read last few pages, few nice arguments, but I have to agree what olcaytu2005 wrote:
"Did you see that any pump group give ayaw their profit?? They just dump their coins."

I never saw a pump group that didn't pump a coin to get their profits. This one hasn't been pumped yet.

Did anyone notice that the dev made an update yesterday?
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SNRG] 🔥 Synergy 🔥 Grandpa's Decentralized Pump Group | New Update | Bittrex on: August 18, 2015, 07:44:18 AM
I like when I Wake up in the morning and Synergy price climbs up.

Guys, what is your prediction for the price in the next weeks?

BTW I am HODLing...

I don't want to sound like a hyper, but I think it's going to double within 3 weeks. That means we'll see a peak of over 50k and a solid floor at 30k. It's heading for 100k maybe within 2 months if Grandpa keeps it up.

This picture tells the story
