How would that even be done on the protocol level? If someone doesn't use the private key in time to claim the BTCP they will be destroyed? Hello, yes it is futuristic but it has finally arrived. We are already testing our MVP with 1000 pilot users in 15 countries. Next will be even more in Mozambique. It may not be offered in every country yet as we are trying to perfect the credit risk algo to lower default rates. A robo bank is the best solution as it lowest cost tremendously. We hope you can support our vision! I am still struggling to understand the whole concept. How do robots exactly come into play? Or do you mean artificial intelligence? You don't have buildings where roboters serve customers do you? |

It clearly says anyone who holds Monero prior to the fork and not "held" Monero prior to the fork. Not sure why you would want somebody to change that. Isn't it very clear what you need to do to get MoneroV?

The Litecoin Cash community is growing rapidly. I am surprised to see how far they have come in such a short period of time. There is a lot of talk about atomic swaps amongst the devs (something to look forward to I guess). Hash rate is already at 100PH/s. 5000+ members in the discord channel... It's only been forked for a little over two weeks. The future is bright indeed! I think the Litecoin Cash team will surprise us all. I claimed my coins via SouthXChange. The process wasn’t without its hiccups, but then again I’m a total noob. The community on Discord is helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. In all seriousness, it’s a good place. Real info, real help. I don’t know much about LCC’s devs yet, but I’m impressed with what I’ve seen so far. This coin is going places.
That's the advantage of a fork because you immediately get all those people interested who receive free coins. A good bootstrapping method so to say. Hmm not sure about that one.... Sometimes the community whose coin gets forked can also turn into a very hostile crowd bashing the fork. |

That's basically right, but you don't always get the chance to fight poverty where it exists or emerges as the countries, or the governments of those countries have a certain interest to have a poor population. And you can't just go there asa foreign nation and fight poverty. |

To be honest, I think it is usually much easier for hard-forks to get listed because the holders of the original chain are able to claim it. If these exchanges don't list them, they risk their users moving to other resources to claim the free coins and staying there afterward. There is also another incentive to support the fork as the exchanges are likely to hold a good amount of LTC themselves. |

How can I get MoneroV?
Anyone who holds Monero prior to the fork which will occur on block height 1529810 (~14th March 2018) will be an owner of MoneroV and will receive MoneroV coins (XMV) in the rate of 1 XMR = 10 XMV. As an example, if you hold 1 Monero coin (XMR) prior to the fork, you will own 10 MoneroV (XMV) after the fork.
OK.... So.... I bought 100 Monero 9 months ago, then sold them (all 100) 6 months ago, so I held Monero "prior to the fork". So I will be able to claim 1,000 MoneroV when it's out..... Right? Or. Does someone need to change the "prior to the fork" to "at the time of the fork"? It clearly says anyone who holds Monero prior to the fork and not "held" Monero prior to the fork. Great to here ICO launches potentially coming in April. Their pt about Dex's being the #1 pain point in crypto...I think it's def important, but these Dex's will probably take a significant amount of time before we see a huge market shift to DEX's. There's a bit of a learning curve with DEX's. IDEX is a pretty great exchange, Kyber should be great as well considering the incentivized system, and there are others as well, but I don't envision these things cutting into the market share of the top 5 exchanges for a long time. @Simpleman I agree with you, but considering its probably a small amount of code to add the lock feature that probably should've been done...it is what it is, looking forward for exchange listing soon to see market reaction I guess you are right and should have been done in order to avoid unnecessary financial damage for all those who bought worthless tokens. |
