it wasn't long ago there was a lot of complaining about btc's volatility, now it's stable ish people want more price movements there's still lots of interesting developments, whether it's the blocksize drama or the latest company to accept btc. think some people may have just got more desensitized to everything

not really, it just depends how you explain it to non tech people. I just describe like this: a bitcoin wallet is like a digital cash account. Your public key is an account number you give out to receive money, the private key is the pin number used to spend it. Probably not the best explanation in the world but whenever I've mentioned the distributed ledgers etc peoples eyes glaze over lol.

Best plan it not to start bragging about your btc in the first place, nor tie your identity to them especially if you're holding a substantial amount.
Keep a smallish amount in a seperate wallet if needs be, then worst case scenario you can say that's all you've got.

creating new account then selling it after 8months will give less profit than buying and selling accounts with potentials
agreed the time invested (unless you've got lots of spare time and cant get a job) in creating new accounts and selling them at higher level makes the profit margin a lot smaller. time is money and its now a lot harder to post your way to senior levels without getting banned for spamming (something we shouldn't encourage anyway).

wouldn't bother mining now dude unless you want to do it as an expensive hobby or have enough $$$ to buy a shitload of mining hardware (and access to cheap or free electricity). maybe consider mining some alt currencies though bare in mind most of them end being worthless. personally I'd just buy btc and then maybe invest ~1 btc in alts

I'm surprised he didn't just leave the USA and operate his business from somwhere outside the reach of US cops, like Russia. Then he would be totally safe
yeah at the very least he should should have moved to country with no extradition treaty with the US. wouldn't have guaranteed his safety but would have at least given him more time to get his shit together if something did go wrong. can't be happy with life in a supermax prison, wonder if he's in solitary?

frankys idea about the millions of unbanked across the world would be a good start, the ad could show the simplicity of downloading a wallet and being able to buy goods instantly without having to faff around providing id, credit checks, fulling out tons of forms etc.
keeping it simple and in laymans terms would help not alienate the non tech crowd (for now).

And I don't care what people say, if we threw the Jews in the ocean it's not going to make the Muslim world like us any more or less. Once Israel is gone then they'll be demanding Spain/Al-Andalus back next, it's just a game nothing more.
lol talk about scaremongering, Israel could turn the entire Middle East to dust if they so wished. There is absolutely no risk of Israel being destroyed, anyone who believes that is just pandering to the Zionist fear factory. Even if the the US did stop providing military aid (which I doubt will ever happen), there is still no Muslim nation that can match Israel's military capability.

Is there anything still going on with PMP? Seems a bit quiet here.

In any case, if everyone knows Israel has the bomb, why not acknowledge this in the public debate? I asked another friend (a well-informed journalist sympathetic to the Palestinian cause) why reporters don’t talk about the Israeli bomb. “Groupthink,” he said. “It’s almost as though Israel gets a bye from the media.” More... http://www.thenation.com/blog/201369/what-about-israels-nuclear-bomb1) they are a trusted nuclear powered country and have been for decades2) they have not made threats about their weapons or what they intend to do with them This current nuclear debate is about whether Iran should be included in trusted countries with nuclear power. I am laughing a little as I type this, i have no idea why this is a debate. Your leaders cannot make threats of nuclear war against Israel and then have the world allow you to develop that power. It is a comedy and Obama is a fool. -1 If they were a 'trusted' nuclear state, why does Israel not declare the amount of warheads the have? I'd also be interested to know the reasoning behind their reluctance to signing up to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

More than 9 months passed and OpenBazaar is still in beta phase. I'm really excited that a decentralized, trust-less marketplace is coming. That would be a possibly game-changer move for Bitcoin.
When is it actually going to be released. This is one of the things I'm most excited about as well as decentralized exchanges. I think a decentralized ebay/silk road market could be a huge game changer and milestone in bitcoin history. Not sure if there is an official release date but agreed, this will be a game changer with regards to decentralized marketplaces. I've been keeping an eye on their blog for updates: https://blog.openbazaar.org/

If the so-called non-profit organization suffers bankruptcy then just let it be. I still don't understand after so many years, there are still a lot of people who don't understand what bitcoin is all about and what it aims to achieve. Bitcoin is not supposed to be controlled by anybody nor is it aligned to anybody and that's a fact.
You have to wonder if it is willful ignorance or plain stupidity. Either way a "journalist" has a responsibility to research what they are writing about. Pathetic. I think there is an agenda of sorts with mainstream bitcoin articles, in this case though I'd put down to shoddy journalism. The dude clearly hasn't got a clue what he's on about as he's just rehashed a load of bitcoin soundbytes together.

There are plenty of faucets lists on the forum, you just have to search for 'em.
Bare in mind that you cannot earn any significant amount of btc from faucets, they are great for learning how to make transactions but nothing more.

What's the point of developing their own 'alternative' when we already have bitcoin? Can safely say I'll never be exchanging any IBMcoin

Credit card companies don't like Bitcoins. Therefore, they are pretty risky to exchange. The fees has to be higher to cover the risk. I believe you can use circle to buy Bitcoins with credit card. No worries, they are trusted.
Yeah you can use credit cards to buy bitcoin on circle (US residents) but the OP would have to provide several forms of ID (can be a pain having to wait to get verified). Saying that, I'd be wary of giving my card details to sites that do not require any other forms of ID.

How the hell could they even police that? Maybe they'll train sniffer dogs to catch these barbaric meat eaters!!
I'm all up for clean air but we need to focus on the big polluters like the renewable energy companies.

Wonder why they decided to choose Poland for accepting bitcoin payments? (not that I've got anything againt Poland ) Great if they decide to roll this out across the EU, being able to topup burner phones anonymously would allow a lot more privacy. One more finger in the eye for the NSA.
