We've seen the success of agar.io, and there is a clone called chopcoin (find more info by using the search function on this website).
Well now the new sensation is slither.io: A game where you are some sort of snake. I think we need a clone that adds the ability to gamble with money, and steal other people's money, and by money I obviously mean Bitcoin.

Ideally we should make the official slither.io game accept Bitcoin and integrate it but I doubt they will bother, so maybe someone can make a clone and make it work.

Indeed it's very similar, but not the same. When you play agar.io (which btw it's supposed to represent cells and not represent "balloons" you can't make a lot of stuff that you can do in slither.io, like run faster, you can't make walls and surround other smaller snakes and eat them.. it creates a lot of nice gameplay dynamics that you don't notice until you play it for a while, then you see it's not an agar.io clone.

No, I will post it later on the thread if I can find it, but I think they are too busy with chopcoin now to start developing another game on the side, they would need to hide at least another programmer. I also miss the battlecoin.org game being developed, it has been frozen for a lot of time now. I think its the best Bitcoin game ever.

I noticed a difference, it was my first impression.

What I like about Slither.io compared to Agar.io is that it doesn't matter how small you are.  You can still take down a huge guy by rushing out in front of them.

I stopped playing Agar.io because there were too many big teams colluding with each other in solo mode, making it impossible for the small guy to raise up.

Indeed, you can kill an huge snake with the right moves, it's very difficult tho because if they are big, they can hide their heads with their long bodies and it's hard to catch them, but in crowded areas, maneuvering a bit snake is very difficult and you are at constant risk of hitting someone. Surviving in the middle of the map is hard but that is where you can get the most points and get to 100.000+

It would be really cool if there was a clone of this game that you could gambling bitcoin on.  I would definitely play it.  I enjoy playing chopcoin from time to time, but I do get frustrated that I always get eaten by the bigger blobs.  In this snake like game I feel like I would have a better chance at taking out a snake that was bigger than me.  If you clone it, I'll play it!

Slither.io is indeed a fun and exciting game to spend your free hours on, especially if you are not doing anything important. Adding the element of gambling into a clone of the said game would be fun and exciting, considering that competitive play is needed to win some pot money or steal money from other players. The thing is, how would the developers of slither.io react on a clone of it? Wouldn't there be issues bound to it if ever? o.o

I have been playing this game too and its awesome, totally crazy addictive and i like the graphics too, very pleasing to the eye (important to play a lot)

this doesn't seem like a real risk. Did agar.io developers get mad at chopcoin making a bitcoin clone out of their idea? i don't think so, and i don't think it's illegal. What are they going to do anyway? claim ownership on a trademark of a snake game? i don't think they will bother and they would rather add bitcoin themselves if they see its an actual competitor.

Never played agar.io, nor have any interest in this one or any other game for that matter that involves skills and not luck. Skill based games can be cheated through bots and what not. Not good to put your money on a game which can be won through smart programs or like someone mentioned above by ganging up.

In agario you can gang up but you can't properly gang up in slither.io, its too hard if you try to do team tactics because you crash into each other's. The problem is I have seen some of the "hacks" already available like a way to make the zoom of the map all the way out so you can see where all the other players are at and what are they doing.

That would be a pretty neat idea actually.
Have you thought about crowdfunding this? I think there might be some interest for it if you do it properly.

I'm just saying that the idea might be a reason for its (slither.io) developers raising an eyebrow to the clone. I mean, even the simplest details to a game--take for exanple, flappy bird--might cause a stir among their creators. Just exploring the possible scenarios here.

Well it's something to consider, but Flappy Bird has a million clones in google play, and I don't see the original dude that made Flappy Bird doing anything about it. Flappy Doge is one of the most famous with millions of downloads.

In fact, the entire app market is made off clones of clones of clones.. it's pretty sad but some people make mad money with that shit.

I have tried playing slither.io on numerous occasions but every time I had really bad latency issues and it was pretty much impossible to play because I had like 1-2 seconds delay on every move. I don't know why this is happening but I think it's not my Internet connection. Also there are kinda 'cheats' in slither.io where people could zoom out in their browser and see a greater area of the map. I don't think this idea of playing for money will turn out to be good though.

Hi! I've just stumbled on your post - I've JUST created a way to play for cash on Slither.io as it was a feature I felt it needed.

Read all about it here and enter!

The game looks really cool, but the gameplay feels very laggy.

Tournament style games like chopcoin would be really cool though and I would definately be interested in playing that.
