There is no use of hyperlinks and images in private messages, people use them to trick peoples to go on phishing/java drive by sites and to grab ip address etc.

I'm sure many peoples have seen a fake contest where a guy sent phishing link to over 100 members.

Ps: I think hyperlink and image bb code should be disallowed in pm's, once a guy tried to trick members to go on phishing links/java driveby sites by doing fake contest and a another guy also tried to grab my ip using image lol.

well just let it be there, at least people will know who's spammer or who's not, it will be easy to identify and ban them and it will also keep spammers away from spamming other good threads.

as for scam issue, High Post count = Trusted is old thing, on some forums (eg hackforums) you can't even trust peoples with high reputation.

So use your mind, use escrow, check members history/past and then do deal, you will be safe.

Well i also agree with this, bitcoins increasing price and profitability created a big craze between peoples. If you look at forum's stat you'll find that this forum became 10x active and thousand of peoples,companies started accepting bitcoins from few past months.
