bbOOmm pmed.

still got a whole basement of stuff to clean out. next on the list is nitro cars/trucks. the money will be turned into btc to sit waiting for new hardware to be released so i can be one of the first kids on the block with a bright shinny new asic so i can throw even more hash onto kanos pool.

my 28 s7's got .0975 btc reward on the last block. This is at 35ph. At 31ph they got .107 btc. (five blocks previous)(yesterday) (ouch!)

wow 28 s7. are all those hosted? or at an offsite?

the heat output is insane the 5 i have. i cant imagine what 28 would put out.

i actually starting going through all my "stuff" and turned it into cash/btc. which i then promptly spent on another s7 and parts to make the car go faster.

probably not the best way to use the money from selling the stuff but its free money right cant just let it sit around gotta put it good use. LOL

can we hit double digit blocks today? maybe?

I sent you a pm

Yeah last fall I fill 10 boxes of good junk and sold them here.

so I purchased more junk with that. Grin

most of my stuff is aquarium stuff that i have gathered. used to live in a place with free water so i had a 150 gal salt water reef tank.

286  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S7 Many URLS of Pool in Miner Status on: March 10, 2016, 02:42:39 PM
have you been able to fix/lock out the hacker?
287  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: is here required internet connection for mining? on: March 10, 2016, 02:41:38 PM
i really dont know about this. and how and where to connect machine too.

would need more details on what machine you are using to mine with. Some are standalone (ie antminer s series) others require a raspberry pi (avalon) and others need a usb hub and a pi (gekko/u3)

Hi guys. I'm pretty new to this but been trying. Thing is I got my self a s7 from a guy who used it like few days...anyways. It been working real fine and so but for some reason one the blades is way high temperature than the others. Like 20c more. What's going on? Has some one else this or can some one help me out what can I do?
Thank you.

have you tried taking the fans off and looking inside? the hot blade may have dust build up on it or something could have got lodged inside. hitting them with a blast of compressed air will knock any dust out or anything stuck in there.

bed no but i am going to have to start repairing these playstation 1 / 2 / atari 2600 / nintendo / and xbox 360's soon so that will have my time for a while

one question. Why?

secondly: getting to work and seeing that 5 blocks were found definitely makes the day at a crappy job better. unfortunately the power company doesnt take btc as payment so a day job is a must.
Well ... if you can pay your credit card with BTC and then use that to pay the elec ... Smiley

unfortunately because i have AEP they claim to only charge 5.9 cents per kw. yet that doesnt include all their fees and the "transmission" charge. so to run 4 s7s and 3 s5 plus the rest of my house its 350 a month. and i cant switch to another company that doesnt charge their transmission fee because they charge 7 cents per kw. so aep is allowed to basicly double their bill just because they claim they are charging you less and thus prevents you from switching.

the amount of btc earned doesnt cover the power bill is what im saying.

in other news i added s7 number 5 last night to the pool.  Grin
290  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: New Miner - S7 / Antpool Configuration Question on: March 10, 2016, 02:14:07 PM
Kano sounds good... should I mine direct or create an account?  The landing page mentions using an API... a little beyond my understanding.  Advice?

best bet is to sign up for a user name. that will allow you to see more detailed stats vs just using an address. which if you have multiple miners will allow  you to see the performance of each.

plus its easier to ask questions when you can reference a user id vs a btc address. using an address feels cold/distant to me. but to each his own.

wow its amazing to see how much this pool has grown in the last few months. my bookmark for his page showed 15ph as the current hash, it is now double.

the growth is simply down to this is a better place to mine then everywhere else, and word of mouth or forum posts if you want to be technical.

other pools should take note, kano is proof you can have a rapidly growing pool and still provide customer service and a hands on approach.

although im sure kano would like to be hands off on some of the items (ie payments) so that he can get some sleep every once in awhile.

would love to know who it is and see pics of the farm. it must be massive.

I can only imagine the amount of heat being produced and the amount of power being consumed. you could probably hear the electric buzz in the area from that much draw.
294  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need help choosing psu for my antminer s7 on: March 09, 2016, 04:50:18 AM
I use evga 1600 P2 power supplies for the most part. I have 1 miner using 2 evga 1300 since they were laying around and 1 using a pair of hp server psu that I picked up from ebay because my normal supplier was out of 1600w psu.

I really like the 1600w p2 plenty of headroom so that you can turn the dial up to 11 for the overclock. I have a kill a watt on 1 of them and its pulling 1450ish watts at the wall.
295  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help trouble shooting Antminer S7 5.06TH on: March 08, 2016, 08:39:57 PM
video has since been taken down. does this mean you fixed it? or is it a giant expensive paper weight.

what psu was/is being used? was/is the psu powerfull enough to run the unit? saw 1 guy selling 1 and he was using a 1300w evga, definitely not enough power for a unit like this.
296  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Making around $37 per BTC with instant trading on: March 08, 2016, 08:25:30 PM
I know that people with a large ,and even 100 bitcoins can make a good return investing only at bitcoin but a heavy work to buy and sell on the right moments, soo saying hey you can make 40 dollard for each btc selling at a xx website no one can trust this if they do the scam moment will be complete.

if you are trying to trade "currencies" you are better of day trading fiat currency on the fx exchange vs trading btc and even worse trading btc with a scam site.
297  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S7 Many URLS of Pool in Miner Status on: March 08, 2016, 07:31:46 PM
the miner being hacked would be the least of my concerns i would be worried that other computers on that network are compromised and personal info could be stolen.

299  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S5 Miner Temperature Sensor issue on: March 08, 2016, 06:50:08 PM
Thanks for the feedback all. @VirosaGITS, I'll try that out and fortunately, I have a laser thermometer handy. Just for clarification, are you referring to the screws that hold the sidings on the machine?

The PCB has screws all over the board to push the chips against the Heatsink. Just check every chips and try to see if one flares up to 100C+ thats what happened to me. If so tighten the screws a bit that would push it against the heatsink.

If that doesnt work it could be a bad paste job.

hmm ill have to take at look at mine and do this. some of the boards have a 5-10 degree C difference between sides. never thought it would be a loose screw.
