281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟 [ANN] BitAsean(BAS) the cryptocurrency of ASEAN 🌟🌟🌟 on: June 24, 2017, 07:25:00 PM
Wow, this is the cheapest coin there is. At 300 sats, that puts the total market cap at only 12 BTC! That's ridiculous. XDN has just slightly higher nethash for a nearly 10,000 BTC market cap. That's what, at least 500 times greater market cap to nethash! Yeah, this definitely needs to go on a reputable exchange ASAP.

That's why I think the hashrate is so high. They know its going to be worth a lot more.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟 [ANN] BitAsean(BAS) the cryptocurrency of ASEAN 🌟🌟🌟 on: June 24, 2017, 07:10:13 PM
it was nice when diffuculty wasn't that high Sad

High difficulty is a price for a high interest. Look to SUMO coin, it had price less 1000sats a month ego, now it trading more than 10k and as a consequence increased net hashrate. Think BAS will be for South Asia people like a SUMO for Japan people.
Hash Rate: 619.77 KH/sec  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

And a difficulty of 35 million.

Pretty sure this means this coin will at least be worth $0.25 possibly more.

Dev needs to get this on more exchanges as soon as possible so it can be properly valued.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟 [ANN] BitAsean(BAS) the cryptocurrency of ASEAN 🌟🌟🌟 on: June 24, 2017, 04:02:47 AM
Net hashrate increase to 180 kH  Shocked

Price usually follows hashrate so this is a good indicator not to sell these coins cheaply on CryptoDao. The developer said they think a $0.25 price for the coin is realistic once it is on more exchanges.  Looks like people agree.

FantomCoin (FCN) is similar to BitASEAN (BAS) and is currently valued at $0.10 on HitBTC.

Can someone clarify, is the current block reward 5 ELE or 1 ELE?

Dev team has got huge plans for this project. BAS will be used amongst other things as a currency to pay locals in ASEAN region, inflation from fiat currency will be a thing of the past, as there will ever only be a finite number of BAS in existence.

What does this mean for YOU, say you would want to go on holiday in PHI PHI Thailand, lay yourself down on one of those pristine awesome beaches and pay for it all with BAS.

Where would you prefer to go on holiday - Thailand or Malaysia, maybe take a short trip by Singapore as well  Smiley Wink Cool

I believe this project is going to be huge, get in now while its still VERY CHEAP!!

Sounds good but i steel do not understand one thing - what different between other
currency and ASEAN currenсy ? Why we will use BAS but not BTC/LTC for example ?

I think I can answer this.

I'm not from the ASEAN region but I have visited there frequently. Mostly Thaland and Myanmar.

1. Privacy and fungibility. Some governments in the ASEAN region are not friendly to cryptocurrency and also in some parts of countries it is common for people to be shaken down. With BTC or LTC everyone can see how much money you have in your wallet and there are sophisticated software which can associate a BTC (or LTC) address with an individual. Having something with a privacy focus will appeal to people in the ASEAN region more than something more open like Bitcoin.

2. Marketing. There are no issues with poor translations etc since BitASEAN is created by developers from the ASEAN region. Here is an example from the BitASEAN twitter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKr0hKvV1Qw

3. BitASEAN was created in the ASEAN region (in Thailand). Just as China loves Litecoin in part because its creator Charlie Lee is Chinese-American and Russia likes Ethereum because Vitalik Buterin is Russian-Canadian, and Japan loves Monacoin because it was created by someone Japanese it could be that BitASEAN is seen in a similar light since it was created in ASEAN, by people from ASEAN for use by other people from ASEAN and the world in general which feeds back into #2 again.

I have a similar view of the matter. I have also been on holiday in the region and would love to use BAS in Thailand. Malaysia, Vietnam and others, would be so much easier to use cryptocurrency in all of Asean region. My view is that they (countries) would rally around a cryptocurrency they can regard as homegrown/their own. Just imagine the demand for BAS locally if it would take over for Bath, Ringit and other regional fiat currencies, would be huge demand from both the US, Europe and China from holiday travellers.

Exactly.

This is why I am very interested in it. It would seem like the ASEAN region might be the next to catch the cryptocurrency fever since these are growing economies full of technologically sophisticated millenials who are used to sending things instantly. Why not money? Additionally it would make tourism easier having one currency for the whole region.

That is why when I saw this buried in a million other announcements I became interested and I suspect that is why there is a lot of interest in mining and trading it. It's a region of the world where cryptocurrency is set to take off.

when open ico selling and open bounty, if ready i want to join bounty

There is no ICO. It's a mineable coin. The good, honest old fashioned way of distributing coins.

More and more people are interested in this project.Good job, guys Wink

Just judging by the net hashrate which is 10 times what it was last week, this could be a Top 100 Market Cap coin if it hits big exchanges. A lot of people are interested in it and mining it.

That's right, things are going in the right direction and the only way is up right now  Smiley

Someone bought some BAS at 990 satoshis today: https://cryptodao.com/site/index/BAS/BTC

I think Bittrex would be better than Poloniex due to Poloniex's withdrawal issues a lot of traders have moved to Bittrex.

Cryptopia should probably be the next exchange which picks this up.

True,a lot of problem happened in poloniex withdrawal,
And most of their trader moved to bittrex,it's good to have another exchanger
But,we should make it slowly.it's not good to hope and also force it into big exchanger because
If we force it,a whale can crush it in one night.so it would be nice if we can spread the coins so the whales cannot monopolize it and also they can not crush it in one day, like they did in other coin
It would be good if the dev paid the listing on the exchange yobit

Do you know how much that costs?

Rather than banners, I'd like a whitepaper and roadmap from the developer. Otherwise all the marketing in the world won't set it apart if people just see it as some random coin with no roadmap.

BAS price hit 200sats on Cryptodao Shocked Damn it's sexy  Wink

btw, want to sell 130k BAS for 200sats each.PM Wink

Good luck. I think a lot of miners are holding in hopes of it getting listed on a bigger exchange like Bittrex. It could easily go for 2000 satoshis or more there. Kinda like what happened with Pascalcoin.

297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: June 18, 2017, 02:22:43 AM
Under existing hardware infrastructure, cryptocurrency is technically under the mercy of telecommunication and government technology industries. Coupled with both the development of software and hardware, Nexus seeks to free men from centralized financial institutions.

Is this even feasible? How would you bypass gov regulations and actually launch tech in space? Don't they have all the power to stop something like that if they felt it would threaten their businesses?

The only regulations with regard to items launched in space are the international agreements regarding frequency bands for communications to and from space and international agreements with regards to stuff coming back to Earth.

Beyond that it's as free as it gets. Anyone can launch a satellite these days. Over here. Middle schools do it.

I have a question unrelated to this: What's up with the mining? Is CPU mining still viable on say a 12 core E5? What are the latest CPU and GPU miners?
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QRL - Announcing the Quantum Resistant Ledger on: June 16, 2017, 05:46:34 AM
First, congrats for your initiative and work on QRL.

But Quantum Resistant Ledger can not be tested without a Quantum attack, even if you apply theory and mathematics, we are still far from Quantum computing and have no insight about its capabilities.

Thanks. But we do know already that Shor's Algorithm had been used to factor small numbers with early quantum computer prototypes. It is true we may be some way off from such machines breaking ECDSA - but the honest answer is we cannot be sure! Smiley

Update: I have begun implementing POS on the test node.

SO this is going to be totally POS no POW at all?
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZENCASH: Permanent, Distributed, and Fully Anonymous cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2017, 08:43:59 PM
Anyone else having trouble with payouts from the ZEN or ZCL pools on CryptoBroker.io?

I have been waiting for two manual payout transactions which never seemed to appear on the blockchain:

I have tried using their "Contact Us" form several times but its been several days in the case of the ZCL transaction and I have yet to hear a response.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: looking to make LARGE purchase of Ethereum on: May 19, 2017, 06:13:51 PM
i dont want to sell any of my bitcoins.

I just want to exchange more fiat for crypto.  Services make it a pain with their limits and paperwork.

You can use Coinbase, Kraken or Gemini to buy Ether directly via bank or paypal.
