2821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can good news impact crypto value without whales? on: June 01, 2021, 02:54:46 PM
Imagine a world of crypto without millionaires and whales will good news even affect crypto value or not? I believe crypto market can be manipulated to increase in value and also decreased in value so why not just ride along with these so called whales? They will crash the market so that's a perfect time to buy, they will also pump when the time is right and that's the time to sell, this is just my own way of making money, ride along with the whales

Recently i observed that news about partnerships or developments or whatever are not having an direct impact at the price anymore like they did have a few years ago. Now big news go almost unnoticed most of the times or only have a minimal effect on the price of the project. Back in the day a coin pumped when it was only mentioned in mainstream media and nowadays no one cares anymore. Where we can still see a reaction of the price is when a listing on a major exchange is announced, but most of the time those price pumps are only temporarily and after a few days the price is almost back to normal again.
2822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sumo betting seems rigged - can you make profit with it? on: June 01, 2021, 10:38:49 AM
It has been said that Sumo, the Japanese fighting sport is not as clean as it should be. Apparently, in the maximum cathegory - short of a premier league - there is tendency to let win those who need to win in order to remain in that cathegory. This was studied and mentioned later on a book called Freakconomics.

Well if that is the case than i am not sure if this can be called rigging in the sense of outside interference and bribing? I mean it sounds more like a unwritten rule between the participants of the highest league that they just don't go all out against a opponent that might get relegated if they would lose that match. Of course that is still not a right thing to do but the reasons why they are doing it are not because of manipulation but because of traditions. If bettors know about this fact though than i think it is a good opportunity to place a bet their on the underdog, because it could give you some nice return.
2823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance too big to fail? on: June 01, 2021, 10:32:53 AM

What are your thoughts? Is Binance too big to fail? If not, why? Do you think Binance has too much power/influence over the crypto/Blockchain industry? How will it affect crypto (either positively or negatively) in the long term? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

I think that over the last couple of months binance really reached the stage of "to big to fail" except some really extraordinary stuff happens. Binance is the biggest altcoin exchange for quite some time now and it works flawlessly almost all the time, although a lot of projects switched from the ethereum network to binance smart chain recently because there you have almost instant transactions and like 0,10$ transfer fees.
I would not like it though if binance becomes too strong and too dominant in the crypto space, i already don't like the fact that they own coinmarketcap.com now and can therefore kind of control what informations the users get.
2824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Welcome bonuses on: May 31, 2021, 10:16:42 AM
Most online casinos and sports betting sites offer welcome bonuses,  ranged from the free spins to deposit ones,  that maximize  profit, if any, from  the first  deals for newcomers. Sometimes, the advantages of welcome bonuses   are    nullified  by  attached wagering requirements  hidden in the terms and conditions (T&C) that regulate gambling on those sites. Would you read T&C before go ahead and make your first deposit attracted by those welcome bonuses?

There was a post here a few weeks ago from a user that also received a welcome bonus and then made a huge profit with it and then when he wanted to withdraw his funds from the gambling site the withdrawal was denied by the gambling site because he did not met the requirements of the terms and conditions. He was only allowed to play certain types of games with the money from the welcome bonus and also only with bets. So this is another example why you should always read the T&C, otherwise you are in for a bad surprise and a potential multi thousand dollar win will be worthless.
2825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where you when bitcoin, ethereum, BNB and other altcoins reach ATH on: May 31, 2021, 10:03:12 AM
where you when bitcoin, ethereum, BNB and other altcoins reach ATH. at that time what did you do. buy more? sell all the coins in your portfolio? or just keep quiet because you think it's too late to follow the trend.

When you look at the market today, are you sorry you made that decision?

I personally regret selling before the coins I own reach their highest price. but glad that the decision wasn't entirely wrong. seeing the bad state of the market today, I am grateful for the choice I made. so what about you, what choice did you make?

I am one of those guys that never sell and then regret it afterwards. During the last bullrun i mainly bought into new projects via presales and my portfolio had a nice total value a few weeks ago but of course i did not sell anything back then and now the worth of my portfolio is like 1/5th of what it was at the beginning of may   Cry. That being said the main reason i did not sell something back then was that i have to hold my coins for 1 year then i don't have to pay taxes on the profit and i still prefer to have less profit which is tax free than more where i have to pay taxes.
2826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 30, 2021, 10:46:50 AM
Few weeks to the UCL finals, I believed and predicted that Mancity will win. But few minutes to the final when I saw the line up, it became obvious to me that Chelsea will take the day.
Tuchel came up with a strong midfield and a natural striker.
Mancity in the other hand came up with strong midfield without a natural striker. I was shocked Guardiola came up with his well mastered tactics by all.

I really believe that guardiola is one of the top football coaches on this planet maybe even the best, because so far every team that he coached and even the individual players of the team became better. But when the big and important matches come his teams somehow can't really deliver. It was the same at bayern munich where they were eliminated 3 times from the champions league even though they were the better team and now the same with ManCity. I think sometimes he is overcomplicating stuff and always wants to do something special on top for big matches, but i guess most of the times less would be more here.
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All the crypto industry is running by shills on: May 30, 2021, 10:42:31 AM
Especially the smaller market cap coins. But even big coins like XRP, ADA etc I can almost gurantee you that they are paying for shills.
Don't beleive everything you see in Youtube and in Reddit. ADA to $10 eoy
Theta to $1000 and all of this shit.

Youtubers get 30K for 1 video to talk about the coin

I think that the big and established projects don't really have to pay for shills anymore because those are multi million dollar comapnies and everyone knows those projects already and i don't think some youtube oder twitter shiller with 50k subscribers will have any impact on that. Those shillers do that because they own bag of those projects themself and therefore they want the price to rise.
It's different on new and upcoming projects though. Crypto influencers often get a private sale allocation for this projects if they advertise for this projects, then once the project goes live and is tradeable those influencers will dump their big bags on to their followers.
2828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 29, 2021, 09:14:56 PM
Well deserved Chelsea win. Maybe it wasn't most exciting Champions league final we ever saw, but it wouldn't be possible for Chelsea to win in different style.

I agree. Chelsea was definitely stronger in the first half even though they needed like 15 minutes or so to find their rhythm but then they took control over the game and therefore their 1-0 lead shortly before the halftime break was well deserved and of course also at the perfect time. Even after the break Mancity did not manage to create enough big chances. I feel sad for kevin de bruyne though that was probably his biggest match in his career so far and then he had to be substituted early in the second half. I am pretty sure that Mancity would have managed to create more chances with de bruyne still on the pitch.
Overall a deserved win for chelsea...big contrats to tuchel and his team.
2829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most of your coins are going to be worthless in years. on: May 29, 2021, 04:53:12 PM
It has to be said. Its common sense. There are thousands of coins. Scamcoin, losercoin, Shiba coin. All real coins btw.

That is absolutely true, but i want to restrict that statement or rephrase it to "all of your meme-coins will be worthless in a few years" probably even already in a few months and this is a good thing in my opinion. Those meme-coins took away so much volume and market-cap from "real" projects or projects with a use-case that it was very harmful for the whole crypto-market in my opinion and maybe even the main-reason for the falling prices that we see since 2 weeks. It is also true though that even some "good" projects will be dying in the next couple of years that is just how the market works and you also need a little bit of luck to establish your project successfully.
2830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 29, 2021, 10:18:52 AM
I'm almost certain that most people believe Chelsea is the loosing side today. So much tension in the air already on what the outcome would be and Chelsea fans can only wish because, the team doesn't seem to have what it takes to actually contest for a final, UCL final at that with Manchester City and win. Well, I'm scared for Chelsea but I desire them to win tonight. Let London be blue again.

I think the outcome of today's final is completely open. Maybe Mancity has the slightly stronger squad but chelsea is also in very good shape and tuchel has managed to get the best out of every chelsea player.
It is also a pretty special match because thomas tuchel is a huge fan and admirer of pep guardiola. Back when guardiola was coach of bayern munich and thomas tuchel was coach of mainz, tuchel asked guardiola if they could meet to talk about football-tactics and philosophies.
They then met in a restaurant in munich and talked extensively about football.
2831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this a correction in before altseason 2021 ? on: May 29, 2021, 10:08:59 AM
Hey frds what you think is this is a correction before altseason 2021 bcoz major coins are in support range .

Like others already said in this thread, we already had a altseason from around the end of 2020 to mid may 2021. Now we experience a phase of price corrections, which is completely normal after such a bull run. Now we have to wait and see if it really only is a short and healthy correction phase or if we go into full bear mode now for a longer time. I certainly hope that BTC will not drop down below 30k and ETH will stay above 2k and that we then see increasing prices again, also for small cap coins as my portfolio consists mostly of them, but no one can tell you what will happen for sure.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on Medieval MMA? on: May 28, 2021, 02:05:26 PM
Probably most people don't know a championship where players team up wearing medieval armors and wielding real weapons like swords, axes and halberds to fight against another teams exist nowadays, but it does. The event exists since 2013 and already counts with the participation of 26 nations which send a team of your own to the competition. Each year the championship is executed in a different country and there is already an International Federation responsible for it (International Medieval Combat Federation)

Would you have interest in betting in a sport like this and promoting it, so it could become more popular until being included in gambling's platforms?

As someone who is really interested in history i like that kind of "sports" or events and i also watched the TV-Show "knight fight" a little bit. But I wouldn't bet on it at the moment, because the sport is still too small and too unpopular and therefore no or only very little money can be earned with it. This then automatically means that the participants are much more receptive to any attempts at bribery. If the sport gets bigger in the future though then of course it would just be as good as any other sport to bet on it.
2833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more green? on: May 28, 2021, 01:59:06 PM
Hello,
According to Elon Musk concern about the Bitcon energy consumption, which of TRON, EOS, Stellar Lumens, Nano, Chia, BitGreen and Cardano coins are good?

Thank you.

Well as a simple overview i would say basically every coin that is using proof of work as their consensus mechanism is not environmentally friendly because people need to run machines with high computing power (CPU's, GPU's or ASICs) to validate transactions and mining new tokens which consumes a lot of energy. If you have a project which has proof of stake as it's consensus mechanism than you only need a wallet that is connected to the internet to take part in the network and you will get stakes proportionate to the amount of tokens you hold. You can stake most coins by using a rasperry pi which only consumes a very small amount of electricity like 1-3 watt.
2834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 28, 2021, 11:05:30 AM
Alaba probably official to Real Madrid by the end of the day.

Source: https://twitter.com/theMadridZone/status/1398209719249088512

This is a masterclass player bought for free. gratz.

Real madrid really got a great player here and as you said they didn't have to pay any transfer fee for him so it's a really great deal for them. I think though that real will also have to pay alabas agent a big amount of money, which is a joke but that's just how modern football is. I also read that alaba will earn 12M € yearly after taxes at real, which should be more than 20M € before taxes and this was also the sum that he wanted from bayern munich to prolong his contract but bayern refused to pay that amount because of the covid pandemic. Therefore i think money was the main reason for this transfer.
2835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many large crypto mining operators are moving out of China on: May 28, 2021, 10:59:13 AM
China’s renewed campaign against cryptocurrency has mining and exchange operators retreating from the country.  READ THE COMPLETE ARTICLE HERE: https://worldpublicityblog.com/index.php/2021/05/28/many-large-crypto-mining-operators-are-moving-out-of-china/

It would not surprise me if some of the big mining companies in china are looking into moving to another country now that china made a move against crypto as a whole again. I recently invested into a project where every token you own represents a mining hash rate for BTC and ETH and they have mining pools in china but also one in mongolia, therefore i could really see some companies moving from china to mongolia in the future. Central europe will never be that big in the mining business because the prices for electricity there are simply too high.
2836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocurrency will rise in future? on: May 27, 2021, 01:20:45 PM
The sharp drop means bitcoin had temporarily erased all its gains following Tesla's announcement that it would purchase $1.5 billion worth of the cryptocurrency. It was also down more than 50% since hitting a record high of $64,829 in mid-April

is there any other cryptocurrency that can be rise n future ? if yes then proper details which one is ?

No one can give you an answer on that and if someone in this thread tells you that you need to buy XX Coin because it will definitely go to the moon soon, then you need to be very careful because that is probably just a shiller who wants to promote the coin to you that he already owns. If you believe, that the crypto-market as a whole will continue to grow in the coming years then you can also be pretty sure that the big and established projects will also grow and therefore the price will increase. So if you want to buy coins that you are planning to hodl for a few years than you can't make much mistakes in my opinion if you buy into projects that are in the top 50 or top 100.
2837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 27, 2021, 08:10:46 AM
Yesterdays penalty shoot-out was the longest i ever witnessed live. The game itself was not that exciting but also not completely boring and villareal could keep up with manchester united way better than i expected. ManU was my big favorite for this final as they simply have way better (or only more popular?) individual players. Spanish teams just always do well in the europa league, for teams of other big leagues like england and germany the europa league seems often more like an inconvenience than a exciting championship that everybody wants to be in. Also big congrats to unai emery, he won the europa leauge 4 times now with 2 different clubs.
2838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does matic (polygon) worth to invest? on: May 27, 2021, 08:02:27 AM
Many people claim that matic is better than dogecoin after the recession last week. Do you agree?

Matic and Dogecoin are completely different projects that can not be compared in my opinion. Dogecoin is the mother of all meme-coins and has no real use-case but is very popular in the crypto community. Matic or polygon is a layer 2 solution which wants to resolve the scaling problems of many platforms, especially the scaling problems of the ETH-network. Once ETH 2 with it's proof of stake mechanism is live and running a big use case for matic is gone. Also matic already did a x3 in the last 2 weeks so the best entry point is definitely gone now. If i wanted to invest in matic, i would not do that now but wait for a dip to buy in.
2839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 26, 2021, 04:48:53 PM
The brooklyn nets looked extremely strong in their first 2 playoff matches and they should have no problem to advance into the next round if they hold their current level and if they don't have any injuries on their starting players. The celtics just didn't look strong enough to be a threat for them. That being said, the nets would probably look very superior against every team at the moment. They are the big favorite for this championship and probably the only team that can contest the title are the los angeles lakers if everything goes their way.
2840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost money on the market drop. What should I do? on: May 26, 2021, 04:34:57 PM
I lost a big sum of money because of bitcoin fall. What can I invest in to avoid risks like that? Or at least to bear lower risks?

Do you own bitcoin? If yes have you alrady sold your bitcoin? If no then i would just hodl them because you have only lost your money if you sell them. Just hodl them until they are above the price range where you bought them. This will be the case sooner or later. I hope you don't need to sell because you need the money, but this would be also your fault because you should only invest money into cryptos that you can afford to lose because the crypto market is so unstable. If you own a lot of those meme coins though that came up withing the last weeks and months then i don't have much hope that you will get your money back because most of those projects are already dying.
