281  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments on: November 21, 2019, 04:44:58 PM
The government's job is to control everything in your country, they don't like the uncontrollable things, from the internet or the banking system, everything is monitored by the government and it is impossible for bitcoin manipulation because it is a decentralized system, in addition to the transaction is not taxed or disclosed personal information, it can lead to money laundering actions, which can damage the country's exchange rate ... so accepting cryptocurrencies is not yet possible, but I believe that in the near future the government will see how big the benefits of cryptocurrencies are and maybe they will amend laws to make cryptocurrencies legal.

Let's also remember that governments are just there to protect all of us, it is not because they are too greedy that they can't control it so they can't regulate it, but they just wanted to protect those people especially who has lack of knowledge in investing, as we all know it is very hard to accused scammers and file a case to them, so let's just understand them in a positive way.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in BTC vs Invest in Real Estate? on: November 21, 2019, 04:13:26 PM
You can find names of people doing real estate among richest people of the world. No doubt, it is a good investment. It can return you big profits but the game is not too easy to play and neither the profit earned takes place in short period of time. Can we imagine kids becoming millionaire by investing in real estate? Bitcoin and altcoins are for every one. You can become rich with very small investments and at a very young age.

During the 1990s and the first decade of this millennium, the real estate prices went up by a lot (especially in the suburbs and the rural areas), and that's why a lot many new billionaires were created. But for the last 6-7 years, the growth have been more muted, and it looks as if the market has reached a state of saturation. At the most, you can expect 5% or 10% appreciation per year from real estate and it is not very realistic to expect those returns that we witnessed during the 90s (with a few exceptions).
Before bitcoin become popular on 2016 many people only invest their money with real estate because the only one investing available to get profit with safety than other investing, after bitcoin become famous many investor from real estate try for investing with bitcoin where can increase higher price more than 100% just few day later, if using for real estate investment need about two or three year to get much profit.

Still over past years although the Bitcoin is in the booming years already, still there's a lot of people investing on it, that time I was too immature that I couldn't get why they are investing for example, house and lot, but they are just buying it for them to lease to other people which will just give them low income, so for it's a waste of money, and now I realized the real value of it that appreciates over the years.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: November 21, 2019, 03:52:12 PM
Who here uses Bitcoin daily or lives on the financial crypto market?
I personally use Bitcoin wherever I possibly can, and accept it directly without converting it to fiat immediately. I have been using Bitcoin daily for years. (Ever since Bitpay started improving its Bitcoin debitcard product)

I try to use bitcoin in daily life. But btc is illegal in our country that's why I can't use it properly.Bought a used phone from my friend and paid it via bitcoin. Also i bought huge amount of digital products via bitcoin. But maximum time need to exchange btc for fiat.if our country accept bitcoin then i will use my btc daily to buy product Smiley

In which country you are from by the way? That's sad that your government is restricting the way you were using crypto, it must have been difficult for you to cash out your fund.

Anyway, let's not worry about it we will for sure become one and that is to have a cashless society, so far in our country, we can use this to pay our bills and to deposit directly to our bank account/s.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: November 20, 2019, 02:11:22 PM
We are not that fool enough as I know there were some of us here who has been holding their coins, believe and had hoped for it had been become rich, so for me this is a word that makes most of the investors becomes rich. It may not applicable to most of the project, but still it has been a great help for all of us to have our hope for the future.Let's be wise in choosing the right coin/token to hold.
285  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Pillar token holders, may pag-asa paba umangat ito? on: November 20, 2019, 01:34:03 PM

286  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: November 20, 2019, 09:40:41 AM
Lol. This is so funny. For you to have called it free money, it shows you expect too much than you worked for. In as much as you have been promised a certain price at a certain time, it would be in your interest to know that the promisers are no soothsayers. Neither are they time travelers.
The crypto world is an unpredictable place. No assurance! Anybody who assures you of anything isn’t telling the truth.

The OP is only affected by McAfee's deception, maybe just giving a joke to all connoisseurs of cryptocurrency but there are those who give serious responses like this one so that he feels victorious and feels he can get free money.

It is like that many are still believing on McAfee's perspective that is not clear. I am one's deceived by his maneuver when I am new here, but when I lost a lot of money because of him. I never suggest him to my friends. only words came out of her mouth. he couldn't stand what he was saying. don't listen to him. don't fall into his trap, if you don't want to lose interest in crypto and lose money. he is the only one who proves that we should gather knowledge so that we do not merely manipulate.
What your opinion McAffec did you still trust him or not, I think waste your time if believe with McAffe prediction about bitcoin and some altcoin project price, you have trust with your self and how push your skill to predict with bitcoin and altcoin price, better looking for many information to support with your altcoin investing.

That's the problem in cryptocurrency and to people, they can easily believe and trust the team, they are not thinking well if this is possible, they believe in flowery words of the core team and hoping that they can change their life that easily, so for me, let should be very careful in every project, we should not trust that easily, we can invest if we think they are legit but not too much, proper investigation, asking other opinions should be considered.
287  Economy / Economics / Re: finding investors on: November 20, 2019, 07:24:37 AM
When ever a new company/startup looking to raise/start its business, they do consider one of many ways to find investors Through top-tier business schools, industry friends, Angel investor networks, Crowd funding and by city's entrepreneurial community. All that by Proving they are market ready.
I am myself trying to do the same, failing multiple times at finding investors and funding my business. (I have not reached the phase of giving up yet)
I want just to get some advice on bitcoin investors. do they exist? how can I find them? can they invest in real world project not just invest in online projects. Can bitcoin be one of the ways that a company/startup can seek to raise up? having patience as an enemy, making hasty decisions, having hope, and sometimes lack of knowledge is it a good idea to seek the bitcoin way.
And I quot "The biggest risk is not taking any risk... In a world that changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks." Mark Zuckerberg
Is using bitcoin investment worth the risk? more people will go with the normal and stable flow because bitcoin is too risky. Personally i think it is worth the risk, but how can a person grantee and secure his startup, bitcoin investment knowing that many countries do not accept bitcoin as a legitimate money and therefore no business contract can be made.

Ps: I apologies for my English.
You can find bitcoin investors everywhere in this forum. You can have a conversation with one of them and get some tips on how you can be a successful investor. It would be a great for you if you are just a beginner because experience will always be the greatest teacher of all time and all those experience can only be found from those who have already spent a lot of time in the crypto world. You can also get some new knowledge from them which you can use to find a good investment and to avoid trouble from scams and fraud.

Almost all people here are crypto enthusiast, whether they are just newbie here or expert already, once they found out that a certain project is interesting, that the team were all expert in their field, the goal and their project is promising that you can say will succeed in the future, then for sure whether not expert in investing, they will invest on it as well as bounty participants, as most of them are checking the capacity of the project whether good to join or not. It's just depend on the core team how they will handle their project, how they will run on it to impress investors.
288  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Off-Topics] Pilipinas on: November 19, 2019, 04:52:11 PM

289  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [DISCUSSION] Paano Makatulong Sa Pagpigil ng Bitcoin/Crypto Investment Scams? on: November 19, 2019, 04:34:21 PM

290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: November 19, 2019, 04:08:17 PM
Cryptocurrencies can be a great opportunity for everyone, but there's still no guarantee, especially for projects that give you big prizes. The prize may not be received but the investment is not necessarily profitable. be careful.

We should know by now and then that crypto CEO/founder are doing their best for them to manipulate everything, they can actually make a good campaign bonus just to call the attention of bounty hunters, so we should be ready with it, we should not be too much excited for it as there is no assurance at all, the least thing we can do is to check whether they are worth to invest at.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggest invest in small amount on: November 19, 2019, 03:18:12 PM
rather than investing in IEO, it's better to try trading, in my opinion that's enough to start trading capital. try visiting binance, there are lots of coins that have the potential to make a pretty good profit on there. my suggestion try to buy and trade XLM or BNB. if you don't want to trade, you can just buy and hold it as investment.
I don't think it will be a good choice for an inexperienced trader to start crypto trading. The volatile crypto markets have a double sword which sometimes gives profit and loss, the experienced traders have the ability to determine the short term trend with the money management skills, market understanding. Investing in the promising altcoins looks like the best idea in this case.

For now the right thing to do if I were about to suggest to the OP is to make observation first about the market, let him watch closely regarding Bitcoin for a week, then I would let him join bounty campaign first, with this he's learning how to check good project as well can explore the social media and the forum, I would also just suggest him to just invest in Bitcoin first at small amount he can afford to lose.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I think all crypto is scam on: November 19, 2019, 02:50:01 PM
It depends on the person perception, for some that was victim of scam, cannot understand trading, didn't earn from bounty, didn't understand the technology and what blockchain, smart contract really is. But for the opposite person, those who are earning from those stated, for those who earned a lot from investment has a positive feedback and they think that crypto is not a scam at all but it is a modern 'gold'.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone. on: November 18, 2019, 04:20:17 PM
The scarcity of Bitcoin along with potentially high fees may make it not practical for every day use.  Not only this, but other altcoins have specific utilities that make them better for a particular use. Ethereum for smart contracts or Monero for security, etc.

We are aware that some altcoins has a great future too, although in the future there were majority of the altcoins that will be valued at Zero. Still, I don't give up with altcoins, I know that Bitcoin will not be the kind and most powerful and will be famous just like it has right now without the use and help of altcoins. We don't need to give up in altcoins, we just need to be more careful and let the project which has a real value will remain.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Extra weeks added to bounty campaign on: November 18, 2019, 04:04:44 PM
To all bounty hunters on this wonderful forum i want to know if its advisable to continue with the bounty you have been promoting for 12weeks that got extra 8weeks added more, have you promote projects this long that ends up with good end results? Thank you
working for too long for the project is not a good idea
the main reason for them to extend the bounty is because the token is failed to reach the current goal
by getting more investor and extending the project will result in a lower value of the token

Exactly, so once a certain project has enough time to do their ICO then after few weeks, they started to tell bounty campaign will be extended, then you should do your part and investigate about what is the real happen, is the softcap not reached yet, or no investors at all yet, besides you can check it as the bockchain is not lying, so there is a way for us to know the truth if the team doesn't want to answer.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dealing with cryptocurrency (in my country) isn't easy as I thought on: November 18, 2019, 03:49:56 PM
I guess I’m lucky to live in a country where a company which offers multiple services aside from storing a couple of cryptocurrencies, you can buy load and even pay your bills using cryptocurrencies or fiat through their app. Also you can withdraw your crypto assets hy converting it to fiat then withdraw it in the bank. Also the company is registered in our central bank.

So it is kind of surprising for me to have heard about your unfortunate circumstances that you’re facing in your respective country.
I'm also lucky to live in a country similar to what you describe
as a crypto user, it is very convenient to live in a country that crypto is accepted
but when mass adoption come I hope it will be the same all over the world.

For those who are having issue with their country regarding restriction in using cryptocurrency, still you are lucky as your government is not banning it, so let's still take it as a positive way and let's enjoy the fact that we can access it thru the internet and there's still chance the adoption in every country will be present, not yet too late so let's wait for that moment.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin and the games industry? on: November 18, 2019, 02:55:24 PM
Considering all the ICOs I saw that was claiming that they would be the first to use Cryptocurrencies as in-game rewards and not a single one of them turned out to be a reality, it's quite disappointing but I think this is just the early stage, many of these gaming giants are based in countries where Cryptocurrencies are still seen as slightly illegal and it's likely that most of them are just waiting for the government to give the green light on Cryptocurrencies and we would start seeing an improvement in that area, infact there might be a competition on who might do it first.
ive seen a lot of ICO last year they all failed in their projects , I dont know why it happens, maybe because the team and developer doesnt have enough support on their projects, maybe also their plan is not possible and feasible, they can use bitcoin for online purchases of items in their games I dont know any games that are already doing it or having it I hope that someone will have an idea with this.

Due to scam ICO's around the internet, so most of the project was failed and that includes ICO's for gaming industry, and we cannot blame investors for getting tired in investing because they have no return with their investment, and most of them are scam. Gaming industry is one of the thing that makes crypto famous actually so I am also wondering why most of them failed, maybe because people chooses trading now over gambling.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify Cryptocurrency Scams on: November 18, 2019, 02:23:26 PM
I might add some more to these in order to understand a scam cryptocurrency. Firstly, we need to check the raise amount, if it is too high, this will be suspicious. Team should put a low limit to increase their motivation for the upcoming investments. On the other hand, if they offer incredible bonuses, it is probably scam. This is pre-ICO. If they hide somehow, check these details and decide to buy their coins or not.
I will agree to you sometimes an ICO faking what they raised so when it is listed in the market they will sell it there . They faked it to create hype to investors that will look like a good coin to invest but actually they just want to sell it to investors In exchange. Since they have more of the supply they can easily manipulate the price and faked the demand by seting buy Orders

They are manipulating as long as they can, sometimes they are saying that they have reached the hard cap but they can't even enter a good exchange, they just listing on an exchange which is free and no actual volume at all. So, for me, that's very obvious that they are not telling the truth, especially if they can't provide what was the actual raised, or proof of what have been collected and where are they going to use those fund.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Does China Control Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 05:00:32 PM
Of course not, There aren't any countries that control Bitcoin, including China, even though they have the largest technology and Bitcoin mining in the world. China is a country with sophisticated technology today, they can manipulate the price of Bitcoin because Bitcoin is widely circulating there.

That's why China hated Bitcoin because they cannot control it, remember that China would like to be the number one in everything so they are banning and saying negative thing about Bitcoin because they don't hold much of it, and now they will compete with Bitcoin as they will announce soon their own coin. This maybe the reason why the banned the mining in their country, it might be the reason that they want to buy at cheap or they are cooking their own.
299  Economy / Economics / Re: How to prevent fraud? on: November 17, 2019, 04:40:02 PM
Everything that sounds too good to be true it's suspicious, start with that. Among so many projects and opportunities sometimes it's hard to decide what to choose and what might be a scam but always check every information you can and try to do background check, internet can help you with that. Don't be tempted with promise of high profit, that is very often a trap.

I learned also that once a project has not launched yet, but the price was pumping, meaning to say that the team was just pumping the price and they care too much about it more than the development, because real project would like to develop first then the price will follow once they have proven themselves, so I am very careful for now and as much as possible, I am not investing in a project that has not launched yet.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should answer the important questions to increase Bitcoin adoption on: November 17, 2019, 04:10:44 PM

Personally, I agree with you regarding identifying the problems and challenges we think Bitcoin can easily solve but the challenge regarding why people are finding it difficult to adapt to the use of Bitcoin is that the majority don't understand the whole idea of Bitcoin and the way it operates. This has brought fear in people because they have the perceptions that they can easily lose their money. Also, the volatile nature of bitcoin is making it difficult for people to adopt the use of Bitcoin for their transactions. Knowledge and understanding are the only way that can help the adoption of Bitcoin into the mainstream financial ecosystem.

We can actually contribute and share these information to newbies by conducting seminars/blockchain events or meet ups in different places in your country, you just need to have fund in different projects, with this it helps a lot of people to reach and to ask questions regarding experts opinions and what blockchain is, the importance of it, why it has been trending for the past years, what are the disadvantages and so on, with this we are helping people as well as Bitcoin community.
