2801  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: September 05, 2013, 05:06:29 PM
I liquidated all my AM holdings at 2 BTC and took profit this morning.

Getting skittish with AM not keeping up with hash rate, and, personally, have been having trouble reliably communicating with FC on a couple hardware orders Sad

Will buy back in if it should drop down to 1.5 territory.

Got a crash report under Windows while running the 3.4.2 debug build.

I think something like two thirds of these users are now either banned or have moved on to annoy people on other forums. I generally don't ignore anyone unless they're either a bot or a troll/idiot/obnoxious person with no redeeming qualities whatsoever (being entertaining counts as a redeeming quality, which is the only reason people like SEC agent aren't on my list).

 Yay ! I made someone's ignore list !

FWIW, here's mine.

2804  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL MiniRig Line:Concerned on: September 05, 2013, 12:22:20 AM
Having a 100% error-free production line, means around several thousand employees in several different companies must function as precise as atomic clocks do, with absolutely no human-error. Even robots cannot achieve that, let alone humans. We will do our best to make sure a huge number of products get shipped everyday.
Regards,
Nasser

Looking forward to reading reports about you folks parting the Red Sea and successfully shipping out huge numbers in the next 27 some-odd days.

I imagine it will be wonderful clearing out your backlog of orders on schedule, and meeting a deadline for once.

I believe that bitcointalk.org administrators would gain instant respect by simply deleting or blocking that bid.

Won't happen until Theymos is removed as owner of these forums; not likely to happen any time soon.

He's too busy playing Scrooge McDuck swimming in his piles of Bitcoins from all the advertising revenue Butterfly Labs has paid him. He's not going to kill his golden goose.

Theymos is just as much of a problem as BFL, as far as these forums and community are concerned.
2810  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Do we want to continue to allow various vendor hate in here? on: September 04, 2013, 08:07:00 PM
Zerlan's rants, demeaning his customers, shows that kind of contempt.
Yifu's statements lately have had the same underpinnings.
Or maybe we just get tired of whiny, entitled little brats screaming and crying for attention.  I wonder which is more plausible.

Yeah, going to have to say that we should allow to continue with various vendor hate around here until the vendors themselves start behaving in such a way that does not produce feelings of hate due to their own conduct.

Chicken, egg, so on and so forth...
2811  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Can we just stop creating new BFL threads? on: September 04, 2013, 05:16:31 PM
Please move this discussion to a meta-meta-thread. Thank you.

Agreed. We need to have a discussion about the discussion to not have discussions about the pattern of certain discussions.
2812  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 04, 2013, 01:56:00 PM
I purchased chips.
I didn't want miners built or hosted or anything.
I wanted chips and chips only.

So ask for a refund, and get back 95% of your money. You agreed to a 10% purchasing fee. What's the problem here considering Steamboat is trying to make the best out of a situation that is literally beyond his control ?

Usual story, try a debug build with instructions from
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/debug/
and check your antivirus software is happy with the DLL (other soft may not use the same dll).

Sorry for not doing this sooner, but finally got around to installing the debugger, and am presently running the 3.4.2 debug .exe. Hope to generate some useable information for you on the next crash.

 Cheers.

I am sorry to report that 3.4.1 is still exhibiting the mswsock.dll crashes I reported earlier Sad "That mining software which we dare not speak it's name" has been running solid in my testing on another rig that experienced the same crashes under 3.4.1 Sad

2820  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Block Erupter Blade (New Model)]Low Price, Limited Quantity on: September 02, 2013, 06:13:04 PM
Ah, yes, you can have it now, you just get $^%&#^ in the process.  It's been true ever since May 4th when the 1.99BTC erupters came out, why should it be any different now?  Spare me your sanctimonious crap, it's still highway robbery.
Huh? How is 10 GH/s for 4 BTC delivered immediately highway robbery? That's the same price as a BFL pre-order due to ship in "2 or more months".

I'm looking at this as "100 GH/s for less than 40 BTC" and am seriously thinking of pulling the trigger. Have an inquiry in with one of the resellers.
