Since the planet Earth doesn't have a birth certificate to record its formation, scientists have spent hundreds of years struggling to determine the age of the planet. By dating the rocks in the ever-changing crust, as well as neighbors such as the moon and visiting meteorites, scientists have calculated that Earth is 4.54 billion years old, with an error range of 50 million years.

This is the point. The ever-changing part.

When you find out how fast water can create a canyon if it running fast enough and strong enough, you will find that this form of standard geology is way off.

Trees lying across several hundred thousands of years of standard dated strata in the ground, shows how far off this can be.

Dating by moon and meteors doesn't really mean anything, because nobody knows what goes on in space geology.

I don't doubt that scientists do their best, but their best can be way off.

I mean, how retarded can you flat earth jokers get?

Get a common, household, glass drinking glass. Fill it up to the very brim with water. Then, very carefully fill it above the rim of the glass. Notice that the water can be piled up higher than the rim of the glass for a tiny distance. The water actually curves in this bulge, down to the rim of the glass. This proves that water is NOT flat. The earth is round, and the water curves as it tries to find the rim of the glass.

28064  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: September 10, 2016, 06:36:01 AM
I intend to keep on placing bitcoins into the Forex Paradise "600% in 60 Days" plan, except if they initiate a better plan, that is.

My method will be to have a separate "account" for my earnings from FP. At the end of each 60 days, I will withdraw my earnings into this account. Then I will submit half of the whole account back into the "600% in 60 Days" plan. This should give me, like, $250,000 worth of bitcoins in one year... provided the price of Bitcoin doesn't change, and that FP remains strong that long.

I'll certainly make every attempt at letting you folks know if Forex Paradise doesn't quadruple my bitcoins in about a month from now. Of course, I'll let you know if they do.

And, sorry about being off topic with this. The topic has to do with "doubling," not "quadrupling."    Cheesy

Instead of believing in this nonsense, knowledgeable people know that the Earth goes up with constant acceleration of 9.81 m / s - that's why any abandoned objects fall down to the same acceleration. And do not worry about what will happen when the planet reaches its maximum speed - most likely, it will never happen. Checkmate your theory of relativity, Albert!

Please try not to regurgitate the controlled opposition nonsense from the Flat Earth Society, the Earth is motionless!

The earth is full of motion. Consider that simple heat is molecules in motion. What about earthquakes and volcanoes?

... How does gravity work in this model ? ...

There is no gravity, denser than air objects fall and less dense objects rise.

That's semantics. You are simply redefining "gravity."

If there were no language, people would still walk the earth rather than floating off into the air. That is what gravity does no matter what word you use for it. Call it "density" if you want. Other folks call it "gravity." It's simply a word describing something.

In addition, your explanation of what density is and does, and how it works, is a redefining of the word "density." Probably your redefinition isn't scientifically possible anyway. Note that I am not saying that Einstein's Theory of Gravity is accurate. I am simply talking about using gravity for gravity, and density for density.

If you folks would stop trying to mix people up by changing definitions, you would have a head start on convincing anyone about flat earth. As it is, you sound like you have been on LSD too long.

This sounds like expanding universe theory. Didn't Albert believe in expanding universe, too? Or did he simply misunderstand it?

I was referring to the 237,000 mile figure

Do you agree the moon is ~237,000 mi away from the Earth ?
No, it's nonsense.  It is about ~3000 mi away.

BTW have you get any idea how much power it takes to transmit data. I give you a little hint. It rises with the distance squared. A couple of flimsy solar panels from pluto or heck knows from where, yeh sure.

Tight-beam, maser (radar) radio transmits a lot further.    Cool

Yeah, there's always an amusing love-hate relationship between BADlogic and carbon dating. He just cherrypicks when it works and when it doesn't, desperately trying to patch up his untenable beliefs.
So, you are trying to hide the fact that carbon dating doesn't tell us anything about the age of the earth, right?

Young earth oddballs try desperately to instill doubt in carbon dating, yet if they paid a little more attention to what was going on they would discover, to their horror, that heat is their downfall.
There isn't any doubt that carbon dating works. It works very well, in fact. It's just that it can't be applied beyond 4,500 years ago, or so. Why not? Because up to 4,500 years in the past is all the further back we can go with standard "pottery-style" dating methods. What do standard "pottery-style" dating methods have to do with it? We don't know beyond that time how much C-14 was in the atmosphere IF ANY. And the further back we go, the less certain about C-14 in the atmosphere we become.

Now, this wouldn't be so bad if the scientists and the media and the books all said it straight out, rather than trying to hide the fact that we don't know if carbon dating can be accurately applied beyond 4,500 years back.

Earth could not of possibly cooled down quickly enough in their absurd timeframe. Heat we are talking about here is enough to easily boil all earths oceans to steam.

Amusing.

We don't know that earth was hot. Without even considering what religions say, we simply don't know that earth was hot in the first place. All that formation of stars and planets info is simply unproven theory. The FACT is that we just don't know about heat on the earth in the distant past.

Wake up. You are becoming denser than the earth's core.

NASA and other world governments have spent untold Billions (Trillions even) of dollars sending probes into space, and all sorts of spiffy STEM research resulting in photographic and mathematical evidence revealing spheroid planetary shapes.

How come we have not one photo showing that the Earth is flat ? Where is proof of a dome (What is it made of, for example ?) Where are photos of this alleged ice wall that surrounds a flat earth ?

Whenever I press the FE's in the thread on the science of things, all I get is links to (very) poorly produced videos on YouTube that are hyperbolic at best.

Hmm.

With the Billions Quadzillions spen how come we dont have a photo showing the Globe earth.
Or have you got one? Dont try to find one at NASA they will tell you straight up that they dont have one, only cgi's.

BADecker reminds me of Comical Ali (Chemical Ali)

More than likely, nano-thermite was secretly known back when the Towers were built. It was mixed in with the concrete (the construction workers didn't know what they were mixing) in preparation for the day when the Towers would have to be demolished. Even the igniting charges were built in. The buildings could have been taken down at any time.

The rest of the complex buildings have nano-thermite built into them, as well. People who work in the buildings are sitting inside time bombs.
