281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: URGENT! Monero transaction blocked for more than 3 hours ! on: March 23, 2019, 11:17:11 PM
You've provided a limited info. Which wallet are you using and its version? This is an important info that you missed to provide.

If the block height is in waiting status, then most likely, your wallet is not fully synced. If you are not using the latest version of your wallet, you should update it first and try again.

Note: don't forget to back up your wallet (files/seeds)
282  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Expocoin confirmed to scam me .03 btc on: March 23, 2019, 07:51:57 AM
You should really fix the chat logs. Really hard to read.

Never heard of the site. Anyway, so what happened was you lend money from shasan's lending service to help someone. Most likely, you don't know this someone (correct me if I'm wrong). You wanted to help him because you will get something in return as he says. If I understand correctly, out of 1.3 BTC he claimed he has, he will give you 1.2 BTC if you deposit. It's already too good to be true if that's the case. **red flag**

This is not only fake gambling sites' tactic to scam, but also online crypto generator, fake online mining sites etc. I agree to @Royse777. This should serve as a lesson to you. Don't fall for this kind of dirty scam trick

Sad to say, but you are the victim of the scam, sashan has nothing to do with it. The loan you got is your reaponsibility. You need to pay no matter what. Sashan will just be a victim if you will not pay if ever (a victim of you and not of the scammer)

Be extra careful next time and wish you good luck in repaying the loan.
283  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova Exchange - Started to Implement KYC to Users on: March 22, 2019, 11:23:56 PM
Deposit and withdrawal is impossible without KYC, I checked.
Atm, unverified users can't deposit until they completed their profile, but are still able to withdraw up to 500 USD. It would be different ofcourse when the account expires. Refer to the update below.

UPDATE: I have received follow up messages about the expiration of account. The expiration date most likely is the same for all unverified users, but not really sure, so check your inbox to confirm. (Important part of the email was in bold)

IMPORTANT: To Old Friends of Nova Exchange. Verifying personal information. Exception to expire soon.

Dearest Customer,
As we have written to you earlier; over the last few months the accounts of Nova-Old-Friends have been subject to an exception concerning the need to verify personal information. We have begun the necessary process to repeal these exceptions.

You have received this message because your exception concerning account withdrawals expires soon, and a week after that, the account will need a verified account holder in order to trade and deposit.

By popular demand, we extended the withdrawal exception one week so the date of exception expiration is this Sunday, March 24th 2019.

On that day you must have verified your personal information. By dealing with this, you will be able to keep using your account with almost no restrictions whatsoever.

THEN, next, on the Sunday after that, on March 31st 2019, all old Nova accounts held by an unverified customer will be suspended, pending verification of the personal information requested.

You are among our most valued customers. We want to get this process going, so that we can give you the most attention and personal assistance, should you need it.

It is a very good idea to get your information verified right away.
Here is a short video explaining the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqpUSMUIFH4
And here is where to start the verification: https://novaexchange.com/verify

Get in touch if you have any questions.

Team Nova
284  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Payment for KYC registration on: March 22, 2019, 03:36:11 PM
When did you received that email? AFAIR they did that months ago.
Yes they did. Idk if they stopped that giveaway for a moment, but what's sure is that the giveaway is (still) open now. I mentioned above that I do have an account in blockchain.com and surprisingly, I got the invitation earlier today. I can confirm that it's the same $25 XLM giveaway
285  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Payment for KYC registration on: March 21, 2019, 11:59:21 PM
You're against KYC, but I guess you have been swayed a little knowing that you can be paid for that.

It's up to you, but personally, I won't do it. I'd rather not get the giveaway and continue using the site without KYC. Tbh, I have an account there and never had even a single transaction. I'd prefer using a desktop wallet that's why.

I won't question the KYC because I understand that they require it to avoid abuse in the giveaway, that seems to be the only way (correct me if I'm wrong).
286  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitbay.net 6.65 ETH doesn't send my payment #SCAMMER# on: March 21, 2019, 02:18:48 PM
If they said that there was a technical problem, then you should receive your Eth after they fix it. However, even before that happens, another problem occured which was your account being blocked. Not sure if something else happened, but anyway,

If you contacted their support and didn't hear anything from them until now, try sending a message to their account here -> BitBay* - last active today. You can ask him to reply here in the thread as well to make your discussion public (it's for you to decide).

Idk if you're not aware, the site has been reported here many times too, you can check this one: Warning. Be very careful with bitbay Exchange!! - @OmegaStarScream provided more reference links there.

I think they are 2 different services... The one you mentioned is BitexBay and the one OP is accusing is BitBay.
Thanks for correcting me, I really was mistaken with the reference. Done changing it with the correct one.
287  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Announcing BPIP - The Bitcointalk Public Information Project! on: March 21, 2019, 07:15:24 AM
When you search for an account in BPIP, there's an indicator in search results when the account was inactive for a long time . I suggest that you add something for banned accounts too. Maybe a banned logo or simply a red *.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why My Ether Wallet Showing So Much Balance on: March 21, 2019, 12:29:31 AM
If you're talking about the Graph, most likely it's a bug or a problem with sync. All you need to do is refresh the page.

To help you, I checked your Eth address. In the image you provided, you were referring to March 19, so this is how it looks when I checked:

And I checked today's too, and it's totally synced well (balance in the graph is the same as the Balances listed below):

Personally, I wouldn't bother too much about the graph (well, I rarely use ethplorer too). I'd worry more if there's any suspicious changes in the balance itself or transactions made without me knowing.

PS. Please lock the thread if your question has been answered.

290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE] Use this for identifying Scam/Phishing/ websites & exchanges in crypto on: March 20, 2019, 02:03:04 PM
I saw that @riritsurya1202 mentioned about EtherAddressLookup, but you didn't list it (Idk if you missed).

EtherAddressLookup Chrome Extension
Most common uses:
  • Linkify Ethereum Addresses
  • Block you from malicious domains
  • History Checker
  • Twitter Trust Badges

There's also "Bookmark your favourite domains" and "Custom RPC node", but I haven't tried that. For more info and detailed descriptions visit their website. The last three features given above are really helpful, I can say based on experience.

1. Block you from malicious domains : They have a record of blacklisted domains and if you visited one, you'll see this:

2. History Checker : You can check your browser history anytime (last 500 only), this helps in checking if you've visited a site before that has been recently blacklisted. Just go click "More Settings" in your EAL Extension and you'll see all the details there / perform the action.

3. Twitter Trust Badges : They are providing 3 types of badges in twitter. I'm seeing this, but I chose to provide the info and images they have provided [source here >Twitter Badges]

     a. Verified/Whitelisted : This means CryptoInfluencers or EtherScamDB have whitelisted your Twitter ID.

     b. Blacklisted : This means the account is an imposter or tweeting in way to scam or phish users of their funds.

     c. Neutral : This means the the Twitter account has not categorized.

If you want to report a domain via EAL - you'll be redirected to etherscamdb too.

I will be wearing the avatar, personal text and website URL too. Hope that it helps a bit, even if I'm not that super active just like the other members.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡BQT - SOCIAL P2P CRYPTO EXCHANGE AND HEDGE TRADING PLATFORM ⚡ on: March 20, 2019, 03:25:45 AM
I haven't followed the project for a long time and missed some news , so can anyone tell when the team is going to launch the platform ?

I joined their TG few months ago and recently someone asked about the launch too, so please refer to the quoted message below (or visit the link to check the message in web). If you want real time updates and discussions, I suggest that you join in their Telegram group and/or check their social media accounts for news instead of here because most post in this thread is just spam IMO.

Beta will be launching by the end of March. Full version in May

293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strange transaction in MEW... on: March 19, 2019, 11:59:54 PM
Why didn't you share the transaction ID instead of an image?

The quantity is unbelievable for an airdrop if ever. I don't think that this PMNT is Paymon though because the quantity is already Paymon's total supply.

Out of curiousity, I checked your Eth address found in your previous post (quoted below), but I didn't see the PMNT there. Isn't the transaction belongs to your wallet?
ETH Address: 0xc0E25E470fc690241973474b1d617B5F53821907

Please let us see the TX ID.

If the amount was just sent to your wallet and you didn't do anything like open a link, give your log in credentials, private key, seed or any important data/files that can be used to open your account/wallet, it's not phishing.
294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain Terms Dictionary on: March 19, 2019, 12:53:48 PM
CRUD - Creative, retrieve, update, delete.
You should update this in your site if you put the same as here. CRUD stands for Create, Read, Update, Delete. (Well, retrieve is okay since it's really use as an alternate word for read).

PS. I learned it on our programming lesson too before.
295  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: hitbtc is a scam exchange Beware !!!!! :'( :'( :'( on: March 18, 2019, 11:59:40 PM
If you just exchange your coins and request a withdraw right away, they will really consider it suspicious considering the amount. I think other exchange will do the same (ask for KYC).

What did they say in their last reply? If you have submitted all the documents needed, then you just need to wait. Tbh, I consider you lucky for receiving 2 replies from them within a short time span. It took months for some before receiving even a first reply.

There have been several scam accusations and compalaints made against them, not only here but also in different platforms (it will show up when you google it) . I can't totally say it's a scam exchange, but I'd rather stay away and play safe than take risk.

296  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: March 18, 2019, 03:09:02 PM
WARNING: Fake Twitter Account that impersonates Cryptopia
(I know there has been a lot of warnings about this, but this account can really fool some of Cryptopia users.)

Uses same Name, Profile Picture, Banner (it's not in good quality). The only difference in username is that it uses 2 underscores and an extra i which might be missed at first glance.
Code:
@Cryptiopia__NZ
https://twitter.com/Cryptiopia__NZ

It also retweets the tweets from the Official twitter account of Cryptopia:

And actively replying to Cryptopia users who are replying on Official Cryptopia Account tweets:

I've reported the account on Twitter (selected "They’re pretending to be me or someone else" as issue). If you still see the account, please report it too and provide the Official username of Cryptopia. Thanks!

Edit: just saw that it was mentioned here as well, I wonder why the account has not been taken down by Twitter until now. Please report.

Update --> And we've won:
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Airdrops? on: March 18, 2019, 02:01:21 PM
Personally, I check all those coins sent to my wallet then SELL the coins that have value more than the fee that I'll be using and IGNORE the rest.

1. Yes, they are airdrops - more info HERE
2. Some airdrop coins are scam/spam and you can see them in the spam section of your wallet
3. It's not only you who received those airdrops, my advice is to sell them if you're able to and you think it's worth it (since you'll be paying waves as fee) BUT NEVER BUY unless you've checked the coin if it exists in other exchanges and have a great volume.

About the Reissuable Asset:

Re-issuable defines if an asset issuer can increase the token's supply at a later point or not. If set to "Reissuable", the issuer can increase the supply any time. It's also important to know that if re-issuable is set to true at the beginning.

299  Local / Pamilihan / Re: WCX: can you help spread the word in the Philippines? on: March 18, 2019, 03:31:57 AM
Hello, you are advertising 0 fees for trade, deposit and withdrawal. I understand that there are no fees given to you, but fees paid to the miners on withdrawal are still fee so I think you should make it clear beforehand. Stating just 0 fees might lead to misunderstandings and become an issue.

It's just a piece of advice. Smiley

I don't see any exact date at which this will hit exchanges, but if we can get enough community support I doubt it will be a problem

and another one that hasn't been banned:
