2801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this is how Satoshi disappeared? on: December 10, 2014, 08:57:35 PM
Hey

First of all Im not sure if this is the right place to post this so mods feel free to move Smiley

Now, I have seen a lot of theories to what happened and why Satoshi left BTC suddenly. But, I haven't come across this pretty simple theory which I just thought about.

What if Satoshi was just sick and not well. Maybe his health was deteriorating and hence he decided to gradually handover his great creation. Isn't this a possible scenario?

Let me know your thoughts Smiley

the scenario of could satoshi be hal finney, who had health issues that were getting worse, has been thought about before. along side theories of satoshi being a separate person with his own health issues too

there are no signs of satoshi complaining about bad health or inability to do things due to health. and it has been established that satoshi is/was/ will not be hal finney..

so any theory around hal finney links are false, and any theory that satoshi as a separate person moving off the scene due to health has little to no evidence and thus idle speculation

I wasn't pointing out at hal finney when I spoke a bout the health issues. Other than that I think the way he left BTC, i.e. gradually not suddenly one day could be some evidence about health issues. Maybe he wasn't able to give a lot of time to BTC because of it. Hard to think that he got busy with something more important!

I read somewhere that Hal Finny is cryogenically frozen until the day scientific medicine has advanced enough that he can come back. If Satoshi was Hall Finny, then some time in the future he would end up getting revived and everyone pays in Satoshi's and he has trillions of dollars in capital at his disposal. That would make a really great movie!
2802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a new DEV for ADT Androids Tokens v2.0 [[[ TAKEOVER]]] on: December 10, 2014, 06:55:39 PM
simple : ADT don't have a strong community because for over a year now that this coin is broke.  The loosers are those that moved the coins out of cryptsy to the wallet to stake and couldn't move back to exchange the coins. i believe they still can't move back to cryptsy to finally sell & forget. I had a decent % of adt and deleted my wallet.dat few months ago already.

We've been served the excuse "We are waiting for Mullick" so many times.
and not to mention that we have witnessed a public open fight and meltdown between zack and the old dev (who after started bladecoin i think).
ADT is the altcoin that represents the most the "double facepalm".

once cryptsy took their wallet offline due to 99% of the ADT shitheads giving cryptsy 51%+ of the coins everythin started working fine. its the user's keeping all their adt at cryptsy to blame

You can't blame the users for leaving their Coins on Cryptsy, it's distribution depends on factoring in that every person has no idea about any of this and just connects to Cryptsy and buys some Coins here or there and keep them locked up in their account that they can access anywhere. I just think its the distribution method is where the fault is, it needs to be made with as little chance of not working as possible and people holding the Coin that have access to the forums, wallets etc. should want to help provide solutions, otherwise they are making things worse for themselves and everyone else.

Giant text and memes doesn't make anyone think "oh wow, these guys are going to do a better job than Zack"...... Where are these ideas for what happens after they take over ADT?

Sad Could have been a good project too...
2804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We're developing a brand new/better coin, and we want you to join us on: December 07, 2014, 10:19:59 PM
I have a a few good ideas and run/own a few popular social media accounts as well as I own the domain CryptoInfinity.com a fast growing crypto currency community, I have been looking for a developer to work with for a while myself. If anyone wants to chat on Skype send me a PM

Yo, I'll chuck you a pm. I've already been talking to Bitcoinlover and Vlad over the past little while as well, showing them a few things and helping them with a few connections and resources. I made MyFirstCoin for them as a test as a POS only coin, a clone of CommunityCoin with a bunch of parameters changed, setup nodes, compiled the wallet in Windows and Linux. https://github.com/Crestington/MyFirstCoin You can check out the commits on it as well to see what changes I made.

I am also quite involved in ColossusCoin as well, and have been since about a year now. This is also my thread for help as well https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=842940.0 Smiley

I say just grab everyone who is interested and work on some stuff together even if your agendas might not match up.
2805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We're developing a brand new/better coin, and we want you to join us on: December 07, 2014, 09:19:50 PM
Lol, I won't hold my breath for your "innovative" coin.  No matter, the endless stream of clone shitcoins has already driven most of the money and interest out of alts anyway.

Supernet and NEM have a real shot at being something, and we'll see what's to come of the 420 alliance.

Your shitbox?  If you're lucky your shitcoin might get micropumped and dumped onto a few idiots on some no-name exchange, IF you're lucky
Thank you for your comment. Obviously I won't take any of it to heart as it seems you don't have much knowledge of crypto currency. I am sorry that you feel that most coins are "shitcoins". I know that you must not know about crypto currency because if you had knowledge you would be out there contributing to the community. But instead you decide to come on to forums to be a little troll.  Roll Eyes To anyone else that do contribute to the community, I appreciate all of your suggestions. Thank you.

actually hollowman338 does contribute quite a lot and he is actually right that the vast majority of the 5000+ coins out their are indeed shitcoins. only a very VERY minute amount are worthy of being called innovative imo and the fact your going with x11 does give the impression that this coin wont be much different from the plethora of other (half?)clones. now, myself and hollowman could be wrong.. could be right.. who knows.. what i do know is that 99.99999% of coins that are released do turn out to be a money grab for the devs or fail for any number of reasons or just stagnate pretty much from launch, so the odds are not stacked in your favour to "be the next light coin" i am afraid to say. but who knows..

Everyone is so against any kind of Coin-making around here, would be nice to see more people adding positive feedback, constructive criticism and tossing around some ideas.
2806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a new DEV for ADT Androids Tokens v2.0 [[[ TAKEOVER]]] on: December 07, 2014, 09:04:22 PM
If people want to help with ADT all they need to do is talk to me

you should hire a website dev/designer for professional looking websites and forum

how much time do you need to fix ADT v2 if its broken or if there is an attack??

If i had the money i would pay people to do work but i dont

Thats the point. this is all bullshit. you shouldnt need to pay anyone. everyone involved in ADTv2 are all leeches feeding off the "dev" because they cant do anything themselves

This is why I said I want to show Zack a few things, no cost. Everyone wants money and wants it upfront for their "skillz" but very few actually know what they are doing and as soon as the money enters their hand, they do a roadrunner. If a person owns ADT, they should want to try and do some work on something to help build value for the Coin they own. There is alot that a person can do even if they don't know much about coding like marketing and promotion, websites, logos, forums, social media etc.
2807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITBAY is a huge SCAM alert! you will not regret reading this. on: December 07, 2014, 08:46:01 PM
If you don't like it now then best to wait a month or two and see how the project goes and if you are happy with the way things are going in a month, then buy some.
2808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to Develop a Coin, Looking for Developers! on: December 07, 2014, 12:19:19 PM

I really like the feedback, thank you. People can say what they want, I have proven a lot of people in the past wrong and hopefully with my future coin I plan to develop, I can prove some people wrong. Please if you have doubt in me, please tell me why so I cannot make this mistake! I want the feedback! I want you to tell me I cannot develop a successful coin, but please leave a reason.

Anyways, if anyone is looking to join a serious development team, join us! We are going to go strong and show this world a thing or two! We are going to show them and soar! Literally soar!!!!!!!!!!! Shoot me a PM if you are interested!

I am interested in helping a bit where I can but also have my own project I am working on. I doubt I'm the Dev you are seeking but at the very least, I like to get to know other people who are interested in all the coding stuff and I can show you a bit of the basics, maybe you can show me a thing or two as well.
2809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITBAY is a huge SCAM alert! you will not regret reading this. on: December 07, 2014, 12:07:39 PM
I don't really see how this makes BitBay a scam, I doubt David and the BlackCoin guys are going to willfully put their career at risk.
2810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finding Satoshi on: December 07, 2014, 09:08:21 AM
*SPOLIER ALERT*

Satoshi dies, sorry to burst your bubble but you'll have to read the whole story for the crippling deathblow.
2811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to Develop a Coin, Looking for Developers! on: December 07, 2014, 05:42:04 AM
The developers will get their share of pay, but I don't want the developers to dump lol.... I want the coin to last and actually go somewhere in this world.

that implies a dev is willing to work for premine of a coin that they could just make and keep all of. :/

I don't know if I will make my coin mineable, but if i hold 1% of my coin, that money will be used all for bounties. I will also setup a whole document that will be viewable so people can see were the money goes. (Blockchain links will be in the document.)

And what are you going to do once that 1% is used up?

Well I will use the 1% wisely for sure, but if it gets used up, then I will just have to pay out of my pocket then.... Getting started is the hardest part...

I think you should work with an existing Coin, maybe BlackCoin or ReddCoin? You should get to know the Blockchain and develop your plan a little more otherwise you might also end up using a lot of your own money with it if there is some big security hole and suddenly you can't access your Coins.

I can do more than you can now,

Fool. I laughed and laughed again.

Last person that dealt with you... "Why did Crestington make you roll back those patches, they were essential." Me "IDK and IDC"

8 months ago, you struggled for 2 months to compile a client. I was making coins almost 2 years ago ( not just compiling), so unless you progressed from an absolute novice, to a fairly advanced crypto programmer, I'd say you got the "crypto cock". The crypto cock is when you think you have this imaginary e-penis that magically turned you into a star programmer. Reality check bro, you are not.

Talk to me when you have made over 500 github commits, not pushed a single source code.

Regards.

P.S. Since in 8 months you have yet to release the COL V2 you promised, I have a spare hour if you need it done. Thats the difference here.

Figured you'd go off about nothing, 500 commits and not one Coin that works properly. You did fix it in an hour cause you are a pro Roll Eyes, and again, and again, and again. You just slap things together and shove them out without doing ANY testing and as a result people have lost millions.

You are right, I haven't pushed any commits to Col 1.52 because if you are unsure of what you are doing, you shouldn't be pushing commits.
2814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [poll] what's a bigger problem - Toxix FUD or scammy behind closed door deals on: December 06, 2014, 11:47:41 AM
Scammy behind closed door deals because toxic FUD and being too suspicious are the reactions of the cause.
2815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a new DEV for ADT Androids Tokens v2.0 [[[ TAKEOVER]]] on: December 06, 2014, 11:24:10 AM

I can show you how to make changes to the code if you'd like, no cost. If you get the rest swapped over then you should atleast have some of the premine left, you could even set a cutoff date and whatever if left over goes for development stuff. I do think you should give up some control over some of the different aspects of the ecosystem though whether it be the forums and website, social media or coding since one person can't do it all, I'm sure there are lots of people in the ADT community that would have great ideas and fill these roles well.

Crestington, no offence but your skills levels are similar.

Atleast I'm willing to help and I can do more than you can now, we haven't talked in like 8 months or more so I don't see how your statement can be deemed valid.
2816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to Develop a Coin, Looking for Developers! on: December 06, 2014, 11:11:45 AM
You are going to have to pay people if you want help, you won't get much help otherwise.

Is that what the world has come down too?

It's what the world has always been about, what is the incentive to do work on your Coin if you could already do it all yourself and get paid better elsewhere?

2818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi ..Private key lost? on: December 06, 2014, 12:47:04 AM
- He is afraid of beeing found when he spends one satoshi
- He forgot his wallet passwords
- The harddisk with the wallets crashed
- He is dead

(Most likely in that order)

Collectively "Satoshi Nakamoto" is waiting for mass acceptance before revealing himself and starts dumping coin in market.
He might never know when that stage is achieved. It might already have or might happen soon. Even if it is mass accepted, the price won't necessarily sky rocket.

Occam's razor (or Ockham's razor) is a principle from philosophy. Suppose there exist two (or more)explanations for an occurrence. In this case the simpler one is usually better. Another way of saying it is that the more assumptions you have to make, the more unlikely an explanation is. Occam's razor applies especially in the philosophy of science, but also more generally.

Which is the simplest explanation with the least amount of assumptions?

The simplest explanation is that he is dead, killed by a jealous government when Bitcoin was just starting because it was suddenly new and associated with Wikileaks.

2820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2014 Proof of Honor (POH) Awards | * Vote Today for Your Candidate! * on: December 06, 2014, 12:19:01 AM
We have had some exceptional results by opening up the social media channels. This was a consequence of the growth in the number of votes and wanting to open this to all possible people who are interested to voice their opinions and not the cause.

You can take a look at this:

I think that is amazing, those are all the people who are involved and are casting their votes. People who support the nominated candidates and their work. Their communities are lighting up from all around the world. We have through this, shed light some amazing people out there. The comments left, along with the social feeds are there for everyone to see and decide for themselves, though i must say that this has brought a great of number of communities together as a result. It has also brought bitcointalk members together to see the positive work that is being done in this space. It also introduces clarity and greatly promotes the work of the people involved.

I will make an update on the votes so far (not official) so that we can see where we are up to and for others to see it through the thread.

Cheers

That is a pretty good map of the most Crypto-progressive countries.
