2801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi just sold his mined Bitcoins from 2010 on: August 30, 2017, 08:54:32 AM
Alright... sorry for the clickbait but it looks like some very very early early adopter is cashing out

https://blockchain.info/tx/4b60dc9cd051f4489420018bf52ead4f1f1377b0e0b4f2bc552f31b2649230ab

Most were mined beginning of 2010 which at the time bitcoin had no value.
There is no proof that whoever is transferring this much btc is actually cashing out, the address may be a new cold storage or an exchange.

We can't really say that this is Satoshi selling, but it could be a possibility that he is cashing out.

That's 12Mil dollars, so I guess whoever cashed out is probably living in a mansion now. Good luck to him.
2802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do governments don't make BTC illegal worldwide ? on: August 30, 2017, 08:23:10 AM
I'm wondering this because is such a real threat to bank system and we all know how banks and governments are tightly linked !

BTC could make people more autonomous, self-resilient, being their own bank. You can use it like cash, making your transaction almost untraceable (or untraceable using e.g. monero or dash or laundry systems) : this is governments worst nightmare, isn't it ?

Whats the point of just banning bitcoin, when people will just get outraged since they would have lost money, and they would go to extreme lengths to get back that money.

Instead the governments are now taxing bitcoin and they are able to earn some money off of this. They still might fear it in the future, but right now, it seems that the government doesn't really mind Bitcoin.

2803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin huge fees on: August 30, 2017, 06:41:08 AM
now i make a transction For 9$ i pay 3$ fee in blockchain.info
shapeshift charged me to change 20$ from ethereum to bitcoin 10$. 50% commision ! nasty greedy company.
the fees in bitcoin are way higher than banks

The fee has nothing to do with the amount sent, which in this example is 9$. If you sent a huge transaction, it probably would also be around the same price. This is one of the reasons why bitcoin is not that good nowadays for smaller transactions which are under 100.

Segwit2x should fix some of the issues and it is coming soon so just sit tight and wait for that to occur before you make any smaller transactions. With the increasing price, transactions are getting more and more expensive.
2804  Economy / Reputation / Re: A list of people trying to sell accounts, Potentially hacked/bought accounts. on: August 25, 2017, 07:18:42 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2117234.0

Here is an account seller!

Looks worthwhile to tag him, he made the mistake of selling this account on a senior member account. If you look at his past posts he is also selling hero and full member accounts in bulk. They are probably hacked.

Also the account has email and password changed recently, so it may also be hacked/sold.
2805  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I WAS SCAMMED BY A LEGENDARY MEMBER (glen123) on: August 24, 2017, 07:50:56 AM
Hi all. Iīm here very sad because one guy scammed me.

The guy is @glen123: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=291856.

Everything was okey once he sold me 100 USD with Neteller:

https://blockchain.info/address/37hCqZm5xMj9rqX4U1t595Myx1th26nZZ8

After that, I required 500 USD more in BTC via Neteller. I tried to pay several times, but it seems like the amount was high. You can check it here:

https://k61.kn3.net/70010D7C2.jpg

After this, he didnīt send me the BTC. Check our skype conversation:

https://kn3.net/601D5AF70CAJPG.html

https://kn3.net/61E733C6E91JPG.html

https://kn3.net/61B34F20AABJPG.html

https://kn3.net/60FCAA319B2JPG.html

I paid around 500 USD and he didnīt deliver the BTC. We are talking about a legendary member.

What kind of shit must to be to stole the money to other person? How can I resolve this?

Any sugerence?

Thanks.

Well firstly, rank doesn't really matter now. With heaps of account sales going on, legendary accounts go for around 0.05 which is barely nothing. That account is probably bought anyways.

Please use the correct format next time:

Hey aTriz,

I saw your video on your website www.litra.site, but honestly it was difficult to understand the audio at some points because it was very quiet when compared to the music.

Additionally, how do you value your cryptocurrency at $1 if it isn't available for trade on the exchanges? You also say there is a limited amount of coins available in your whitepaper. This suggests that the currency is significantly premined, especially as in the ICO you are only offering about 1/3 of the total tokens.

Some things about your project just don't add up.

These were exactly my thoughts, when i looked at it.

I am only the person behind marketing for his coin, for all other questions, please direct all of them to out ann thread where our founder who knows everything about the coin can help you answer those questions.

2819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cheapest place to buy BTC with USD on: August 20, 2017, 06:42:12 AM
I've been using coinabase but fees are high. Anywhere "much" cheaper?

Thanks

Yeah, don't bother using coinbase or other wallets to buy bitcoin off, they may be quick and easy but they have probably the worst rates ever, you can try buying bitcoin in other places for example:

Localbitcoins!  You can easily find some sellers, and make sure to buy off trusted users and make sure you send proof of you transferring money. You can even set up a shop to sell and buy bitcoin.
2820  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Still Go Up? on: August 20, 2017, 06:37:23 AM
Now that it's been proven there are many other alternatives to Bitcoin which have advantages such as quicker transactions, smaller fees, and higher mining profitability, I don't see a reason to think Bitcoin will get to $10,000.

Will the price of Bitcoin still go up? It seems so outdated when compared to its competitors.

I do think so. If you take a look at the market it is still obvious that Bitcoin is the fastest growing cryptocurrency and it looks like it will be so for a long time, unless better technology is made.

Price does look like it will go up later, right now it seems to be stable and just floating around the 4k mark. Looks to remain there for a bit longer and I think we will reach 5k before segwit2x.
