281  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Common misconceptions about cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) on: March 03, 2024, 09:34:52 AM
Sorry to say this, I don't really understand why newbies like to teach when they should be learning this is one big mistake I never did. instead of saying things and then it will turn out that I was very wrong I will rather remain silent and learn the basics before trying to contribute.

I suggest you should also consider that.
From your perception your absolutely correct with your led down misconception about Bitcoin and the cryptocurrencies (including shitcoins) at large but believe me as time goes on you will then to find out that you where wrong in some point. Although you're making good points too but for me I think it's not time to teach rather you should spend more of you time visiting the learnmeabitcoin.com website https://learnmeabitcoin.com/ to have background knowledge of Bitcoin including the technical related knowledge of Bitcoin.

Maybe because they also want to get fast merit for their thread created? Usually they do this just because they think that there are so many people will give a merit to a thread created. But they forget to know that they should be more informative and also the words they posted is accurate so that people will not get confused on what they are trying to write here. Its good that there are people correct him regarding on misconceptions in mind and for sure he learn something from the thread he created.

Newbie should learn first before they try to teach other so that they can share more valuable information and not those misleading one.
282  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: March 03, 2024, 08:20:40 AM
Right, it's a brutal business, a lot of competitions and it's just really hard to cope with the big boys if you are just new in the game and you don't have that big pockets.
They are not that new, actually. They have been in the gambling business for more than two years at least since their fiat casino was launched in 2021. They are not as old as some of the other well established casinos but I believe two or three years is more than enough to gain the experience needed to operate and maintain a successful business.
It's a sad news, nevertheless and I hope they will be able to fix whatever problems they have then relaunch the crypto casino soon as it seemed to be a very promising one.

They are not new maybe on their fiat operation but for crypto maybe yes and it didn't end up good to them that's why they shutdown their operation. But if they just try to find ways to market well their casino maybe there are some changes to happen. But I guess there's no coming back from them since shutting down means they don't have plan to open back their business in crypto. Its really sad to see them shutting down but sometimes this is how business will end up especially if there competitor do more better job to get better exposure than them, that's why its important for a business like this to have gimmicks to make people get attract to gamble on their casino.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 02, 2024, 10:55:35 PM
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?
I don't think the child will have any business with such debts except the were filed as the next of kin or guarantor after seeking their consent but if their consent wasn't sought after then such can be contested in a competent court of law and such person be free of such dept so it's something we have literally see happened in various Case so most times the creditors request a collateral so I'm cases of such recovery of the funds becomes easy .

Kids who aren't aware of any debt arrangements between their dad and a third party can always contest such in court and will be exempted from such a case but then I'd they are aware and consented to it then they may have to inherit such

If there's a contract signed that the asset will be the collateral of the loan then yes they can take the property written on the contract but they can't asked any further more payments from their children since as being said that they are out of that. Well if the lender is pursuant and eager to get his money back the only thing he can do is to take the property for sure he can't do anything with it as the court will also clear the name of the children out of their parents debt.

They can always contest in that situation and for sure the court will be on their side especially that they are not the one who take the money from the lender. But maybe if there's also a guarantor involve as third party maybe the lender can sue that guy since for sure he is included in the contract and liable to pay those remaining debts.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: Insurance is important on: March 02, 2024, 12:49:02 PM
Actually the more older we get, the more we need it and we realize it overtime. It may not be actually needed and necessary when we're younger.
But as we grow older, we are looking for protection that are going to protect not just our wealth but also the financial situation of our loved ones.
That's the purpose of insurance and even if you want to have an additional income but when you're older, your actions are limited so as the opportunities.
Your advice is not bad for this, but for now I am also very aware of this so I have also made a plan to one day create insurance that can protect my wealth and also protect the financial situation of the people around me. I'm like in my family. However, for now it seems like I don't need this because I am still very capable of working and earning additional income so I am trying to postpone that plan for now and save it well to use again when I really need it.

While we are strong and capable to do everything we like then there's instances that we can really think that there's no need for us to have an insurance since we are young and just think about we are wasting our money for that.

But once there's something bad happen to you while doing your daily task outside or even at your workplace then you don't have enough savings to pay your hospital bills for sure you provably would regret that you didn't get these insurance. At current condition where to many unsure things we can experience in life its better to have insurance so that we are fully prepared for the worse and some resource for our hospitalization.
285  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Mistakes?? on: March 02, 2024, 11:26:08 AM
Being new to the world of digital finance,  I think a great way to start and excel is by gathering information from the experienced here, on the biggest mistakes you have made, and things to do and avoid. I really think that'd be a big plus for an upcoming investor like myself.

First try to know what catch up your interest so that you can determine for yourself on what are important to consider and focus with it. Since if you apply all random suggestion while you don't know anything about bitcoin then there's a chance that you get confuse and get tired with it.

There are lots of suggestion here then see what catch your attention then try to learn from it although having multiple knowledge is really great but sometimes it creates a lots of confusion that's why its better you experience first so that you can learn from it also you are in realistic means sine you fully experience it.
Just to make it simple since there's a lot of good suggestion already posted here, Don't invest on a individual or platform that gives to good to be true profit and they don't have any proof of legitimacy since as expected this is just a scam operated by people who's greedy to earn money in bad way.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake; one couple two accounts illegal? on: March 02, 2024, 09:33:06 AM
You are 100% right and I agree it is my mistake.. i wasn’t aware of those rules regarding sports betting.
I will keep you updated on this issue after I send all the documents to Stake and hear back from them.

Thank you

To bad that you realize your mistake made after stake putting some harsh decisions on both of the accounts handle by you and your husband. Then I guess they have the right to take action regarding on the situation. So maybe next time much better if you read the TOS before taking action so that you will not say that you didn't know that you already violate the rules of the casino since they will not honor that reasoning since its bad mistake for a user which can be avoided if both of you just try to spend some time to know their rules.

Just reach up their support and ask politely for possible refund so you can move on to other casino if you or your husband still want to gamble on online casino. Then learn from what happen here so you will not do the same mistake on other casino.
287  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: March 01, 2024, 11:05:17 PM
There can be many reasons for this:

1. The got a degree but into something that was forced upon them, they dont like it and they cannot put their innovative strength into it and thus they cannot land up a job.
2. They flunked the college or university and eventually came out as a low quality educated graduate. They peers might be landing jobs but they are not.
3. The degree that they got into is a well saturated field. However the phrase is relative and those who have a proper vision will be able to desaturate the market in no time.
4. The job might be need some years of slogging before getting a "wealthy" income. So give them time.

Right you have valid points on the reasons why there are still graduates that are not wealthy since to many factors need to look and not all people destined to get rich. Also want to add that certain obligation to family what also make those graduate to lose a lot of opportunity since becoming a breadwinner on the family leaves you no choice but to accept whatever job available for you to take, that's why other choose to get those job which is mismatch on their qualification since they don't have any choice as they need money to support their family immediate needs.

I dont agree with the "drop-outs" do better - because here you are looking at only the famous ones who actually had a vision to pursue. There are so many college drop-outs, if that was the case they would be ruling the working class, but they are not. Its called survivorship bias.

They just read to much success stories of those some billionaires became so successful after they drop out on college. They fantasize everything because they just dream to be as successful as them but they forget to realize that in reality everything they think easy is not actually work just like that. That's why its better for them to be real and they will not became successful automaticaly if they drop out since it need mix of luck, skills and determination to became successful in life.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: March 01, 2024, 02:54:18 PM
Do you have a sports that you keep betting on even though you don’t watch this sports live or you don’t know the full specifications of this game?

In my case, I keep betting on tennis whenever I have spare money on my casino balance from my VIP rewards(Rakeback) after my long game session on live games. I’m not really a fan of sports betting in general but I do place bet randomly on tennis especially the Asian Handicap on live match. I’m always betting on the underdog that already has 1 set advantage to the favorite players. I do this bet just for fun no string attached.

I believe this is the literal definition of “gamble what you can afford to lose”.  Grin

I don't actually bet on sports that I don't watch since its like it decreasing my chances to win and a waste of money spend on bets that I'm not familiar with. Usually I go only on sports I know since by knowing the team it give me more confidence to get a win and earn some decent rewards also enjoyment for watching how the game end up.

Maybe we have different likes and opinion regarding on this since there are people just want to test out their luck and bet on sports that they are not familiar then see how it works for them. This applicable only for people which have a lot of balance since they can easily recover. But for people have low budget they better choose only the sport they know so can make sure to enjoy whatever result will show to us.

290  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun |Up To 80% RakeBack |SLOTS|SPORTS|ESPORTS| JACK Token on: March 01, 2024, 12:21:37 PM
Congrats to your Win! please let us know if you could withdraw it.

Of course I made a withdrawal a few days ago. I forgot that I haven't said it yet. It seems like my withdrawal was completed in 5 or 10 minutes. Pretty fast

Unfortunately I haven't been included in the VIP list because I only have a small amount wager and need 1btc wager to be able to enter VIP1, that's a very large amount in my opinion. I don't know when I can get on the VIP list.

This is a surprising because the last time I play on this casino was my withdrawal is on manual withdrawal process which almost took a day before they can process. My account is already on the VIP since I wager more than 1BTC in the past but I’m not sure being VIP gives difference for having trusted withdrawal. I tried to contact them before to request my account to have instant withdrawal but they told me that it’s only available for selected trusted player in the casino.

Is the VIP rewards is already active? I have a terrible previous game in the casino due to their manual withdrawal process that makes me lose all my profit because I became greedy on playing it because I’m too tired on waiting.

Manual withdrawal should be changed since this could make people doubt about how long their process will end up also it can erase the negative allegations if those people could able to withdraw their funds once they win here. They are trying to build their reputation back again so they should eliminate this manual processing of withdrawal so that no allegations will be thrown to them and everything will go smooth. Good that we see people withdrawal request got credited but there are people doesn't like that they are still using a manual processing since people are still skeptical about that.

Too late for Dca this bull run. Fat finger green button
It is never too late for the DCA strategy. Some people started accumulating bitcoin this year with the DCA strategy and with the plan of holding it for like 4–5 years. Since they are in on bitcoin for the long term, the DCA strategy remains the best option to use in accumulating bitcoin because it will help them accumulate bitcoin even when the bitcoin price is increasing or decreasing and also control the volatility of bitcoin. It is only when you are in on bitcoin for the short term that it is too late to use the DCA strategy.

This is the wrong view of people regarding on situation since maybe they are looking at it on short time and think about its late to accumulate now since what they thought bitcoin price is so expensive for them. But if they look at on other perspective where they aim for long term for sure they can figure out that there's wide opportunities for long term holders and anytime they can execute this DCA method and be successful in future. Maybe they are lacking with deeper research so I guess they should read back the old discussion since for sure there are lot of thing they can learn from it. Although for newbie maybe they are not comfortable since as expected they are afraid for the dump but if they think for investment for sure that bitcoin can give them more good result if they hodl.
292  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: February 29, 2024, 02:50:14 PM
Watch the chart and watch until $RLB reaches the highest price because Bitcoin has reached the price level of $60k now.
The price of $RLB is currently experiencing a decline of up to 7.3%. However, there is potential that $RLB will rise high. So, just in case, don't miss it.

Rollbit - Crypto Futures
I noticed (even before) the price of RLB is not influenced of Bitcoin everytime there's a significant growth. What happen is, when Bitcoin is down, that's the time RLB is moving upward. That's why i'm not surprise if there is no major changes on the price of RLB even Bitcoin is already soaring high currently.

Anyway, still holding my RLB and waiting for the right time to take profit. I had it from airdrop so I have nothing to lose.

Don't expect about it since for sure the focus of people are more into bitcoins that's why there are some left behind that's why maybe RLB and some of alts left behind. But its not actually bad occurrence for RLB since we see how it pump when bitcoin is in bad shape that's why later on once we see bitcoin hype subside a little bit maybe we can see the attention of RLB investor will go back again and start to accumulate waiting for some good movements to happen.

Good that you manage to hold your RLB since for that you have stake for future and who knows that can give you some decent profit once everything goes up especially right now there's big potential for alts to go up.

Actually there are many things here. Where do I start?
It's a good question and we're the same question when I was also a newbie here in the forum.
Where do I begin?
Invest your precious time reading all of those pinned threads or sticky topics that have very important content, that's what you need for now.
The same as other platforms when we're using them, we should know first the terms and conditions, and we should always know the dos and don'ts to avoid restrictions on our account.

We're free to ask and share knowledge here, so don't be shy as long as you follow the rules and guidelines.
If you're here asking how to gain merit, well, forget it, focus on learning instead and it will come to you without noticing it.
I honestly want to gain something from this forum. Here I would like to introduce. Apologies if I made any mistakes in my comments

No you don't commit any mistakes from your comments since its tolerable for newbies. After all you don't have enough knowledge on how this forum works s for sure there's a lot of people will understand your situation especially if you are confuse on something. Gladly you navigate this section since there a lot to learn here.

Although its bit confusing to apply all those suggestions here but try to focus on what you think more interesting and understand it. Once you got knowledge or learn from that suggestion then move to the next topic then learn again. This maybe a long study to be made but for sure all will be worth it especially if you are consistent and have an good attitude and patience to adopt those important matter that can help your crypto career.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC profit taking strategies? on: February 29, 2024, 08:32:12 AM

We currently have around 1.5 BTC, and our ultimate goal is to be able to use that to help us buy a house and be able to retire at some point. Nothing too crazy. I'm hoping this bull cycle we'll be able to at least get a decent down-payment on something, then maybe over the next cycle or two be able to pay it off.

Anyways, the strategy I'm considering is something like, when BTC crosses $100K CAD, (it's currently at $83K CAD) I plan on selling 0.01 BTC per week. Kind of like DCA but in reverse. Then possibly increasing that amount alongside BTC value, so if it crosses $125K, sell 0.0125 BTC per week, 0.015 per week at $150K, etc.

Since it's impossible to predict exactly what will happen to BTC price over the coming bull market, I'm hoping to get a decent return over the course of the cycle without completely selling all of our BTC. Then when it inevitably flips bearish again, start DCAing back in like we have been up to this point.

What do you guys think? Does that sound like a reasonable strategy? Is there anything else I need to consider?

Thanks  :-)

Yeah its reasonable and somehow you can test out the current cycle then maybe you can learn something so in next cycle you can use your current experience to maximize your potential profit in future. Also whatever makes you feel comfortable to sell as long as you are bullish or earning a great profit then everything is fine. Just don't regret on any position you sell and think about you are already gain your desired profit since if you ask for more and be greedy then you might face the consequences of the action that you don't want to be in.

Its great that season is in favor to holders or investors so lets take advantage and take home a good profit brought up by current good happening on the market.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: February 29, 2024, 07:31:26 AM
If the signature payment is among the valuable sources you get money from, then you get paid from the signature space and you ended up using the money to gamble, you will feel bad because it's something you can't afford to risk at that moment. Betting is not free but games are free, you can play a game with your friends in your area but you can't gamble for free. If I lose my signature money on gamble I might feel bad if only I can't afford to risk the money I lost, there's no returning payment when you lose your money in gamble if you didn't win, and winning back your money is not guaranteed because the odds in between each games and options are against you the bettors.
No one would feel happy if they lose. That's why we work for a campaign to earn some money, and then we just gamble it and lose it. There's nothing wrong with gambling, especially if it's your way to support a casino, but the word "limit" is very important. What you earn in a campaign is the same money you'll make when you are working; it will just differ in amount, though, so you need to value both.

I had experience in the past where not only did I lose my money from a campaign but also my money from other income. That's because when I was still younger, I was a bit irresponsible. However, like other gamblers, they'll eventually learn in the long run.
Yeah, we all have to place a limit to everything so as for us to remain at a balance where our actions are overbearing on our finances, A lot of times, those temptations come from the availability of funds in our casino account and for that, we tend to get carried away if care is not taken.

But if have a limit set, we easily follow that limit at will to avoid getting carried away,  and a lot of time this loss mostly occurs when we try to chase a directions.

To avoid getting carried away by some promotions or other things that can affect our decision to take the money from our casino account much better if you withdraw it immediately once it landed on your account. I know sometimes we think that we oblige to gamble but this is not part of the rules set on what you are working for. Just use your hard earned money from the campaign if you think you are fine to lose that, but if you think you can't then withdraw and just perform so well on your task so that you can help your campaign or the platform promoting to get a good exposure. For sure with that its enough for them since their main intention to hire participants is to make their ads visible to any area and to gather a lot of people to gamble.
296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing in on 60k, Again! on: February 28, 2024, 02:20:40 PM
I like Elon, but I thought that was a stupid decision when he sold. I believe it was around 30K and he sold TSLA bitcoin at that price to help deal with the bad markets at the time.

Someone else told me that Tesla still holds a lot of bitcoin and he didn't sell all of it.

Please mention someone else who was he, haha who cares if Ellon is buying Bitcoin or not, Becasue here for the accumulation on the active wallets just 2 to 3 million Bitcoins are available for accumulation and the rest of the supply is in the cold storage which is likely for the long term holding.

Micro strategy is continuously accumulating Bitcoins and now they own trucks of bucks hehe what a ryhme I've made, and they made Billions.

They always include the name of the guy in discussion if there's something good happening on bitcoin while the fact that the guy is just there so that he can manipulate the market. He's not there to support bitcoin but rather find ways to earn money from his manipulative actions from bitcoin. Also he's out on the scene and he didn't create any other noise since he's into Dogecoin now.

Microstrategy situation is good indication for other institutional investor that if they just believe how strong the bitcoin is then they could earn a lot of money similar to them. We can say that long time patience and trust by this company paid off and they can possibly harvest a lot of money especially if bitcoin would record its another new ATH. There's further more price pump to see nowadays as bitcoin halving still have long days before it take effect.

Quote from: nakamura12
When someone learned from a mistake and he/she shared his/her mistake like in the forum for example then those who will read it then they will learn something that they should avoided but it's not always like that where you learned from someone's mistake because you may/might make a mistake yourself and learned from it or maybe not at all. There's a reason why we must make ourselves secured like increasing your wallet's security, high/good privacy by avoiding exchanges that requires KYC, etc.
You can learn from someone mistakes either by reading the person past direction he or she took that made such person to loose everything like the way they use to tell the crypto users to always write their seeds phrase down on a safe place because people have experienced negative things from such situations that made them to lose all their money for other users to learn from their mistakes.

There is a way you will make your wallet to be secure, nobody can hack your wallet because, all the details about that wallet are in your hands but the day you exposed the details to other people, you will start experiencing some negative things from your wallet.
There experiences is good tool for us to learn something especially if we want to know that what are the things we need to consider to avoid so that we will not lose and experience bad things since its really bad for us to lose especially on unknown situations.

Good that we have different kinds of platform which we can search any information and statements regarding on their experiences thru what we are trying to learn from them. Its better for us to know what's secured and what is not so we can make our funds safe at any means that can cause us harms. I know sometimes its hard for us to understand things but consistent reading of information place for sure we became more great especially for taking critical decisions for safe keeping our funds also with investments we made.
298  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Join BetFury Crypto Staking |🔥Get the highest APRs up to 170% on: February 28, 2024, 09:32:32 AM
Surprisingly, it looks like the Betfury team is still interested in making BFG a more valuable token. So, this time, they suggest reducing the circulating supply and implementing the BFG lock on the chain. What do you guys think about this vote on Betfury's site? Will this have a positive impact on the BFG price as they expect or not?

I'm glad that the casino is doing something to boost the token's price. Perhaps this initiative won't immediately affect the price of BFG. But if Betfury continues to come up with more initiatives to increase the token's price and doesn't stop there, then it's quite possible that sooner or later they will find a way to raise the price of BFG and please us. I hope Betfury will continue to cater to BFG holders and come up with new initiatives that will positively impact the token's price.

At least they do something but let see if this will be converted into good since if people doesn't see anything happen after those counter measures implemented then I guess we can expect to see them remain what currently status they are on.

But for now let see if there's some changes to happen after they cast that voting since maybe they want to see the people statement regarding on what they want to happen on betfury in future. Also I guess after those actions they have done people could open up the suggestion about exchange listing since maybe this can make the other people supporters became alive again to support back this token.
299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin ! on: February 28, 2024, 08:35:32 AM
Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin now before it is too late !

Is bitcoin price going to be above the $100 K end of the next 6 months ?

If it does, its mean it will cross  $150K by 25 December 2024.

If you just got FOMO on situation better think about many things that can possibly affect your decisions. Although its good to buy at whatever price you want but you need to consider that any negative things that will come especially that bitcoin price is rising and we might see some pull backs that will happen and we should assure that we are fine if that scenario will came since if we are a type of person which easily got carried away with situation then I think its not best for us to buy while bitcoin price is pumping.

Don't think about there's late things on bitcoin  since anyone could enter at what price they want, but its important to consider some things especially their emotions so that they will not suffer from bad consequences of the action they done. We know that bitcoin price is pumping but we should know what is our target so that there's no confusion will happen and we can always hold to our created plan and we will never get distracted on anything that temporarily showing us in the market.

We don't know yet what will be the price to reach but its good to speculate about huge price to reach and let see if that one will achieve by bitcoin for this year.

Sorry guys I have to make this thread self-moderated to keep spam off from making garbage comments on this thread.

Now my experience today,  so I got my weekly signature payment only stake account few hours ago,  and for some reason, I decided to gamble with it and bet on the Newcastle vs Blackburn rovers and with a draw for the games I chose which gave me an 2.5 odds at the time of staking the bet,  but at the end,  the,  Newcastle first made the first goals score making the match to stand at 1:0 at that point,  I made used of the available cash out which was almost a 60% lose from my initial bet amount,  but then I thought it better than losing all at the end.

Now I staked another bet with my remaining available balance and also I lost the bet and that brought my balance back to zero which means I lost all the money paid to me back to the stake casino, this reality triggered up this question in me.

How do you see losing your payment to the casino?

Do you see losing your payment back to the casino as your own form of indirect support for the project?

Do you think that I already have a bad gambling mindset thinking that by engaging in one or two bets or games I am supporting the project I promote?

This topic is for general discussions,  but I would like to hear and read what those who are promoting casinos/book markers that pay them directly into their casino accounts.

If no one for you to do so then I guess its fine to use your earned money to place your bet. But if you are worried on things and think about its simple way to support the project you are promoting then that doesn't make any sense at all. You are already supporting them by displaying their banner ads on their signature and it give plus points when you post in their thread, I think for this that's enough for manager since what they like is the spread their ads so that there's a lot of people could see it.

But if you think doing that is kind of indirect support of project then its fine as long as you are willing to risk some campaign earnings and I don't see any problem with it.

Nope that's not bad gambling mindset since I think you are exploring and just want to impress the people behind the project. But you don't really need to spend if you don't feel it since for sure the campaign owners doesn't require you to do that.
