Looks like it is working correctly. Go to http://127.0.0.1:9332 in your browser to see some more info. You can run P2Pool on one computer and direct your miners to that computer's IP address instead of the localhost address.

WHAR IS BITCOINS? WHAR?

This is what all you suckers sound like. If you send bitcoins to the address in my sig I will guarantee a 3000% return paid in happy thoughts in your general direction. Did you feel that? The first one is free.

This must be a very confusing issue to most Libertarians.
"You mean you just give money/things away?!"

Chicago is a lot different than bumfuck Alaska.
292  Economy / Gambling / Re: What online gambling is like. on: August 21, 2012, 01:13:42 AM
Most gambling websites don't show you the code running in the background. You're trusting that they are playing by the same rules they tell you they are using.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: The recurring trouble-cycle of bitcoins, and why I'm here. on: August 20, 2012, 05:01:18 AM
Honest money: the principle benefit of bitcoin.
I loled...

Didn't say anything about the assholes and idiots that flourish in today's society. When has a Bitcoin lied to you? You either have it or you don't. How you acquire and lose it is up to you. In short, people are a problem.

I have a three core CPU and there's nothing going on in the background. It seems to run fine for about a day then it starts messing up.
What version of bitcoin? 0.6.2 has a huge cpu usage bug.

I'm using 0.6.3

Who the hell is this Pirate everyones on about?

Way I read it in New Scientist, apparently all the dealers on SR are making 11,000+ BTC per month, and hey those guys have gotta get paid... and that's the way it is.

Pirate is some guy running a ponzi scheme which is going belly up.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low before you buy in? on: August 19, 2012, 10:40:40 AM
I remember buying Portal 2 for like 36 bitcoins and then it shot up to $30/btc. I was sad for a bit till I remember I still have Portal 2 to play.
298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you selling into an orchestrated shakeout? on: August 19, 2012, 10:38:19 AM
Half the fun of Bitcoin is watching speculators lose their shit.  Cheesy
299  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: transaction timestamp in bitcoin-qt on: August 19, 2012, 10:37:18 AM
I don't remember older version of the client doing this but I may be wrong. I found it pretty annoying when my hard drive died and I restored a backup. All the transactions I made since the backup showed up as the day I downloaded the blockchain again. Just glancing at it makes it look like one very profitable day. :-P

Hold your investment and don't freak out. In a few years you'll be laughing all the way to the virtual bank and she'll be blowing guys for cab fare.

I need about tre-fity.
