2801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for website: slither.io clone on: April 20, 2016, 02:05:18 PM
What I like about Slither.io compared to Agar.io is that it doesn't matter how small you are.  You can still take down a huge guy by rushing out in front of them.

I stopped playing Agar.io because there were too many big teams colluding with each other in solo mode, making it impossible for the small guy to raise up.

Indeed, you can kill an huge snake with the right moves, it's very difficult tho because if they are big, they can hide their heads with their long bodies and it's hard to catch them, but in crowded areas, maneuvering a bit snake is very difficult and you are at constant risk of hitting someone. Surviving in the middle of the map is hard but that is where you can get the most points and get to 100.000+
2802  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: April 20, 2016, 01:51:13 PM
Maybe because Bitcoin's very easy to use have low fees for globas and quick transactions. Bitcoin too sometimes be anonymous you can send money without No one knows who sent it
bitcoin very anonymous so no one knows that you are doing the transactions,. I think there will be many people who oppose these advantages? many people are abusing this

Bitcoin is not anonymous since the blockchain is public. When you buy something from a shop, they know that your real address is attached to that transaction (because you need to give your name and address to the shop otherwise how are you going to get the package).

Well there's openbazar now but it's tiny and there's nothing interesting to buy anyway. Most people don't care about anonimity yet, but in the future this may change.
2803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you be interested in buying cheap gamekeys with BTC? on: April 20, 2016, 01:48:17 PM
Is there a way to prove that a key is legit and works before buying it? Otherwise, people will trust established sites like g2a to get cheaper keys. Personally I have never bought keys outside of Steam itself because im too paranoid to trust anyone. Keys that don't work, or are obtained illegally, are a common case amongst resellers (im not saying you aren't legit, just saying).
2804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ToominCoin aka "Bitcoin_Classic" #R3KT on: April 20, 2016, 01:45:09 PM
Well, it seems it's trully over now for Classic camp. Any hope of Classic gaining any relevant notoriery has been destroyed in the past few weeks. The nail in the coffin has been Peter Wiulle delivering segwit on time, the guy is a wizard and we have it on Bitcoin Core dev team.
Also, Gavin failing to convince the chinese miners that 2MB block size was needed and banning anyone Core-related on that meeting was it.
2805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for website: slither.io clone on: April 19, 2016, 01:00:44 PM
slither.io is really cool, maybe chopcoin team can clone it. have you tried contacting them?

No, I will post it later on the thread if I can find it, but I think they are too busy with chopcoin now to start developing another game on the side, they would need to hide at least another programmer. I also miss the battlecoin.org game being developed, it has been frozen for a lot of time now. I think its the best Bitcoin game ever.
2806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: April 19, 2016, 12:59:16 PM
Many people here wants to do gambling even if they rich, instead of gambling, why don't you donate it on some charities?
Because for some people, charities is not fun at all. Thats why people prefer to spend their money that could give them any feedback, like get fun in gambling or profit in investment.

some of them don't care about these things, they don't care about all the charitable work they can do with their money and even if they do it someday it would only be for publicity reasons not the real deal.
Yeah I'm also very sure that the charities foundation wont using all of donated money for the poor, I mean, they also need some money to give salary for their employees and to develop their foundation. Thats why some rich people dont want to donate their money into it.

Well a lot of rich people do charity for evil reasons, it's not like they give a fuck about the people that may benefit from the money. Some do it for money laundering, others do it simply to have an agenda of a "nice person" but they don't really care, others have entire fraudulent business behind so called charity.. and of course there are people that really care and put money in charity with good will, but a lot of them don't.
2807  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: April 19, 2016, 12:53:07 PM
Good if you want to buy bitcoins because it will cost less then normal so this is good for the people who want to buy Bitcoins. If you want to sell this is not good news for you because you will make less money.

well this is true only assuming that the price will go up, but you won't be sure at 100%, and no one is telling you that it will go up exactly after the halving, maybe it will go up in 2017

and before 2017 it will go down a bit, keep trading as normal, against the halving, the halving hype is just a bonus for your profit
The greatest problem is knowing when to sell. For me it's very easy to just sit down and relax, because I know that in the long term, a Bitcoin holder always wins, but if I want to make some big profits, you have to sell at some point, and after you sell, you have to know when to buy back... this can leave you out of the game. It's too risky and I don't know what to do, so I think I just will sit back and enjoy the show while I hold.
2808  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin hits 400$ mark on: April 19, 2016, 12:48:20 PM
it will continue to go upwards and hit 500 but for 600 i think it will be halted at 500 maybe months after the halving it will reach 600.

I don't think that halving will be having a significant impact upon the Bitcoin exchange rates. Already large number of short-sellers have accumulated Bitcoins, anticipating a big spike once the 2016 halving occurs. But the overall demand from traders is dull, and there is a chance that the exchange rates can go down if the speculation fails.

I do expect the price to at least touch $500 before the block halving, but I know it will be very difficult to get the price higher than $500 and to keep it there for quite a while. I just hope large traders don't get disappointed and start dumping the price down to current price levels after the halving.

Whatever some big traders might do, the development of Bitcoin will continue!
If they should decide to dump a bigger chunk of their coins I will highly appreciate that and collect a few. Grin

That is the right vision. Looking at the development of Bticoin and what is being developed as in segwit, confidential transactions, OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY, LN, sidechains... so many good stuff coming very soon and so many idiots are still looking at 50 dollars up or down on the price.
The long term is looking better than ever, price fluctuations are irrelevant.
2809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: April 19, 2016, 12:22:01 PM
hire yourself a node from digitalocean,
download and compile bitcoind, with a stratum pointed at it,
then throw the rest into nicehash.

might end up finding you a block of bitcoin.

1.5BTC will get you 4000Th (4 Petahash) for approximately 2 hours and 48 minutes.
or 8000Th (8 Petahash) for 1 hour and 24 minutes (assuming a rate of 0.0032BTC/Th/day).

i managed to luck out on christmas last year; found a block of Litecoin with a measly 0.05BTC of scrypt hashpower.

I have considered investing in cloud mining but it all seems like a massive risk to me, I think I prefer the risk of investing in some alt and trying to profit from the next pump and dump. There are always a ton of opportunities to make money off altcoins, but it requires a lot of research and most importantly, luck to pull it off.
2810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Video: David Cameron UK Prime Minister says "Blockchain" on: April 19, 2016, 12:19:41 PM
Well, it's always progress when big time politicians mention Bitcoin related stuff, but the real step forward is when they mention "Bitcoin". Notice how none of the big names in politics have even had the courage to mention Bitcoin, they always use some euphemism or the simply say blockchain technology or whatever.
2811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else think we hitting $10,000 this year? on: April 18, 2016, 01:02:12 PM
a x10 increase is very doable once the fear of missing kicks in and all the big fortunes start feeling like massive idiots by not owning some Bitcoins. I think this will happen sooner than a lot of people expect, specially in china, once capital controls kick in heavy they will flock into Bitcoin like crazy.
2812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: April 18, 2016, 12:54:06 PM
If you are even lucky in gambling than it can be a fix in your life but what happens most is that it will wreck your life and that is also because it is your own fault.
In gambling you have to control yourself and if that is not possible than you cant gamble and you will become poor easily.

There is always some tricks the casino owners have to make you lose. It wrecks more than it fixes. There are so less chances that you'll get rich with this thing.

You will get rich if you bet big and you were lucky that time then quit gambling. That's what we called all in, bet your life savings  then if your win just go but I don't know what will happen to you if you lost. Better stay away with this one cause it might wreck your life.

You are wrong, with bet on your life savings will just make you worse, if you win that is good but how about if you lose? You will get nothing, better play on some jackpot slowly may be when you are lucky you will hit it and get rich too. Sometimes with luck on your side you can really win real good amount but most will lose actually so play smart on it

Well something is clear, if yo want to get rich you have to take big risks, whether in investments or gambling, but since with investments you can deal with probabilities and odds rather than going all in in some totally random gamble, I recommend that you take big risks in investments and not in gambling.
2813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: April 18, 2016, 12:46:32 PM
I hope that Barca losses because they were being too confident and disrespecting their biggest rival (Real Madrid). I think Gerard Pique recently said that Atletico was the best second team in spain (disrespecting Real) so I hope Real wins because it's pretty obvious to me that Real is the best team at the same level as Barca.
2814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for website: slither.io clone on: April 18, 2016, 12:44:34 PM
It is same game as Agar just snake instead of ballon.

Indeed it's very similar, but not the same. When you play agar.io (which btw it's supposed to represent cells and not represent "balloons" you can't make a lot of stuff that you can do in slither.io, like run faster, you can't make walls and surround other smaller snakes and eat them.. it creates a lot of nice gameplay dynamics that you don't notice until you play it for a while, then you see it's not an agar.io clone.
2815  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: April 18, 2016, 11:24:36 AM
If that would happen then I will quit. The main reason why I got to know bitcoin is the value itself currently.
But if there are still offers or promotions to earn bitcoins then I will continue keeping it and wait the time to increase the rate again.

I think it's unrealistic that this will ever happen so there's no need to worry, but if it happened I would not quit. If it was any other asset, then I would call it wrap, but with Bitcoin, you never know what's going to happen. As long as 1 node exists, the network is alive, therefore is valuable and it can rise from its ashes at any time. Even if it went to 0, it would not mean it's game over.
2816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has died 100 times on: April 18, 2016, 11:13:00 AM
Update: Bitcoin has died 100 times  Cool

We have reached the 100. I am wondering that the number stays pretty stable over the last months. It seems there left only few people believing Bitcoin could die. Good sign!
It is because of halving, that people started to believe on bitcoin and everyone once again started to adopt and use bitcoin, otherwise with the fall in the price last year was going to kill the believe of bitcoin in the people.

Not just of halving more adoptions taking place. Due to the long time stable price over the past few months more people started using bitcoin and earn bitcoin. I believe these would increase the life rather than dying.

Why they keep telling bitcoin died i think those who said for that is envy for bitcoins success today. All i say bitcoin is allive and kicking and price increase is coming for this halving event and that is very good news to us bitcoin user. Bitcoin will never be die because many adopts and used it now as well s i and many success to come for the bitcoin.

Everyone that did say that Bitcoin is dead did so in order to benefit his own personal position. Every Bitcoin FUDsters has an agenda to damage it to benefit from this damage, none of them are neutral simply saying they personally think it's over, they say so because they fear its success. Jamie Dimon, Mike Hearn.. all those people have their respective agendas.
2817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brock Pierce and why Bitcoin does not need his skeevy connection on: April 18, 2016, 11:10:45 AM
I think no one cares about Bitcoin Foundation anymore after the Karpeles incident plus a lot more controversial stuff that happened. I remember Karpeles even had registered his cat as a member of the Bitcoin Foundation. I think we don't need any group like that, we just need good coders and let the code do all the talking (and right now we have the best team aka Bitcoin Core team).
2818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Idea for website: slither.io clone on: April 17, 2016, 03:58:28 PM
We've seen the success of agar.io, and there is a clone called chopcoin (find more info by using the search function on this website).
Well now the new sensation is slither.io: A game where you are some sort of snake. I think we need a clone that adds the ability to gamble with money, and steal other people's money, and by money I obviously mean Bitcoin.

Ideally we should make the official slither.io game accept Bitcoin and integrate it but I doubt they will bother, so maybe someone can make a clone and make it work.
2819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PACQUIAO OR BRADLEY???????? on: April 17, 2016, 03:41:21 PM
Pacquiao fans always underrate Mayweather a lot and say he only runs. Well sorry to say it but overall Mayweather is the better boxer, numbers don't lie, and so doesn't the fight. He made Pacquiao hit the air for the entire night while getting punched with surgical precision. Another Mayweather win by points.

I hope he comes back once again to beat the Rocky Marciano record. Also 50-0 is a perfect slogan to sell shirts, better than 49-0 which looks kinda ugly lol.
2820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: April 17, 2016, 03:32:38 PM
To be honest I think Real deserves to win. They have been criticized a lot in the past, specially Cristiano Ronaldo was really hated for a while and people was saying how he needs to leave from the club because he wasn't doing anything. Fast forward to now and he is the responsible of being only 1 point away from being first and they are still on Champions. The comeback has been epic.
