281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency bank on: March 18, 2018, 12:49:51 PM
Isn't the idea of decentralization is to make sure you are always in control of your own coins? This means you are already your own bank as you do not need a third party to help keep your coins safe and also carry out transaction. The control is in your hands. We do not need cryptocurrency banks because we can already get our money out from our coins by ourselves.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: Many new rich people are created from Bitcoin on: March 18, 2018, 12:47:39 PM
This is true. Although the bitcoin millionaires that were made were those who got in early and invested well and then held their coins against all odds, Through highs and lows and their patience paid off. They bought at low prices and waited for the price to go up before selling and that is how to make the most money in bitcoin. Invest what you can afford and hold.
283  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ?? on: March 18, 2018, 12:45:47 PM
You should choose bitcoin because it's secure. There's a lot of potential with bitcoin which it has not even realized yet as we are just starting to see the tip of the iceberg. Bitcoin has a high market value and when you buy and hold you can make a lot of profit from your investments in bitcoin. Also you control whatever happens to your coins/.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries? on: March 18, 2018, 12:43:34 PM
This is because people from countries with good economies have easier access to equipments and gadgets which are required to buy, mine and hold bitcoins. And also there is the fact that there is better potential for people to have money put aside which they can afford to lose and put into bitcoins. There's also the issue of good internet speeds, electricity and a bunch of other factors.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [INFO] HODL or HOLD on: March 17, 2018, 10:10:11 PM
HODL is slang term in the Bitcoin community that describes it as a principle to keep investing with Bitcoin and not give up on the decline in bitcoin prices

A favorite spell from Bitcoin holders. In Bitcoin community HODL is backronym for Hold On for Dear Life. HODL becomes an original term for Bitcoin, this term is not derived from forex.

The word HODL was first popularized by a user named "GameKyuubi," uploaded shortly after what is currently remembered as the legendary Bitcoin price fall in December 2013. The post is known as I AM HODLING. letter D before the letter L
GameKyuubi "posted that he is a bad trader and “I KNOW I'M A BAD TRADER’, He said.
He criticized other traders who suddenly sold their coins because of the price fell. He said,”You only sell in a bear market if you are a good day trader or an illusioned noob.  The people inbetween hold.  In a zero-sum game such as this, traders can only take your money if you sell’.
He principled not to sell his coins even if the price plummeted. By holding back his emotions he said: "I am Holding." But he he wrongly wrote the word hold to hodl. “ I AM HODLING “he wrote down the post title.

This the original post by GameKyuubi

Thanks for this.
There are a lot of people in the cryptocurrency community who see cyrptocurrency terms and slangs and have no idea what it means. I've personally have people ask me about certain terms and words which they came across but didn't know what it meant and I always take out time to educate and answer whatever questions they might have.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: March 17, 2018, 10:10:00 PM
The answer to this question really depends on your usage of the coin. Do you buy bitcoins because you want to use it to purchase things and pay for services or do you buy bitcoin because you want to hold and sell at a higher price? If your intentions is to use it for buying and payment then it becomes a currency. If you use it as an investment in order to make profits, then it becomes an asset.
287  Economy / Economics / Re: Where you see a Crash, I see a Fire Sale! on: March 17, 2018, 10:04:44 PM
I thought I was the only one who thought this way.
When I look at the market and see prices are crashing, the first thought that comes to my mine=d is , Time to buy. I see crashes as an opportunity to get coins which I can easily hold and sell off at a bull market thereby making a lot of profit. I will never understand why people panic so much when they see a crash. Just hold people, the price will go back up.
288  Economy / Economics / Re: Selling Bitcoin = Opportunity loss?! on: March 17, 2018, 09:59:51 PM
If you sell your bitcoins now then it's definitely a loss of opportunity as you can gain way much more when you just hodl and wait for the market to recover which it surely will. Then when the bull run comes you can sell off and make as much profit as possible but if you sell off your bitcoins now in this bear market then all of this potential just goes out the window.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: teach your children about bitcoin on: March 13, 2018, 01:38:44 AM
Children who learn about Bitcoin now will be thankful to their parents for teaching them about it because that knowledge will pay off big time as they get older.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now - should or not? on: February 22, 2018, 06:45:45 PM
You should invvest $100 into every crypto. IF you did that just one year ago you'd be a millionaire right now.

293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SIGNATUM RELOAD on: January 25, 2018, 07:35:53 PM
Original developers left the project and than new devs ( with few old ones) created Straks. People could swap SIGT to STRAKS in 4:1 ratio.

Now swap process is over, Signatum is now became no dev project.

Why do they want to revive it now?
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why all coins are dropping? on: January 25, 2018, 07:33:23 PM
Bitcoin is the main crypto. If it drops then all the altcoins drop.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to 100% invest into 1 alt coin, which would it be? on: January 25, 2018, 07:31:07 PM

296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SIGNATUM RELOAD on: January 25, 2018, 07:30:26 PM

297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: January 23, 2018, 07:14:55 PM
Ethereum has smart contracts that Bitcoin does not. That is why it should be supported.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Time To Buy Bitcoin!! on: January 23, 2018, 07:12:47 PM
Best time to buy bitcoin is 5 years ago. Second best time is now.
299  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: January 21, 2018, 10:28:17 AM
It matters a lot for the holders and the traders. It also matters because a big price increase makes the news.
