Good and open source (when you talk about Bot) are not 2 words that could work together  Wink
This is not necessarily true. It would be possible that a bot is open source but also has many customizable variables that the user can set to trade at certain times/under certain circumstances.

Of course, it's not an universal rule.
If a "very very very good person" wants to loose month of work, changes, releases etc to create a fully functional open source bot, there's the possibility that this bot will be very good. But I don't know about results when a lot of people start to use.

I Sell a Bot, 1 year of hard work, full support, no open source code, no free (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=507103.0)
This is the result of :
- Lot of test and code
- More than 30 release
- Work with users to find the best way to add features
- A Bot create for CryptoCurrency and not using real market patterns (EMA, MAC etc are not useful for Cryptocurrency Market, but many people think different)

2825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: APi to excel on: November 15, 2014, 01:46:06 PM
I'm a Java programmer, so i know how to do it in Java

These are the Library to Write/Read Excel files :

http://poi.apache.org/

And for the Price Part, you must create an HTTP Call according to the site API Interface.
I Mean, if you call Cryptsy, you  must follow this guide : https://www.cryptsy.com/pages/privateapi

Thanks I think I can get the cryptsy API side sorted but the Java side i have know idea at all

would it be possible for you to make a basic flow chart with words  like this to show me the process :-

fill kettle with water/boil water/put teabag in cup/pour water in cup/ ect/ect

LOL very basic will do for a start ,,,,, I am guessing the Java bit what tells excel where to put the data ?

Thanks

Well steps are :

Make An Http Call to the Site (i'm sure you'll find some code on the net to call an API Method)
Parse the Response (usually JSON) and get the Data you need
Write on the Excel using the POI Library.
Here you can find an example
http://www.avajava.com/tutorials/lessons/how-do-i-write-to-an-excel-file-using-poi.html

It's very simple, you create a file, a sheet and after that you will only need to write the values (From the Java point of view, an XLS Sheet is a 2 dimension array)

Yes of course, but you must write a code in the middle

API PRICE <------ YOUR CODE --------> XLS Output

there seems a Kind of hanging!?
here it seems that the GUI is hanging...
no more update of global gain since long time...

Does market log continue writing something or are you able to click any window?
If yes GUI is not hanging, if GUI is hanging probably there's some problem in the Java Virtual Machine, but not sure on C.A.T.

...thinking, maybe me self has triggered the malfunction in doge

No, if an user is able to create a program error it means that there's something to fix.
User can make the programs works bad, but not make the algorithm crash.

but it can also belong to cryptsy, with many lagging Problems!?

This could be.

I will look at it

Well nobody ever ask me something about Market Explorer  Grin Grin
Probably 99% of C.A.t. users doesn't use it

i use it ever, i cant use cat without it!

you see, i found the error there in just 5 seconds!  Grin

I will try to remove the ID and use it only on MyOrder Tab.

!!!!!

i think i found the sulution!!! :

use the id culumn in the current orders also.

so you always can identify your own orders in  there, becouse the other market orders has a "n/a"   !?

It was the Fix, "N/A" actually means that i have no current quantity but only full quantity.

If i hide it, when an user will restore an orders, it won't be able to find the match between the order in the market explorer and the C.A.T. general market log.
I don't understand the problem to have the order ID in that column.....

This way i know where the error is.
Well it's strange, this is a routine that is called Every lookup.
I will look for it

ok, if you find and fix, on this Occasion  pls retouch the explorer as i suggestet. the last inovation isnt nice. at least do the "ID" Default at last culumn. please, please, please!

The new Columns need for the function i'm writing "Restore Orders to Ping"/"Restore Orders To Pong" so i need Current Quantity and ID

Did you get any error in the Errog Market Log? (You could try to search in the Exchange directory into the Error Log Folder).
