there were a few concerns raised on shapeshift.io being "spotty", and transactions actually go via poloniex (? correct me if I'm wrong)

Shapeshift will send you coins from their own wallet, but use coins on Poloniex to mimic the trade as well.

Which is actually pretty good because Poloniex is a fucking shit show and paying the little extra to avoid them... maybe worth it if the transaction is large enough to not get pwned % wise by "miner fees" (which don't actually go to the miners in my experiences.)

You should absolutely file an SEC complaint:  https://denebleo.sec.gov/TCRExternal/questionaire.xhtml

It takes about five minutes and the more complaints... the more likely they will get their act together.

(Everyone should do this... not just the OP)

All of a sudden my Bitcoin withdraws have stopped and my withdraws are now reading "Awaiting Approval".

My account is fully verified and has 2fa... no clue why this has happened all of a sudden for a few $20 withdraws.

I'm still trying to decide whether I'd prefer life in a Thai jail or a US prison. I hope he's more comfortable than I imagine.

He seems to be convinced that he'd be murdered in the USA.

Thailand seems like a MUCH more likely place to get killed in...  http://www.news.com.au/technology/online/after-alleged-alphabay-kingpin-found-dead-in-thai-jail-authorities-announce-huge-dark-web-takedown/news-story/cac0cfa628027cf414dc602bd2b3ec33

For some fun reading, search for "bigasic" on this thread. I promise you a good laugh.

Yeah, that was fun. You think you'll appear in his book?

That, and on his FOX TV special. Oh wait, that was canceled when FOX got wind of Curtis fucking his daughter, as well as claiming to be an Afro-American.

I assume you are talking about some SR coins then. If PoM wasn't able to secure his Bitcoins, he is probably not Variety Jones.

I was actually just jerking your chain because I know how gay you are for the FEDS Tongue.

I have no clue about his financial situation... I've not seen any donation addresses.

Maybe it is obvious, but not to me...

How can I encrypt my wallet with clams.
I am considering security issues.

Tnx

You can't stake with an encrypted wallet FYI.

There's no big conspiracy against you...

I don't feel like there is a conspiracy against me, but I feel like one person saying a whole industry that sole purpose to get people involve with cryptocurrency is a "faucets are a pernicious blight" is a bit.... eh?  I mean Gavin ran the very first faucet for a reason and I'd hardly call it a pernicious blight.... a pain in the ass maybe!

MidnightMagic has the ever so common "Bitcoin is bigger than you" type feel.  Which I feel strongly about clearly.

If MidnightMagic wants to write an encyclopedia then great... write one, but a wiki is something to help people and that page helped a lot of people.  I'd maybe order one even.

It's a fucking shame the faucet page is deleted.  The page had all working links and was alphabetized. *woo I know*

As a paying wiki member (xmember I guess at this point) I strongly disagree with his edits (woo hoo I know).  Leaving ETH, but removing Bitcoin Cash domains just blow my mind.  ETH rolled back $40 million dollars of someone's coins and that isn't scammy?HuhHuhHuh

Bitcoin Core is trash at the moment.

I've still not received two withdraws that I've had pending for FreeBitcoins.com customers for DAYS.

Super frustrating that CoinPot isn't doin what they are supposed to.

We are dropping their entire affiliate network from our website after the holidays.

what exactly are coinpot "supposed to" do?

as you say, the bitcoin core network is trash at the moment - its very hard for them to process withdrawals but you can quite clearly see that they are trying
also what has FreeBitcoins.com go to do with coinpot?

i think you need to understand the problems with the massive backlog (that finally seems to be clearing a little now) on the bitcoin core network and how it is affecting everyone trying to use it Smiley

I was just frustrated that day... I understand Coinpots pain.  I sent a payment that was $181 and paid a $160 fee :-|  30f824f4233ef331c12864bf3237c9a785b0e55a4c26bf3638aa9fbc8b067ebf

We aren't dropping their services from our promoted affiliates.

We have received the payments and I'm sorry about the harsh words.  It just sucks when we depend on this service to pay our own customers and the payments aren't processed in 48 hours.

There many exchanges where CLAM wallets not works for long time (few weeks)! It is Polonex, Cryptopia, YoBit.
As well, CLAM delisted from integrated in coinomi exchange and You Can't exchange on ShapeShift CLAM anymore! No any comments from support.
Not any explanation I can found anywhere!
All of this is really scary signs!!
I am Experienced crypto  investor and trader and can tell you

You know that Shapeshift plugs into Poloniex and Poloniex fucking sucks.

Not sure what the deal is with the Coinomi shit... I've not followed their stuff at all even though they get a fair bit of CLAM traffic from FreeBitcoins.com

YoBit is scammers.

Not sure about Cryptopia either... only found them not long ago.

You must do something with this, Clam dev.

Quote
CLAM is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the CLAM team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling.

Source :  Poloniex.

I tried contacting Poloniex a year or so ago when they were showing that message. They never replied. I think it's just a generic canned text message and doesn't mean they really want anyone's help.

I've contacted them... thus far no response.

I contacted them before they put the message up.
