Can you find anything that meets the requirements?
On google I can't find the 16x16 one, I am afraid.

I couldn't either which is why someone who knows what they are doing will have to knock something up.
2822  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: July 25, 2018, 12:37:56 PM
Ok here's my stupid idea:

How about a mushroom cloud for 5k, since you're responsible for nuking so many posts!!!
A little explosion for 300 a slightly bigger explosion/smaller mushroom cloud (or maybe diff colour idk) for 1k.

I'm not a graphic designer so I can't make the icons  Angry

This is the best idea yet.

You don't have to be a graphic designer when you have google  Tongue

Can you find anything that meets the requirements?

They have to be exactly 16x16 px (like ), and if you find them online, then they must be copyright-free.

2823  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: July 25, 2018, 12:13:31 PM
Just a question: what about users who don't want to be known as someone who reports actively?

May be a toggle checkbox as an additional option like we have for post count?

Profile > Forum Profile Information

I already have one, check if you have the same  Tongue

I don't have that option yet but it looks like it is giving you the option of whether you want to see the badges or not. What LeGaulois was suggesting was the option to wear or hide your own badge.

Tbf, a lot of posts on this forum seem spammy. Determining if a post is ridiculously made so that it is spammy seems very difficult to do.

That's true but coming back to this thread every week to make the same dumb points and choosing to reply to a post that's already been answered is a giveaway to the motivation in my opinion. I wonder how the gambling site that pays him would react if I went to their thread every week and told their customer not to gamble.

There is a lot on the forum I don't think many signature spam posts are made in service threads. He's been doing the same repertoire for as long as I can remember. He can't really claim that his points have never been addressed, I was giving a counter argument to them every week long before I started working for Freebitco.in. It's fair enough if he doesn't agree with me but repeating the same arguments time over time serves no purpose beyond meeting his required posts in the gambling section count.
2825  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos worried about traffic? What is reason for underestimate some proposal? on: July 25, 2018, 08:07:52 AM
Is theymos worried about web traffic due to advertising ?

No.

Based on the fact that I now felt that the driving force behind theymos' decisions was not $

Right, I don't care about making money from the forum personally. (I've actually thought about getting rid of the forum ads, since it's often a big headache and the forum has enough reserves for a long time, but operating at a significant loss while there's money basically just sitting on the table feels wrong, even if the level of loss is sustainable for quite a while.)
2826  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: July 25, 2018, 07:35:41 AM
But how about if.
if GoodReports >= BadReports then Good Report Stars will be shown.
else
Bad Report Stars will be shown.

I think that might deter people from reporting for fear of getting it wrong. It would be better to stick to the positive side of the equation.
2827  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: July 25, 2018, 07:00:18 AM
Where would this badge reside? Next to the View Profile and Personal Message icons?

I think it would be under the coins used to depict rank like the other badges already in use.

If you hover the mouse over that Bitcoin symbol you see the text "Bitcoin core developer".

Hey guys I tried to market your site on a forum and it was found to have some issues on it, I was wondering if there is a reason it ticks this way?

It's saying there is a miner for some reason and securicheck is saying the site is malicious. If you could answer or PM me about it maybe I can convince this admin to let me market there.

I used this site that the admin gave me to check my ref link:

I'll answer in public. We used to offer mining as a service that many people enjoyed using. Unfortunately, the antivirus industry classifies that as a trojan even though it clearly isn't. The service is no longer available so that information is incorrect.

Sucuri SiteCheck is a scam. They say our JavaScript is malicious and if you click the link to find out how to remove that listing they ask us for $295 to 'fix' it. You can view all JavaScript source through your browser and see for yourself what it does.
2829  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 25, 2018, 05:12:46 AM
I am not spamming on this, just because there is something I intend to know and never get an answer you are suppose that I am going to spam here? Yes, I am saying do not gamble on this faucet just because it does not worth everyone time and what is wrong with that?

You turn up every Monday when your post count starts again to make the same ridiculous comments that I have answered and pointed out how stupid they are every time. That is spamming and if you can't see what is wrong with spamming a service thread with "I am saying do not gamble on this faucet just because it does not worth everyone time" I wonder what is wrong with you. Learn English and stop talking out of your arse. Go and spam in Gambling Discussions where nobody needs to read your idiocy.
2830  Other / Meta / Re: Copper Accounts on: July 24, 2018, 12:55:49 PM
You'd get even more comments and thanks if there was a Silver and Gold rank with bigger signatures  Wink haha. Copper Rank is largely worthless other than for the images being displayed, but I think for every non-ICO account that buys them it's more about the apparent 'prestige' that comes along with ranks or titles or with anything else that makes them stand out from the rest (no matter how minuscule that is).

I'm sure the prestige thing is an element to it but I'd guess the Member level signature is a bigger driver. Some signature campaigns will accept them on Member level pay and for others, they just want to use links to their own projects. It's easier to buy than getting 10 Merit for a lot of people. Higher level memberships surely would sell like hotcakes.
2831  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 24, 2018, 11:30:48 AM
Nope it is not all about luck, not sure if you haven't seen the past weeks but most of the winners here have hundreds of thousands and even millions of tickets being bought in order just to be one of the top 10 winners.
As you can see the more tickets you have the more chances you are winning, relying just on luck alone when you know your chances are low is like hoping for nothing. And there is no such thing as a "luck quota" people don't even know when they will be lucky or not.

The week before this last one 5 out of ten had more than 100,000 tickets but a quick check of the last 10 or so weeks show those to be in a small minority. Most of the winners had a few thousand to a few tens of thousands and quite a few lower.
I think when someone says it's all about luck they are referring to the principle of betting on random numbers. They are not denying that more tickets give a better statistical chance but luck is still the deciding factor in a game of chance. It's not hoping for nothing, it is hoping for a small chance.

BTW most of the people you see with a very large total of tickets didn't buy them. They get 200,000 free for every 1 BTC wagered.
2832  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: July 24, 2018, 10:43:10 AM
OUCH I already sent the 0.00208333

The title of this thread is "Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images" so as you're not a Newbie that should have been obvious. There is no mention anywhere of increasing any post size limits so I don't know where you got that idea.

From the opening post of this thread:

I am aware that for most people the benefits of this membership are pretty lame. This membership is only intended to fill a specific niche; if you don't need it, don't buy it.
2833  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: July 24, 2018, 09:29:20 AM
hello, I'm planning to pay  0.00208333 BTC, is it true that it will automatically credited to my account?, because I'm planning to Post in translation bounty.
So I need to post image and long paragraph, Is there any limit when it comes to number of words?

You are already a Jr. Member so can post images.

There is a character limit per post (~64,000 IIRC) but that is the same for everyone regardless of rank.
2834  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 24, 2018, 09:13:48 AM
I think we all miss those days (whoever was around then) I did used to like the 1000+ satoshi and was always hoping I'd get the ~0.7BTC top prize there (as far as I remember, it was about 0.7).

The top prize for free rolls was 1 BTC when the site launched and BTC was under $200. Within a couple of weeks BTC shot up to $350 so the prize was reduced to 0.667... then when $500 hit it went down to 0.4.... then someone in the thread came up with the idea of fixing to a USD value and it's been at BTC equivalent of $200 ever since.
IIRC the base prize was higher depending on the geographical region defined by AdSense. So in most first world countries, it was $0.004 rather than $0.002 for the rest of the world.

"The lottery's fixed until I win it" - essentially what we're seeing here again Grin (I haven't won anything yet that I know of).

It's just part of BTCevo's signature spamming repertoire he recycles every week along with the customary 'don't gamble just use the faucet' and my personal favourite 'don't buy lottery tickets because there is no guarantee you will win'.
2835  Other / Meta / Re: Copper Accounts on: July 24, 2018, 07:31:52 AM
Does anyone know how many users have aquired one?
~PS: This feature only restricted to 34 pages by the way.

That gives a minimum of 1,020 accounts but it got to that level many months ago and I'd assume it is many times that by now.

Does anyone know how many users have aquired one?

theymos is probably the best person to answer this but the data could probably be extracted by some the people that keep unofficial data on the forum. Have a look around Meta for the various threads with Merit data analysis.

I think the best benefit of Copper Member is its allowance to post images for Newbie rank.

I think the Member level signature is more highly sought after than the ability to post images as a Newbie.
2836  Other / Meta / Re: BCT have gone a little QUIET. on: July 24, 2018, 07:19:53 AM
I find the forum a little quieter now in terms of discussion. The big rally in price and interest in the latter part of last year has died down. A lot of the subjects like the introduction of Segwit, the forks and Lightning Network are no longer new. There's a little less discussion and controversy about Merit as people are finally getting used to it or haven't been here long enough to remember what it was like before. It's the summer holidays in the northern hemisphere and the streets of London reflect that everyone seems to have left for the beach. The spambots and shitposters still seem to be hard at work though.
2837  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: July 24, 2018, 05:57:47 AM
Interesting, though I wonder how many will actually do this. They are newbies, what are the chances they come across this option before they rank up to Jr. Member, which isn't too much. If they find it when they have say 15 activity points, will it be worth it? So I think it should be an option when someone creates an account.
I think that Copper Membership is quite popular on Bitcointalk, I see many users wearing it. For example, ICO devs, service owners often buy this membership immediately after they buy account. And even after they reach Jr. Member rank this membership is still useful becauseit it gives some Member rank benefits (reduced PM limits, bigger signatures and etc.
Sometimes even Hero or Legendary members buying Copper Membership without any serious reason.

I think a lot of Jr. Members are doing it for the Member level signature. Some campaigns are accepting Jr. Member with Copper membership for a Member spot. That's probably a far more attractive benefit that posting images for newbies.  I'm not sure if it possible to find out how many since the member search function has a maximum 1,020 results display limit.

I'm sure hilariousetc's suggestion of making the higher rank signatures available in more expensive memberships would be equally popular.
2838  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal on: July 24, 2018, 04:41:33 AM
The banned account was active today so presumably temp ban expired:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1252024

It would be quite karmic if it now gets banned again for plagiarism.

The account shows last active when it was last logged into but banning only stops posting and sending PMs. The account hasn't posted since March so I think it is probably permabanned.
2839  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: July 24, 2018, 04:29:15 AM
but why then this effort? what he/she/it says below is true.

In my opinion, it is much more likely that they fell for a phishing site than they are trolling. Maybe too embarrassed to come back and admit it.
2840  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 24, 2018, 04:22:55 AM
Anyway every week there is always 10 winners but why no one ever claimed it here except those that win by using only 0.06 btc

There are at least four 1st place winners that have posted here as I mentioned only last week. I'm not all surprised that you would repeat something wrong that had been corrected so recently, I'm only amazed at why people think that winners are supposed to come forward and identify themselves.
