281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Christmas And BTC? on: December 20, 2017, 06:58:50 AM
Most people are now busy preparing for Christmas. Buying gifts, attending parties, etc. I myself did a lot of profit taking to be able to celebrate the holidays in style. Would love to give bitcoins as a gift.

It's true that some people will sell bitcoins or at least some satoshies to have some extra money for the holidays. But I don't think that would be such big amount to influence the demand and supply ratio and the price in some significant way. So, I don't expect some huge price drop and disturbance on the market, usual volatility and nothing to panic for.
Regarding the gifts, some bitcoins as a gift would make me very happy too.  Grin
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.com co-founder sells all his BTC for BTC Cash on: December 19, 2017, 01:33:40 PM
I'm not buying this. Another attempt to bring the confusion and panic among bitocin users for very selfish puposes. Bitcoin cash is not the future and can't replace bitcoin, it's the altcoin with not so very bright future.
This is not the first case to try to underestimate bitcoin and to spread false information which doesn't surprise me having in mind the current bitcoin success and how that is annoying certain people.
283  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is viabtc transaction accelerator really working? on: December 19, 2017, 10:07:28 AM
Do you have to click the confirm at exactly the top of the hour at 0 seconds as well?

Actually no. You have to submit your unconfirmed transaction on the full hour but only when they are crowded with demands, usualy when the whole bitcoin network is working slow for some reason or there are some issues with transactions confirmation. In any other case you can submit transactions in any time of the day.
But even if you have to submit the transaction on the full hour that doesn't have to be exactly on a minute, you have about 5 minutes time to submit the transaction. For example if you try to upload on 20:00 p.m. your last attempt makes sense at 20:05. If you don't succeed then you can try again on 21:00 p.m. and have another 5 minutes to upload the transaction. Hope this is clear.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: December 19, 2017, 08:18:03 AM
At the moment botcoin is the kind of investment where you can earn the most. Much more than with stocks, real estate, gold, art pieces, jewllery or something else. Maybe also the most risky but also the easier to cope with. And you don't have to have very large capital to start investing in bitcoin although the price is very high and there is no the lowest or highest amount that is obliges/allowed to invest like in some other types of investment.
285  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Zero fee transactions on: December 18, 2017, 07:50:06 PM
I think zero fee transactions are no good solution. Too much risk for not being confirmed at all, too unreliable.. Especialy with so fast and sudden rise of network, all this transactions are hard to take.
Bitcoin transactions fees got to a realy high level and that makes users sometimes very angry. But it was expected that with bitcoin price the fees will also rise. Besides, everything has the price, there is nothing for free, so the bitcoin transactions too. And somebody has to live out of that too.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful, bitcoin will correct on: December 18, 2017, 06:18:25 PM
Of course that price will correct, this is nothing new. Volatility is normal part of bitcoin price and something that traders make money on. The correction could be few hundreds or even few thousands of dollars but the crash will not happen and the price will maintain rather high level. If you think that bitcoin would go back to 3000$ or 5000$ or so than you are wrong.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to earn bitcoins from playing games? on: December 18, 2017, 01:57:10 PM
I remember there were some options on google play and similar where you could find the games for bitcoin but I'm not sure if this still exists. Also there are faucets or even gambling if you want dfferent kind of games and some excitement.
But I would say this is all waist of time for very little profit usually not worth the effort. Try rather with some job for bitcoins if you have some skills or sell some digital good for bitcoin, join the signature campaign when you have appropriate rank. Don't expect that you will make money by playing games.
288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whats more profitable Day Trading or Trade for weeks on: December 18, 2017, 10:00:56 AM
I will say that daily trading could be very profitable but also very risky. It takes time and skills and if you are brend newin that you might have difficulties. Trading on a weekly basis is very similar and there is no receipe for success so try to get some knowledge first and collect some informations from trusted sources. You also have to develope your own strategy and goal you want to achieve in certain period of time. And don't count on profit only. If trading was so easy then everyone would have been millionaires by now. Trust me, it's harder than you think.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the 21 milion of bitcoin a real limit? on: December 17, 2017, 06:10:11 PM
Yep, 21million is a limit and it can't be increased. Bitcoin is made/programed that way because of mathematic algorithms and this can't be changed. Not even by forks, like some are saying, this is just an attepmt to justify multiple forks. If the limit is good thing, the time will tell.
I think once we reach the limit, although that wouldn't be that soon, the price will explode and demand could rise rapidly.
290  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BE BITCOIN PRICE 25-30 K END OF THE 2018? on: December 17, 2017, 02:05:06 PM
Very possible, now it's almost 20000$ so the value of 25 or 30 K will not be so hard to achieve if the growth continue to be so fast. But that also depends on the number of announced forks for the next year, if they are going to happen and in what extend and how will bitcoin system be able to cope with increasing number of users, what will be the situation with miners, how will regulation and legalization or bans advancing. There are lot of factors who could influence that.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it not very very easy to steal Bitcoin or any Cryptocurrency? on: December 16, 2017, 07:46:36 PM
It's not ea easy because bitcoin system was build also with security system. Not everyone has the access to it because there are private keys there are numberless hashes to compare in blockchain. If this was easy then bitcoin system would function very bad for the users and they would feel very unsecure having and operating with bitcoin. But luckily I think bitcoin is one of the most secure system by design.
292  Economy / Economics / Re: STOP #HODL go #INWEST on: December 16, 2017, 12:11:58 PM
I can agree that only holding bitcoin is not enough and bitcoin was not made just to be held in wallets, it should be used actively and that ways it fulfills the purpose. But investing is risky and takes certain knowledge, dedication and experiences and that is the reason why many users just like to hold it, that takes no efforts and they don't have to occupy with bitcoin, it's easier way.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin get legal legalization of all the countries on any given day? on: December 16, 2017, 08:22:21 AM
Maybe you have put it wrong way, legalization in one particular day will not happen. But what might happen is that group of countries decide to regulate bitcoin. For example within European Union directives are acts that regulate certain areas and they aply to all countries within EU equaly.
I think that will happen with bitcoin too. Directive will be written that will regulate bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies on the EU teritory and to my opinion this might happen rather soon.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Will Change Everything on: December 15, 2017, 09:16:43 AM
Bitcoin has already changed everything, tehre is no doubt about it. Cryptocurrencies and especially bitcoin have takes the specialplace in financies and not so log time ago that place was reseved only for traditional banking and fiat currencies. Bitcoin has started some kid of finacial revolution the moment it appeared and in the future it will be even more important. With time it will change and grow like whole cryptocurrencies market but it will not disappear.
295  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken account locked, support isn't helping, what can I do? on: December 14, 2017, 06:52:28 PM
I have to say I'm surprised with such information about Kraken. I've also read similar about Bitstamp. So what is happening with all this legitimate and trustworthy exchangers? Is their customer support realy so bad or they just aren't prepared for increased number of users and issues whic therefore appear?
Anyway, if some security rules or terms of use are changing users should be informed about that on time in their best interest.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Carrying Hardware Wallets When Traveling Internationally on: December 14, 2017, 03:38:02 PM
As far as I know this rule only applies if you carry cash in such amount or more then you have the obligation to declare, not credit cards or any other goods. And since bitcoin is not regulated in every country on the same way or is not regulated at all what exactly would you declare.
On the other hand it's interesting point, I never thought of hard wallets that way.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will people lose intrest? on: December 14, 2017, 01:41:56 PM
It's hard to beleive that people will lose interest in bitcoin and that could only happen if bitcoin would be completely ruined. But at this moment cryptocurrencies have already become something quite normal and usual and people wouldn't like anymore to function without them so some other crypto could maybe take the number one place. Like Ethereum for example although I don't think that it could make such revolution like bitcoin.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth? on: December 14, 2017, 06:57:50 AM
Social media are not crucial for bitcoin growth but surely have some influence. They are one of the most powerful media today and people strongly take informations and suggestion they see and read there so it's also great way to promote the bitcoin. Social media helped to increase the number of bitcoin users and that is the positive impact but there is also a catch - huge space for manipulation so it's also important to be careful how social media are used not to get the wrong direction.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sending fees... are you serious? on: December 13, 2017, 08:46:40 PM
Fees are high, that is true but with such high bitcoin price it is illusion to expect for fees to stay low. Would bitcoin ecosystem be sustainable with low fees? Maybe with some agreement or consensus with miners they could be more moderate or find some solution at least not to go higher anymore. But the question is how else could network with such big increase of users survive and develope further.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Potential mining ban in China, effects on market? on: December 13, 2017, 06:17:23 PM
China has the bigest and probably the most powerful mining farms so such ban would influence the market. But only on short term, temporary because chinese miners definetely wouldn't give up mining bitcoin they would just relocate their equipement so at the end that wouldn't have significant effect. I suggest not to panic and be paranoid before anything has even happened or there are solid information about it.
