Should RBI issue a new digital Bharatcoin?

http://www.livemint.com/Opinion/gUwOElKlYuZAj7HMyKFsFM/Should-RBI-issue-a-new-digital-Bharatcoin.html

The various prerequisites for an eventual move towards a cashless economy are gradually falling into place. India already has a new digital platform for mobile payments that is perhaps one of the best in the world. A new report by the Boston Consulting Group estimates that digital payments in India would touch $500 billion by 2020. Rajan Anandan, Google’s vice-president for South-east Asia and India, told this newspaper on Tuesday that the Indian digital payments industry is at an inflection point.

Few would remember that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had begun taking a serious look at the future way back in 2003, when a working group on the use of electronic money submitted its report. The central bank later seemed to have grown wary of new digital currencies such as bitcoin; it even issued formal warnings about the risks of using them. It has now decided to join the revolution through a joint committee with the finance ministry on cashless payments.

hope it will accept bitcoin as currency ..and it will help us a lot ...kudoos☺

286  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: August 05, 2016, 01:04:29 PM
In Europe there is a hot new pertaining to a company whose going to introduce paying bitcoins to their employees. But given the instability of the bitcoins market value is it an advantage for the employees or an disadvantage. In my opinion this kind of payment for salary is not yet beneficial to employees not until bitcoins price has become stabled. Though if bitcoin will start to increase its monetary value it can be advantageuos but if not then it is a peril to the employees. So what do you think, what is your opinion on this matter?
well i dont think i would nt accept bitcoin as salary ..because its market value changes all thhe time .and ur company pays u bitcoin acc to today s market value but then tomorrow its value decreased ..then i dont think its useful at al and i would nt trust it too ..kudoos Smiley

Right now i am earning close to 0.01btc per weak with my signature campaign but i just dont know what to do with them.I want to grow them and reach a good amount of btc but only collecting will take a long time to reach a good amount. So i start to gamble with them and till now since 3-4 weaks i have lost all my signature campaing earnings.I win at the start but i become greedy and gamble more and then lost them.
So i decided not to gamble with them can any one tell me what are the other options which i can do with my earnings.
after u get ur earnings u can buy whatever u want ,i mean it should be within ir budget.or u could trade ur money .after trading ur money u could get 10 percent benefit of that amount .well of u wanna go for gambling ..u can also earn and u can earn a lot .well to be honest dojt go for gambling because if u get addicted u l end up badly ..hope u got it ...kudoos Smiley
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in School Newspaper on: August 03, 2016, 03:23:02 AM
Hey guys I am planning to put some info about Bitcoin in my school’s paper. Here is the script. Please provide feedback. Thanks.

Bitcoin – A New Era

Have you ever wondered about a world where you could bank without banks? A world where your private transactions are public? A world where you could send transactions internationally in a peer-to-peer situation without going through a third party like a bank? It sounds crazy but that is what Satoshi Nakamoto created in the January of 2009. He created Bitcoin.

Bitcoins are the first decentralised digital coins that can be sent via the internet. This means that it has “no central control, no central private vault of information, no central management, and most importantly, no central point of failure”. Bitcoin is controlled by the people who use it. Everything in bitcoin is public. This is contrasted with the centralised system of third party verifications such as banks or clearing houses. Bitcoin is shaking the foundations of the society in which most people live in today. It is a new, technology that can change the world.

Compared to other alternatives such as fiat, which is the currency that has been approved by a government tender, bitcoin has advantages on many levels. These advantages all rely on Bitcoin’s central philosophy of decentralisation. Bitcoin proposes a form of peer to peer transactions, which means that we are ditching banks for good. In the centralised world, banks have control over transactions. They charge payment for verifying the validity of such transactions. As there are no banks in the case of Bitcoin, it means that business fees are much lower, we can use Bitcoin internationally and that your wallet can never be frozen.

Let’s look into how these Bitcoins work. There are many currency exchanges in which people can sell or buy Bitcoin for dollars, euros, pounds and more. Obviously, as each currency has different values, the price of Bitcoin is dependant on the currency used. All your Bitcoin are stored in your wallet on your phones, computers, the internet or other devices. Sending transactions to other accounts is as easy as handing money over the counter and anything in the world can be bought with Bitcoin. These networks of Bitcoin transactions are secured by people called miners who are rewarded with newly created Bitcoin in relation to the number of transactions verified. Now you may think that this is the same as banks, but the fact is that banks charge you for approving transactions, whereas miners are rewarded for transactions. In a sense, Bitcoin depends on transactions. Once these transactions are verified they are placed in a publicly stored Ledger called the Blockchain. Here, all the verified transactions can be viewed.

Bitcoins complex technology is revolutionising our current society. It will minimise fees charged by businesses, it is free to create a wallet and start using them and there are no chargebacks. All in all, Bitcoin provides advantages for everyone. To get more information visit bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=1.0 . Banking is necessary, but Banks are not.

 Waiting for feedback. Smiley
thats great actually .after readimg this i got an idea that i will also write about bitcoins in the school magazine ..well thanks ..hope bitcoins will be the future currency..kudoos  Smiley
292  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: August 02, 2016, 05:38:49 PM
Greetings all. I'd like to know what you would do if your bitcoin did one of the following, as I am a little confused about what I'll do myself...

What would you do if:

Bitcoin hit $1,000,000:
Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again:
Bitcoin stayed where it was:
Bitcoin became worthless, or a few cents:
And which of these do you think is most probable?

Thanks for your opinions,

 -Lags
well i would not be waiting for the bitcoins price for that too long ..i will be waiting till 2025 then i would slowly sell of my bitcoins .and its ok .i guess i would hit nearly 2000 dollar whichis far more .and i guess i would retire and i think it will be over ..kudoos Smiley
293  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: August 02, 2016, 05:32:43 PM
Hey guys,

I just spoke to a guy over chat who told me his plan was to get 100 BTC, wait for the price to reach $5k per BTC and retire after that. Since he lives in a third world county, that might be possible for him. I know this is a simplification of the problem but I d like to know what s your plan. How many BTC is your goal, at what price and what happens once you reach that goal. After all, we have all been involved in a dream, why not dream it a bit more.  Grin
5000 dollar per btc ..well its huge and it will  take a lot of time ...well earning 100 btc would be a dream for me ..well i would save that btc and when my dad will be planning to sell our previous house, then i should have enough money so that i can buy that house from my dad ..kudoos Smiley
294  Local / India / Re: [Discussion] Ways to earn bitcoin for undergraduates and people with free time on: August 02, 2016, 05:27:37 PM
Hi forum,

I bring with me a problem.... well its more of a .. advice asking thing

So we all know about the faucets and the Pay-to-Click ad sites.. Cheesy
But the thing is as of Jun03 google has started to shut down faucets that use the google-ad-sense the wrong way so theree has been a sharp decline in the payout faucets are giving  Sad

https://99bitcoins.com/google-just-murdered-99satoshis/  Embarrassed

But that was always meant to happen

Here is what I really want to ask... what are some sites or places that accept 1-2hrs part-time jobs(micro-jobs) and pay well enough  Huh
I'm not talking 200rs per day.... if we could just spend 1-2hrs and earn bit-coins=1 USD it would be alright... Undecided
more money is always welcome. Grin

just so you know crowdflower has officially said that doesn't trust Indian workers so micro-task sites don't really offer jobs to our region's IPs Angry

So please... explore and discuss here about how we can earn bit-coins as Indians.. for now

I believe that bitcoins are going to become the standard currency in our online word so ....... lets earn  Grin

Here is my calculation log that shows how i reached the 1usd per hr rate

1 satoshi = 10^-8 bit coins
                  10 satoshi = 10^-7 bit coins

                          1 bitcoin ~ 600usd

                  0.0016 bitcoin ~ 1 usd = 60rs
                  1 bitcoin = 10^8 satoshi
                  0.0016 bitcoin = 160,000 satoshi

                       an average salary is 50,000rs
so an average person makes 1,666 rs per day or per 8 hrs
                       thats ~ 208Rs per hr = 3 dollars

                     lets do a back calculation
                       3 dollars per hr for 8 hrs = 24 dollars *30 days = 720 dollars
                        720*60rs =  43,200 .... close enough

                                I don't need that much... i just need a part-time job

                      1 dollar per hr for 8 hrs = 8$ for 30 days = 240$
                       240*60rs = 14,400

                      1 dollar per hr for 1hr = 1$ for 30 days = 30$
                       30$*60rs = 1800

                       thats low

160,000  satoshi per hr should be our bitcoin farm rate as a part-time job during summers
or else its useless ... more so for college days/working days

480,000 satoshi per hr to make us independent and sustainable.. almost

need to see ways to earn bitcoin passively

0.0016BTC oh boy.. thats a lot

Thank you

Sorry for the long post.............. have a sweet potato Grin Grin Grin Grin

i would say that u would start posting here in bitcoin forum .and try to do constructive post as much possible ..avoid gambling because if u get addicted that u l end up badly .so after 120 posts u l become a full member then u l able to sign a signature campaign and u l be able to earn bitcoins...kudoos Smiley

No bitcoin will not disappear, bitcoin is now a normal currency and has made its place in the world finance.
Now no one should have to talk like that.
And if one is with all the knowledge about finance and bitcoin, he will do not ever say that bitcoin will disappear.
yess i think it can disappear in the future ..well why not ?nothing is for granted..well goverment jobs are also not secure for the future ...well i guess u could not totally depend on bitcoins .its risky ..well fun too ...kudoos Smiley

If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do?

I personally would sell maybe 0.00001 BTC (about $10 if I'm not mistaken).
if the price of btc rose up to 1 million i would be the happiest person on the earth  , then to be personal i would sell 0.5 btc which i think is huge ,i would enough money to  go to a expensive place and give my parents a happy time .they would probably think that how the hell i earned so many bitcoins .but to be honest i would be happy the most ..kudoos ..
