2801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: October 02, 2022, 08:56:32 AM

-Delaware has the strongest regulations around gambling. Players must be at least 18 years old to play the State Lottery. However, an 18-year old may purchase a lottery ticket and give it to a younger person as a gift.
An interesting question is, If the younger person wins the lottery from the gifted ticket, will the state agree too pay them or wait till they come of legal age??

There is a conflict on that term if they don't allow below 18 years to play the state lottery then they should not let a younger person acquire a lottery ticket even as a gift, since they do not allow 18 years to play the State Lottery they will either void it or wait for the kid to reach 18 years old to receive his prize but what if the younger person is only 10 years when he receives the lottery ticket and won a jackpot he'll have to wait 8 years to receive the prize, it's better not to give the younger person a lottery ticket in case of a win there will be issues.
In this case, lottery tickets should not be given to minors in countries that have such restrictions. But here if the guardian of that minor boy or girl takes responsibility then there should not be any kind of problem. In this case I would only express my interest in giving the responsibility to the father or mother of the minor. Otherwise if he is 10 years old then he should wait for another 8 years ‍according to the requirement of that particular country.

I don't know if someone out there really had received a lottery ticket as a gift. No one is doing this in my country.  But for instance, if it happened and the ticket won, all the kid do is make an arrangement with the guy who gave the ticket so they can both get the money. Why wait?

Isn't there an expiration of ticket which the winner may not be able to claim anymore by a month?

2802  Economy / Economics / Re: Currencies are Collapsing Everywhere. on: October 02, 2022, 08:43:35 AM
they are frothing for a CBD right now.

Sounds like a plan. But What we need by now to establish trust is a currency that is backed by Gold. If its just CBDC, it will not be a good thing still. I doubt people will be going for it.

While on the other side Russia and China are planning to have thier own system similar to Bretton Woods Agreement which they also have BRICS bank and probably something like IMF as well.
2803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More reasons why it will always be Bitcoin for me on: October 02, 2022, 04:03:14 AM
In just a few more years, BTC will be adopted by banks too.  I know there is no need for us to deposit our BTC to them but normally people trust banks. If they do not realize this, many of the BTC will be taken from regular people by bankers. The sad part of having a society that trusts an organization that keeps stealing from them.

And it will only take one advertisement from a bank that they are giving away $1 worth of BTC to sign up to thier app.
2804  Economy / Economics / Re: The dollar is surging. This is who gets helped and hurt by its newfound strength on: October 02, 2022, 03:01:28 AM

It's bad for importers and exporters which in the end is the US government that is just making money. With the strength of the USD, only their neighboring countries which are part of America will be trading with them. The strength of the currency will isolate the economy as the other side of the world is starting to abandon using USD also.

The government can't also bring the price down because the people will feel inflation if its value also goes down.
2805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chinese version of Metaverse will be great for meta casinos. on: October 02, 2022, 02:24:30 AM

It will be like Mobile phones which were not very common back in the 90s and then suddenly become very cheap because technology is adopted.
Alibaba producing VR equipment will make the adoption of Meta down our doorstep and the more it will be fast since we all are just used to the internet already.

The downside is that generations will all gonna be couch potatoes just sitting all day long eating chips.
And that is exactly what it should worry us, our technology is advancing at such a speed that we are having problems adjusting our behaviors to use that technology in a responsible manner.

Without a doubt the metaverse is going to become incredibly successful, but we need to wonder what kind of cost this new technology is going to have in terms of our development as human beings? After all, we can see that smart phones are already having a huge effect on the development of people and it is to be expected that the metaverse has an even greater effect on them.

On the other hand, information spread fast and widely all over the world, and what the youth would do in reaction to the information they got with the technology was unimaginable 25 years ago. Today we are almost disconnected from nature. I visited a swimming class the other day, non of those kids had ever tried swimming in rivers but everyone started staring at their phones during class break.

With Metaverse like what Alibaba is doing, it's far more advance. I can compare this to the movie MUTE on Netflix, that's what might just happen I imagine seeing someone just standing using a Contact Lense on thier eyes as a device for the meta.
2806  Economy / Economics / Re: 23 Countries Now Abandoning US Dollar on: October 01, 2022, 03:15:25 AM

So where is this BRICS bank located?

I have also watched some Bloomberg news about countries abandoning the use of USD in trading which started when Russia demands the use of the Ruble. The comments of the people were, Yuan will become a reserve because it's the 2nd largest economy but why would Russia allow this also that's a question.

If they are to make it fair as they are agreeing to abandon USD, they should at least remove the possibility that any of them can just take the foreign reserve of a country. Bitcoin will be more suitable as the reserve currency.
2807  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of new SCAM on google play! SoBit: Bitcoin wallet on: October 01, 2022, 01:56:25 AM

When a wallet is not being vouched by some users in this forum, it would be unusual. Any action that can potentially lose funds, you may really need to research or ask in a thread. There are many more of these unknown wallets in google play if you search it.

You just can't tell any more which one is a scam or not if you don't research and see what others are saying about the wallet. They do have a good-looking website, done professionally.
2808  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Banned on: October 01, 2022, 01:15:03 AM

This link would be of help:
https://www.imoney.my/articles/binance-malaysia/amp

Can you use Binance in Malaysia? Officially, no. Binance is listed on the Securities Commission Malaysia's (SC) Investor Alert List, which identifies unauthorised websites, products, companies or individuals. The SC advises investors not to invest with any companies or individuals that aren't licensed or approved.

Quote
Binance to be disabled in Malaysia
The SC has also made it harder for Malaysians to access Binance. On July 30, it announced that it would take enforcement actions against Binance for continuing to operate illegally in Malaysia. It has ordered Binance to:

Disable the Binance website (www.binance.com) and mobile applications in Malaysia within 14 business days from July 26, 2021
Immediately cease all media and marketing activities, including circulating, publishing or sending any advertisements and/or other marketing material, whether via emails or otherwise, to Malaysian investors
Immediately restrict Malaysian investors from accessing Binance’s Telegram group

Seem more than a year already since his country was blocked from accessing the platform including the app. He must not be a regular trader for not noticing it.

Is binance safe? Here's the quote written in the article using VPN may instead cost you more trouble.  A warning for other countries that are not friendly to crypto.

Quote
if you choose to invest with Binance through VPNs, you’re doing so at your own risk. And the risks can be high – a quick glance of the Binance subreddit shows a ton of threads from disgruntled users who discovered missing coins or have been locked out of their account. According to these users, the Binance’s customer support only responds to their cases weeks later, if at all.

Some US citizens shared that they were able to resolve their account issues by reporting to the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. Malaysians won’t have this option, as the exchange is not regulated here.

2809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing and the casino business. on: October 01, 2022, 12:36:58 AM
It may be profitable but it's not a guarantee investing in casinos may look appealing but you need to do diligent research, checking the information on the internet and on how these casinos perform in the market just saw this now, investing in casinos is like gambling you need to invest what you can afford to lose, you need financial advice from a stockbroker and financial advisor although investing in the Cryptocurrency market is more volatile than casino investing

Great chart, thanks! I wrote about this right on the first page without even checking the charts of stock quotes - casinos have long become a traditional business and if the entire market falls, then their shares also fall. Now the whole market is in recession and it is more profitable to hold cash than stocks (or even short, but this is very dangerous since on average the market is always going up and you have to guess a good short point). Maybe after the end of the crisis it will be profitable to buy shares that are at the bottom.

It will take long before the crisis will end, however. and by the time it's almost over that we can see improvements, the stocks may probably be bought and accumulated by the wealthy investors wanting to dominate the industry.

Even when the stocks are crashing, the price still is very unaffordable for small investors. More people will prefer to store food in times of crisis than spend to get 100 MGM or WYNN stocks.
2810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: September 30, 2022, 04:36:20 PM

Major cities already have big casinos for every tourist interested to gamble. They travel so far to experience the high life in Resorts World.

You'd be surprised to know that there is a country where a 5 yr old kid is already allowed to gamble. There were discussions like this already, here is one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230360.20 But looking again at the wiki page Malawi age limit had already been updated. So far regulations of countries already agreed above 18.

2811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: September 30, 2022, 02:52:33 AM
A good understanding and an established trust will allow you to wait and patiently hold either you choose casino tokens or another alternative assets to invest your money.
Patient and holding always never be profitable . Because if we make a wrong decision without understanding and wait by investing in a scam token then it will not be good for us rather we will lose all our money. So we always need a proper analysis and proper decision to invest .
Depends on a certain coin on which you've been holding, whether it is something that worth to be hold or something it is really just basically a waste of your time and money on doing so.
Invest on casino tokens that we do have now, then we are seeing that the price isnt really that much interesting. There might be some instances that it could really be that worth
but it really depends on the project on where it is attached but most of the time these things do really drops in value plus when it comes into its utility then it do usually
falls down on having no other places for its application.
Mentioned three gambling token on this topic not too bad but still not soo strong . these token platform is still going well and there casino still good and bit popular but the team of these token still not ready to list there token on major exchange like Kucoin , FTX ,OKK that's why we can't expect a huge number of profit from here yet. but we can see the future update of there.

It's not that they are not ready. Casino tokens I think are limited to exchanges as there are legal issues with blockchain-based crypto games. And so the reason they are mostly on DEX.

If ever crypto casino tokens are listed on popular exchanges as you mentioned, the tokens will really be growing. BFG seems to have been backed by great team that they managed to get on CEX.

2812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Three questions for old crypto fans on: September 30, 2022, 02:08:20 AM

Never run out of projects in blockchain. Smartcontract platform competition was the first to have come up and outranking each up to this day.

Lisk is one, it didn't really fail but I think the support just went down because of the new coins and projects that came out.
It will happen like a cycle.
In a year or a couple, there will be new players or old ones being hyped by some billionaire or whales to put them in the high rankings. But, I won't be so sure about their intentions, it may not be good and was only done for selfish profits. That is where you have to be careful with.

Been around that time also. It was when more of the users has the enthusiasm to really support projects thinking this is the future. The prices of the tokens including Startis and Lisk and etc shoot to the moon while we got them for less than $0.20 I believe. Comes bear market after 2017, none had ever improved.

Maybe because I sold and unsubscribed already but I should be seeing threads in the forum if they were to update investors. No one talks about them anymore in the forum.

2813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: determine a good project on: September 30, 2022, 01:19:46 AM
I completely agree with you, the bear market shows which projects will survive and which will disappear. It requires a strong team, a fundamental idea, and a close-knit community that believes in the project.
Now we are in a deep bear market, and I have chosen the fundamental Amulet Protocol project for myself.
It is a decentralized risk protection protocol for the Rust-based ecosystem initially deployed on Solana.
I am convinced that Amulet Protocol has a future because you cannot build a long-lasting profitable project without risk insurance.

Thank you for shilling your project, but we currently have dozens of potential top projects and their prices are heavily discounted suitable for buy so we don't need to add any new projects here. During a bear market, investing in a new project is a bad idea and it would be unwise to develop a new project during bear season. The bear market doesn't have much hype, it's mostly a scam so most investors will be very restrained and timid when it comes to putting their money in. Even the king of the bitcoin market is still facing a severe downturn, influenced by the macroeconomic situation, so it is not wise to invest in a new project at this time.

True that. New projects will be an unwise thing to do whereas in the bear market the prices of the best projects we have seen in the bull market have all plunged as well. So why invest in new projects that may not even be listed on exchanges when there are great projects already at a discounted price?

Just pick the top 10-20 coins you see in the CMC or better yet get BTC alone.

2814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing and the casino business. on: September 30, 2022, 12:36:30 AM

It can be worth it if you can make a steady income out of these investments, if not then it's just another loss. People in crypto are for crypto stocks. Several blockchain casinos over time also become unprofitable but it has something to do with the bear market.

And with the bear market, the odds are not on the casino's side unless it's the most famous online and has stocks. If Stake.com only has it, many of us may have already accumulated.
2815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My thoughts and now my experience. on: September 29, 2022, 07:40:58 AM

That diversification is likely the most worse advice to newbies who had not seen the bear market yet. They will only realize it while the bear market had been around for almost a year and thier down to -80% for holding it.

Heck, I have lost too. But not that I know the cycle will keep cycling whether you have money to invest or not, the 4-year cycle will keep cycling.
2816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 29, 2022, 07:16:19 AM

In a dilemma whether to buy or just hold the stablecoin.
Any forecast for the price to go back to $17k and down to $14K?  I've speculation saying this is possible.

Russian Exchanges Ready to Launch International Crypto Payments, Lawmaker Reveals

The largest exchanges in Russia are ready to begin operating with cryptocurrencies right after authorities legalize cross-border settlements in crypto, according to a leading member of the Russian parliament. The stock and commodity trading platforms in Moscow and St. Petersburg are working to develop this market, the high-ranking official added.

https://news.bitcoin.com/russian-exchanges-ready-to-launch-international-crypto-payments-lawmaker-reveals/

Traders are also waiting for the green candles. Stock and commodity trading platforms of Russia adopting crypto, should also signal its time for all other countries to do the same. I heard Putin was also planning to use BTC for international payments for gas. It will bring more macro investors in countries to have access to crypto.

2817  Economy / Economics / Re: America Has Lost Its Oil Buffer on: September 29, 2022, 06:38:52 AM
A big problem US is facing which nobody seems to dare to point out is that the amount of oil they used to steal from other countries has significantly decreased over the past 2 years.

You see, US is the biggest consumer of energy and they rely on importing oil. But for the past 20 years, due to invasion of oil rich countries like Iraq, Yemen and even Syria they have been stealing a ton of oil from them which they brought to US for domestic use.
But over the past 2 years their military positions in all those countries (specially around the oil facilities they illegally control) were being attacked hard to the point that they have lost almost all the oil they were stealing. According to CENTCOM the attacks have increased 400%. For example the output of Syrian oil has decreased more than 80% that's hundreds of thousands of barrels. So obviously they have to dip into the reserves and US oil itself is running out real fast to the point that experts predict that US is only going to have oil to extract for a couple of more years (best case scenario is 5 years).

The worst part is that the Americans have already fucked with anybody who has a lot of oil: Russia, Venezuela, Iran, ... Even the Saudis (aka the 51st US state) is shifting to the East.
The coming year or two will be very interesting in global politics to see if or how they are going to manage it this time.

With so many enemies made in the past, they have been making proposals to them even the President they once call terrorists. Germany had also tried repairing thier relationship with countries they were quarreling hoping to make a deal with oil, it's proof that we are really not prepared for what is coming. The electricity we use today is produced thru these fossil fuels we get from OPEC countries where we also plug the EVs. A few week ago, it's funny because they were restricting EVs to be recharged.

But it's still too unbelievable for US to have a low reserve because there are sources still like Syria, Canada or Venezuela.
2818  Economy / Economics / Re: Buckle up, America: The Fed plans to sharply boost unemployment on: September 29, 2022, 06:13:07 AM
While the united states has historically excelled at getting itself into trouble. It has recently had great difficulty with exit strategies.
Oh, the US has always been horrible with exit strategies, let's face it.  It has yet to deflate a bubble without causing it to explode; it hasn't figured out a way to finance the country without taxing people to death and overspending....to put it bluntly, the government needs to be a hell of a lot smaller, and it needs some brighter economists working for it (and by "it" I mean the American people).

Meanwhile, prices keep going up every time I go to the grocery store, which is at least twice a week.  It's frustrating.  I hope all these new IRS agents go after the big tax evaders instead of watching these $600 transactions, which I find to be ridiculous to say the least.

They have become too big, they have to buy out every ally that's failing and supported a lot of countries where their military is while most of them are not developing anything. It got to its limit already. Historically, they messed up when it should have stopped in the time of Nixon when Gold is the standard.

Today, there is no stopping a world leader from printing and making it look like its price is going up. And while the value of the $ grows, it's also going to be heavier for other countries to trade with US. It will cost them high compared to their local currency.
2819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 29, 2022, 05:17:41 AM
When people start these vs threads they should really make them polls. I’m curious who the community feels is going to win this one but don’t want to read through and tally everything myself. I think that youth is going to beat experience in this one, but I also don’t think Jake can knock him out so we’ll have to see if he can win when it comes down to a decision.

Youth can win especially that the experienced one does not specialized in boxing, though it's still the same combat sport. However, boxing may have required more stamina than MMA as you need to keep your feet and head moving, otherwise you'll never get a momentum.
I've read through some of the users sentiments in this match, and I guess most users here thinks neither of both have the same percentage of winning. And yeah, the thing that separates this two on determining who will this match  is the youth and experience.

There is a chance the fight results in to draw. Jake has so much respect for Silva, he admits it as he is a fan and they even have photos together with Anderson and the Logan kids. No trashing and no need for the fight to be hyped because it's The Spider they are fighting. However, if this is not really a fixed/exhibition fight, Anderson will lose.

Unlike what the situation with Floyd and Jake which they are trash-talking recently. They might fight too. Jake is killing the market with his upcoming fights. He is just hitting big celebrity names.

2820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chinese version of Metaverse will be great for meta casinos. on: September 28, 2022, 05:43:47 AM

The downside is that generations will all gonna be couch potatoes just sitting all day long eating chips.

There is a crucial difference with the wave of availability and popularity we lived with the smartphones (specially with those that ran Android) and it was the fact the OS of those products: Android is/was open source, any company could make their own phones and these would be able to communicate and use the same apps that the phones mass produced by other companies and competitors had.

In the case of the Metaverse, I highly doubt Facebook/Meta will release their source code or even make a deal with foreign companies so their metaverse works on Chines VR sets (Since meta wants to make money off the sale of their own sets), in this scenario, there is no sign of compatibility as there is with smartphones.

Nobody would buy three VR sets in other to get in three different metaverses made by three different companies, the same way nobody would buy three phones in the imaginary scenario IPhones only could communicate with other Apple products, Galaxies only with other Sansumg phones and so on.

They are not going to release source code, Alibaba will not need those codes. All VR sets will work on meta as long as they can connect to the internet. It's the same as phones or VR sets created by the Japanese or Germans, it can access to the internet or Meta of China.

If Meta is the future, these phone companies like Samsung and Apple will start producing VR sets also for businesses to grow.
