2801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying during this dip? on: January 21, 2022, 11:28:45 PM
Hey guys, I'm just curious what are you guys buying during this dip?  because I have added more Near to my bag and with some  eth,Aurora and Bnb, so what are you guys buying maybe I can consider adding it to my bag cause I still have a few usdt left...

I would like hear your feedbacks. Smiley
^ Dont forget to support BTC and give a large percentage of allocation, BTC price will lead when it is going to up and the altcoin price will slightly follow on BTC price movement so I think giving full support on BTC is the best decision in my opinion.
However, I have a conclusion that the entire market will continue down because of the upcoming Chinese New Year which is we experienced last year the same on this situation and most likely the market will down.
Bitcoin should never be on the last of the list, but it should always be on top of other coins. Its good to diversify your investments but always see to it that you are hitting the target, and bitcoin will always be the center of this crypto market. At least, you should have a portion  of it if you think that's still expensive. Otherwise, you will miss another opportunity to buy bitcoin since its price suddenly goes up without any further notice. So be cautious, and at the same time, focus.
2802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 21, 2022, 11:04:44 PM
~snip~
However, if tomorrow the price starts to go up, and if the price reaches 70k in 2022, then you should remind yourself this day when the price was under 40k, and you felt fear instead of hope. Because prices always go down before it starts to go up. I can't promise that it will right away, but I am not selling, in fact, I am buying more. Focus on what can happen, and not what has happened, that way you can have some hope for the future.
^ Probably only those fool investors who sell during the price are dumped.
Never sell if the price goes down and wait until it will be recovered back. BTC price is so volatile and I think 1 or 2 days it will go up again without further notice. The word HODL is a must right now if you are a investors last month when the price was above $40k, anytime by now BTC price will surge back and you may think that you are late on reinvesting and feel regret because you are selling your BTC under the price where you purchase.
Selling at the current price is a big no this time since prices are in dips, and hodling should be a must. Because if you tend to panic and fear about the current events, then you should not be in crypto in the first place. You should never forget that crypto is not all about bullish and selling for profits, but also buying and hodling too in times of dips. If you can't bear the pressure right now, then i suggest you take a break and come back only when the market has recover. At least, it will be the best way to avoid losses on your part.
2803  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we going to have "fear" months? on: January 21, 2022, 09:35:40 PM
Is this month is a time of fear for you just because we drift sideways to negative then sure we will have this fear.  Overall Bitcoin has been quite steady even while retracting in its gains, its still risen over 6 months, over a year and anything but this near term disappoint its been fine.  I would call it more dismal then anything more dramatic.
It's pretty subjective to say though, for some I am pretty that they're probably going to see it as an opportunity to buy at a lower price but given how not everyone thinks this way and only a few see this kind of months as an opportunity, I would still agree that fear months are real. For me it's the opposite though, it's the greed months.
greedy is far from fearing because greed people are those kind of investors that keeps their Holding even there are already a profit as they are keep looking for high and high income and that makes greedy person most loser .

While Fearing is also being afraid and they are the one who keeps selling even though there are only small decrease in market as they are fear of losing even single amount of their investments.

so meaning these are not opposite instead different views and attitude .
If you say so, but i think what's best appropriate this time is to become more greedy than being fearful. If we can be more greedy, then we should always make the right move to improve our profits in the future and that will be possible if we can buy potential coins as much as we want today because that will also be given as rewards in the near future. However, being fear this time is the fear to lose. And the best thing we can do is to hold still our coins as selling would mean a huge loss this time.
2804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The faith of Altcoins in 2022 on: January 20, 2022, 09:56:39 PM
History may always leave an impact but what had happened in the previous years will be totally different from this present year. Bitcoin has been backed already with different big institutions and so its massive adoption has been starting to take place already. And once bitcoin will be in a very good position, it will also create a very positive impact on the part of the altcoins.  For now, coins have been declining due to the expected bearish season but i think once this will be over, bitcoin and altcoins will start to surge and skyrocket again for their new ATH this year. So keep the faith and don't panic.
I also think that we are going to have a good year for bitcoin, however I am not so sure this is going to be true for new altcoins, my reasoning is the next, when bitcoin is growing up in value in a rapid fashion people begin to look for all kind of altcoins where to invest their money.

However I think this time around the growth in the price of bitcoin is going to be slow, which means that altcoins are not going to have the opportunity to generate enough hype around them, hurting them in the process, as such you need to be careful as this behavior could trap a lot of newbie investors and made them lose their money.
If we are seeing bitcoin in a consistent fall, i think the fall back is twice when it comes to altcoins since they are more affected once bitcoin is not in its good position. So i suggest, if people want to invest in altcoins for now, they should be more knowledgeable and do a depth in research in which altcoins will be able to progress after all these prices declining at the moment. Because it does not mean that altcoins that are in cheap prices will be profitable in the future, some will never regain their value again.
2805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: January 20, 2022, 09:28:04 PM
Of course those who work in cryptocurrencies become the owners of a lot of money in such a moment and become destitute again in a moment. It is not possible to understand anything in this cryptocurrency. In particular, I have become the poorest in this cryptocurrency. I have lost a lot in this cryptocurrency.
I think being involved in cryptocurrency does not mean that you will become rich in an instant. But if you can always make the right moves, then you will definitely become rich in less time. However, those who have made the wrong choices will fall as the poorest in crypto but it does not stop there. The fact that you still want to be a part of crypto and create positive changes, then you can still regain all what you have lose. For OP, the man that has lost everything in crypto was never a coincidence. He's into drug and alcohol, and he treats trading as gambling, so there are more chances that he will end up in zero balance because of his own wrong decisions in life.

I wonder what the imports are doing now lol. This long break is not their usual. I mean, they like to play and play no matter what. It's like their time is being wasted here in the country as nowhere to do but to chill and relax. They are surely bored now since PBA has no update yet when to return. The expectation for NLEX to reach the Finals of this conference is getting longer.
yeah, there's no news regarding the import, maybe they have already gone back to their country because the chance of the PBA season to resume is very dim. Sorry to say, but since the cases argrowing fast, I'm not expecting a resumption soon.

Yes right, but if the Staff of PBA decided that all the imports will be back to their respective country  I think that's a good decision in order to prevent them from illness/prevent them from missing their family too. Cause if they are still here there's a chance that they will get infected from this omicron cause we all know that it is very speedy in terms of spreading.
They will be infected but that doesn't mean they'll suffer from it, they have a high immune system so probably they can resist the effect of the virus. It's all up to the management now and the team owners if they will stop the season and send the imports to their homes. here's the logic, if they'll send the imports back, then consider the season cancelled already.
Let's be patient and wait for the announcement, we can speculate, that's alright but let's remain optimistic that the PBA will be able to resume, otherwise, there will be no fun anymore and we cannot continue betting. I know there's still the NBA but it's also good to bet on our local games and support them.

2807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 17, 2022, 09:20:10 PM
Let's start betting for the upcoming games.
Game: Jazz vs Lakers.

I know that the Jazz are going to play a back to back game but they are hungry for a win, so I think they can beat the struggling Lakers who lost to the Nuggets by a very huge margin.  I don't want to overthink it, I will stick with my instinct and bet on the Jazz on the road.

My pick: Jazz -5.5

Here we go again, I'll be taking this one. Rudy Gobert is back for the Jazz and he put some decent numbers last night, while the Lakers inconsistency is at it's peak yet again.

Elsewhere we've got some really early fixtures for today, and I'll be taking the Celtics -3.5 vs New Orleans Pelicans.

GL!

Waiting for the Jazz/Lakers result now, you already have one win since Celtics already beat the Pelicans with 104-92 final score.

Great win for me in the end, Celtics started in a really awful fashion, and were already down by 15 or thereabout in the 2nd Quarter, they closed the 2nd Quarter a bit better by cutting well into the deficit, so the comeback was somewhat easier in the 2nd half.
That's how Celtics do, they are good in comeback especially when playing at home. Good for you, a win is still a win regardless if they have an easy or a tough win.

Nets with James Harden and Kyrie Irving. No Kevin Durant, Millsap, Johnson, and Claxton. They are undermanned but that's still a possible win against the Cavaliers if they will be red hot in outside shooting. I'll check the roster first before taking it. Just to be sure.

They are leading in the first quarter, no Durant but they have Irving and Harden, I think that's already enough to compete and beat the red hot Cavaliers too. I'm just not too confident on the Nets without Durant but let's see if the underdog Nets can win on the road without him.

Cavaliers are back ahead, and it's a close one, even with Durant on the floor, Nets have been really unreliable in some games, so I wouldn't trust them tonight either.

Halftime score 59-65 in favor of the home team.

Anyone here willing to take a live bet on the Nets ML? Odds is 2.80 and + 4.5 is the spread.

2809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 17, 2022, 07:49:09 PM
^^ Not sure if he will go win an interpreter or not, Manny didn't got one and when Jim or Larry interview him after the fight, you will see the awkwardness in the post fight interview until Pacquiao improves his English hehehe.

So it will be a long way to go for Magsayo, he really needs to win this fight to be in the discussion and will really raise his stocks in the featherweight and maybe faces Leo Sta Cruz or just the recent upset winner Kiko Martinez. So very promising for Magsayo if he wins against Russell.

He needs to be a champion first before he learns how to speak English well. That's the process most boxers has to follow in the Philippines. I just hope for his success on the biggest fight of his career, then maybe if he will follow Pacman's journey, he might also take a course and study to improve his learning, and probably enter into politics too.
2810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 17, 2022, 07:29:34 PM
I thought initially that if they are going to get Simmons, they are going to partner him with Fox in Sacramento. But it seems that they have change their narratives? But I think its a win win for both teams specially if they will include Tobias Harris in the trade. Again, dealing Harris is for long term for the Sixers as they will clear their salary cap enough to get another big names in the future.
I have to say, if there are some teams that willing to eat up Harris contract, that should 100% be Lakers. Tobias Harris is not really a horrible player and he has been playing awesome, give westbrook to sixers and get Harris and Simmons. Plus Simmons uses Klutch agency as well so it shouldn't be that hard to handle. Do Lakers have that kind of space? They do not, so they will have to send someone else as well to get these two.

Simmons wouldn't be helpful and he would be net negative when playing with Lebron for sure, but at the very least, they would be getting rid of Westbrook and getting Harris, then they are stuck with Simmons as an extra, just use him as that. Sixers could get Fox and Sacremento can get Westbrook if it is a three team deal. Or maybe Lakers gets Harris, Sacremento gets Simmons and Sixers gets Westbrook, not a "horrible" trade.

Lakers could only get decent players if they will trade Westbrook, I am not sure if they are ready to make that kind of decision despite their situation now. Westbrook is definitely not a team player, he does not suit most of the teams if he does not handle the ball much, so I'm afraid that he might still be ineffective with the Sixers.
2811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: January 17, 2022, 01:42:25 PM
But Canelo's avoidance of a third fight with GGG will always be an interesting note in his otherwise outstanding career. Just as we do today, history will probably also question the real reason why he didn't allow a great third match with GGG to happen. All kinds of speculation would be put forward. But it will only raise more curiosity. It will never answer the boxing fans' deep question.

I disagree with that. Avoidance like Canelo was defeated lol. Canelo already sealed that fight. The public won't take that as an issue since Canelo is working on his way now to beat the top fighters on the next stage. GGG is already not on that top fighters list so why still insist that a trilogy is needed?

It's even good to see Canelo facing Charlo compared to GGG. There are others fighters too that Canelo needs to settle in. Those fights are much exciting and thrilling compare to the trilogy with an old GGG.

Is anybody saying there is a need for a trilogy? I didn't say a trilogy is needed. But I know there is a very strong demand, or at least there was, of a trilogy.

As I've said, both of their previous two fights are highly controversial. The first one was a split draw but both camps claimed their fighters won the fight. The second one was equally controversial with a majority decision in favor of Canelo. But the GGG camp and many boxing fans believed GGG won the fight.

I cannot remember whether it was the first or second fight that I tried to score, but there was one fight which I remembered I gave the win to GGG. I am a fan of both fighters.

The only way to settle controversies is to have a third fight. But that's pointless now.

If the trilogy would still be a controversial fight then the fans would still demand another fight, it will be a never-ending fight, LOL. However, if both really want to make a lot of money, they will grant the request of the fans as the fans are willing to pay for the ticket and to buy the PPV subscription, good business for them.
2812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting or casino? on: January 17, 2022, 11:16:39 AM
As you can see, both sports betting and casino betting have each own advantages and disadvantages. However,it aways come down to what you prefer and what you look for.
As for me, I will definitely say sports betting is better  because it is possible to increase your chances of winning by simply being very selective about your bets and applying expert knowledge of your chosen sport.  Of course this doesn’t mean you will always win, or even that you will definitely win in the long term, but you at least have the chance to apply a degree of skill and thereby give yourself a fighting chance.Unlike casino games, casino has the bigger chance. So in long term you will always in negative profits against the casino.

Choosing a line of betting that you believe will give you a better chance of winning is very important, for me, I'm also into sports betting although I know a lot of casino games I'm not so attracted to games that are purely based on luck. I love to be challenged and sports betting really challenges me so until now, I am still actively betting on sports.
2813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 17, 2022, 10:51:08 AM
In the absence of Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors had a really hard time against Minnesota Timberwolves last night. Timberwolves defeated them by 119-99. Thompson got 13 points and he is still recovering now. And the other interesting game was Denver Nuggets vs Utah Jazz. And Jazz managed to become the winner at the end by 125-102. But I really loved Jokic's performance in the game. He got 25 points, 15 rebounds and 14 assists. A very nice triple-double he got. For the Jazz side, D. Mitchell was in a great shape as he got 31 points. And Gobert also played nicely by a great double-double (18 points, 19 rebounds).
19 rebounds is a dominant performance. That's the reason why the Nuggets were the underdog at home because the best defensive player of the Jazz are already back. Good to see Gobert getting points and rebounds, if he has that kind of stats in the playoffs, they'll be a championship team.
2814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: January 16, 2022, 11:58:34 PM
I don't think this is the right time to think about investing into new project as we might enter bear market anytime and project may be paused or may not achieve desired result.

Apart from the market conditions it's bit difficult to select a genuine projects especially when so many whitepapers are reported for plagiarism and we have seen so many scams going on but one good project can make us much rich, I would suggest to check it in multiple forums. It's nothing short of gamble to invest into new projects
I agree on you. Investing in new projects will bring more risk and worst is, we might end up investing in scam projects. I think it will be better if we focus on the old and established coins for now because even if we are in tough times right now considering that the market becomes to look more bearish, i know those coins will always recover because their demands never lost. But for new projects, their value is not yet proven so there are no guarantees for them.
2815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting Used to The Market Situation is The Key to Becoming a Reliable Trader. on: January 16, 2022, 11:34:53 PM
Most of traders fail in the market and most of us can not beat the market.

So even if you can become a winner, a successful trader, I believe you will have to spend expensive cost before you get succeeded in market. Especially it's a very volatile market like crypto where there is no circuit break, no margin of changes intraday.

Only you can protect your capital. Remember, protect your capital is your first priority, not gain profit. Because as a trader, you will lose all if you lose all your capital. After losing it all, you will have nothing to do in the market.
+1

the thing is that the more time you spent trading in daily basis along with level up the knowledge .. the more experience you gained that leading to minimize the risk as crypto market alone is a super high risk market among others so yeah you might ended up in loss most of the times.
if it was what you mean op , i think it's an absolute yes.
Of course, if you have nothing left in your wallet, then you can't perform trading anymore. The point here is if you have been trading for long, you might have been aware on the consequences of the market when trading, but as your experience grows, you are also growing in your part not just of profits but also with the knowledge on how the market really looks like. As long as you get used to it and be able to understand its pros and cons in trading, i think that will be an edge to refrain your from committing losses.
2816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Forecast by Goldman Sachs on: January 16, 2022, 11:07:55 PM
Goldman Sachs predicted that Bitcoin could reach $100k in 2022 if it continues to overtake gold’s market share.

Approximately 2 percent of gold’s market cap ($700 billion) is held by the public. Goldman estimates that the public holds about $2.6 trillion in gold as an investment."
I definitely think that Goldman Sachs have been quite bullish on bitcoin for a long time. It is not a new story and they have been promoting it for a long time as well. It is quite obvious that they "want to" see it at 100k and that is why they are making speeches like that. Plus, they probably have some money in bitcoin and considering it is not their money and instead their investors money that means they also have to make public posts like this as well.

So all in all, I am definitely sure that they do believe what they are saying but also even if they didn't then they had to still say these things which makes their own words not credible enough at all.
I think bitcoin being to replace gold in the future is very possible as its now starting to prove to the people that there is more profits in bitcoin than in gold, and that bitcoin holds the highest store of value. When it comes to bitcoin reaching the price of $100k, many have been predicting it already so there is nothing new about it. Besides, it has started already in 2021 but things didn't work out well so maybe this year there will be chances for it to happen. We'll just wait and see.
2817  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 16, 2022, 09:45:27 PM
I have an unpopular opinion that the price changes should not be discussed as much on the bitcoin discussion board. There are so many other interesting topics about bitcoin network besides price movements and some of that should be the main focus of bitcoin.
There is a Trading discussion board and a speculations child board where topics related to price actions should go.

No one can determine if we are at the cusp of a bear market or if the bull cycle is not over yet.
I guess we'll only know once bitcoin has fall down below $30k and that is a good sign that the market is certainly bearish. For now, i am not yet convinced that its already bear season, bitcoin is still struggling to reach $45k so definitely, bitcoin is still in a good shape.

However, its already expected that we will have a bear market this year so in less time, we will be riding on it. I think most of the altcoins are already in big dumps so if bear season enters the market, expect that altcoins will be dumping more just like with bitcoin.
2818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we sell all crypto now? on: January 16, 2022, 08:47:43 PM
If you are in need of money in urgency then you can sell it and if you have the capacity to hold then I must say its time to hold not to be a panic seller but nobody knows about the market will go in which direction but still I feel market sentiment is good as of now So I am also holding it patiently.
There is a high chance that the market will go down again, but we shouldn't be selling our coins when the market starts going down as it creates more selling pressure and eats up the buy wall that was supporting the price. Best bet would be to wait for the storm to pass or already convert the investment into some other at the time when the storm started.
It's still best to hold them and just wait for the market to recover and become stable again. Selling them this time will only make you lose because you are not supposed to sell your coins when there is dip, its made for you to create buy orders. So if you can be patient enough to hold them, then there will be no losses for sure. You may sell them when you see bitcoin reaches its new peak, because that will be a sign that altcoins are also in a good position already.
2819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Wins of 2021 ($550,000+) on: January 16, 2022, 03:49:16 PM

There's nothing wrong sharing your successes in the internet. No one knows you personally and there's no threat at all and that's why when someone shares his success, we should just be happy for them.

It's an achievement for them to share and maybe they don't have any others on their back to be proud of their achievement. So, let's all just be happy when someone does it.

Well every people have their own interpretation on this kind of achievement or success story shared on a social media or internet. Some were being inspired by a success story but some may find it a chance to do bad things. I mean I do agree that there's nothing wrong by sharing your success or achievements however I believe also that we should have a control on what kind of information do we like to disclose to public. In OP's case, I don't think he made a mistakes to share it here in forum for me I take it as an inspiring story.

I find it inspiring too if there's no hidden purpose. That kind of winning is huge, it will convince us that winning in sports betting is possible, so we will study more to improve our skill in handicapping and maybe one day we will be as successful as OP, or even more.
2820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 16, 2022, 01:52:17 PM
Casimero, i think needs to have a PR manager to represent him and screen out the words that needs to be released to the press, not raw where there are some misunderstandings that causes chaos and could damage his boxing career.

I agreed with that, after all, they are professional boxers who are known to be the best in the ring not for some trash talks. If they wanted to change their career, they can always consider going auditioning for a rap battle. Of course, a drama before the fight is somewhat likable by the audiences nowadays but doing it overboard will lost their morality at some point. Maybe they can just try to unleash whatever opinion they have on each other when they finalize their fight.

I find his words funny though, he was trying to speak English but he is not fluent enough, so it can mislead the viewers. But that's him, I think it's effective for him but if he will hire a PR, that would be better as it will improve his communication skills and could convey what he really wants to say.
